At Deacon and Annie's !

Barbecue, non-alcoholic beers in case the team had to be called in an emergency – everyone prayed that it wouldn't happen – accompanied by the laughter of the children Kay who trudged in the garden, Hondo who had come with Darryl, Tan and Bonnie, Luca, Commander Hicks, were gathered at their hosts' to celebrate Chris and Street's engagement. Bonnie and Victor's son was staying with his grandmother Fey, Tan's mother, who loved taking care of her grandson.

Dressed in jeans and a red shirt left open over a black t-shirt, Street approached Deacon, who was busy grilling the steaks for the burgers.

"Hey, Deac, can I talk to you for a minute ?"

"Yes, of course !" Deacon replied. "You look nervous. What is happening ?"

"Here uh, we went with three best man and bridesmaides each with Chris and, I have to choose between you and Hondo but…"

"Stop !" Deacon stopped him, his voice still calm, collected and above all, reassuring. He put the spatula on the dish next to the grill, and turned to the young man. "I'm amazed that it took you three days to come and tell me about it, or that you still haven't asked Hondo. He is the one who must be your best man, alongside Luca and Tan, and that will change absolutely nothing between the two of us. We're a family, whether I'm your best man or not, and we both know that without Hondo, you wouldn't be at S.W.A.T."

Street knew that very well.

"But you were there for me when I broke up with Molly." he said to him.

"We were all there for you, because that's what family members do." Deacon said. "We support each other. All I ask of you is to take care of Chris. I was there, when she left Ty and Kira, she came to my house, and she was devastated, but what she felt for them, for her, was nothing compared to what's between you two, and I really don't want to see you mess this up. She loves you, as much as you love her, and I wouldn't miss your union for the world. Best man or not."

"If Chris had a fourth bridesmaid I…"

"I know !" Deacon cut him off. "And it would have been an honor, but that won't stop me from giving a speech at the reception and putting you to shame."

The young man, relieved, laughs. Deacon motioned for him to come closer, and they hugged.

"You're a real mate, Deacon. Thank you !" Street told him.

"I'll kill you if you hurt her." Deacon warned him amicably, stepping aside.

"She will have killed me first." scoffed Street.

"Ah, you picked a real badass." Deacon conceded.

"And she is truly evil." confessed Street.

"I do believe you." laughed Deacon. "You should go talk to Hondo. "

"Yeah !" he says. "Um, can I still ask you to make sure Luca doesn't mess with my bachelor party ? I don't want any strippers."

"Count on me !" Deacon assured.

"Ah and, we're going to sit down tonight with Chris, and make a list of what we need to start doing, but not being a practitioner either, you would know a reverend who would agree to marry us ?" Street asked. "It will not be in the church but outside."

"Yeah, when you set the date and find the place, you tell me and I take care of it."

...

The only three women at the party isolated themselves in the kitchen.

"Have you started making a list of what you want for the wedding ?" Annie asked.

"Not yet." replied Chris. "I'm waiting for Street to finally decide to ask Hondo to be his best man."

"He still hasn't ?" Bonnie wondered.

"He's worried about hurting Deacon." confessed the bride-to-be.

"It's silly, David won't get offended for that." Annie said. "And we know all the links between Jim and Hondo."

"If I had a fourth bridesmaid, we wouldn't have this discussion." Chris said.

"Don't you have a cousin you could suggest it to ?" Bonnie asked.

"Not after she tried to hit on Jimmy behind my back." Chris told them.

"No, tell me !" Bonnie pressed her.

Flashback !

One year earlier !

They had been invited, like every Sunday, to have lunch with Chris' aunt and uncle with the family. Street had gone to the bathroom when he bumped into Chris's cousin on the way out. She was the same age as Chris, more feminine, and Street didn't like the way she looked at him.

"Lucia !" he said simply.

He tried to walk around her to join the rest of the family in the garden, but Lucia blocked his way. Okay, so he hadn't dreamed of the stealthy glances she gave him.

"Be very careful what you are going to do." he warned her.

"You know Chris likes girls ?" she asked.

"Yeah, I know that, and I don't care." he replied. "Now let me through."

"And she will always be attracted to girls." Lucia continued.

"Okay, I see what you're trying to do, and let me tell you, it won't work." he said to her. "I'm not going to leave Chris or cheat on her so let me through."

"I'm sure I'm better than her in bed." Lucia said, snuggling closer to Street.

"Don't make me use force with you." he replied.

"You wouldn't dare." she said, sure of herself.

She put a hand on Street's chest, but before he could react, Chris rushed out and grabbed her cousin's wrist before slamming her against the wall.

"Hey, are you crazy ?" cried Lucia. "Let go of me !"

"I just saw you touch my man, and I especially heard your inappropriate advances." Chris spat. "Just because you're my cousin doesn't stop me from kicking your ass. Jim is mine, you understand ?"

"It's okay, I just wanted to make sure he was legit." she lied.

Chris let go of her.

"I'm a cop, remember, and I know when I'm being lied to, and you're lying." she snapped.

"He didn't push me away." Lucy said.

"He was being polite, nothing more, but don't think he's interested in you." Chris said.

"Not even in dreams !" Street breathed.

Lucia heard him, and glared at him.

"Would you rather be with a tomboy who also likes women ?"

"Yes, and I find it sexy that she is attracted to women." confessed Street. "We compare our preferences."

Chris lured Street into the bathroom, closed the door, pushed the lock, and slammed him against the door…

End of flashback !

"Okay, we got it." Bonnie stopped her. "I don't really need to hear about your sexual exploits when we and Victor haven't done anything since Adam was born."

"It's been five months." Annie told him.

"And we don't really have time for ourselves." Bonnie said. "Whatever, I could ask my mother-in-law to keep Adam a little longer. She loves taking care of him."

"You that !" said Annie, before asking Chris : "Are you going to invite your cousin to the wedding ?"

"Yeah, because she's still my family, and my aunt will keep an eye on her." she says. "Although I hope she breaks her leg the day before the ceremony."

"Vicious !" Bonnie chuckled.

They eventually emerged from the kitchen with two large salad bowls, with potato salad in one and pasta in the other.

...

After speaking with Deacon, the future groom went to see Hondo, who was chatting with Commander Hicks.

"Hey, can I talk to you ?"

They apologized to Hicks, who joined Deacon by the grill.

"I'm listening to you !" Hondo said. "No doubt about marriage, at least ?"

"No chance." Street said. "I would like you to be my best man, along with Tan and Luca. I know it took me a while to ask you this, but I was afraid that Deacon would take it the wrong way, when it's quite the opposite and I'm paranoid."

Honda smiled.

"Here uh, it would be an honor if you agreed to be by my side when I marry Chris."

"Of course I accept." The two men hugged each other. "And let me reassure you right now, I wouldn't have taken it the wrong way if you had chosen Deacon."

"Everyone kept telling me the same thing." Street breathed, throwing his head back. "I can finally breathe."

"Wait until you have to choose the colors of the tablecloths and the bouquets of flowers, and discuss the menu before you really breathe." interjected Hicks, who had moved closer. "Your ordeal has only just begun."

"You don't really reassure me." Street said.

"Just say yes to whatever Chris offers." Tan advised him.

He looked up to the sky. His friends were crazy. Street had every intention of helping to plan the wedding. No question of Chris doing everything alone. Plus, he was sure the bridesmaids would want to get involved. Luca put a heavy hand on Street's shoulder and said :

"I'm going to throw you the best bachelor party ever."

"No stripper." Street warned him. "Chris would kill you, and I don't want to."

"Dancing girls, or she's gutting Luca ?" Tan joked.

"Don't worry buddy, there won't be a stripper." Luca assured him, as Deacon called everyone to the table.

The laughter continued throughout the meal, and when the children were put indoors in front of the TV after dessert, the adults relaxed even more.

"Do you know when you want to get married ?" Hondo asked. "We have to set a date."

"We have to find a place first. We are not going to get married in church but outdoors." Street said. "And we would like the reception venue to be right next door."

They had briefly discussed it with Chris, without really taking the time to put everything in writing.

"And we would like it to be this summer." Chris said. "Fingers crossed."

"I still have the list of all the places we visited with Victor, when we were looking for a room for the reception." Bonnie said. "I can send it to you, if you want ? There must be an address or two with gorgeous gardens."

"Yeah, that would be great." Chris said. "Thank you !"

"And if you need a helping hand, don't hesitate." Annie told them.

"Don't forget Street, say yes to everything." Tan teased him.

Bonnie slapped him on the arm.

...

In the evening, after playing video games with Luca, Street went to his room and slipped in next to Chris, who was surfing on her phone while taking notes.

"Is that the list of places Bonnie sent you ?" he asked.

"Yeah !" Chris replied, leaning against him as he put an arm around her. "I know most of these places, but there are very few with enough space for an outdoor ceremony."

"How about we make the guest list first ?" he offered.

"I have already started." She passed him the notebook to the page where she had written several names. "I don't have that much knowledge outside of S.W.A.T."

"Neither do I." he said to her. "And you know, a small wedding will be fine with me then, it doesn't matter if it's just the people on the list. All I want is to marry you."

"You're not taking Tan's advice to the letter, I hope ?" she says. "That of saying yes to everything."

"I intend to invest myself in the organization with you." He cupped her chin between his fingers and kissed her. "You know what ? I'm going to plan our honeymoon, and choose the destination myself. And I would choose the song for our first dance."

"Okay, I'll leave it to you."

She snuggled up against his chest, and continued to write in the notebook. On a page, she therefore noted the choice of each for their respective best men and bridesmaides. Luca, Tan and Hondo for him. Annie, Bonnie and Erica for her.

"Tell Luca I don't want any strippers at your bachelor party." she told him.

"He has already been warned." he reassured him. "I would ask you the same thing, but I know Annie and that's not her type."

"As soon as we have found the place for the ceremony and the reception, we will have to find a reverend who will be willing to marry us outside the church." she continued.

"I already talked about this with Deacon, and he's going to take care of it." he told her.

"Great !" She wrote Reverend = see with Deacon in the notebook. "The menu ? We won't be more than twenty, counting Deac and Annie's children, so..."

"How about a Mexican buffet ?" he offered. "Your aunt knows the best caterers in town, although she might want to volunteer to take care of our menu and that's out of the question, because I want her to enjoy the reception."

"Yes, but she will want to have her hand in the running of the kitchen and I couldn't do anything to stop her." Chris said. "I will find a solution so that it coordinates without having to cook. 100% Mexican, are you sure ?"

"And adapted food for Deac and Annie's children." he added.

She noted. For an hour, they talked about the different subjects. The flavor of the cake, the table plan, the outfits, etc.

"With work, I would never have time to take care of everything." Chris sighed. "And I don't want to ask too much of Annie."

"Please, she would be able to organize everything for us in less than three months." Street told him. He took the notebook and the pen from her, which he put on the bedside table before turning to kiss her. "Let's stop talking about the wedding for tonight. I will relax you."

"Oh yes ?" she shrugged, cracking a smile. "How are you going to do it ?"

Sliding a hand into his boyshorts, he brushed her soaked lips before inserting his middle finger between her folds.

"How do you get so wet when we've only been talking about marriage ?" he whispered in her ear.

"I... I'm all... all the time li... like this..." she said between gasps. "For… for you."

She moaned, wetting her lips with her tongue and, her eyes closed, she gripped the blanket when he inserted a finger inside her. Chris couldn't help but roll her hips to meet his finger penetration. A small shriek escaped him as he added a second finger.

"Tell me what you want, Chris."

She turned her head towards him, and pulled him in for a voluptuous kiss.

"I want your mouth." she replied.

So he withdrew his fingers, pushed back the blanket and took her shorts off Chris. Then, he backed off the bed and pulled Chris by her legs to lay her on her back, and there he slid his tongue down her wet slit. He licked her clitoris, sucked it between his lips, dripping her sugary nectar that made her lose her mind. Chris was so lost in the whirlwind of pleasure that she didn't hear the sound of a wrap being torn open. Her orgasm was approaching, but Street's mouth lost her femininity. She protested, opened her eyes and found her fiancé's lustful ones, who was undressing. There, she saw her sex covered with the latex of the condom. He returned to the bed, gave a final lick on her mouth full of honey before getting up and entering a full thrust. He covered her cry with his mouth. His tongue battled with hers as his thrusts intensified. Chris cums for the first time. Reversing their places to find themselves on top, she straightened up and removed her t-shirt, revealing her chest. She straddled her fiancé, hands flat on his chest as he held her hips firmly, rocking his in time.

The week passed very quickly, and the couple spent it alternating between their work schedules and looking for the perfect place for the ceremony. Chris hadn't had a crush. Until they visit a private garden, large enough to establish the ceremony there. Not to mention the room which was large enough for the reception. Street slipped behind Chris's back and hugged her.

"It's the good place. I am wrong ?"

"Yeah, I love it." she said, turning in his arms.

"Corn ?"

She smiles. The place was perfect. She was already imagining what she wanted.

"But, can we really afford to rent this place ?"

"Don't worry about the money, honey. We can afford it." he said, before telling her a little secret. "I'm going to work part-time in Deacon's security company. One of the team members has left and there is a vacancy. Deac offered me the spot after talking to the club boss, and I just have to sign the contract. I wanted to tell you about it first."

"I don't want you to exhaust yourself just to…" she replied, but he cut her off with a kiss. "… the wedding."

"I'll accept for us, Chris. So that you have the wedding you want, so that we can have an unforgettable honeymoon, so that we can find the apartment where we will have our family." he said to her. "I want us to have the best life possible, and if for that I have to have another part-time job, I would not hesitate." He stole a kiss from her. "I'll be fine, darling. I promise you."

"OK !"

They found the owner of the place, and asked to see the available dates within six months, before booking the place.

A month later, the invitations were made, and hand-delivered to the guests.
