Cole wandered into the quiet halls of Beacon Hills high early in the morning. It was a little chilly outside, and she found it fairly difficult to drag herself out of bed at this ungodly hour. She adjusted her nearly empty bag on her shoulder as her sneakers padded against the tile in the direction of the girls locker room.

As she got closer, she could hear a familiar voice somewhere around the corner.

"I looked everywhere. It's like he just walked away. Left his car, his dog."

Cole became very curious. She started making her way towards the voice, which was clearly Scott, finding him and someone huddled close in front of an open locker. She immediately recognised Stiles with the next statement.

"Okay. Was he, like... could he have been a virgin maybe? Did he look like a virgin? Was he, you know, virginal?"

Cole almost snickered, but contained herself as she moved towards them ever so quietly, her grey Eagles shirt helping her blend with the lockers as she tiptoed past.

"No, definitely not. Deaton makes me have sex with all of his clients. It's a new policy."

Though Stiles' sigh showed he didn't find Scott's joke funny, Cole almost had to cover her mouth this time. Scott continued seriously.

"No, I don't know if he was a virgin. And why are you talking like he's already dead? He's just missing."

Cole was nearly behind them now, listening to everything. Scott was too focused on his spazzing friend who obscured his view as well as the locker, and Stiles' back was to her.

"Missing and presumed dead because he's probably a virgin, Scott. And you know who else is a virgin? Me. I'm a virgin, okay? And you know what that means? It means that my lack of sexual experience is now literally a threat to my life. Okay, I need to have s*x, like, right now. Someone needs to have s*x with me, like, today. Like, someone needs to s*x me right now!"

BANG

Cole slammed the locker shut, causing both boys to jump, Stiles even screeched a little. She looked at him with a devious grin.

"Well, if you're that desperate…" She trailed off. Stiles just stared at her blankly.

"What?"

She held his stare for a few moments longer, with her unchanging expression, before continuing.

"I like to cuddle."

Stiles' expression dropped and was replaced with one of irritation, as Cole began to laugh.

"Oh. Okay, you know, you don't toy with a guy's emotions like that, you dick. It's not attractive, all right?" He grumbled at her, as he punched Scott in the shoulder for laughing with her.

"Not that you would know." She offered in response, as she tried to contain herself. "If you're done with the virgin pity party, we should probably head to practice. Good to know I'm safe from this next round of sacrifices."

"I'll remind you all, cross-country is not optional for lacrosse players."

Coach announced loudly as Cole came to a stop next to Isaac. The whole lacrosse team which she had recently joined, stood scattered around them listening to Finstock, along with the few other cross country club runners. A few of the guys were still pulling their shirts on.

"I don't need you turning into a bunch of fat-asses in the off-season. So work on that."

Coach happened to look over at Isaac as he finished, causing him to huff. There was a collective smirk on the teams faces.

The whistle blew, and they all took off through the gym out the doors.

It was fairly nice out, the warm sun beating down on them, breaking through the icy fall breeze. They followed the path along the edge of the field, towards the forest, their feet crunching the frosted grass as they caught some shade.

Far in front of the group, Cole ran alongside Isaac and Scott. The sound of everyone's feet hitting pavement grew quiet as they moved from hard asphalt to moist dirt and leaves on the forest floor.

Isaac began to pull ahead of her suddenly, as they got into the forest. Cole was confused until she caught sight of what he had, and Scott had too.

"Isaac!" Scott shouted, coming to a stop, all of them skidding in the dry dirt and leaves.

"It's them." Isaac growled lowly from ahead of them, whipping around to show his eyes flashing. Scott took a small step towards him with arms out.

"Isaac, DON'T do this." Scott flashed his eyes back. It was too late though, his words fell on deaf ears. Isaac turned and left them in a cloud of dust.

Cole was the first to react. She knew from the look in his eyes he had stopped listening to them. Scott was close in toe, as they both dashed through the foliage after the young beta.

The chase was short, leading them a mile or so down in the woods. They already had Isaac between them, on his knees, making some stupid joke about bones in the human body, not that Isaac was human anyways. Isaac's eyes were rage filled, but there was fear peeking from behind the glowing light.

Cole wasted no time trying to slow down. They were slightly lower, so she let her speed carry her as she jumped. She lifted her leg, rotating her body and her foot connected with the jaw of the rightmost twin. She could feel the bones snap out of place under her foot, as he went spiralling. Cole rolled, pulling herself back on guard.

"Thats one." Scott said in response to their stupid joke with a new level of confidence. Cole just flashed her fangs, and bright eyes with a snarl, inviting them to continue. Ethan snarled back, while Aiden cracked his jaw into place, still on a knee. They didn't have the chance.

A scream cut through the air, sending a shiver down Cole's spine. The twins took off in the opposite direction. Cole looked after them for a moment, before another screech turned her head away.

They all followed silently towards the echoing screams, which seemed to dissolve into cries, back towards the rest of the team. They came to a skidding stop behind Coach, and Stiles who were already waiting. What was in front of him made their faces fall. They walked further to the other side of the tree.

"I already called my dad." Stiles said, looking around at the gathering crowd.

"Is that him?" Isaac asked, unable to pull his eyes away. Cole looked at Scott.

"You know him?" She questioned, pointing at the mutilated body strapped to the tree.

"He came to the clinic, but he left without his car or dog. We knew he was missing."

Cole nodded, now understanding what she heard before.

"That might have been useful information before now." She replied, looking more at Stiles than anything. He looked at her with indignation.

"Why are you looking at ME? I'm the boring normal human! And maybe if you didnt fuck with us we would have remembered!"

"You two are the closest thing to a leader Derek's scraggle of teen wolves has. It would only help you to work with me." She shot back. Stiles groaned in annoyance.

"We've been just fine before you came around ok? We've fought some tough battles, remember the Kanima? WE did that!"

She cut him off.

"After Derek weaseled my sister into making Peter help him figure out what you had to do and exactly how to do it." She stated plainly, rolling her eyes. "Think what you want. We'll deal with this with or without your help."

Cole turned back to the body, walking towards it.

"Like we wanna work with Peter anyways." Stiles muttered when he felt she was far enough.

The boy's eyes widened as she got a few feet away, looking closely. As she bent down to examine lower, Coach came storming over.

"Hey, HEY! HALE! WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING!"

He yelled looking at her with confusion and a little disgust. She looked up at him, with a calm expression.

"Examining the scene."

He just stared at her. For a long time. Then he looked at Scott, who shrugged.

"You're… examining… the scene?"

She nodded at him. He looked at Scott again.

"Get her the hell out of here before she contaminates something!" He yelled wildly. "What is wrong with her?"

Cole rolled her eyes once more, rising back to stand, but not before pulling at the collar of the blood soaked shirt, peeling it from the torn flesh with the tips of her nails. She wanted a good look.

"YOU'RE TOUCHING A BODY! STOP! SOMEBODY STOP HER!"

She moved back towards Scott and the others, scowling towards the Coach. She could hear the pounding steps of who she assumed was the authorities. They all started to clear off back towards the school.

"You just got yourself detention, Hale! And maybe a meeting with guidance. You're lucky you're a star at lacrosse!" Coach yelled after her.

Cole turned back as she was walking. She rolled her eyes, throwing her hands up dramatically, before spinning back around.

Hope you enjoyed loves. Let me know whats on your mind :) have a good day 3
