Aunt Chapter 1

For as long as anyone has really known him Fathers power stems from his blazing hatred for children and anything that has to do with them. The only kids he does show any signs of affection and love for are his own Delightful Children. With the exception of those five any child that crosses his path will feel his wrath.

Whenever people first meet Aunt they assume that her power rises from the exact same place his does. But unbeknownst to them they would be wrong.

Aunt's power does originate from hatred. Only it doesn't involve anything towards children. As a matter of fact she loves children. She always has. No, Aunt's power comes from the massive disdain and disapproval she has towards her brothers' horrible preferences at kids. Not that she'd ever admit that to him or have her brother discover this by accident. It would practically push him off the deep end.

Not that he isn't already there anyhow.

So far nothing has really pushed her over the edge yet.

That is until now.

One day when Aunt had returned home from the store after getting some groceries to restock their kitchen, she found a very unusual and unwelcome surprise in the front parlor.

There sitting on an armchair in front of the fireplace is Pappy, but without his malevolent power.

What immediately alarms Aunt is that Pappy is supposed to be in a nursing home. Plus neither of them would have anything to do with the old man in passing.

What the hell is he doing here?

Completely forgetting the grocery's now Aunt barges through the mansion searching for her brother. She eventually locates him in his study and announces her presence by blowing the door off its hinges.

"Benedict," shouted Aunt, using his actual name in what seems like forever, furiously stomping into the room and slamming her hands on his desk. "Why would you bring him here? You hate Pappy!"

All Benedict's life he's strived to surmount to Pappy's expectations. Even after Pappy lost his empire he continued to never see Benedict as good enough in his eyes.

Calmly standing his ground in face of her rage, leaning back in his chair, locking his fingers together, Father said "Surely you know me better than that by now, Lena. I still despise the man, but he's here for a purpose. A very specific one."

Father's actions aren't in his favor. He's always shared his plans with her. This is the first time he hasn't. This alone raises significant red flags.

Eyes narrowed in skepticism, showing a lot of restraint and self-control, Aunt demanded "What are you planning this time?"

Shrugging, Father said "Simple really. The Kids Next Door are becoming more of a nuisance towards us adults than they've ever been. They're interfering with numerous schemes with more and more success than they ever have. So I've organized all the Villains. Each of us has something to contribute to the table and together we shall finally overcome the Kids Next Door!"

"A brilliant plan. Nor would I ever expect anything less from you, but I don't understand what this has to do with Pappy," said Aunt, getting worried about what he's implying.

Her concerns are about to be justified.

"In all our history only one has ever really truly overcome children's influence on the world and that is Pappy. I intend to fully revive Pappy to his former glory and with his help the Kids Next Door will finally fall to ruin," stated Father, maliciously.

"Excuse me," said Aunt, not believing she heard him right.

"You heard me," said Father, not wanting to repeat himself.

A pause as this fully registers to Aunt.

"You are officially out of your mind," shrieked Aunt, blue flames erupting around her. "You remember how it was last time. You do this and there's no way Pappy will help you. He'll betray you only to take power for himself. He'll never share it with you or anyone else."

"Wrong," said Father in open denial. "After being locked away for so long I am sure Pappy will be grateful for his release. He will team up with me once I show him all we can do together."

As much as she doesn't want to admit it there's no reaching him to change his mind when he's like this.

Blue flames receding into her as she is reluctantly resigned to accepting this, Aunt said "How do you intend to bring Pappy back? Restoring his memory's is impossible."

Shaking his head, smirking darkly, Father said "Oh I disagree. There is a way for this to succeed. Right now the first stage of my ingenious plan is set in motion."

As confident as Father sounds it far from pushes aside her concerns. Aunt indeed knows that Pappy will turn on them. There's no stopping Father now. Aunt can only hope that he can be prepared when this one blows up in his face.

Authors Note:

I hope you all like this one! I certainly did while writing it for your vast enjoyment! ;D

I've been meaning to get back to this one for a while and only now I've managed to find time and inspiration for it. I'm very satisfied and happy about it.

Right now during this epidemic with the coronavirus that's impacting every nation in the entire world we really do need find whatever sources we possibly can in order to lighten our spirits. Especially those who are unfortunately stuck sick or those locked in self isolation in order to prevent both contraction and spread of the illness. For those of us who have the abilities to do this we have a duty to keep up morale and that's exactly what I wholeheartedly desire these new stories and updates concocted during this time do for you.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm very satisfied and happy about it.

I recently put up some other works I've put out at titled Secret Of Bristol Cove, Predators Redemption, Rava's Journey, Princess Of The Forest, A Revolutionary Romance, Aunt, Fantine Tezla: Hot Wheels Acceleracers, Green Lantern Odette Dupree: First Flight, Magic And the Brave Little Toaster 1, Lavinia: Princess Of Edelweiss, Rorschach's Legend, Watchmen Meets Avengers: The Newest Defender, The 8th Loser, Naomi Poldark: Mistress Of Nampara, Serenity: End Guardian To The Moors, Dido Cruger: Power Rangers SPD, The True Catwoman Of Gotham, Green Lantern Odette Dupree: First Flight, and Nuala: The White Lioness. If you're a fan of the Golden Compass and Watchmen which are the new series on HBO then you will love these. Then if you haven't saw them yet then I recommend that you check it out. Since there are still just recently uploaded I really would enjoy hearing other peoples thoughts on the subject matter so far. So feel free to do so if you have the time.

I have other grand news! I was a patron at New York Comic Con 2019! Ah! I'd been dying to go for years and now I had the opportunity. The Jokers from Impractical Jokers have been here along with Tom Hiddleston and so many others. Over those few days I actually got my picture taken with a couple of other actors/actresses and some really great panels. It really is so exciting there. This is an opportunity of a lifetime so there's no way in hell that I was going to waste a single second of it. No one ever should with something like this. Ever! ;D

For future preferences I highly recommend that you all keep an eye out for when tickets for New York Comic Con are available for purchase again for next year. This is a huge event and you should jump on it whenever you have the chance. Unfortunately this year it appears like Comic Con might be skipped not just in New York, but also in all it's regular places during the course of scheduled events. I think we all know the reason for it is plain as day.

The coronavirus.

Can't exactly blame with how dreadful things are getting in escalation and the fact that places like the Javits Center in New York have been temporarily converted into makeshift hospitals in order to deal with the overflow of people contracting infections from this rapidly spreading virus that might as well be called a plague at this point. Let's keep fingers crossed that an aim is to have this pass us before then so things can get back on track. If it is then New York Comic Con might be exactly what people need in order to lighten their spirits after all this darkness. Stay safe everyone and long to eventually see you there.
