Cole was laying still where she'd fallen, dazed after Kali delivered her swift kick, sending her into the nearest wall. She was huffing against the cool tile to catch her breath when she heard footsteps pounding from where they'd come. She didn't have a chance to look before she felt hands under her arms, lifting her to her feet. Her entire left side groaned in protest as she winced to avoid hissing in pain.

Cole had never been so glad to see Peter in her life.

He briefly gave her an apologetic look, but once she was steady, his face was stern.

"Get Stiles with Cora to the ambulance. Take Scott and Leila."

She stared up at him for a moment, eyes wide. She was unsure if she'd heard him right. The Bitch was loose somewhere, Duecalion was still hanging around, and he was going to trust the four of them to make it out of there alone?

Peter let his eyes flash, just for a second. Long enough to convey how dead serious he was. He gave her a push towards Stiles, before moving past her to the fight.

His entrance gave Cole her moment to grab Scott and Leila, neither of them putting up a fight. Everyone was exhausted. The hybrid faltered when seeing Peter make his slow approach, clearly he'd made an impression in their first face off. Cole hoped that meant they'd make quick work of them again, and follow.

"Nice of you to join the party." Mara breathed sarcastically, seeing her partener walk up from behind her. The relief in her eyes deceived her true feelings.

Kali was still rising further down the hall where Mara had so unceremoniously thrown her, returning the spin kick used on Cole. The teens used the opportunity to bolt for the stairs.

When the door clicked shut behind them, Peter let his eyes flash red once more, deep crimson flooding his body with warmth.

His eyes fell on his nephew for a moment. Derek's jaw hung in surprise, betrayal flaring in his eyes. Peter shot him his ever cocky grin.

"We can discuss it after I save your ass."

"Get those doors open." Cole commanded, adjusting her cousin over her shoulder. She'd taken her from Stiles at the top of the stairs. It was much faster for her to run with the dead weight.

Scott and Stiles pulled open the back of the ambulance, and Cole stepped up inside. She lay Cora down as gently as she could, flinching when her arm came down from Cole's shoulder, onto the stretcher with a thud. She tried to straighten her cousin's limbs into a comfortable position.

"Cole!" Leila hissed from around the front.

Cole spared Cora one last glance before heading for her little sister.

She could smell the blood before she reached Leila.

"For fuck sakes."

The paramedic sat in the driver's seat, laid back. His throat was slashed open, bleeding all down his limp torso. Upon closer inspection no keys were apparent.

"FUCK!" Cole cursed once more, looking around at the ground surrounding them in desperation. She should have taken Mara's keys. They wouldn't get far running and they would leave a massive trail. There weren't any close safe houses. Derek's would take them 40 minutes running. The house would be an hour. Maybe they could figure out how to hotwire?

The boys had made their way over now. Cole looked to Leila, who seemed surprisingly calm as she cocked her ear in the air.

Cole did the same, hearing what her sister did. A car. Someone was approaching fast. Her eyes focused back on her sister.

Leila waggled her phone at Cole with a cunning grin.

"Good thing I had a plan B."

A black SUV came around the corner, massive tires squealing as it came to a halting stop Behind the ambulance. Cole was surprised to see Chris Argent at the wheel, staring back at her with a classically unreadable expression. She jumped when the back door opened towards them. Isaac looked out at them, leaned over from the passenger side.

"All right, come on. Come on!"

He urged them when they didn't react immediately. Cole started for the back of the ambulance once more, Leila right behind her. She lifted Cora again, like a baby. Cole only wished she weighed as much, feeling her left ribs throb once more.

She made the small jump off the step on the back of the ambulance with a wince, motioning for Leila to go first. Leila hopped into the very back of the SUV, behind Isaac. Cole could now see Allison staring back at them from the passenger side.

Cole tore her eyes from the hunter's in the front. She tried to pass Cora as carefully as possible, but she wasn't willing to waste much more time.

"Stiles, let's go!" Isaac yelled to the boys behind her. Boy, she realised. When she turned, Scott was nowhere to be seen. Stiles was looking at the ambulance door reading something. Cole recognised that wide eyed look.

"Stiles…" She warned. He didn't let her finish.

"Scott! Scott, wait!"

He took off back into the hospital. Cole stared after him for a moment before making a decision. Leila was safe now, as funny as that seemed being in an Argents car. Mara and Peter still hadn't shown up, and who knew what the boys would get themselves into. Especially breakable Stiles. She looked at her sister.

"You get Cora somewhere safe."

Her sister's eyes narrowed at the firm command. The insinuation Cole wouldn't be coming was obvious. Leila clearly wasn't happy with it, but when her eyes landed on Cora, the argument left her. She looked back at Cole, displeased, but gave a nod. Cole gave her a weak grin, to which her sister scowled.

Cole then turned to Allison, all traces of a smile gone, as she held the girl's steady gaze. Her sister was only fifteen after all. Allison was seventeen, like her, and one of the smarter people in Scott's little gaggle.

"Take care of them. Please.

She received a firm nod in response. Allison's unwavering gaze gave her a touch of confidence. With one last deep breath, Cole pushed away from the vehicle, heading back towards the chaos, the wheels screeching away behind her.
