Author's Note: I'm back. Sorry it's been a while. I've had a lot of other fanfics to work with.

Another announcement. You're all probably wondering about my plans for this story and the rest of my Marvel/Disney Channel shows crossover fics. Well, I came up with a system. I'll be doing a cycling order. such as the Owl Sanctum, the Black Panther of Amphibia, Iron Hero 7, The Ghost, the Trickster, and Molly McGee, Howard's Ducktales, Marvel Falls, and America and Star vs the Forces of Evil. Once I'm done with all that, I'll restart the system and go in the same order. So after this, I'll be moving onto the next chapter of Iron Hero 7.

Hope you enjoy this chapter. Any and all comments are welcome.

One-Eyed Wally screamed the whole night until he returned to his home in Wartwood. He yelled out his encounter with two monsters to any frog who would listen. Soon enough, they all gathered to form an angry mob. However, one certain frog got ahead of the crowd.

Sprig Plantar was a red, adventurous frog with a very energetic spirit. His grandfather, Hopediah Plantar, had told him that he was irresponsible, so he decided to prove him wrong by capturing the "monsters" that were roaming around in the forest. He sneaked out of the village and entered the woods.

Sprig hopped from one part of the forest to another. Eventually, he came across two different footprints he couldn't identify. "Seem like the beasts roam these parts. Probably a good place to… AAH!"

Sprig was caught by surprise by the rope that wrapped around his ankle and hung him upside down. He groaned after his yank stopped when suddenly, the bushes behind him began to shake. He spun his upside-down self around to see two people come on out. Those two people were Anne and T'Challa.

"Caught ya!" Anne cried out holding a wooden spear. "Thought you got the best of Anne and T'Challa, eh?"

"Anne, this doesn't look anything like the monster we're running from." T'Challa said.

"Hey, sue me! I'm tired and hungry!"

Sprig gasped observing the two humans. "Giant heads! Spindly limbs! Face bumps! THE BEEEEEAAAAASTS! I have bad news for you, beasts! I taste terrible!"

"What?" T'Challa asked. "No. We're not going to eat you."

"You tried to eat Wally."

"Wally? You mean that one frog with the accordion last night?" T'Challa asked.

"For your information, we tried asking him for help." Anne said. "He ran off screaming the second he saw us."

"That does sound like Wally." Sprig admitted.

Their conversation was interrupted by a distant roar that was getting closer. "It's coming back!" Anne panicked.

"What is?" Sprig asked. "You're not going to leave me, are you?"

"Of course not." T'Challa said. He whipped out his black claws to cut Sprigg down. "We're not monsters."

Anne grabbed Sprig and T'Challa followed them into a log. They peeked through the cracks seeing the red mantis creature pass on by through the forest. Once it was gone, the three resumed their conversation.

"You saved me." Sprig said. "You're not beasts at all. You're heroes. Ugly, ugly, ugly heroes."

"Call me ugly again, and maybe I will eat you." Anne said playfully.

Sprig laughed. "You're not gonna eat me. You got names?"

"Of course. I am T'Challa. This here is my friend, Anne Boonchuy."

"I'm Sprig Plantar."

Anne's stomach began to grumble. "Okay, Sprig. You got anything to eat?"

"Sure do." Sprig said. He removed a tree bark and revealed a whole bunch of bugs crawling on the inside.

"Things that aren't bugs?" Anne asked seemingly grossed out.

"Yeah, Anne's a bit of a picky eater." T'Challa said.

"Hey! You should be more picky than me. You're a prince for crying out loud."

"Whoa! You're a prince?" Sprig asked.

"Well, yes." T'Challa said.

"Well, in that case, let me find something more befitting to you both." Sprig said. "We'll have to hunt around a bit, though."

"No issue for me." T'Challa said.

"Hold on." Anne said. "How do I know I can trust you?"

"What?" Sprig asked putting on a cute face. "Does this look like a face that could deceive you?"

Anne laughed. "Yeah, I guess not."

Sprig gathered up a bucket full of mushrooms which he then presented to Anne and T'Challa. The prince grabbed one and took a bite.

"How is it?" Anne asked.

"A little chewy. But otherwise, not bad."

"So, first question," Sprig said, "What the heck are you and where did you come from?!"

"I'm pretty sure that's two questions." T'Challa laughed.

"Well, T'Challa and I are humans." Anne said. "And we come from another world… Either that, or this is a dream."

"Wow. Do you know how you got here?" Sprig asked.

"Well, we don't have all the details yet." T'Challa said. "It's so complicated, I don't know where to start, or if there's anything to start with at all."

"So yep, that's our story." Anne said. "How about you? What were you doing in the woods?"

"Proving that I'm responsible."

"Oh, is that so?" T'Challa asked. "How so?"

Sprig suddenly remembered the monster talk back at his village. All of a sudden, the citizens of Wartwood jumped out of nowhere surrounding them.

"THERE THEY ARE!" Wally cried out.

The angry mob drew closer to Anne and T'Challa with ropes and torches in their hands. Suddenly, T'Challa changed into his Black Panther outfit pulling out his claws to keep everyone back.

"Sprig, what is this?" T'Challa asked.

"No! This wasn't my plan!" Sprig said.

A monster roar interrupted them again. A green mantis creature popped out of the bushes and approached the frogs.

"Hurry, everyone!" yelled the mayor. "Mantis formation!"

The frogs began climbing on top of each other. Once they took the poor impression of a mantis, they stood still for a minute. But for some reason, the mantis backed up and returned into the forest. The frogs celebrated until they realized what the green mantis was really running from; the much bigger red mantis that was right behind them. It attacked the frogs panicking everyone.

"Guys!" Sprig called his new human friends. "I'll distract that thing! You get out of here!"

Sprig ran toward the red mantis and threw rocks at it. But all that did was make it angry enough to try and strike him down. Thankfully, he was saved by the Black Panther who grabbed it by its arm. While he did that, Anne grabbed the rope and tied it around the red mantis. One tightening later, and it was sent falling on its back. Once it was down, then, the frogs celebrated.

"Up top!" Anne held up her hand which Sprig hit with his tongue. "Okay, that's just gross."

"Well, now that that's settled," said the toad known as Toadstool before turning to Anne and T'Challa, "What the heck are we going to do about these two beasts? Maybe we oughta run them out of town just to be safe. Let it be someone else's problem."

"Mr. Toadstool!" said an elderly frog with a small mustache who approached the toad. "I don't remember you having the right to make a drastic decision like that."

"But it only makes sense." Toadstool said.

"After what we just witnessed, the incredible acts of courage, you still have doubts about these strange creatures? Let me remind you that you're not the mayor, Toadstool. Until the election, you're still a councilman of Wartwood."

Toadstool mumbled. "Fine. You do what you like, 'Mr. Mayor'."

The elderly frog cleared his throat and approached the two humans. "My deepest apologies. My citizens tend to get pretty untrustworthy. They're a little paranoid sometimes. Allow me to be the first to welcome you. I am Stan Leap, the mayor of Wartwood."

"Thanks, Mr. Leap." Anne said. "But to be honest, you're not the first to welcome us. It was actually Sprig here."

"Sprig, huh?" Mayor Leap asked. "Tell me, Sprig, what can you tell us about these two creatures?"

"They're not monsters, that's for sure. They're just lost and need our help. We should take care of them." That gave Anne and T'Challa smiles.

"Are you crazy?" Toadstool asked.

"Yeah. What if they go nutty tomorrow and start eating people?" Wally asked.

"Not gonna happen, buddy." Anne said.

"Don't worry yourselves silly." Hop Pop said. "I'll keep an eye on them. All three of them."

"Very well, Hopediah Plantar." Mayor Leap said. "Until further notice, these two creatures are your responsibility. All right, everyone. Let's return home before any more vengeful insect monsters try to consume us." He led his fellow frogs back to Wartwood.

Sprig frowned looking at Hop Pop. "Looks like I'm back to causing trouble for the family again, huh?"

"Trouble?" Hop Pop asked. "Sprig, speaking up for these creatures in front of an angry mob was some of the bravest and most responsible stuff I've ever seen."

"That was pretty cool, Sprig." Said Sprig's pollywog sister, Polly. "It was also really dumb."

"Yes, really, really dumb." Hop Pop agreed.

"You think I'm responsible?" Sprig asked happily.

"Well, yeah, I mean, just this one time." Hop Pop said, but his grandson didn't hear that last part.

"Big win!"

"Well, this has been quite an experience." T'Challa said. "But the fact remains that we have no idea what to do to return home."

"He's right." Anne said. "So maybe you can give us a map so we can get out of this kooky place."

"A map won't be enough, I'm afraid." Hop Pop said. "This here valley is surrounded by mountains that are impenetrable this time of year."

"It should clear up in a couple of months." Sprig said.

"But until then," Hop Pop continued, "You try to cross those mountains…"

"You will die." Polly finished.

"Are you telling me we're stuck in this crazy place for two months?" Anne asked. "Where are we going to stay?"

"Well, I do believe that Hopediah Plantar here said he'd keep an eye on us." T'Challa said. "I suppose that means we should stay at their place until we can cross the mountains."

Later that night, T'Challa and Anne had their roll-up beds brought to the Plantar house basement.

"Alrighty. Kitchen's upstairs." Hop Pop said. "Breakfast at sunrise sharp." He climbed up his ladder while Sprig met up with the humans.

"Getting comfy?" He dropped a bunch of animal plushies. "Brought some toys to keep you two company. I'm too old for these… Except for this one. Oh, and this one. Oops. This one too." He ended up taking back all his toys. "I'm glad you're living with us, monsters."

"Yeah. Me too, weird little frog boy." Anne retorted.

"Well, I think we can all agree that this has been an eventful day for everyone and it's great to finally sleep with a roof over our heads," T'Challa said, "So how's about we have our sleep?"

"Sure." Sprig said. "Good night. Sleep tight. Don't let the bed bugs bite. Seriously, they can drain a body in seconds." He climbed up the ladder leaving them alone.

Once Sprig was gone, Anne reached into her backpack and pulled out the music box. She opened it, but just like before, nothing happened.

"Still nothing?" T'Challa asked.

"No." Anne said. "And I don't want to drop this on the weird frog family until we learn at least a little more about this freaky music box. I don't want to spook them after they gave us a place to stay."

"All right then." T'Challa said. "I just hope we're not gone too long. I can't imagine what my baba and my people are thinking."

"Yeah, same thing with my parents. Not to mention Marcy and Sasha and your sister and that Erik guy. If we ended up here, maybe those four did too, just somewhere else. What do we do, T'Challa?"

"Well, according to Hopediah, we can't do anything until the mountains clear." T'Challa said. "For now, we just try to survive. I just hope the others aren't in too deep without us."
