"Ugh im bored" - MoneyBags

"Everyone is telling stories but there just kinda dumb" - MoneyBags

"they're*" - Dr. ScienceMan

"And sorry; do you have anything else planned for today though?" - Dr. ScienceMan

"U should tell ur own stories! Add tons of zombies :))))" - Zombie Alien Monster of the Moon

"Thats dumb" - MoneyBags

"And yeah we're gonna go to the beach later" - MoneyBags

"But everyones being boring and old and THEYRE just sitting around laughing about when they were kids and some of the stories were cool but its been like" - MoneyBags

"Fifty years" - MoneyBags

"im bored" - MoneyBags

"What are u guys up to?" - MoneyBags

"Actually DD I was surprised aren't ur parents home? You never text when theyre around" - MoneyBags

"They informed me last minute they were unable to return this year." - Dr. ScienceMan

"Damn that sucks" - MoneyBags

"Language, but thank you, Eddy :)" - Dr. ScienceMan

"Not rly tho ;))" - MoneyBags

"Thanks, Eddy." - Dr. ScienceMan

"But what r u gonna do? R u just gonna do more work? Its the break :(((" - Zombie Alien Monster of the Moon

"Actually, I went over to Kevin's house to see if I could give him all the food I don't want to eat." - Dr. SciencMan

"Wtf sockhead" - MoneyBags

"Yeah DD you could have saved that for us :((((" - Zombie Alien Monster of the Moon

"Actually, by the time you two get back I'll have to toss half of it. Don't worry, I am tucking some away for you :))" Dr. ScienceMan

"Cookies?" - Zombie Alien Monster of the Moon

"Cookies :))" - Dr. ScienceMan

":DDDDD" - Zombie Alien Monster of the Moon

"Ur the best Double D!" - Zombie Alien Monster of the Moon

"I wasnt talking about the food u brainless idiot." - MoneyBags

"Why Kevin?" - MoneyBags

"Pray tell, who else would I go and talk to? You know we… "made up" and are friendly with one another. Don't you trust me to make the right choices?" - Dr. ScienceMan

"Yeah." - MoneyBags

"But it doesn't mean i liek it. You know how much I hate shovelchin. I get you really think you guys can be friends and like you said we are older now so im trying to just… not be aggro til Kevin does something" - MoneyBags

"But I think a part of me will always just.. Be uncomfortable til he and I work through our shit and idk when that'll ever happen" - MoneyBags

"Would you rather I didn't talk about it?" - Dr. ScienceMan

"DD deserves friends to :((" - Zombie Alien Monsters of the Moon

"Yeah I know" - MoneyBags

"If it really bothers you Eddy, you know I'll put you first. Kevin is a nice friend to me, and I've enjoyed my time with him. But you and Ed come first to me; you've been my friends since I moved here and the other kids thought I was too stuck up and arrogant." - Dr. ScienceMan

"Well tbf you were" - MoneyBags

"No offense" - MoneyBags

"It's in the past, Eddy. Besides, my point stands that you and Ed didn't care. You two are my best friends, and your comfort means more to me." - Dr. ScienceMan

"I think you should be friends w/ Kevin. I'm just kinda dumb and angry, y'know?" - MoneyBags

"Your feelings aren't dumb to me, Eddy." - Dr. ScienceMan

"Kevin bullied us a lot! We all grew up, but if you didnd't get that resolushon that Sarah and I got then your still gonna be hurt and angry!' - Zombie Alien Monster of the Moon

"Resolution? You mean like ending?" - MoneyBags

"In this case, it basically means solving a problem or dispute. Where did you learn that word, Ed?" - Dr. ScienceMan

"Sarah's Therapist!" - Zombie Alien Monster of the Moon

"We had to do some group therapy with her when she was seeing the doc for her anger issues" - Zombie Alien Monster of the Moon

"Sarah talked about how much she hurt me and my friends espeshally when she was angry and the doc and our parents made us sit down and talk through it! It was weird becuz she started crying and saying sorry" - Zombie Alien Monster of the Moon

"I didnt think it really bothered me becuz shes my baby sister and i love her! But i actually felt better after that and the therapist said i probably repressed my own feelings on it!" - Zombie Alien Monster of the Moon

"Huh that actually makes sense" - MoneyBags

"You do tend to hold a grudge; maybe one day you and Kevin will be able to work through it." Dr. ScienceMan

"I resent the first part of that." - MoneyBags

"And do you think he'd seriously want to? He hates me just as much y'know" - MoneyBags

"I think so. I don't think Kevin genuinely sees us like he used to; I know he doesn't really hold any animosity towards Ed or I; but you two keep fueling it yourselves, and his own friends just encourage it." - Dr. ScienceMan

"Well its not my fault his friends are shitty." - MoneyBags

"What does animosity mean?" Zombie Alien Monster of the Moon

"Animosity is just strong hostility, Ed. And that's why I said "maybe one day", Eddy. It's not your job to do all the work; if Kevin's going to let his friends encourage harmful behaviors, then that's his fault and his problem. It's not fair to abuse other people." - Dr. ScienceMan

"So if he's too big a dick, you'd stop being friends with him?" - MoneyBags

"Of course! Eddy, you don't think I'm just going to leave you and Ed behind and join Kevin, do you?" - Dr. ScienceMan

"No! It's just… sometimes you can be a bit of a push over to your friends, and I can stand you being friends with Kevin. But i don't think i could really handle you being friends with him if he still bullies me y'know? It will still feel like your choosing his side and like your tossing me away." - MoneyBags

"If I get to that point, Eddy, please tell me. I would never want to make you or Ed feel like I'm just abandoning you. You're my best friends." - Dr. ScienceMan

"Yeah yeah, this is too much emotional talk for me. We should pick it back up when we're back." - MoneyBags

"We can watch movies and eat cookies while we do!" - Zombie Alien Monster of the Moon

"Of course gentlemen." - Dr ScienceMan

"So did he say yes to the food?" - MoneyBags

"Sort of; you remember when I told you about him wanting to play video games with me? Well, he offered to come over and play and eat; and I just really want the food gone without having to eat it or waste it, so I said sure. He's coming over around noon, he said." - Dr. ScienceMan

"? Why don't u wanna eat it?" - Zombie Alien Monster of the Moon

"Ur food is the best!" - Zombie Alien Monster of the Moon

"Yeah; have you been eating well?" - MoneyBags

"I'm fine, gentlemen. I'll eat with Kevin, probably. It's just a lot of food, and if I were to try and eat it myself, I'd probably get sick." - Dr. ScienceMan

"Hmm… alright. If you say so." - MoneyBags

"Anyways if your gonna play games with him you have to beat him and you have to show me; otherwise i'm going to come down your chimney like santa clause and get coal everywhere for being a naughty friend." - MoneyBags

"I have no idea how I feel about what you just said." - Dr. ScienceMan

"Hopefully threatened." - MoneyBags

"Well, that's certainly true." - Dr. ScienecMan

"Also, speaking of making a mess" - MoneyBags

"Your not gonna flip because he's there right?" - MoneyBags

"Of course not, Eddy. He assured me he'd be clean!" - Dr. ScienceMan

"You put down those subtle clean mats I got you for Christmas last year, didnt you?" - MoneyBags

"Absolutely; the best gift you've ever given me, Eddy." - Dr. ScienceMan

"XD XD XD U guys r the best! I gotta go because were going to Grandmas now! I'll save u both some gravy!" - Zombie Alien Monster of the Moon

"Thank you for the thought, but please don't." - Dr. ScienceMan

"Give mine to Double D." - MoneyBags

"Eddy what did I do to deserve this?!" - Dr. ScienceMan

"What didn't you do. ANyways it's beach time byyyeee" - MoneyBags

"Sometimes i resent you. Have fun and stay safe :)) 3 3" - Dr. ScienceMan

"I love you guys :D :D :D" - Zombie Alien Monster of the Moon

"I love you both, too. Have a good day :)" - Dr. ScienceMan

"Yeah yeah bein' real gay in chat today. Love you guys." - MoneyBags

End Group Chat

Cursing quietly under his breath at the time, Kevin told his Uncle that he had made plans with a friend and was running late, please fill him in on the story later. It was half past noon, which probably wasn't a huge deal to the nerd- well, he hoped it wasn't. He was really punctual himself, but Eddy and Ed weren't really.

Oh well, he'd have to live with it.

Wait, what if he thought Kevin was ditching? Fuck- he hurriedly pulled a hoodie on and grabbed the two to-go mugs of tea his mother prepared.

The nice thing was they just lived across the street from each other, so it wasn't even a full minute of walking and he was already at his door, ringing the doorbell. Hopefully Double D wouldn't be too grumpy over it.

If he was, it didn't show on his face as he opened the door. Instead, Double D greeted him with a rather cheery smile, ushering him in from the cold. "Sorry to have bothered you with this, but thank you for coming over, Kevin."

Raising a brow, he took his shoes off and, seeing a few others lined neatly against the wall, decided to follow suit. He caught a glimpse of how pleased that seemed to make the dork, and he just barely hid his snort. What a weirdo… "Nah don't worry about it; eating food I didn't have to make and playing video games aren't bothering me at all."

Why would he think it was?

With that thought in mind, Kevin followed the other into the kitchen. He let out a low whistle, seeing the spread.

"Well, thank you anyways. Did you eat anything with your family- well, you can just pick what you like." He waved his hand towards the kitchen island; he had a ham out, but also some other lighter foods; breads with things to dip it in, vegetables that actually smelled heavenly. There was just enough for his whole family here; Double D seemed to read his mind because he smiled. "If you see anything your family might like, feel free to take it. Like I said, I usually cook for my parents and our guests, so it's far too much for me."

"Yeah yeah- this just, all smells good. You've been cooking awhile? Oh, also my mom made you tea." He handed him one of the to-go mugs, before excitedly turning back to food. He's glad he decided on a light brunch, having more room to eat.

"Yes; once I got old enough I was already learning to cook from my mother." That caught Kevin off-guard, but seeing the tight smile, rather than a fond, reminiscent one most children might have, he decided not to push it. "Once I was old enough that they no longer worried about my safety or if I would make a mess, they left me to my own devices. Being able to prepare your own food is a good skill to have, but I ended up cooking for them often when they'd be home from work. And they liked it enough, I suppose, that they decided I would be the one to cook many of their meals, even with other guests." He shrugged, but Kevin felt pity.

Was this going to be some weird Cinderella story, where he was really just a maid to them?

"Well, I can at least agree this is great. No one cook's better than my mom, of course. But this comes close, you know?" He offered a grin with his compliment.

Snickering, Double D nodded, sipping his tea and humming appreciatively. "This is most certainly delicious; You'll have to give your mother compliments for me!" He seemed in bliss, sipping once more. "Do you have tea as well? You never struck me as the tea type."

To be fair, no one ever did. Drinking tea wasn't really a teen jock thing, but he enjoyed it so he didn't really care. "Yeah; it tastes good and it's better for me than energy drinks or soda." Kevin shrugged, grinning a bit. "I've been drinking this my whole life. Plus my mom makes the best tea; I won't get tea from anywhere else. I'll just get coffee in that case."

"Understandable; some things are best from one source and one source only."

Kevin grinned, and upon learning he would have to eat most of his food in the kitchen ("Have some decency! If you dropped it on my carpet or couch, I'd surely just collapse and die! There are some snacks but not a full meal!) they sat and talked.

While both were initially worried about not having much to talk about and the conversation getting stale, they easily kept it from getting there- which Kevin was happy for. He didn't want to listen to himself eating. Hearing people eat, even himself, just drove him up a wall, so having Double D talk to drown that out was super nice.

They talked about school, their breaks so far, and movies. They even talked about the past- mainly surrounding Christmas and this particular break. Kevin learned, with sadness, that it wasn't long until Christmas lost its childhood charm to Double D; the last Christmas he spent with Ed and Eddy was when they were still in Junior High- their first year, even. That was five years ago.

Kevin heard of growing up too fast, but that felt criminal.

"Oh, Eddy is calling me. Do you mind if I take this?" Kevin never really took the Eds as the types to text or call often, but apparently they did.

"Go ahead; should I like, leave or something?" He asked, unsure how Eddy would feel about his presence. He didn't want to cater to his feelings or needs, but he didn't want to bother Double D if the midget got mad. "'Cause I don't mind-"

"Not at all; he knows you're here, after all."

"Really? Why?"

"...Kevin, he is my friend. We do talk about our days with each other." Double D deadpanned, and Kevin could feel a little blush of embarrassment crawl up his face at that. He didn't know why he assumed the Eds would be so… different.

Maybe it was because they were such weird people to him- clearly outcasts and content with it when they were together, but apparently they still had the same habits and behaviors as other teens.

Double D had taken his silence as permission, and answered Eddy's call.

"Greetings Ed-"

"I don't have time! I wanted to ask if you've beaten shovelchin yet?!" Eddy shouted, his loud belligerent self. "What was his loss like? Did he look ashamed?"

"...We haven't started yet, Eddy." Double D explained patiently, and Kevin took another bite of his food to keep silent. He wasn't going to start shit-

"Dammit! Well, I bet you'll absolutely destroy him!"

"We aren't going to play a versus game-"

"No way is the Double Dork going to beat me!" Kevin finally snapped, taking the phone from Double D's grasp, the other boy letting out a sigh- something that sounded suspiciously like "dear heavens"- before he started to clean. Good, he could sense that gaming was upon them. "I bet I'm going to win!"

Eddy snorted, clearly not surprised or bothered by the change of person he was talking to. "No way, rocks for brains! I'd put money on how confident I am in this!"

"Gentlemen, please-" Double D tried, to no avail.

"Fine! How much we betting?!" Kevin growled, so ready to pummel Double D in whatever game- and then they could play one of those co-op games they agreed to play during his lunch.

"Fifty, easily."

"Fifty?! Eddy, please!" Double D cried, trying to steal his phone back to stop this madness, but Kevin held it above him. They were about the same height though, so he also used his superior strength to push the nerd aside. "Kevin! Cease this at once!"

Kevin heard Eddy laughing, and he realized he wasn't actually that angry. They were both just pumped for this, and it was fun. Double D reacting this way was funny, and Kevin only felt marginally bad.

"It's a deal, dweeb. Better have my money ready when you're back from break."

"More like you better have it for me!"

Eddy then hung-up, and Kevin casually handed the phone back to Double D who had a mixture of shock and aggravation on his face- that kind where his jaw was tense and his lips were pursed, but he was smiling.

Suddenly, the redhead felt that perhaps, he had gotten in over his head.

"Well Kevin, I do believe you're done eating. Would you like to sit down and try to beat me in a game?"

Never one to back down from a challenge, Kevin grinned. This side of Double D was new to him- only briefly seen when peering in on the Eds themselves- and it was fun.

"Try? I'm definitely going to win. It's on, Double Dork."

Hello there! Yeah! Another chapter! I just had a sudden thought for it so I felt- why not?

Here we see some more interactions between the Eds- they're besties, homies if you will. I am giving them the "it's not gay to kiss the homies goodnight" type of humor and friendship. They are all just friends, loving one another platonically. Ed constantly expressing his love openly and happily has also opened Eddy and Edd, who struggle with affection and love, to at least return it to him.

Eddy is also self-aware, especially given Double D and Ed (and others) have pointed out his quick temper and pride. Eddy doesn't truly hate Kevin, he's just dealing with a lot of anger and built up feelings towards Kevin's bullying that neither Ed or Double D share; he knows this, and he does want to give Kevin another chance.

ANyways I just want to give Ed and Eddy growth too, you know? They deserve to actually develop and grow up LMAO, but it is important to keep in mind that their abuse has affected their growth, which is why they can come off as oddly immature, yet mature as well. Which is also why most their peers don't always view them as "normal" teenagers, expecting them to still be childish.

Anyways, enough rambling from me! Hope y'all doing well!
