And we are back with a new chapter! I want to thank everyone again for their support it been nice.

I own nothing but the plot and the twins

Being found out…kinda?

Reagan pov

Telling the team about her pregnancy went about as well as could be expected, everyone shouted their initial disbelief but by the end of the workday 'the gang' seemed to have accepted the situation for what it was. Which gave Reagan one less thing to worry about (especially when Myc suddenly decided that he was going to buy things from the baby registry after all), in the meantime she and Brett had settled into an efficient daily routine as they prepared for upcoming parenthood. Brett would make them breakfast in the morning, they'd go to work for eight hours (though this was only partly because Brett was refusing to allow her to work longer hours), they'd come back to her apartment where Brett would make them dinner. After dinner the two soon to be parents would sit down on her couch where she would be on her laptop coding for her new inventions and programs, and Brett would shift between reading a book on parenting, knitting, or looking up local houses for sell on his phone as her TV played on in the background. Today Brett was choosing to knit since he was insisting on making the twin's first baby blankets himself, he did this while watching his favorite show 'the Growing Years' while also throwing out name suggestions for the twins.

"What about Dean and Sean if they're both boys?" Brett asked as he continued to work on a blanket. "We could call them Deanie and Seanie! Or if one's a girl Jeanie?! Or it they're both girls Arlene and Marlene or, or we could do something different like Annabella and Isabella?! We could call them the Bellas!"

"Brett! For the last time names that rhyme are not cute!" Reagan argued without looking away from her computer screen. "Besides we are not naming the twins based off of fictional characters you watched on TV or saw in a fucking movie!"

"But almost every name can be found from a TV show or a movie?" Brett pouted as he paused on his knitting to glare at Reagan. "How else would parents pick out names? Besides you haven't made any suggestions!"

"Ah isn't there like an app or something that can efficiently come up with baby names?" Reagan asked while pausing for a second on the computer.

"Reagan?! We can't just have an app come up with our twins' names for us!" Brett scolded setting down his knitting needles in his lap. "Their names are supposed to be personal they're so important for the twins and the amount of effort we put into their names sets the tone for the kind of parents we're going to be!"

"Ah fine!" Reagan said in a bit of a huff as she leaned back into the couch. "What about…a Mable?"

"NO! We agreed on no horse references!" Brett exclaimed glaring a bit harshly at her.

"How is the name Mable a horse reference?" Reagan asked staring at Brett in confusion.

"Mable, Mable if you're able save the horseplay for the stable!" Brett recited nearly grinding his teeth as he did. "I can't tell you how many times I've heard that stupid rhyme while being forced into a stall because I was too much of a distraction from my siblings horse races!"

"Okay never mind that name then…you know this would be easier if we just made a list of triggers." Reagan states as she gets back to work on her coding. "That way we know what names to avoid giving the twins."

"That could help." Brett considers while also getting back to work on his knitting. "What about Alex and Alice?"

"I don't know names with the same first letter seems a bit corny." Reagan states while still coding on her laptop. "Their names should be at least a little bit more unique than that."

"We could do what your parents did and make their first names a former President's last name?" Brett suggested. "Could be like our own family tradition!"

"We are not doing anything that could possibly in anyway shape or form resemble how my parents' made decisions about me!" Reagan firmly stated. "Beside my dad only named me Reagan as a reminder of the first President he was able to fully control and brainwash." With that said Reagan got back to work and things were peaceful between them for another twenty minutes when suddenly a hurried knock could be heard from Reagan's door. "Who could be showing up here at this time of night?" Reagan questioned as she turns her head towards the door.

"Oh! Maybe 'the gang' is throwing us a surprise baby shower!" Brett says in an excited tone as he sets down the knitting needles again.

"Brett?! Why would they throw us a baby shower this late into the night?" Reagan asked giving a disbelieving look as she stood up from the couch.

"So that it's a surprise Reagan!" Brett states as if this is the most obvious thing in the world as he followed her to the front door. "Quick make sure you look really surprised when they bust in!"

Reagan just shakes her head at him as she looks through the peak hole of her front door. "You know Brett, sometimes I can't even believe that I decided that you were the right person to have a ba-" The rest of the sentence was cut off as Reagan backed away from the door in horror. "Oh shit!"

"Reagan Language?!" Brett scolded at her cursing. "Now I know the twins haven't formed ears yet, but I still think that we should set a good example by-" Brett's sentence was cutoff when Reagan suddenly slapped her hand over his mouth.

"Keeping your fucking voice down about the twins!" Reagan says in a harsh whisper. "My fucking dad is at the door!"

"Oh shit!" Brett manages to say behind the hand that was still covering his mouth. "What's he doing here?!" He asked in a panicked tone as he stared at Reagan as the knocking continued.

"Hell, if I know!" Reagan answered with a glare towards Brett. "It's not as if I'm inviting that man over for a fucking 'Growing Years' viewing party!"

"Oh god what if her knows about the-" Instead of saying the word twins Brett gestured towards Reagan's stomach.

"That isn't possible?! The only people who know about them besides us and the doctor is 'the gang' and they already said that they would never tell Rand anything!" Reagan proclaimed. "What if I accidently forgot to disable all the cameras and microphones during the announcement?! Wait no, he wouldn't have let us walk out of the building if he knew about this earlier." The knocking continues bringing Reagan's attention back towards the door where her father was apparently waiting outside.

"Should we answer it?" Brett asked clearly not sure what to do at the moment.

"Well clearly I have to since he's not going the fuck away." Reagan said with a sigh. "I'll answer and find out what he wants and when he's done explaining tell him to get the fuck out!" She finishes explaining as she approaches the door. "Act natural Brett, we can't let Rand get even a hint of what is really going on!" She warned before opening the door.

"Consider me o'natural!" Brett proclaimed while giving her a thumbs up, with that said Reagan opened the door and came face to face with her annoyed father.

"Took you long enough to answer." Rand said in an irritated tone. "What were you gonna just leave me outside knocking on that door all night?"

"In case you didn't get the hint from me throwing your shit out and burning them in a dumpster, YOU don't fucking live here anymore!" Reagan states in an equally irritated tone, she had only opened the door a crack so that she could easily slam the door in his face if she needed to. "So whatever reason you felt the need to come over better be so fucking important that someone is dying! And hopefully it's you!"

"Well, I can see your mother's bitchiness is especially affecting you tonight." Rand proclaimed while glaring at his daughter. "You two must really be enjoying your bitch feast about what a lousy husband and father I am."

"As fun as that sounds, I haven't actually seen mom since she want on her honeymoon with herself." Reagan stated evenly while crossing her arms over her chest. "Now do you actually have a reason for being here. Because I have better things to do!"

"Speaking of which." Rand says with a mischievous tone as he slams the door wide open so that he could glare at Brett. "I know what you and that human puppy you call a friend have done Reagan."

"Excuse me?!" Reagan said in a nervous tone as she backed away from her father.

"Did you really think I wouldn't notice it?" Rand asked as he walked menacingly towards the two. "You've stopped working late? You don't argue about not going on missions anymore? You look like you've actually been eating and sleeping properly? You're not drinking coffee with your Adderall?!" Rand states as he continues to glare at the nervous pair. "Did you two really think that you could outsmart me? Did you really that I wouldn't find out?!"

"Well, actually I think we were hoping to-" Brett tries to explain as he stepped closer to Reagan.

"It's none of your fucking business!" Reagan cuts off before Brett could finish his sentence.

"God, Reagan just when I think you couldn't become anymore of a disappointment you go and…actually start a relationship with a person that's basically a crossbreed between a Ken doll and a golden retriever!" Rand spats out as he glared at the two. "And you two shitheads really thought you could hide it from me, even though you didn't even have the decency to cover your tracks properly!"

"What are you fucking talking about?!" Reagan shouted both relieved that her father hadn't found out about the pregnancy and yet confused as to why he would think that she was in a relationship with Brett.

"I'm taking about this HR form that your emotional support animal filled out two months ago!" Rand spats out as he threw the form in their direction. "This is really unbelievable Reagan! I mean you couldn't handle me becoming CEO so badly that you had to jump into bed with this male airhead right away?!"

Reagan could only look down in shock at the HR form that Brett had filed out without her knowledge the morning after they got drunk, and she conceived the twins. It was a standard HR form that basically summed up that the two now had an intimate relationship, and when you consider the fact that she was pregnant it was probably a good idea to fill one out and the HR forms were supposed to be private only to be brought up in case of a legal issue or if the two had a fight and broke up while working in the office. But of course, Rand would break company policy and read up on any form even the supposedly private forms just because it had to do with her and her relationship with her friend. Now Rand at least knew about the two sleeping together and it could lead to him finding out the reason behind it was to get her pregnant, whether Brett had meant to or not he had just handed her father a smoking gun that could lead him to discovering the twins. She tried to form words to speak up but couldn't come up with anything to say they were clearly caught…or at least partially caught.

"Well, I've got news for you Reagan!" Rand continued to rant either not noticing or caring about his daughter's internal dilemma. "If you think I'm just going to sit back and let you waste your life with this human golden retriever you're wrong! Come tomorrow that support animal is out of here! Along with every memory he has of Cognito Inc and it's employees!"

"What?!" Brett shouts in panic as he looks at Reagan in horror. "Can he do that?!"

"You can't do that!" Reagan argues glaring at her father. "CEO or not you can't fire anyone for being in a relationship with another employee at Cognito Inc especially after it's been officially disclosed and processed by HR! So, unless you have a real fire-able offense against Brett you can get the fuck out of here!"

"Do we really have to go over this again?" Rand said with an irritated sigh. "Friends are temporary, and love is meaningless especially for people like us who are above that mediocre bullshit!" Rand says evenly as he glared at his daughter. "And people like Brett…and Orion aren't good for anything other than being mindless soldiers and grocery store clerks! The only thing they'll do is slow you down."

"Yes, well of course you would think that after you've already failed at having a successful marriage." Reagan says bitingly while staring her father down. "You failed with mom, you failed at Cognito so bad that you had to weasel your way in just to get the CEO position! And most importantly you've failed at getting your only daughter to deal with you bullshit anymore!"

"Deal with my bullshit?!" Rand repeats back. "When have you ever dealt with-"

"How about when you lost your job at Cognito!" Reagan interrupts. "Or when mom filed for a divorce and kicked you out of the house! For over a year all you would do is bitch and moan on my couch about being let go from Cognito and mom kicking you out! And now…now you have no one who wants to deal with you!" A realization set in as Reagan began to put the pieces together. "That's why you're here! No wife, no friends, not even an employee that is willing to suck up to you! And that fucking terrifies you especially since I'm not letting you leech off of me!"

"Reagan, you have no idea-" Rand tries to argue again.

"Oh, I think I have an idea Dad!" Reagan said sarcastically. "You're alone and bitter and you raised me to be the same way but time and time again it just doesn't work out how you planned it! Well, you've got no one to blame but yourself for the fact that you're all alone! So, stop trying to drag me into anymore of your bullshit and just get a life."

"So that's how it is huh?" Rand said in a malicious tone. "I do my best to save you from a live of mediocrity and disappointment and this is the thanks that I get?! Fine live out this sick 'so called' domestic bliss fuck feast where you spend every waking moment together and have meaningless conversations while you lie to yourself about how happy you actually are!" Rand spats out as he turns to walk back out the door. "Oh, and by the way-" Rand says with a clear smirk in his tone. "I'd start looking for a new place to live if I were you, Reagan. Apparently, your landlord frowns upon you having an extra person living with you…it's a violation of your lease especially one that has been living with you for over a year."

"You son of a bitch!" Reagan shouted as she tried to run over to her father to punch him only to be stopped when Brett held her back. "You told my landlord about me letting you stay here!"

"Actually, I spoke to your landlord about your emotionally support animal." Rand says with a smirk. "Between the fact that he's been staying here for two weeks, not to mention all the evidence that the landlord was able to acquire he came to the conclusion that you have a month to clear the building." With that said he threw another bundle of papers in their direction. "Here's the notice that you got three weeks ago, good luck on the apartment hunt. After all there's nothing that brings a 'happy' new couple together more than the stress of finding a new place to live…in less than a week." And with that said Rand slammed the door shut leaving the pair alone as they processed this new bit of information.

"What the fuck Brett?!" Reagan nearly shouted when she was sure that her father was gone.

"What did I do?" Brett asked his head tilted to the side as he looked at her in confusion.

"Why would you fill out an HR form about us without telling me?" Reagan questioned while glaring at him. "Scratch that why did you fill out the HR form at all?! Do you not understand how close Rand is now to finding out about the twins?"

"I'm sorry Reagan!" Brett said sheepishly as the two started walking back to the living room. "It was an emotional morning and I know at the time you said that you were going to take the plan B, but I thought it would make sense to fill it out then in case you changed your mind about having a baby later on!"

"I guess logically speaking if this were a normal situation filing out an HR form at work was the right call since I did change my mind." Reagan just said with a stressed-out sigh as she leaned back on the couch again. "But now Rand is going to be watching us carefully which means we're gonna have to pretend to be a real couple around him, so he doesn't find out about the twins! But if we have to act like a couple that means he still could find out about the twins?! And who knows what he'll do if he does find out about them!"

"I'm sorry Reagan." Brett repeats again looking defeated while trying to comfort her. "I didn't think about Rand finding the form and now the twins could be in danger!"

"And I've got less than a week to find another place to live!" Reagan stated coolly cursing her father once more. "Of course, Rand would pull some petty shit like this. He's probably got me kicked out of here, so I'd be forced to move in with him."

"It will be okay Reagan; I've already been looking at a few houses for us to raise the twins in any way!" Brett tries to remind her in a cheerful tone. "We'll just have to move sooner than we planned."

"Brett, buying a house is a long stressful process that takes months or even years." Reagan says shaking her head at him. "We have to consider the price, consider how long our commute to work will end up being, consider the neighborhood, nearby schools, parks; a whole lot of shit to figure even if we secretly run the shadow government there's no way we could find the perfect house in less than a week."

"Of course, we can BFF." Brett proclaims in a cheerful tone. "I know that if we both focus our time and energy into it, we can find a great house for us and the twins!" Brett than puts his knitting needles aside and takes out his phone so that he could start searching for houses again.

Reagan just shook her head at him as she stared at her laptop, she knew she'd have to set aside her projects in order to give her full attention to finding a house. "I could really use a glass of wine right now." She said with a sigh.

"I'll get you some grape juice then." Brett stood up from the couch heading for the kitchen while still looking down at his phone.

"I said I wanted wine Brett!" Reagan yelled after him.

"Okay, I'll get you some sparkling grape juice!" Brett yelled back from the kitchen.

"Seriously, how are we supposed to convince Rand that we are together any way." Reagan whispered to herself while shaking her head again as she looked at house listings on her laptop. "Who would ever believe that we were together."

A/N and that is the end of another chapter I hope you enjoyed it!
