Jack was a kid again hiding in his room. He father was drunk again and when he drank he go mean. He held his baby sister and kept her quit as their father and hurt his mother.
"John, please stop," Jack held took his sister in the closet where they hid as he heard a slap. Tears ran down his face knowing that his mom would have a horrible bruise.
"I promise, Mary as long as I live he will not hurt you." Jack told his sister. He hid his sister in the laundry basket when his father opened the closet door and threw Jack on the ground and took a belt to the boy.
"Don't you ever try to hide from you lazy, Brat," his father said as the belt came on last time on his back ribbing open the flesh.
"NO!" Jack's scream causing everyone in the North Pole to stop working or waking people up, the yeti saw North running to the medical wings with Mother Nature way ahead of him.
"Jackson, calm yourself. North opened the window let the wind in. She is always by his side," Mother Nature said calming him the best she could, "Jack listen to me. You hurt terrible you mind is going through every painful thing that ever happen to you and trying to make since. Trust the guardian, your sisters, me. We want to help."
"My sister had to keep her safe. Couldn't let him hurt her," Jack cried still feeling the sting of a belt on his back."
"Who?" Mother Nature looked confused.
"My father?" he mumbled and then went quit.
Mother Nature was now more curious about Jack's past and his family. What kind of man was Jack's father?" Jack was a good young man and raised Flurry with more love her father ever gave her.
Jack was scared of his father was to keep his sister safe, "Wind, show yourself," she said clearly.
The made everybody stop as the wind turned into a whirlwind then into a pale slender lady with white her hair with strips of blue and green in it. Her eyes were the color of opals with lips red of the rose, "Yes, Mother."
"How long have you known Jack?"
"Three hundred years. The day he became a spirit Manny insisted I be with him," the wind told the noble woman.
"What can you tell me about his human family. You blew through the village enough time."
The wind looked at Mother Nature and smiled, "It is true that the wind see everything. I remember young Jack. He always had a smile even when his eyes did not. He fooled everybody he had bravery that would make any guardian proud. He first protected his mother when she was pregnant then he protected his baby sister."
Mother Nature looked at Jack who was sleeping fitfully in the hospital bed. The guardians looked at Jack who was a guardian born in the mortal world. Wind went over to the bed and brushed the hair away from his white face and sighed, "You know, Mother, Jack is the only one who knows my real name."
"That was your choice. Just like it my general chose to share their names with whoever they chose," Mother Nature bit her lip and looked at Aurelia, "What about his father?"
The wind looked down and closed her eyes, "James Frost should never been a father. He was blessed with two children and preferred to drink. Martha, Jack's mother, had to hide money so she could buy her children food,"
Wind can you…"
Wind shook her head, "I already said too much. Jack could have asked me what I knew about his family after he became a spirit and I would have told him. He is a brave young man. He is a brave young man, if you need to know anymore about him talk to Nightlight."
"Nightlight?" Bunny looked confused, "We haven't seen him in years," Bunny told the wind.
Wind nodded and smiled, "I wish I could help you," she turned back into a whirlwind and blew though out the room before leaving the room.
"Nightlight, that was the boy who carried staff with the trapped moonbeam attached to it, right?" Mother Nature asked.
North nodded, "I'll go ask Katherine after deliver Christmas gift and see if she knows anything about him."
ROTG
Aurelia asked Bunny if she could stay in the warren again, "Come on."
Once there Bunny got them something to eat, "I'm not sure what you like to eat but I hope this is enough."
"I'm not picky," Aurelia told him taking the salad and fruit bowl.
They ate in silence until Bunny looked at her and had to ask, "What kind of name is Aurelia."
She smiled a little and looked at the Bunny, "Its Celtic it means gold."
"It a pretty name it matches your eyes. They remind of perfectly aged gold."
Aurelia looked away from with her cheeks slightly pink and a lot fluster, "Um thank you."
Bunny noticed it and got worried, "Aurelia, did I say something wrong?"
"Before I was spirit I was married to a creep and I was never complemented. I'm not use to it," she reviled to him.
Bunny looked at her with green eyes and sighed, "I'm sorry to hear about that," Bunny turned into his human form and sat down next to her.
She looked at him and leaned on him, "One day he knocked me out and carried me into the woods and left me for dead. When I came to I saw Mother Nature and she gave me a chose to return to the harvest or return to my home. I took her hand and never looked back."
"Aurelia what was your name if I can ask," Bunny nuzzling the top of her head.
Aurelia felt something that she hasn't felt in a long time, "Roison."
"That's a pretty name," he pulled back and looked at her.
"Bunny can I…" even in his human form he smelled that her hormones spiked, and he saw that her eyes were dilated.
"Aster," he leaned closer wanting to close the distance but gave her enough room to back away if she wanted to.
Aurelia's hand gently touched his face and touched her lips to his.
Bunny kissed her back nibbling on her bottom lip causing her to open her mouth so he could deepen the kiss. He noticed she smelled and tasted like pumpkins. She pulled him closer tasting wild honey he pulled back and looked at her, "Aurelia, I…"
"Don't say you're sorry, and just hold me tonight and we can talk in the morning."
