(Season 5x02 = Lucifer! Lucifer! Lucifer!)

It was the morning after her reunion with Lucifer, and Chloe spent it wondering around the precinct looking for him until Ella and Joei interrupted her search…

Hairstyle: Half-Ponytail

Dress: Blue Verona Floral Wrap Dress by French Connection

Footwear: SPIKE2 Black Block Heel Ankle Boots By KG Kurt Geiger

Jacket: Black ¾ sleeve blazer

Earrings: Silver disc hoop earrings

Joei: Hey, Chloe. You looking for something?

Chloe: Oh, just Lucifer.

Ella: Aw, sweetie, it's come to this? Full-on delusions. (Gives Chloe a supporting hug) We're gonna get through this. I promise.

Chloe: It's fine. It's fine. He really is back, I… (Ella: Mm-hmmm) I saw him yesterday, and there's a new case, so…

# Luci's back? As in back from Hell? Right here, right now? No offense, but is he mad? Has he forgotten the reason why he had to leave in the first place? I mean, what's to stop the demons from coming back, hurting more people and kidnapping Charlie again? But sadly, I couldn't discuss this with him because I was needed in the courtroom for the next couple of days. So I won't be able to see Luci until then.

Ella: Whoa, whoa, wait. Lucifer's back? Like, seriously back? (Checks her phone) Full bars, battery's charged, but no texts or messages. Awesome. Not surprised though. He didn't tell me when he left. Why would he tell me when he's back?

Chloe: Ella, I know you bummed at him, and you have reason, but he also had a really good reason for leaving so suddenly. And while he's been gone, he's sort of been through… Hell. So, you know if you could just cut him a little bit of slack.

Ella: I guess it would be nice to have good old Lucifer around again. I mean, I missed him, you know. I mean, I don't miss him like you miss him, because I don't find him attractive. He's like my brother. Anyway… (Gives a double thumbs up)

Shortly after arriving at the latest crime scene, which took place in a space simulator called the 'Red 2 Mars project,' which is also associated with 'Brody Aerospace. As in, it relates to the rich billionaire who was a suspect during a case the year before, Anders Brody. Anyway, their victim was the biochemist and commander of the 'Red 2 Mars Project,' Judy Mason. She was found in the sleeping-quarters, in a space-suit and her cause of death was a stab to the neck (but there was no murder weapon). The night before while the other five participants of the simulation were asleep, Judy snuck in to steal of one of the other civilian's food rations and was trying to enjoy a midnight-snack when the killer, snuck up and struck her from behind.

The killer was able to cover his tracks because he was also wearing a space-suit, most of the footage from the cameras were wiped, and there were only bloody footprints and a piece of hair left behind. In addition, because the five civilians payed a vast amount of fortune to train and become the first Mars colony, they had to remain within the perimeters of the simulator. Meaning, the killer had to be one of the five. Before Chloe was about to talk with the crew and then head back to the precinct, she finally found…

Lucifer: Hello, Detective.

Chloe: Lucifer. Hi. I… I was looking everywhere for you.

Lucifer: Well, here I am, and there's no where I'd be, so…

Before speaking further, Lucifer found himself being attacked with a shoe by an angry Ella who was still holding grudge against him for running off to 'Florida' without saying goodbye and ghosting her. As Lucifer explained himself to her, Chloe witnessed him doing the most unlikeliest thing for the very first time. Lucifer Morningstar… was lying!

Lucifer: Oh, yes. Yes, I was in Florida. My mother was terribly ill.

Ella: I thought you said you had to take over the family business.

Lucifer: Indeed. My mother was ill, which is why I had to take over the business. But Florida is wretched. Far too many creepy-crawlies, and no Miss Lopez.

By simply saying those words, Ella quickly forgave and forgot while joyfully hugging her dear friend. While also ordering him to never leave without telling her again (In Spanish). The moment Ella left the area; Chloe gave her a quick smile before glaring at Lucifer. Since this was the first time Lucifer has ever told a lied, Chloe wanted an explanation, so once they were able to talk privately...

Chloe: You just lied to her.

Lucifer: Uh, no. You did. I just kept up the ruse.

Chloe: You never lie.

Lucifer: Remember, Detective, for you, I was only gone for two months. But for me, I was in Hell for thousands of years. A few things might've changed, maybe even improved. After all, a little white lie can be quite beneficial.

He proved his point when he saw Dan walking towards them. Lucifer was complimenting him while also admiring his amethyst bracelet, which has been helping Dan to cleanse his chakra. Feeling appreciated, Dan exits the area smiling. Leaving Lucifer to introduce Chloe to… Lucifer 2.0.

Regardless of having Lucifer back, Chloe still couldn't shake this feeling that there was something different about him. To her, he wasn't acting like the Devil knew and loved and it caused Chloe to become very concerned and a tad suspicious. Needing someone to talk to, Chloe rushed over to Linda's office and told her. Linda was happy to hear of Lucifer's return at first, until she saw the disconcerting look upon Chloe's face and wondered why.

Chloe: Uh… Well, it's… it's probably nothing, but Lucifer's acting… Different.

Linda: Different how?

Chloe: Uh, I don't know. I'm sure it has nothing to do with the fact that I told him I loved him right before he left, and he didn't exactly say it back. But he did say… 'It was you, Chloe. It was always you.' Which is kind of a big deal because he used my name, which is something he never does. So I'm pretty sure he's not acting wired because I freaked him out or anything.

Upon hearing this, Linda theorized that the reason behind Lucifer's strange behaviour is merely the result of him spending thousands of years in Hell, While also assuring Chloe that whatever he's currently going through, does not intentionally involve his feelings for her. She even suggested that Chloe just gives Lucifer some time to readjust to his life back on Earth. However, Chloe took the entire conversation and twisted what Linda just said by saying…

Chloe: Yes. You're so right, that's it. I just have to remind him, of who he was when he was on Earth, and then just give him a little jumpstart. That's exactly it. Thank you, Linda. You're a genus.

Recalling her previous therapy sessions with Lucifer that resulted in him twisting her words around and then leaving their sessions early, Linda couldn't help but compliant Chloe for doing the same.

Linda: You two are perfect for each other.

Afterwards, Chloe returned to precinct, and she and the new Lucifer were preparing to interrogate their first five suspects. Beforehand, Chloe took a moment to remind Lucifer of fun he used to make interrogations. However, when the two of them began interrogating their suspects; Jane Everly, Richie Ellison, Benjamin Wu, Venus Hyatt and Sharron Osborne, Lucifer did the unlikeliest thing again by voluntarily taking notes, acted serious and didn't even try to compare himself to the suspects or the victim.

In order to remind Lucifer of who he was before leaving for Hell, Chloe attempted to give him subtle hints that involve, using his mojo on the suspects, offering his flask, making immature jokes, flirting with the suspects or confronting them as the killer, but none of it worked. Lucifer seemed uninterested to follow his usual instincts.

As for the suspects, they all claimed that even though they didn't always get along with Judy, she was still considered a nice lady and none of them 'Stabbed her in her sorry space arse.' Since the interviews went nowhere, Chloe and Lucifer stepped outside the room, where a suspicious Chloe kept wondering why he refused to do something impulsive, sinful or even remotely childish. For example, when Chloe offered Lucifer Dan's pudding, he refused to eat it in the hopes of annoying Dan. Although, when Dan saw him with his pudding, he automatically assumed that Lucifer did something to it. Moreover, Ella came by with a new clue.

The piece of hair Ella found earlier, was sheep hair and the only explanation for it even being there, was because it came from outside the dome. Leading Chloe and Lucifer to the project's mission control to see who had access to space simulator. Because the simulator is based on an actual trip to mars, the main crew wouldn't need to go back and forth for supplies or repairs because they'd already be well prepared for any complications. There is however the matter of discussing the psychological trauma for the travellers. Due to the them spending a long period of time of being away from their loved ones in a large confined space with strangers.

In fact, one of the crewmembers, Sam Chavez and his colleague, Mandy, spoke of his experience during the 'Res 1 Mars Project,' and how it completely changed him, regardless of all the time he took to readjust. Allowing Chloe to ask certain questions that almost compared to her situation with Lucifer. As for the case, Sam and Mandy helped provide them with a new suspect. The former aerospace engineer, Donovan Glover. He was fired from the project after his sudden outburst when Judy was chosen to be commander over him. By the time, they were leaving the facility, Lucifer stopped to acknowledge Chloe's concerns for him…

Lucifer: Detective, I… I could tell the questions you were asking certainly weren't just about the case. You're concerned that I have changed. Well, the truth is… I have. But I need to know that my feelings for you… (Lightly strokes Chloe's cheek haven't. You've already been so patient. I just ask that you give me a little more time.

Chloe: Of course. Whatever you need.

Lucifer: Thank you.

Later on, Lucifer returned to the penthouse where he secretly revealed his true colours. He suddenly slouched to right side, poured himself a glass of vodka instead of scotch or whiskey and above all, showed no emotion for his destroyed piano. In addition, Maze popped out and she attacked Lucifer until she had him pinned to floor and furiously confronted him for leaving her on Earth.

Maze: How could you?! After everything we've through, Lucifer, how could you go home without me?!

Lucifer?: *Suddenly begins speaking in an American accent while choking from Maze's hold* I'm not Lucifer! I'm not Lucifer! I'm not Lucifer!

The moment Maze released the imposter struggling to get up before her; she quickly remembered when the real Lucifer told her… he had a twin brother!

Lucifer?: *Short of breath* And you are Mazikeen. Nice to meet you. I'm Michael.

At first, Maze almost didn't believe that the Angel who looks exactly like Lucifer, is really Michael. To prove his identity, Michael showed her his wings, which were black and one wing was more crooked than the other. Now believing him, Maze asked why he was even here on Earth.

According to Michael, the reason he travelled to Los-Angeles, was so he could 'right a very serious wrong.' It all began when he was in the Silver-City and then he heard the rumours of Lucifer returning to Hell voluntarily in order to protect humanity. At first, Michael assumed it was some sort of joke, until the rest of his siblings began praising and admiring Lucifer for his brave and noble sacrifice. Soon enough, Lucifer became the main talk of the Silver-City.

Maze: So you're jealous?

Michael: No. I'm pissed. Lucifer finally does what he's supposed to do without whining about it and he gets praised? He rebelled against Dad. Almighty God, for God's sake. Since when do we congratulate a convict for severing his sentence? And if I know my eternally selfish brother, and I do, all this sacrifice and responsibility bullshit, is just smoke and mirrors. I don't know who he's trying to fool, but I do know… that as soon as hears someone is up here playing with his toys… maybe even breaking a few, then he will come flying right back up to reveal his true colours. So… *Speaks like Lucifer* Hello, Los-Angeles.

Unfortunately for Michael, Maze could see the flaws in his plan. He doesn't know how to actually be Lucifer and she warns him that humans are smart, especially Chloe Decker. Regardless of her current suspicions, Michael assures Maze that once he up's his 'Lucifer game' and gets Chloe properly hooked, he will soon achy-break her little heart. At first, Maze was against this plot and was willing to put a stop to it. Until Michael made her an offer. He knows Maze is furious with Lucifer for returning to Hell without her and Chloe for dissolving their partnership and rejecting her, which is why Michael is offering her the chance to seek revenge on both of them if she willingly joins him.

Downstairs at LUX, Michael was walking by when he was spotted by Amenadiel, who somehow fell for his impersonation and thought he was Lucifer too. Originally, Amenadiel was glad to see his brother, but soon grew concerned because if 'Lucifer' is here on Earth, then who's in Hell watching the Demons? And if no one's watching the Demons, then it also meant that they may rebel and kidnap Charlie again. Despite 'Lucifer' assuring his worried brother that the Demons are certainly in line, Amenadiel still couldn't help but worry for his son's safety.

Soon enough, Michael was on a stakeout with Chloe. They waited until they spotted Donovan Glover running to his car and attempting to drive away. Allowing Chloe to engage in a car chase. By the time Donovan was cornered, Chloe pointed her gun, ordered him to get out of the car, but he drove straight towards them, causing Chloe to shoot at him until Michael grabbed onto her, unveiled his wings and then flew her to safety.

Afterwards, they brought Donovan into custody, where he confessed to mistaking them for repo men before giving them his alibi for Judy's murder. He also informed them of the true reason Judy was chosen over him was because she was having an affair with Anders Brody. Since he's married with a reputation to loose and access to mission control, it made Brody the prime suspect. While waiting for information on Anders Brody's current whereabouts, Dan was walking by when he too noticed 'Lucifer' doing something unusual.

Dan: Hey. What are you doing?

Michael: I'm literally doing nothing.

Dan: You never do nothing. Somethings definitely up.

Chloe: Hi. So I figured out why we can't get a hold of Brody. (Points up)

Michael: He's dead?

Chloe: Not Heaven. Space. Turns out he's on a suborbital shuttle test until tomorrow morning. So, you know… That means that you and I… have the rest of the evening free.

Michael: (Notice's Dan gleefully smiling at them) Right. Right, well, I suppose I'll go home and get some dinner, then. All on my lonesome. I'll see you later, Detective. (Walks away, leaving Chloe and Dan confused)

Chloe: Ah… was that an invitation.

Dan: Don't ask me. The guys a freakin enigma.

Nevertheless, Chloe decided to come up to penthouse with her and Lucifer's favourite, burgers and fries. But the second she walked in… Chloe saw 'Lucifer' making-out with Maze! Mortified by what she was seeing, Chloe dropped the food and ran towards the elevator, but 'Lucifer' caught up to her while trying to explain himself.

Chloe: Maze? Maze?! You are acting so different. I am trying to be patient, Lucifer. Understanding… (Michael attempts to touch her, but she pulls away from him) No. No. Leave me alone. I… I don't even know who are anymore.

Michael: You're right. Honestly, I'm not even sure who I'm anymore. I mean, I was down there for so long, I got lost, lost in who I used to be. And I have been trying so hard to get back to the Lucifer I was, the Lucifer that you know, but… (Attempts to touch her again, but she smacks his hand away) When I saw Maze, Hell just came rushing back. Chloe, it meant nothing. You are the only thing that matters to me.

Chloe: Oh, Yeah? How do I know that you're not lying? Because you do that now, yeah? You lie.

Michael: Not to you. You're different. I would never lie to you.

Chloe: (Realizes they're on the bottom floor at LUX) Yeah, well, I need to go. I need… I need to think. (Leaves the elevator)

Michael: Detective. *Deviously smiles because his plan was currently succeeding*

The next morning, Michael and Chloe arrived at the hanger where Anders Brody was giving a speech. He was willing to speak with them after seeing 'Lucifer' again. Since the real Lucifer was the one who helped him find forgiveness. When asked about Judy's murder and the affair, Brody refused to speak without his lawyer present. That is until Chloe asked 'Lucifer' to use mojo on Brody. In doing so, Michael looked Anders Brody in the eyes and asked him…

Michael: Tell me… What is it that you truly fear?

Instead of exposing his desire, Brody exposed his greatest fear, which was… People finding that he actually hates space and the whole 'Red 2 Project,' was all part of a publicity stunt. When Judy discovered this, she threatened to expose him to the press, but Brody claimed he convinced her not to, while also telling her that he no choice but to go through with the project. Moreover, due to Brody having a soft alibi, he had to lawyerd-up. Leaving them to needing to find more evidence. Before returning to the precinct, Michael wanted to 'clarify' his 'new mojo' with Chloe…

Michael: I, uh… I upset you even more back there, didn't I? When I asked him what he truly feared.

Chloe: Uh… Actually, Lucifer… just the opposite. I think it helped me understand. I've never been to Hell, and I hope I never will, but from what you've told me… it's a truly terrible place, and if it really was thousands of years for you, no wonder dishonesty and fear followed you back. I mean, yes, you changed, but it would be so strange if you hadn't. (Gently places her hand on Michael's cheek) I think it's time that I accept that.

In that moment, Michael almost couldn't believe it, but a small part of him was beginning to actually feel something… for Chloe!

Meanwhile at LUX, Amenadiel was working while taking care of Charlie, who had been safely strapped to him for the last 15-16 hours. When Linda came by to pick up their son, Amenadiel was unwilling to hand him over out of wanting to keep him safe. Once he informed Linda of the situation with Lucifer returning and not watching over the demons, it raised Linda with some concerns for their child's safety too. That is until; Linda said something to Amenadiel that helped him piece everything together.

Linda: But Lucifer wouldn't come back unless everything was okay, right?

Amenadiel: I suppose. He said as much. And it's Lucifer, he doesn't lie. (Sees Linda looking concerned) What is it?

Linda: Uh… it's just that Chloe told me that apparently, since he's been back… Lucifer 'has' started lying.

Amenadiel: What? Well, surly he wouldn't lie about something like this.

Linda: Yeah. Right. No, of course, you're right. We shouldn't let our fears get the best of us.

At the precinct, Joei had finally returned from court. Upon her return, she noticed Chloe in lab, continuously working on the case.

Hairstyle: Let-down + Gold Embellished Double Row Headband in Black by claire's

Dress: Salmon short-sleeve fit & flare dress

Footwear: Black block-heel ankle-strap sandals

Blazer: Hawaii zip jacket by Rebecca Taylor

Earrings: Gold Compass Point Earrings by Peggy Li

Necklace: Gold Solid Heart Necklace by Peggy Li

Joei: Hiya.

Chloe: Hey. How was court?

Joei: It was grand. But I doubt it compares to Lucifer's sudden return. How's it going by the way?

Chloe: Uh, well… at first, I thought Lucifer had changed because he was in Hell for so long, but I'm starting to see him a little more clearly now.

Joei: Huh, that's strange.

Chloe: What is?

Joei: Well, if there's one thing I know and admire most about Lucifer, is that no matter how many years he's spent in Hell… he's never actually let it get the best of him. As in, he's never allowed that place to change who he is. Regardless of all the eons and the job description itself.

Unknowingly to Joei, she had just helped Chloe confirm what she now already knew. By the time Chloe was exiting from the lab, she soon found herself being called up to the balcony by Maze. Once she came up the stairs…

Maze: Hey. So, uh… You freaking out? I mean, seeing me with Lucifer…

Chloe: Maze, I know what you're trying to do.

Maze: You do?

Chloe: Yeah, and you suck at it.

Maze: I do?

Chloe: Yeah. Oh, yeah. You're trying to apologize in your very awkward, demon way.

Maze: I am. *Scoffs*

Chloe: Look… I was pissed. It was devastating walking in on you and Lucifer like that. It was. But I know that you're… You know, you're in a vulnerable place right now. You're lonely. You're missing Eve. And it helped me to understand that Lucifer is also hurting, too. He's desperate for love and affection, deeply desperate. I mean, obviously, if he was gonna reach out to you. It also made me realize that 'I' want to be the one who is there for him. In every way. In fact, I think it's time for us to take our relationship to the next level.

Maze: Are you saying you're gonna bone him?

Chloe: I mean… Hopefully it's, like, a little more romantic than that. But, yeah. I think we've waited long enough.

Back in the lab, Joei was working on a sketch for another case, when Michael came in. He was actually looking for Chloe, but instead, he walks in to find his younger sister working. Without turning around, Joei continued to work until Michael spoke up while still pretending to be Lucifer.

Michael: Hello, little sister.

# When I first heard his voice, I thought it was Lucifer, but from the second I turned around to face him… I knew exactly who I was looking at.

Joei: Oh, so it's true, you're back.

Michael: Indeed I am, little sister. It's good to see you, Jophiel.

Joei: Unfortunately, I wish I could say the same. Because if you're here right now, then who's in Hell watching over the Demons?

Michael: No one. But I assure you, little sister, the Demons are perfectly in line. You don't need to worry about them coming back again.

Joei: Oh, I'm sure I don't. After all, I have no reason to doubt you, right? Because the Lucifer I know would never lie. Especially when it involves the safety of his friends, his nephew and of course, the woman he'd be willing to risk his for, right?

Michael: Right.

Joei: Anyway, I heard you and Chloe talked to Anders Brody today.

Michael: Ah, yes, we did. So far, he's looking pretty guilty, but we need more evidence to prove it.

Joei: Well, as I recall, you thought Brody was guilty last year when you and Chloe were working that case together. By the way, which case was that one again?

Michael: *Scoffs* What?

Joei: Which case was it that you lead to Anders Brody last year?

Michael: Uh… *Scoffs* Well, the Detective and I have worked countless cases to keep track. And it's especially hard given all that time I've recently spent in Hell. Now if you'll excuse me, I should get back to finding the her.

Joei: Alright. Although, I have to admit, that's a pretty good impression you do of Lucifer… Michael.

Michael: *Chuckles* Michael? Joei, you must be…

Joei: Oh, cut the crap, Michael, I know it's you. It may have been a few centuries but I could always tell the difference between you and Lucifer.

Michael: *Chuckles before cutting his Lucifer act* You always payed attention to detail, Jophiel.

# Ugh, of all my siblings who have ever irritated me, I've hated Michael the most. Besides Luci's rebellious phase and Amenadiel being Dad's kiss-up phase, Michael was the worst out of both them. Always finding ways to get under everyone's skin, manipulating people with his lies and exploiting their greatest fears for his own amusement. I've been to Ireland and they have a term for people like him. A manipulative gobshite. You see, Luci may be the Devil, but Michael has a way of making him look more like the good twin. Which brings me to the question…

Joei: Michael, why are you here? Did you get bored of tormenting our siblings in the Silver-City?

Michael: Well, not exactly, but I am here because of one of siblings. The Devil in particular. I thought I'd pop up for a visit and see if our dear brother would do the same if he knew what he's been missing.

Joei: It see. And is Dad aware of your visit and your intentions for Luci?

Michael: Oh, please. Like I need Dad's permission to be here. Of course, you'd know. Considering how long you've been here.

Joei: Michael, go home. Now. You shouldn't be here.

Michael: *Scoffs* You honestly think I'm going to listen to you? Jophiel Dina, 'The Runaway Angel.'

Joei: Maybe not. But I'm sure Amenadiel would love to hear about this.

Michael: Oh, so that's your best move, you're gonna tell on me?

Joei: If it gets you to go away and stop impersonating our brother, then yes.

Michael: Fine. Then I guess you won't mind making it a tit for tat then.

Joei: What does that mean?

Michael: Well, even though we all agreed to stay away from you after your little showdown with Remy, I still took it upon myself to watch over my dear little sister. After all, what kind of brother would I be if I didn't make sure you were safe?

Joei: Is that why you think I'm not going to say anything? Because you've watched over me like some peeping-tom?

Michael: No, I think you're not going to say anything because I know, that throughout your years on earth, you've hit struggles from time to time. And they drove you to do things I know you're not entirely proud of. I would just hate to know how your favourite brothers and all your friends here would react if they knew what 'Sweet ol Jophiel' had to result to when times were too hard for her. I mean, with all the hunger, the lack of warmth and shelter, and all those deeply cutting losses you had to endure.

Joei: You are one sick bastard.

# Now you see why I despise him so much? Still, his threat didn't stop me from doing what any little sister would do when she's irritated by her obnoxious big brother. I kneed him in the crotch before leaving the room. And it felt really good.

Afterwards, it was much later in the evening, and throughout all that time, Michael, Chloe and Ella were still working the case until Ella briefly dosed off. Leading Chloe and Michael to go and retrieve some well-needed coffee. As there they were preparing the coffee, Chloe and Michael couldn't help but make physical hand contact when they kept reaching for the same cup and spoon. During which, Chloe was showing how ready she was for the next step in their relationship by seducing Michael with her sexual coffee licking from the spoon, reaching into his pocket and feeling around until she found some money for the vending machine, causing Michael to become even more attracted to her.

When they moved towards the vending machine, Chloe explained how she was liking the 'new Lucifer' and telling him that perhaps it was time they moved forward together as soon as they've solved the case. Which Michael completely agreed to. As they continued to stare at their refection from the vending machine, Chloe made an epiphany before rushing back to the lab. Just as Michael was about to follow her, he was soon approached by the heavily concerned Linda.

Regardless of Michael's claim of Hell being under control, Linda still worried for the safety of her child. In doing so, Michael sensed something else that was deeply troubling Linda…

Michael: Yes, I understand. You're afraid for your baby, but… it's more than that, isn't it? You're afraid of being a bad mother, aren't you? And why do I get the feeling… you have a good reason for that? *But don't worry. Hell's being looked after, I promise you. *Making his own epiphany* And the more I think about it, the more it might just stay that way.

Moreover, Chloe and Ella were looking through the footage from the simulator before and after it was wiped, until, they found the killer walking away from within a reflective surface. They couldn't see the killers face, but they notice off about his spacesuit. It was different from the 'Red 2 Mars Project.' Meaning, it belonged to someone who originally participated in the 'Red 1 Mars Project.'

With this new lead, Chloe and Michael headed over to Sam Chavez's house, and with the front door locked, Chloe prepares to leave, while Michael breaks the handle and walks right on in. As they look around to what appears to be an empty house, they soon hear a shotgun cock! Forcing Michael to tackle Chloe away from the blast as the shots were being fired at them. Once they made presence as LAPD known, Sam immediately stopped firing, dropped his shotgun and confessed his side of the story. He claimed he didn't kill Judy, but he assumed Anders Brody did.

After discovering the Mars Project was faked for a publicity stunt, Judy told Sam and they agreed to work together in secret in order to find proof and expose Brody's scam to the press. But Sam assumed Judy was too emotionally invested with the project and Brody, and it's what led her to her death. Unfortunately, for Sam, since it was his suit from the 'Red 1 Mars project' and the rug in his living-room being made from sheepskin, all the evidence pointed to him. Just as Sam was about to take the fall for the murder, Mandy suddenly came in with the murder weapon in hand and willingly confessed to stealing Sam's spacesuit and murdering Judy.

Mandy thought Sam and Judy were having an affair because they kept calling and meeting each other in secret and so Mandy killed Judy in a jealous fit of rage. Completely unaware that they were only trying to expose Brody and keep her safe in the process. Once she learned the truth, Mandy explained to Sam how traumatic it was for her when he finally retuned from the first Mars protect and he changed. So much so, it led her to believe that he didn't love her anymore. Nevertheless, Sam assured Mandy that no matter what happens, rather he's on Earth, the Moon, Mars, or even if she's in prison for murder, it will never change the way he's always felt about her. Which once again compared to Chloe's situation with Lucifer.

Afterwards, Michael was in the penthouse, preparing himself for his date with Chloe, only to be interrupted by Maze. Regardless of her own issues with Chloe and Lucifer, Maze knew, she couldn't allow Michael to take advantage of Chloe's feelings for Lucifer by pretending to be him and take the next physical step with her. Which is why she came in to stop it.

Maze: I know what you're about to do and I won't let you. I have my… issues with Lucifer, and yeah, I am kind of pissed at Chloe. But this? No. Kissing me was one thing. Chloe's a good person. She doesn't deserves this.

Michael: You're right. You are right. Chloe is special. Which is why, I've changed my mind. And… I'm pretty sure, Chloe has too, actually. It seems that, uh, she likes this new Lucifer even better than the old one.

Maze: You told her who you really are?

Michael: No. No, but I will, in time. See, I've decided that I am not going to break Lucifer's life. I'm gonna take it.

Still refusing to let Michael go through with his plan, he held Maze into a chokehold until she blacked-out. By the time Michael had dragged the unconscious Maze into the wardrobe and locked her inside, Chloe came in. She waited by the balcony until Michael approached her…

Michael: Good evening.

Chloe: Hi. Do you remember the last we were here?

Michael: Of course.

Chloe: We told each other how we felt. I just hope you know that I meant every word I said. I… I love you, Lucifer. And I still do.

Michael: And I meant it too. I love you, Chloe.

Within that moment, Chloe gently pushed Michael to the edge of the couch, before removing her trench-coat, revealing her Danton Floral Print Shirt by Equipment, along with the bullet necklace, which Michael pretended to recognize and just as they were about to take the next step in their relationship… Chloe suddenly took out her gun and shot Michael in the leg! Revealing she's known all along!

Chloe: Once I shot Lucifer to prove he was the Devil, and now I'm shooting you to prove you're not. (Watches as Michael raises his hand from his leg and shows that he is not bleeding from being vulnerable around her) That's what I thought.

Michael: (Stands up and finally drops his Lucifer accent) How long have you've known?

Chloe: I knew something was off the first time I kissed you. But you always had such good explanations, such good lies. I wanted to believe you. But then, I saw you with Maze. That's when I knew. Lucifer would Never, do that to me. So… who are you?

Michael: I'm Lucifer's brother. Michael. It's nice to meet… (Gets interrupted by Chloe continuing to shoot at him) You know that won't kill me!

Chloe: (Shooting Michael) Yeah, but it makes me feel better.

Michael: (When Chloe finally stops) Okay, okay, okay! I get it. I get it. So what? I guess this means you never really liked the 'new Lucifer.'

Chloe: You're not the only one who can lie, and you are no Lucifer. I don't why you're here, and I don't care, but I do know that I am glad, because you made me realize that all fears that Lucifer had changed were just that. They were fears. What Lucifer and I have is special. It's real and it doesn't matter how many lies you tell me, I will Never lose faith… In me and him.

Michael: Oh, really? No more lies, huh? Well, how about a truth then? You… are a gift from God, Chloe Decker.

Chloe: What does that mean?

Micheal: It means that you were never supposed to exist. Father made you for Lucifer. You were put here on Earth only for him, to be his little plaything. Now, isn't that special.

Chloe: I don't believe you. It's time for you to go. Get out!

And with that, Michael finally walked out the door, leaving Chloe conflicted by what she was just told. Moreover, Michael was downstairs drinking at the bar until Amenadiel walked up to him…

Amenadiel: You're up late… Michael.

Michael: Let me guess, Joei went ahead and told on me?

Amenadiel: No, she didn't have to.

Michael: Well, in that case, congratulations bro. Used to take you forever to figure out I was playing you.

Amenadiel: You shouldn't have used fear to get inside my head. You shouldn't have done that. it was way too obvious. Does Father know you're here?

Michael: Oh, please, I do what I want.

Amenadiel: Go home, Michael. You don't belong here.

Michael: Well, I could. And when I get there, I could tell Remy it's time to come back, cause you know who else doesn't belong here? That's right. Your son, Chucky.

Amenadiel: I'm not afraid of you, Michael. No go home.

Michael: Lucifer's life sucks anyway. The only thing worse is the traffic.

Amenadiel: Oh, I think thou doth protest too much. You see, you pride yourself by exploiting everyone's fears, but we've always known yours. You're terrified Lucifer is better than you. That he'll always be better than you. That he'll always be better that you.

Michael: Please. Our. Bother? The Devil? The, guy that was casted out of Heaven for all eternity?

Amenadiel: Exactly Michael, because despite even that, you know, deep down… He'll always ending up winning.

Michael: We'll see.

The moment he stepped into the crowd, Michael had disappeared. However, Amenadiel knew Michael wasn't done yet, so he needed to retrieve some help. As for the others… Maze woke up and angrily broke free from her cuffs; Linda was sitting at her table, looking at a photograph of her holding a new-born baby from 1994! Joei was in her own loft, looking at an old notepad filled with a list of names and addresses that had been crossed off. Chloe was standing alone on the balcony, staring at the bullet necklace before placing against her lips and still wondering if what Michael said was actually the truth, or simply another lie to affect her relationship with Lucifer.

Down in Hell, Lucifer wondering the corridors until he received a surprise visit from Amenadiel.

Lucifer: Brother. What are you doing here?

Amenadiel: It's time Luci. You need to come back.

Lucifer: Why? What's happened.

Sorry for the long wait. Hope you've enjoyed though, see ya next time.
