Lost in unfamiliar worlds

Authors Note: Hey guys as you can see, I've changed the title as I wasn't happy with the one we were using and was planning on changing it anyway. Also, I noticed that a few of you thought that the first-person perspective felt a bit off last time and I would like to apologize for that. I haven't gotten used to writing again, having taken quite a long break I'm embarrassed to admit I may still be a bit rusty. Which is why I've decided to write this chapter using third person perspective instead. After reading this chapter you guys can let me know which style you think works better for the story or where my skills as a writer shine through. With that said, I think I've talked enough, lets get on with the story…

Chapter 2 Betrayal

Newtopia has fallen. The castle has fallen. The survivors were all lead to Toad Tower where they were promised two things, protection and justice. However, they would soon find that promise hard to keep as they were surprised to find themselves locked out of the Tower. Grime stood outside the long looming Tower as multiple guards leered down at him from above. The Toad soldiers blocking the way stood defensively in front of the drawbridge, which remained the only way into Toad Tower. Atop of the stone walkway above, multiple Archers kept there aim locked on Grime and the others, each with the intent to kill.

Next to Grime his first Lieutenant and Loyal friend Sasha Waybright narrowed her brows in annoyance as she tightened her grip around the hilt of her sword. Behind the two rouge warriors, General Yunnan an honorable knight currently fighting in the services of Lady Olivia and the one to lead the rescue teams in the fall of Newtopia, noticed the danger around them and braced herself for a fight. Hopefully that could be avoided, with the dozen's of innocent of Newtopian citizens they had brought with them, if battle were to break out there was no way there wouldn't be casualties.

Grime was outraged by the shocking behavior shown by his own men, the very weapons he'd trained them to use now turned against him. "What is the meaning of this? Who is foolish enough to lock me out of my own tower?" Grime yelled, in a fit of rage.

"Its not your tower anymore Grime" a deep voice came from up high and when Grime looked hard enough he could see the silhouette of a figure lurking in the shadows.

"Show yourself coward!"

The archers made room as from inside the tower a large brown toad appeared above the draw bridge holding a wooden club in his hands. "Its mine" The toad said, with a wide grin.

"Bog! You traitorous Swine! What do you think your doing?" Grime asked, though he had little patience to listen to anything he had to say.

"Heh, me a traitor? The only traitor I see here is you!" Bog snapped back between gritted teeth. "And what I'm doing is fixing your mistakes"

"What nonsense are you prattling on about Bog?" Grime asked, growing more frustrated with every second the conversation drew on.

"When you marched over into Newtopia you said you would overthrow the king and make it a place for us toads to live in. Instead, I see you here disgraced and defeated and even worse, you bring with you an enemy of the toads! Not in chains or rags but as far as I can tell a guest!"

"After the destruction of Newtopia I agreed to host the refuges here at Toad Tower pre Lady Olivias request but that dose not make us friends. She is but a pawn needed to fight the true enemy, King Andrias himself, if we are to stand a chance against him, we will need all the help we can get" Grime explained, his gaze shifting to each of the various toads blocking there way. For a moment they seemed conflicted, perhaps that would be enough for them to move aside, but one look at there leader and the toad soldiers snapped back into position.

There was a cold dark look in the brown toads eyes, blood boiling he glared down at Grime "Help? Help!" Bog muttered, then leaped of the walkway landing almost directly in front of Grime. "Have you fallen so far that you've forgotten what we toads truly stand for? We don't take help from anybody, neither do we offer it, if there's something we want then we take it, no matter who stands in the way, that is what it means to be a toad!" Bog proclaimed, swinging his club at Grime who remained motionless as he held it inches away from the older toads face.

For a moment no one said a word, Sasha concerned for her friend broke her gaze away from Bog and looked over at Grime. His body was shaking, seeing this Sasha reached out a hand to comfort the old toad but just before she could reach him the unexpected occurred. Grime rocked his head back, waving his arms up into the air he let out a terrifying laugh, he sounded like the villian in a superhero movie. "HAHAHAHAHAHA! What idiotic ideals! I wouldn't expect anything less form you Bog, you've always been so simple minded!" Grime laughed, as he wiped tears out of his eye.

"Why you! How dare you!" Bog yelled.

"I mean really if that's what you think it means to be a Toad then I truly have failed you as a captain. To be a toad isn't to take what you can just because you can. No! To be a toad is to aim for something higher than yourself, to seek for an unreachable power. To look into to the impossible and go I'll show you what's possible. Fighting to improve oneself that is what it means to be a toad" Grime finished his speech, everyone was now looking at him in awe, even some of the Newts were taken back by his words. The only one who wasn't a fan was of course Captain Bog, who just stood there glaring at Grime, completely aware off the effect his words were having on his soldiers.

"What a load of shit! I was hoping you'd be willing to own up to your failure but I see now your nothing but an old man caught up in his own delusions. Toads don't aim for things greater than themselves Grime, they take from those who are weaker than them and become stronger because of it. THAT is what a toad is! THAT is what you taught me to be!"

"You taught this guy?" Sasha asked, in a hushed whisper.

"I'm the captain of Toad Tower remember, I taught most of the toads here"

"Enough! If you won't surrender then you leave me know choice. Men, capture the former captain and lieutenant, you can kill the rest" Bog gave the order then drew his sword as he charged towards Grime, followed by countless other Toads.

"Everyone char-" He paused, Grime was ready to fight, he carved it but as Sasha pulled him back to reality, he was remained of the company he had with him. Countless off unarmed women and children, stood there terrified cowering behind the Newt soldiers that had survived Newtopia. Doubtless if he lead them into this battle now there would be countless of innocent lives lost. Despite his past crimes, Grime didn't want to add anymore deaths to the ever growing list, not if he could help it. "Sigh, Retreat! Everyone retreat!" Grime yelled, the crowd of innocents dispersed as in a panic they ran back across the bridge, the one way in and out of Toad Tower.

"Grime you coward. Do not let a single one of them escape! Kill them all!"

"We need to work together to hold them all off" Grime said, looking up at General Yunnan who was bracing herself for the incoming soldiers.

"Me work along side a toad, I suppose there really is no other choice. Lady Olivia you fall back for now"

"If you expect me to run and hide, I will not. I will fight as well, just give me a sword"

"My Lady please we don't have time" Yunnan begged her to retreat but Sasha was quick to interject.

"If you want to help then take this" Sasha shoved a small green bag into the Ladys hands, her face lit up the moment she saw it.

"This is Marcy's bag isn't it?"

Sasha flashed her a small smile as she opened the bag, Lady Olivia eyes widened in surrprise when she saw what was inside. "Run to the end of the bridge and wait for my signal, I know your know what to do when it's time" Sasha instructed, then covered the bag back up.

Lady Olivia nodded then wiped her eyes as she had started to get emotional once she had come to the realization "So Marcy saves the day again, even though she's no longer here she still finds away to help people. What a wonderfully, silly girl"

"Yeah" Sasha replied, then turned away joining the other two at the front line "Now go!"

"Archers ready! Fire!" Bog ordered.

The arrows flew through the air, slaying many of the poor Newtopian citizens, quickly the royal guards pulled out their shields and worked together to protect the innocents form the swam of arrows, but now they were pinned down and unable to retreat further. "Those archers are a problem, the citizens won't be able to escape if there pined down like that and we can't be expected to hold the front line forever!" General Yunnan said, her fist smashing into a red toads face, the impact knocking him into a approaching group of toads. Using her tail as a whip she tripped up a toad who had attempted to stab her in the back, before he could recover, she slammed her boot down onto his head. The fighting never seemed to end, with every toad she took down five more took its place. Genral Yunnan was running low on energy but knew she couldn't afford to let a single one pass, the lives of many innocent people were depending on her.

She fought on, her fist stained red, she pushed back the enemy with unwavering determination "Is that all you got! I've seen babies that hit harder than you!" General Yunnan yelled. Angered by her mocking a dozen blood thirsty toads charged towards her, she was exhausted but the rush of the battle kept her going. The first move was hers, wrapping her tail around the closest toad and yanking him away she broke his nose with her elbow and left him a bloody mess on the floor. Barely a half a breath taken as blades clashed against her claws, stuck in a deadlock she could only grin as the claws shot out of place and into each of the toads necks. "Like that, a little modification made be a fallen friend, I'll let her know you approve when we're reunited" There was no time to relax as an arrow landed just next to her, with no place to run or hide she run towards the archers aiming at her. The four toads aim began to lessen as she somehow managed to doge almost all of the arrows. Once she was close enough, she picked up a fallen toads sword and threw it into the first archer, stunned by this bloody display, the archers barely had time to respond as General Yunnan picked them up by there fat throat using her tail to lift the third one. "Ple-please we were just following orders" one of the toads begged.

"So am I" With barely no effort, General Yunnan granted them a quick death then dropped there bodies to the floor "But I would never kill civilians." She looked to her arm, an arrow was poking out of her shoulder. She grabbed it and bit down on her lip as she yanked it out, it hurt and she had long past her limit but as she looked to the Tower the enemey was approaching. Toads, each of them given the same order to kill the civilians she had sworn to protect. "Tch, kill 10 and they come back with 20. Whatever I'll take on as many of you as you got! For I am General Yunnan Honor Scourge of the sand wars, Defeater of Raganar and the Wretched, and the youngest newt to ever achieve the rank of general in the great Newtopian Army! And I shall not fall today to a bunch of messily Toads!" She charged towards the enemy, with the intent on taking them all on herself but as an arrow passed throw her knee she collapsed to the floor and found it impossible to carry on. "No! I will fight!" She yelled, her wounds weren't fatal but the more she pushed herself the less chance she had of coming out of this alive, she was covered in bruises and scratches, blood stained her body impossible to tell which was her own and which wasn't. Her instincts screamed at her to flee, that she had done all she could and be proud that she was able to do this much but her pride as a warrior was much louder as one word kept pushing her forward. "Fight! Fight damn you!" Slamming her fist against the ground she urged her legs to move, slowly forcing herself to her knees. The first enemy approached he grinned wildly as he saw the easy prey before him, he brought his sword down towards her neck only to find himself letting out an unearthly scream. The toads looked on at horror at what they had witnessed, the near dead Newt General had pulled out the arrow in her knee and plunged it into the Toads eye. They quivered in fear as slowly she rose from the ground, pulling the arrow out of the screaming Toads eye and then stabbing him in the neck "You can shoot me, stab me and hell you can light me on fire but while I still draw breath I will fight!" The General yelled, picking up the Toads sword.

Two toads lost there heads before Five Toads got the jump on her, they tackled her to the ground, each pining down a different limb, while out of the corner of her eye she could see a massive red toad dragging a bloody axe. "Get of me you slimy gnats! I won't let myself go out like this, not to a bunch of worthless Toads!" Her struggle was in vain as there strength seemed unwavering while hers was fading.

Then as the giant red monstrous Toad raised the axe above Yunnan, she suddenly felt the grip around her arms loosen, not wasting a beat she swung her body up and grabbed both the Toads holding her legs down and bashed there heads together. There was no time to rest however as suddenly the axe the red Toad was wielding came crashing down. However, Yunnan did not meet her end there, neither did the axe crash into the ground instead she was surprised to see Grime standing in front of her blocking the attack. He held the weapon of myth, Barrens Warhammer and blocked the mighty axe with its long handle as he did, he glanced back at General Yunnan.

"I'm impressed your still alive, I thought you were all talk but it seems the great General Yunnan has some bite to go with all that bark" Grime mocked with a smirk as he relished in her shocked expression. He then noticed all the wounds covering her, the blood, the cuts, and that fierce determination, he knew she was in pain yet she still continued the fight he respected that. "You've done your part General, now let me show you what a real warrior can do" Grime turned his attention back to the toad and swung his Warhammer back, leaving the red toad unbalanced. He glared at Grime and raised his Axe as he charged him, Grime didn't hesitate to replicate the action but as he raised Barrens Warhammer flames shot out of the top giving him the boost he needed. Before the toad could tell what was happening, Grime couldn't stop himself from laughing as he launched himself into the air and swung Barrens Warhammer down onto the red toads head, knocking him out cold. "I thought someone so big would be tougher to take down"

"You have my thanks Grime. Now what about those archers" Yunnan said, as she forced herself to stand.

"It's being handled"

"It is?"

When the battle started Sasha watched as General Yunnan charged recklessly into battle, Grime was about two seconds away from joining her but before that she needed a favor. He knew this tower better then anybody, if there was any other way in he would know about it, and while we may not be able to sneak an entire city worth of people inside, the possibility Bog noticing one person while a battle was taking place right in front off him were slim.

Sasha looked around the tower, she was somewhere on the second floor, where all the toads slept and more importantly a floor above where Bog currently was. It felt weird to be wondering these halls again, for the past six months this place had been her home and now this Bog asshole was trying to take that away from her. She felt a surge of anger boiling inside of her as she felt the urge to hit something anything, she settled on the wall and blood tinkled down from her fists. "I won't let anyone take anything away from me again"

Bog watched the battle below, the refuges were pinned down, forced to take shelter under the royal guards shields. The few that were stupid enough to flee were cut down immediately. Relentlessly he sent swam of solders to slay them all but the Newt warrior out there was like a one-woman army. Still, it was only a matter of time, she couldn't protect them forever, she would fall and they would die and then the human and Grime will be his to do with us he see's fit.

But that wasn't enough! Bog smashed his club against the tower wall in a fit of rage, it smashed to pices but the toad solider immediately retrieved a replacement. Every time he looked to Grime and the newt he saw the same thing an unwavering sense of determination. It wasn't enough for Bog to just win he wanted Grim to admit his loss but with everything the way it was now, even if he won this battle, he knew Grim would not give up "Why do you continue to fight? Your men betrayed you, your allies are being slaughtered. You know you have know hope of winning this battle so why? Why haven't you given up?" Bog spoke out loud, growing frustrated.

"Because Grime doesn't know how to give up" That voice didn't belong to any toad Bog recognized and even more worrying he realized it had come from above. He looked up and saw Sasha standing on the window above him. "Fi-Fire! Kill her!" he ordered as he moved to the back of the walkway.

They fired their arrows but as Sasha quickly threw a bundle of blinking blue balls then pulled back her sleeve to reveal a cross bow attached to her arm. Bog winced when she took aim at him but then quickly pulled away firing at the bridge, an arrow with a rope attached to it fired above the toads heads and just as the toads aimed to cut it an explosion below them shook the ground. "Boom Shromes! Run!" The archers began to panic as barrage of explosions tore down the drawbridge, Sasha secured the other end of the rope and rode it like a zip line to the bridge. However, she got caught up in the explosion and was sent of course into the jagged spike pit below. "Ahhhhhh!" she could only scream as she fumbled to think of a way to escape.

"I have you" Grime said, catching her arm just in time. He kept a tight grip on the bridge as he slowly pulled Sasha up where General Yunnan helped the two of them to safety. "Good work Lieutenant"

"That… That was to close" Sasha said, struggling to catch her breath.

"With the archers out of the way everyone seems to be making for a swift retreat we should follow" Yunnan advised, lending Sasha a shoulder to lean on as she seemed to winded to walk on her own.

"Your not going anywhere!" Bog threatened, as he moved in front of the three of them. The brown Toad glared at them; blood escaped from his wound but he didn't let it bother him. In his left hand he held a wooden club in his right a crossbow. Bog glared at Sasha aiming the crossbow at her "Your goanna pay for what you did"

Suddenly Bog stumbled back as the crossbow flew through the air landing nearby, Grime stood in front of Sasha wielding Barrens Warhammer. "General, take Sasha and go, I'll deal with this one"

"Grime no, I can fight I-" Sasha paused, the room suddenly spinning.

"You've both done enough already, this is my fight" Grime said, with an excited smile.

Sasha couldn't respond, she couldn't think clearly, instead General Yunnan slowly lead her away from the two toads.

"You really have changed Grime" Bog spat.

"So have you, you went from being pathetic to worthless"

Bog was the first to attack, swinging his club towards Grime, he didn't brother dodging, instead caught it in his hands. "You really think you can beat me with this toy!" Grime laughed as he crushed the club in his hands shocking Bog. "Your nothing but a child who needs to be shown some discipline" Grime yelled, punching Bog in the face. The brown Toad stumbled back but Grime wasn't done as he swung his fist again and then again and again until Bog was down on his knees begging for mercy. "I give up! Please Captain I give!"

Grime paused as memories from long ago rushed back to Grime; a moment of reflection lost Grime the advantage as Bog rushed the old Toad tackling him to the floor. "You had your fun!" Bog yelled, punching him in the face. "You pillaged and you plundered and you killed anyone that dared stand against the mighty Grime" His hits grew faster as blood started to stain bogs fists. "But look at you now! Your nothing but a weak old man!" he yelled, again he pulled back to punch the toad but this time Grime caught his fist. Bog attacked with his other hand but Grim grabbed his wrist squeezing hard enough to make bog wince. He then pulled Bog close and bashed his nose into his head causing bog to fall back in pain.

Bog held his broken nose in his hands as a water fall of blood fell to his lips "I'll admit I may be moving on in years, and yes, perhaps I have grown a little bit off a conscience" Grime stood back up and glared at Bog with a wicked Grin "But I am not weak"

Bog snarled at Grime, then looked over at Barrens Warhammer "You, why don't you use your weapon?"

"Ha! I would never let your blood stain something that great" Grime mocked, with joyful laughter.

"You bastard! You always looked down on me! You always thought you were better than me, even when you were teaching me you were always quick to remind me how weak I am compared to you!" Bog cried

"That's because I am better than you" Grime said, with a wicked smile.

Bog gritted his teeth he couldn't let him win, not after all this, but it was true Grime was stronger than him, he couldn't beat him, not like this anyway. Then he saw it, over in the distance, the last chance he had, if he could make it there past Grime he could win.

The dizzy spell had sided, now she couldn't stop worrying, she knew Grime was a capable strong warrior who could handle his own but even so… Ever sense she'd lost Marcy the whole world seemed like it'd gotten a lot darker. Grime was the only friend she had left in this cruel world, if she lost him she wasn't sure what she would do. "Put me down"

"Sorry?"

"I can walk. Put me down"

The General paused in her tracks letting the human down "I have to go back, I need to check on Grime" Sasha said.

"We need to assure the saftey of the citizens. Grime is a capable fighter I assure you he will be fine" General Yunnan said, in an attempt to reassure Sasha.

"No. You need to protect your citizens, I need to help my friend" she snapped back, then ran back the way they came.

"Hey!" she called after her but was ignored.

Hopefully she was worrying over nothing, by now Grime would have made quick work out of Bog… Marcy, for whatever reason that dreadful night was replaying in her head like a movie on loop. It happened so suddenly, one moment she was fighting Andrias, buying time for Anne and the Plantars. The next, the flaming sword cut through her friend, she could only stand there in shock unable to do anything but watch. Her friend died and she did nothing to prevent it, her friend died and it's all her fault. She picked up speed and when she got there…

Grime stood over Bog as the fight drew to an end, the brown toad was on his knees, his right eye swollen and his face covered in blood. "I know your stronger than me, and that I don't stand a chance at beating you but there's one thing I have that you don't Grime" Bog said.

"Hmph, what's that?"

"A crossbow!" Bog yelled, with a crazed smile, he pulled out the weapon he had been hiding and fired. At that close a range there was no way he could miss; Grime hadn't seen the attack coming and had no chance of evading. The arrow hit, he coughed up blood as he fell onto his back, blood seeping from his wound. "I-I did it…Ha! I killed him! I killed you, you old fart! Now who's stronger!" Bog laughed, as he kicked Grime repeatedly, relishing in his victory.

The air grew warmer as the warm glow of the moon was over shadowed by an eerier red light, Bog noticed the change and looked back, where he almost stumbled over himself at the sight of her. Sasha stood there her brown eyes ignited with a fiery passion for violence, her rugged blonde hair usual tied back into a pony tail was now glowing a dark crimson as it swung around her wildly. Furious flames followed the outline of her body as she glared at the toad, "Get away from him!" her voice was cold and inhuman. She drew her sword which was now a ridiculous size and glowed a radiant red.

"Solders! Attack!"

A wave of over 50 Toads charged at her, she noticed them and swung her blade killing them all with just one swift motion. Bog noticed this and attempted to run away, only to have the creature appear right before him. "What? What are you?" Bog asked. They raised there sword up to attack and Bog quickly took aim, but she sliced his arm of leaving a bloody stump in its place. "Ahhhh… Please don't"

"Kill. Kill! I'll Kill everyone!"

Bog stood their tears gathering in his eyes as the monster before him was seconds away from ending his life. "Lieutenant!" The familiar voice caused the monster to pause it's attack, the blade inches away from Bogs throat.

"Gri-em?" The monster drew its weapon and shook its head wildly "Grie-m" the flames were slowly fading as it wondered around in a confused trance.

"Snap out of it Lieutenant! That's an order!"

Finally the flames vanished and in it's place Sasha raced to Grimes side "Grime! Your okay" She said, pulling the Toad into a hug.

"Ow! I will live at the very least, but I will remind you that I have been shot, so I will thank you to ease up on the rough treatment" Grime moaned.

"Oh right, sorry" she said, then slowly helped him to his feet. "Where did Bog go?"

"That coward probably ran away the first chance he got" Grime replied.

"Sasha, Grime what happened" General Yunnan asked, looking around at all the dead toads.

"What are you doing here?" Sasha asked, her tone cold as she walked past.

"Everyone has been evacuated, you two are the only ones left, I came to get you"

"Why we're not Newtopians" Sasha snapped.

"Yes, but you are not our enemies either and it would not sit right with me if I just left you here to die"

"Then lets go, I have a arrow in my stomach and I really want it out" Grime said. .

General Yunnan had to act as a body guard against the remaining toads as Sasha carried Grime across the bridge. Once they were almost across the bridge Sasha signaled Lady Olivia, she then detonated the Boom Shrooms she had planted ahead of time. Sasha lifted Grime up and held him in both her arms, forcing her self to endure his weight she ran as fast as she could and made a jump for it. They almost didn't make it but General Yunnan who had already made it across caught them and pulled them across. With the bridge out the toads were no longer able to pursue… For now.

A short while later they set up camp in the woods nearby, Grime, General Yunnan and Sasha were taken to be treated. Thankfully none of there wounds proved to be fatal but they were each advised to get plenty of rest and to take it easy. Now, Sasha decided to keep watch outside as everyone else slept silently in the make shift tents the newts had made out of sticks and leafs. She sat alone outside on a tree stamp, a small fire giving of plenty of light, resting on her leg was her sword that she was currently cleaning the blood off.

She had little memory of that event, neither did Grime tell her what had happened. All she could recall is watching Grime get shot, thinking he was dead and then wanting to kill… Everybody. After that everything is a blank, no matter how hard she tried to remember the only thing she can recall is Grime calling out to her.

"The fires going to go out if you don't feed it"

Sasha brought her had up from the ground and looked across at Yunnan sitting on a log roasting fish on a stick. Sasha threw a couple of logs into the flames and the area around them seemed to brighten. "You should be resting, the doctor seemed particularly concerned with you"

"Sleep is for the weak and I'm not that! Besides, I'm fine, it would take far more than a few toads to take me down" General Yunnan said. The fact she could joke about this made Sasha relax a little as she let out a small laugh.

"Really, Grime told me he had to save your ass" she teased, with a small smile.

"That toad has a big mouth" Yunnan grunted but then her expression turned soft as she let out a small breath "But a bigger heart it would seem"

"Yeah" Sasha agreed, she couldn't stop herself from feeling guilty. If she had stayed and fought with him he would have never been injured in the first place.

"I know you don't want to talk about it, but whatever happened back there, there's no denying the facts, 50 Toad solders were killed in mere seconds and you were the only one there, yet you don't have a cut or bruise on you" she said, narrowing her eyes. The General held her stare then took a bite of the fish making Sasha grimace in disgust. "What? You don't like fish?"

"I don't know what happened" Sasha said. Yunnan looked at her, scanning her to try and find any signs of defeat, then took another bite of her snack. "But I do know that Grime is alive, I managed to save him somehow. I didn't fail this time not unlike Marcy" Sasha whispered, as tears gathered in her eyes

Sasha looked to her knee where Yunnan placed a comforting hand, Yunnan looked at Sasha with tears in her eyes and for a moment the blonde girl was utterly confused. "She was my friend to y'know, improved these fancy claws for me. I was there as well, I fought against Andria's right along side you and I failed just like you. So, you have no reason to carry the blame for her death on your shoulders… neither of us do" Sasha hesitated but placed her own hand on top of the Generals each of them sharing in there grief "Thank you"

The night went on and Sasha and Yunnan found themselves bounding over Marcy talking about the times they spent together and the times they had to bail her out of many ridiculous situations. Meanwhile back at Toad Tower Bog was readying himself for an incredibly painful procedure.

He was strapped to an operating table, multiple straps tightened around his bloody stump of an arm, the toads dressed in white looked at each other with concern. "Are you sure about this, we could just clean up the wound and"

"No! He was reckless enough to leave it behind, and now it will be mine!" Bog yelled.

The toads were still uncertain but had little choice but to obey, the operation commenced and the toads worked together to open up the stump as wide as they can "Sir this is very dangerous, you could die"

"I said do it!"

The toads swallowed their nerves and shoved a long metal poll up inside the stump ignoring Bogs inhuman screams as they were ordered to. Muscle fibers tore and bone was pushed aside but eventually the poll reached it's limit, they held it in place as four more toads entered the room carrying a blubbering pot of scolding hot metal. "This is insane" one of them muttered, "It's to late to back out now" another whispered. They then poured the metal onto the stump sealing it in place. Bog screamed in agonizing pain, he leaped forward but the straps kept him bound to the table as his entire body jumped about in pain. Eventually it became to much for the toad to handle and he pass out from the pain.

Once he awoke, he heard the whispers of multiple toads around him "He's still alive, bu, that thing is never coming out" he looked around, he was strapped to a table and toads dressed in white were talking about him. "Why would he do this to himself? For what possible reason"

"For power" he grunted, the two toads jumped then looked back at him.

"Sir your awake, let me" the toad moved to remove the restraints but Bog pulled them of himself. He then jumped of the bed leaving small cracks in the floor. "I wouldn't recommend straining yourself sir, you've been out a while"

"I want to see"

"Excuse me?"

Bog snapped as he grabbed the toad by the neck and lifted him of the floor effortlessly "Bring me a mirror" he ordered, releasing the toad.

The fearful toads did as they were ordered and rolled in a life size mirror where Bog could see the results. For the most part, he still looked himself, His stump however was now completely sliver and attached to it was Barrens Warhammer. He turned round and smashed the hammer into the table shattering it into a dozen pieces, a wicked smile stretched across his face as he reconized the power he had attained. "HAHAHA! Grime, Sasha, I can't wait to see you both again. HAHAHA!"

Authors Note: Fun fact; this chapter and the next one were orginaly planed to be one big chapter but as I started writing this I realized the fight scene at toad Tower was getting to be pretty long and was taking up most of the chapter so I decided to bring that out on it's own. That way I didn't have to rush to get the rest done and you guys didn't have to wait even longer. Speaking of waiting, I meant to tell you this last time but my update schedule for this story is going to be one chapter a month because I only get the weekends to write. If I have more time I may be able squeeze out another chapter but it'll probably be one a month most times. Hope this is okay and I hope you enjoyed this chapter.

I really hope I did Grime Justice, judging by the season 3 trailer I don't think Amphibia is going this way but this story takes place in a different time line. Anyway, I'm rambling, thank you for reading and thanks again everyone for following, faviorting and of course reviewing the story.
