29: The cats go to Washington DC and Firestar questions the meaning of his existence
"Hey everybody! Wake up! We're in Washington DC!" Levinpaw screamed to his friends. They were all in a small hotel room. It was 2:45 AM.
"But why?" Asked Bushface.
"What is the meaning of life?" Asked Firestar.
"Where's the vending machine?" Asked Gravitypaw.
"Redstripe's in DC and chose to write about it, shut up, and it's by the elevator."
"Hey! For once our questions were actually answered!" Bushface exclaimed.
"But not mine!" Firestar started crying. He began to question the point of his existence and whether he was simply an illusion, a computer-generated character in a computer-generated simulation of a world. Or maybe he did not exist here at all. Maybe, just maybe, at some point in his life, Firestar could wake up and realize that his entire life here meant nothing and that he had just been having a very realistic dream. There were so many possibilities. So many ways that his whole reality could be a part of something his species was incapable of perceiving. His brain exploded (and bits of it flew everywhere). It was all just too much.
After a few minutes of uncomfortable silence, the three sane cats went downstairs and played in the pool for a while.
