Indi: Thank you for the review, even though, I didn't want to send Adam to prison, I knew he had to be punished.

The Secret Life Of Casualty.

Chapter 508.

Adam had never been one for sitting still, he'd always been an active man, being in the ED gave him a purpose, but now being suspended and due to visit Jessica in a few hours, he needed to figure out how he was going to tell her.

He groaned, she was going to kill him.

With the childminder, taking the kids to school it gave him a chance to at least try to figure out what he was going to say.

"Have a good day, " He told the kids as the childminder arrived.

Adam headed up the stairs for a shower once the childminder had gone, ready to see Jess.

After a shower, he was down the stairs, grabbing his car keys, wallet and house keys, before locking the door and getting in to his car.

"Adam Trueman, " He told the guard.

Jessica was in her cell, curled up on her bed, almost falling asleep when an officer come in to her cell, she hated the lack of privacy.

"You have a visitor. "

Jessica frowned, she hadn't filled out a visiting order.

"Hurry up, Harrison, I haven't got all day. " The officer said, Jessica knew she'd lose this visit if she didn't hurry. Getting off the bed, she followed the guard through the corridor to the visiting room, which was empty, the other prisoners were working, she didn't have a job yet, except for her.

Jessica looked up, as she sat down at a table.

"Adam, what are you doing here?" She asked.

"We need to talk" Adam replied, he knew that he owed her an explanation face to face instead of a two minute phone call, which would be overheard by the other prisoners.

"Are the children okay?" Jessica asked, worried that Adam was going to tell her that one of the kids were sick.

"They are good." Adam comfirmed with a nod of his head. "Jess"

Jessica looked up.

"I've been suspended. " Adam told her.

Shock showed on Jessica's face. "What?"

"I punched Iain. "

Jessica stared at him, she knew Adam wasn't a violent man, but was confused as to why he had punched him. "I don't understand"

Adam rubbed the back of his neck. "He was saying things about you. "

Jessica shrugged. "Oh, "

"I couldn't let him say those things about you, "

Jessica shrugged again. "I deserved it, I stole a child. "

Adam shook his head. "You were grieving for our son, "

Tears welled up in her eyes. "I know, but I also know what it's like having your children snatched away from you, "

Adam knew what she was talking about. "That was different. "

"Sean took my children. " She replied.

"Yep, "

"Time's up. " Said the guard, Jessica sighed, she didn't know when she'd next see Adam.

"See you, Jess" Adam said as he gave her a brief hug before leaving the prison.

Jessica was escorted back to her cell, she sat back on the bed.

Adam arrived home, just as the childminder was coming home with the kids. He unlocked the door and the kids headed inside, to watch TV. Adam headed to the kitchen to put tea on and have a beer.

After burning the pizza, he called out for a takeaway, knowing that Jessica didn't really like them having fast food, bit figuring they deserved a treat.

I don't know where to go next with this. I'm thinking of maybe taking a break from writing Iain and Ruby, but maybe if any future storylines inspire me, I might return to writing them.
