The Secret Life Of Casualty.

Chapter 457.

Robyn had stayed the night at Ruby's while Iain stayed at Cal's.

"Come on, mate. We need to get ready" Cal said, giving Iain a shove.

Iain groaned as he sat up. For his last night of freedom, he'd started off with a few pints, some drunken singing, then a few more beers back at Cal's, along with Ethan, Charlie, Jacob.

Iain went up the stairs to the shower.

At Ruby and Iain's house, Ruby and Robyn were getting ready, music was on in the background, a few.

Ruby was wearing a short white dress, her hair was curled and on her feet, she wore a pair of pumps.

Iain walked in to the kitchen, a towel around his waist, to see Cal pouring out two brandys.

"What are you doing?" Iain asked.

"Dutch courage, mate" Cal said, handing Iain a glass.

"Cal, have you got the rings?" Iain asked.

Cal shook his head. "Nah, mate"

Iain punched Cal on the shoulder as he produced two rings, each in their own little black box.

Iain and Cal left the house then, aware that the next time Iain walked in, Ruby would be his wife.

Iain walked around the venue, greeting his friends.

Robyn, dressed in a purple bridesmaid dress, walked up the alsle first, followed by Ruby, who was secretly wishing that her grandad could have gave her away.

Father Bill started to talk.

"We are asslembled here to celebrate the joining of Iain and Ruby in the unity of marriage. There are no obligations on earth sweeter or more tender than those you are about to assaume. There are no vows more solemn than those you are about to make."

"Iain and Ruby, you fell in love by chance, but you are here today, because you are making a choice. You have choosen to be with someone who enriches you, who makes you think, makes you smile, and finds a way to make every day brighter. You are about to make promises that you intend to keep. You are going to vow to take care of each other, to stand up for one another, and find happiness in the other. There's a simple premise to each of these promises: you are vowing to be there, you're teaming up to say to the other, every experience, I am going to have, I want you to be a part of"

"Will you please face each other and hold hands?" Father Bill requested.

Iain and Ruby turned to face each, Iain, holding Ruby's hands.

"Iain, will you take this woman to be your wedding wife? Will you love her, comfort her, through good times and the bad, in sickness and in health (Iain kept thinking back to when he tried to take his own life) honor her at all times and be faithful to her?"

"I will, " Iain replied.

"Ruby, will you take this man to be your wedded husband? Will you love him, comfort him, through good times and the bad, in sickness and in health, honor her at all times and be faithful to him?"

"I will" Ruby smiled.

"As you take these preliminary vows, Iain and Ruby, I would have you remember: to love is to come together from the pathways of our past, and then move forward, hand in hand, along the uncharted roads of our future, ready to risk, to dream, and to dare. "

Cal handed Iain his ring.

"Iain, please take Ruby's ring and repeat after me" Said Father Bill, watching Iain pick up his ring.

"I, Iain take you, Ruby, to be my wife, to love and to cherish from this day foreward and thereto pledge you my faith, with this ring, I thee wed" Said Iain, slipping a simple gold band on to Ruby's third finger on her left hand.

"I, Ruby, take you, Iain, to be my husband, to love and to cherish from this day foreward and thereto pledge you my faith, with this ring, I thee wed" smiled Ruby.

"Iain and Ruby, inasmuch as you have consented together in the union of matriony and have pleged your faith to each other, in the presence of this company, now by the authourity, invested in me, I now prounouce you, husband and wife, you may kiss the bride "

Iain pulled Ruby in to his arms and kissed her passionately as photographer Ricky (who Ruby had found online, after Jessica had recommanded her) took photos of the new bride and groom.

For their honeymoon, Gem had used the money, she was going to use on a ticket to join Rash on his travels for a hotel, for the new bride and groom, while she looked after the twins for a week, she'd hadn't seen much of them.

Iain held the door open for his new bride as they kissed, sourrounded by wolf whistles from Cal and cheers from Robyn, who was holding Sophia.

I tried to make the service as short as I possibly could as I know from experience that when I write them out, they get quite long. Just something IN wrote really quickly.
