A little while later Edgar was searching for Olivia when he heard hushed voices enter the locker room.

"Ellis, what are you doing? Why on Earth are you shoving me into the locker room?" Olivia had thought that he wanted to talk but the way he kept leading her to the locker room..

"Oh Olivia come on, you know I didn't really drag you in here to talk. Stop being such a tease." Ellis surprisingly strong, he pushed Olivia against the nearest wall and was about to kiss her.

"Ellis what are you doing? No! Stop it!" Olivia was confused and clearly not interested.

"Hey she said no. Leave her alone!" Edgar jumped out ready to throttle him.

"Oh good here he is. Come to rescue you from a healthy relationship with someone who actually cares about you." Ellis crossed his arms, glaring at Edgar.

"Ellis, don't!" Olivia warned.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Edgar snapped.

"I know all about you and Olivia. How you legged it when you had your chance to be with her. She deserves better."

"Oh really, like you?" Edgar wanted to squash the man under his shoe.

"Precisely!" Ellis stepped up to him while Olivia watched helplessly.

"Stop it both of you!" Olivia was furious. "I'm not some prize for you to fight over. I'm a grown woman and I can make my own decisions. Edgar calm down, nothing happened and I'm fine. And Ellis, we've been through this. I'm in love with him, and you and I are just friends."

"What did you say?" Edgar was gobsmacked.

Olivia hadn't realised what she said until it was too late. "I love you. Obviously I wanted to say it in slightly more intimate and romantic settings but here we are." She smiles shyly.

Edgar breaks into the widest smile imaginable and takes Olivia's hands in his own. That was Ellis's cue to leave them to it.

Olivia smiles up at him. "I do love you, Edgar. I'm sorry you had to find out like this."

"Don't be." Edgar captures Olivia's lips for a tender kiss. "I love you too."

Their tender kissing picks up pace until they're losing control and Edgar is the first to pull away.

"Olivia, as much as I'd love to ravish you here and now, I think a bed might be more appropriate if you want romance. Besides, you and I have to go back to work to finish." He kisses the end of her nose and links their hands, leading them to the squad room.

Just as it comes to clocking off time, Ellis enters Liv's office looking sheepish. Edgar immediately stands taller ready for battle.

"I haven't come for a fight." Ellis eyes the him warily "I just wanted to apologise for my reprehensible behaviour earlier. My ex cheated on me and I should never have tried it on with you when I know you're not available."

Olivia smiled warmly. " Let's forget about it. Yes?" she looks between the two men in front of her.

"Yes please." Ellis is grateful that Olivia wants to ignore what a fool he'd made of himself.

"OK." Edgar remains a little sulky but he'll come round. "Actually I have a rather novel idea. How about a double date on Saturday? You were heading to the cinema, right? I think I might have a friend you would like, Ellis. If you're up for it?" Olivia smirks at her own brilliance. They would get on like a house on fire.

"Alright." Ellis seems a little sceptical. "Why not? Enjoy your evening and your date tomorrow you two." He smiles a genuine smile and heads out.

"A friend, huh?" Edgar says

"Yes. We've kept in touch and she knows all about you, bent her ear something shocking really. I'm shocked she's still speaking to me " Olivia blushed thinking about the state she'd been in many times over Edgar.

"Oh." Edgar was a bit hurt that Olivia had confided in someone else about their relationship instead of talking to him.

Olivia sensed what was bothering him. "That's done now. I promise to talk to you from now on. I want this to work, I've never wanted anything more. And I know that will only happen if I try to be honest with you Casey was just there when I needed someone to talk to."

"Casey? As in your friend and former ADA Casey? You want to set Ellis up with Casey?"

Olivia smiled and cuddled up to Edgar, who placed a kiss to the top of her head. "Do you think they'll get on?" Olivia's eyes twinkled with mischief at the idea of playing matchmaker.

"Only one way to find out." Olivia winked.
