Ethan does not have the gene.
Guest: (Leah) Thank you for the review. The underwater one with Cal, Alicia and their daughter is coming in two chapters time, I promise, I'm just struggling with it. Do you want any deaths in the chapter?
Lily's are pretty: Thank you for the review. I'm glad that you think it's perfect, I don't like Linda, but I love Jessica more, so it made sense for me to more focus on her. I think it's easier to think of Jess as shy.
bronny9: Thank you for the review.

The Secret Life Of Casualty.
Chapter 273.
It was a stormy day, and the brothers were just parking up at the flat, after a tiring day at work. Cal had lost two of his patients, an elderly lady, as she had suffered a cardiac arrest, as she was living on the streets, due to being homeless, she had struggled to pay her bills and the council had repossed her 2 - bedroomed flat, he had felt for her and a little boy, who had meningitis, but it was too severe to control as the rash spread all over his body.
"Are you alright?" Ethan asked Cal, he had noticed that the older one was usually quiet, as they got out of the car and had to run to avoid being caught in the rain, they ran in through the double doors and upn the stairs until they reached their front door. Cal unlocked it and him and Ethan shrugged out of their wet coats and Cal headed in to the living room, while Ethan went through to the kitchen to make them both a warm a drink. He made them a hot chocolate as Matilda did when one of the boys were either sick or frightened. Ethan got a bar of chocolate out of the fridge. He then melted the chocolate in a saucepan that he had put on low heat. He then increased the heat, added some milk while counting to whisk it. He reached in to the cupboard and grabbed two mugs and gently poured it in to the mugs, being careful that he didn't burn himself.
When the drinks were made Ethan picked them up and took them in to the living room to see Cal staring at the wall, a blank expression on his face, his eyes were full of fear as a bolt as lightening, crashed against the window and Cal cowered in to the couch. Ethan looked at his brother, who had a look that Ethan could only recognise as fear. He usually had a macho attitude.
"Ethan, make it stop, " Cal whimpered, putting his hands over his ears and screwing his eyes shut.
Ethan shook his head sadly at his brother. "I can't Cal. " He whispered back.
Cal moved closer to his brother, he didn't want to be alone during the scary time. Ethan stroked his hair and wiped the sweat off his forehead as he tried to soothe him.
Cal fell asleep on his brother, who struggled under his weight. He gave up and continued to stroke his hair, whispering soothing words to him as he strained about.
"Shh, it's OK, Cal " He whispered, pressing a kiss to his forehead.
