Lucy POV
"Lucy, I hate to interrupt, but…" Randy says, stepping into the room and his words die mid sentence; his eyes becoming wide, "you look absolutely stunning, Lucy. Beautiful," he tells me and circles me to get a complete look at me. I grin with a blush as he stops me to face him, but despite my heels, I still have to look up to see him.
"Thank you, Randy," I smile shyly up at him.
"You're very welcome," he returns my grin, "you do know Drew won't be able to take his eyes off of you, right? Nor is he going to let you leave his side," Randy tells me and I nod my head with a small playful eye roll because I know he is right.
"Oh, you don't need to tell me; I already know," I retort good-naturedly.
"Shall we then?" Randy asks, holding his arm out for me to grab.
"We shall," I reply, hooking my arm around his as we leave my bed chambers for the last time. After tonight, Drew and I share a room.
Randy leads me down the hall and into the chapel where everyone awaits us. But no one matters to me, except for the man waiting for me at the end of the aisle.
"Ready?" Randy whispers to me and I look up at him with a nod of my head. Randy nods his head at me before turning his attention to a man holding a set of bagpipes, who I'm assuming will be alerting everyone that it is time.
Hearing everyone stand, Randy guides me to the aisle and the view of my future husband. The moment Drew's eyes land on me, they widen astronomically and a smile I've never seen on him, graces his handsome face.
I return his smile full force as I make my way closer to him. We haven't taken our eyes off each other since making eye contact with one another. I can hear whispers on either side of us but I don't hear anything because my focus is on Drew. The closer we get, the quicker my heartbeat becomes, until I finally stand face to face with him.
For the first time since my eyes landed on Drew's, I break the contact and turn my attention to Randy. "Thank you," I whisper, smiling up at him to which he returns.
"You're welcome, sweetheart," he whispers back, pressing a kiss to my cheek before handing me off to Drew.
Drew POV
Lucy turns towards me after speaking to Randy and for the first time since breaking the news to her that us getting married was going to happen sooner rather than later, I don't think I've seen her more happy than she is in this moment.
"Hi beautiful," I whisper with a smile.
"Hi yourself, handsome," she replies just as quietly and it takes everything in me not to pull her in and kiss her right now.
"You look absolutely stunning. It's going to be hard having to control myself tonight until I can get you alone," I tease Lucy truthfully and her eyes widen at my admission.
She lightly shakes her head at me with a smirk, "if you can behave yourself tonight, maybe we can retire early," Lucy retorts quietly and I hear no hesitancy in her tone.
"If we shall begin," the priest says, breaking Lucy and I out of our little bubble we put ourselves in. We chose to bypass the mass and go straight to the ceremony. We wanted to keep it short and sweet because at the end of the day, we will still be legally married and that's all we want.
Lucy and I tune out the priest as he quotes a few prayers and sayings before he is forced to grab our attention again. We both look at him sheepishly as he provides us with a shake of the head, but with the look on his face, it's clear he wasn't angry.
"My King, if you would like to say your vows, now is the time to do so," he addresses me and I nod my head with a smile before retuning my attention back onto Lucy.
I take both of Lucy's small hands in my own and look straight into her eyes, "Lucy, I know we've only known each other for a month, but I've never been more happy in my entire lifetime than I have been with you this past month. The moment I laid eyes on you, I knew you were the one. I knew it was going to take time to gain your trust, but in the end, I knew it would be worth it. You've brought happiness and joy back into my life when I thought it was gone and lost forever. I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you, baby. I love you, Lucy," I recite and I look for her reaction to my last words and I see nothing but happiness shining through her eyes.
"My Lady, if you would like to say your vows, now is the time to do so," the priest addresses Lucy and she nods her head with a smile before turning her full attention to me.
Lucy removes her hands from my grasp and takes mine in hers. She takes a deep breath before beginning, "Drew, the moment I laid eyes on you, not only was I terrified because of the sheer size of you, but I thought that you were absolutely gorgeous," she starts and I smile at the blush that dusts her face at her admission, "I never thought that I would be able to trust again, but you proved me wrong. You not only showed me kindness, but you showed me what patience, tenderness and love really is. You saved me, Drew and I will forever be thankful and in your debt. I, too, can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you. I love you, Drew, so much," Lucy recites to me and my smile threatens to split my face in two at her words.
"Do we have the rings?" The priest asks and Randy quickly stands up and hands the rings over to him. "Alright Drew, take this ring and repeat after me," I am directed. I take Lucy's ring in hand and place it at the tip of her third finger.
"I, Andrew McLean McIntyre, take thee to be my wedded wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better or worse, for richer for poorer, for fairer or fouler, in sickness, and in health, to love and to cherish, till death we depart, according to God's holy ordinance; and thereunto I plight thee my troth," I recite and slide the ring onto Lucy's tiny finger.
Lucy beams up at me and I can't help but return it. The priest then addresses her, "Lucy, take this ring and repeat after me," he directs her. Lucy takes the ring and places it at the tip of my third finger.
"I, Lucia Marie Johnson, take thee to be my wedded husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better or worse, for richer for poorer, for fairer or fouler, in sickness, and in health, to love and to cherish, till death we depart, according to God's holy ordinance; and thereunto I plight thee my troth," Lucy recites and slides the ring onto my finger.
The grin on my face, impossible to be rid of as I look down into Lucy's gorgeous brown eyes. I can't help but mouth out 'I love you' to her and her already wide smile broadens and she mouths it back.
Closing the ceremony, the priest recites to us, "Groom and Bride, as the two of you have joined this marriage uniting as husband and wife, stand as you this day affirm your faith and love for one another, I would ask that you always remember to cherish each other as special and unique individuals, that you respect the thoughts, ideas and suggestions of one another. Be able to forgive, do not hold grudges, and live each day that you may share it together – as from this day forward you shall be each others home, comfort and refuge, your marriage strengthened by your love and respect.
"By the power invested in me and the beautiful country of Scotland that we call home, I now pronounce you, husband and wife. My King, you may now kiss your bride," he announces.
Grinning down at Lucy, I pull her in by the waist and press my lips to hers in a loving kiss. Before we can even break apart, the cheers and whistles are deafening to our ears. We pull apart, leaving just a small amount of space in between our faces.
"I'll love you forever, My Queen," I say to Lucy quietly so only she can hear me and I've never seen her more happy.
"And I'll love you forever, My King," she says back just as quietly and I can't help but pull her back in for one more kiss before we part.
I hold my arm out for her and she grasps my bicep just before we walk down the aisle as husband and wife. King and Queen of Scotland. The thought develops a large smile on my face. My cheeks and face will definitely be hurting by the end of the night.
Lucy POV
I can't wipe the smile off of my face to save my life. A month ago before ever meeting Drew, I never thought I'd find my happily ever after, let alone be married. And not just married to anyone, but to the King of Scotland.
The moment we leave the chapel and are out of sight, Drew pulls me down an empty and out of eye sight corridor. He gently pushes me up against the stone wall, leaving minimal to no space in between our bodies.
Drew presses a hard kiss to me as he cages me in by placing a hand against the wall on either side of my head. Breaking the kiss, Drew rests his forehead on mine as he catches his breath. "I want you so bad right now, Lucy, it hurts," he groans out in a whisper.
I wrap my dainty arms around the back of his neck, keeping him close, "I know, my love. I want you, too; but we have to wait. Just a few more hours and we'll have all night," I whisper back, pressing a kiss to his soft lips as I stroke his beard.
Drew groans in protest, pressing his body against mine, allowing me to feel every inch of him, "do we have to?"
I release a quiet moan and rest my hands on his pecs through his shirt and tartan kilt, "yes, we have to," I reply in slight amusement, a smile in my tone.
Drew opens his eyes to glare down at me, but the look in them are anything but hostile. "You're enjoying my pain, aren't you?" He pouts and I reach up to run my thumb across his protruding lower lip. Drew manages to slip my thumb into his mouth and he lightly sucks on it, flicking his tongue against the tip, pulling a gasp from my lips. The action causes heat to pool deep in my belly and it's taking everything in me to not act on what we both want.
"I'm not," I breathe, "but neither will you, if you keep this up because I know this is effecting you as much as it is me," I tell him, never taking my eyes off his.
I can see the lust swimming through them as Drew takes my hand in his and removes my thumb from his mouth, but instead of releasing it, he presses a kiss to every one of my fingers. He keeps his main focus on my third finger and the ring that sits there.
Such a simple action has me pulling my hand from Drew's grasp, so I can wrap both of mine at the back of his neck and pull him in for a heated kiss, that he returns more than willingly. I feel Drew's hands slowly skim down my body until he takes a firm hold of my rear, pushing me against his growing problem.
I moan into Drew's mouth at feeling how hard he is, but I know there is nothing I can do about it. Drew releases my mouth and continues his assault down my neck, "you are such a little tease, My Queen. I can't wait to have you later, you're going to be begging me to let you come," he groans against my neck and I whimper at his words; Drew's name falls from my lips in a whisper as I hold his head in place.
Foot steps can be heard coming down the hall, our names being called, but neither Drew nor I are aware of them until it's too late. "Oh my god, two you. Why am I not surprised to find you guys in this position," Randy complains, exasperation in his tone as he stomps down the dimly lit hall.
Upon hearing Randy's voice, I remove Drew's mouth from my neck and a low growl can be heard emanating from him; from being interrupted at ravishing his Queen. I catch my breath, never taking my eyes off of Drew as he slowly turns his head in the direction of his best friend.
"I'm going to pretend you didn't just growl at me. Everyone is waiting for you two and here you are, going at it like teenagers in the open when it's something that should be done behind closed doors. You're lucky it was me who found you," Randy scolds, looking back and forth between the two of us.
"He's right, baby," I whisper in Drew's ear, "don't get mad at him for our foolishness. He was just protecting us," but it seems like my plea is falling on deaf ears when Drew doesn't acknowledge that he's heard me.
Reaching my hand up, I turn Drew's attention off of Randy and onto me. His gorgeous blue eyes go from the hostility that was directed at Randy moments ago, back to the love that's been shining through them for me since day one. "Drew, baby. We have all night to be alone. All night. As King and Queen, it's our duty to entertain our guests; even if it's for only a little while," I tell him quietly, stroking his cheeks as I frame his face; understanding develops in his eyes and he nods his head.
Drew presses a soft kiss to me before stepping back, allowing me space to fix my dress. "We'll be right there," Drew addresses Randy, not taking his eyes off of me.
When I see from my peripheral that Randy still hasn't moved from his spot, I look over at him and nod my head once, telling him without words that we'll be there in a moment. Randy stares at me for a few seconds before nodding back and disappears around the corner.
Looking back up at Drew, he lifts his hand up and tucks a lock of hair behind my ear. "Why is it, that he listens to you and not me?" Drew asks me, cradling my jaw.
"Randy has a different relationship with me than he does with you. Like you and I have an understanding of our own; he and I have one as well. He may be my best friend," I begin and I see a shift in Drew's eyes at my admission, "but you are my husband and My King. You come before anyone or anything, baby. Please believe that, Drew," I tell him, gripping his face in my small hands. "I love you. Above everything else and I always will. Except for maybe when we have little ones," I grin and he returns it, "they'll be right up there with you, but you'll always have my heart, Drew," I reassure him and step on my toes, pressing a hard kiss to him that he returns without hesitation.
"I love you, Lucy," Drew replies quietly to me after we break our kiss. I smile up at him and press one last soft kiss to his lips.
"Now let's go. The quicker we get out there, the quicker we get to be alone," I tell Drew and his eyes widen at my admission and he grabs my hand, hastily making his way to where the celebrations will be held. I laugh at his exuberance as I try to keep up with his long strides.
