To say Vault is very unhappy right now would be underselling the rage he is in. Recently, he and the Black Dogs have to relocate to the barren wasteland known as the Cunning Emptiness thanks to Superman and Chloe destroying their last main base. The Cunning Emptiness is an empty desert with no wildlife at all

"What do you mean we can't take Windermere?!" Vault shouted at Hicks, who is the mage specialist of the Black Dogs

Hicks pushed the bridge of his glasses and tries to compose himself, "We can't take the village sir. It is under the protection of Superman and Olga and both of them are staying there. Not only that, the kingdom is working with Superman now to stop us. We don't have the manpower or the resources to take them on if we go after them or if they come after us." Vault looks at him for a moment then sighs

As much Vault hated to admit, Hicks is right. After Superman started taking down his bases and outposts, Vault lose many men and a lot of resources. Not only that, Superman exposed the people that was secretly working with Vault. Causing them to be arrested and Vault losing funding for his cause. The Black Dogs is losing members every day as they were afraid to face Superman in battle and they were also afraid to fight the two dark elves and the Seven Princess Knights as they were the finest fighters in the kingdom. The Black Dogs ain't doing so good

"Sorry for lashing out on you, Hicks. It's just that I'm under a lot of stress right now," Vault said as he managed to calm himself and slumped down in his seat

"All is forgiven and I understand what you are going through," Hicks said in a sympathetic tone, "But we, need a plan and fast. They can be on u s any minute now."

Vault put his hand on his chin. He is in deep thought. They were running out of plans. It doesn't matter how many soldiers or how many corrupt politicians they bribed to their side as Superman defeated them or found a way to expose them. He seems to be out of plans. He uses them all except for one. That it. He was saving this plan in case if he was out of options and backed into a corner, but since he doesn't many options or plans...he going through with this one. A maniacal grin spread across his face

Hicks noticed the grin on his leader's face and he knows what that means, "Vault..you aren't going really that monster out?"

"What other choice do we have? It either this or surrender and be executed on the spot!" Vault said loudly. Hicks tried to think of any other plan that will work. After a couple of seconds of thinking, he couldn't come up with another plan. However, Hicks is still unsure about this plan as everyone on the planet knows this monster is very dangerous and can't be tamed.

Hicks gulped in nervousness. It is a huge gamble, but he hoped this gamble is worth it in the end, "When should be unleashed the basilisk?"

Vault looks at him with a maniacal look, "Now."

With Olga, Windermere, 12:00 P.M.

Windermere is a big village with a population of 2,022 residents. It's just an ordinary village that is far away from the Capital

In a hut, Olga is sitting by the fireplace. Reading a book about magic spells. She and Superman have been staying in this village ever since they found it was under attack by the Black Dogs. The village welcomes them with open arms. Well, Superman only as he was not a dark elf like she was. The village didn't say anything to her as they know Superman won't tolerate it, but they have given her nasty looks and said stuff about her behind her back. She didn't mind it as she was used to it. Olga and Superman have been staying at the same hut for the last couple of days.

During the last couple of days. Superman and Olga have grown closer to each other and Olga couldn't believe this, but she become somewhat fond of the Man of Steel. Not that she would admit it or anything, but she can't deny it.

She snapped out of her thoughts when Superman come into the room

"Afternoon, Kal-El," Olga said in a polite tone not taking her eyes off her book

"Nice to see you too, Olga," Superman said, "What have you been up to?"

"Reading about this book about magic spells. I'm trying to extend my knowledge to put an end to this rebellion. You?"

"Just the usual. Took out a lot of bases and outposts and have another meeting with Celestine," Once he mentioned that name Olga stopped reading and slightly shakes in rage. Superman realizes who name he said and he feels guilty

"Sorry for mentioning that name," Superman said in an apologetic tone

Olga said nothing and went back to reading

Superman knows that she and Celestine have some history with each other and both of them have ended on bad terms with each other. Olga and Celestine may not have told anything about each other but he knows from the rumors and the way they reacted when he mention either one of them in the conservation. Superman is curious about their story, but he is torn if he wants to ask Olga as he knows the dark elf queen has quite the temper on her

"Olga," Superman catches Olga's attention, "Look, I know it not my business to ask, but what happened between you and Celestine? You don't have to tell me, but I feel if you got-"

"Celestine and I used to lead a team," Olga cuts Superman off. The dark elf looks at Superman with a stoic expression, but Superman can tell there was hurt in her eyes, "She and I used to be sisters in all but blood. We used to tell each other everything and can trust each other on the battlefield. However, that didn't last long as our differences were becoming too great. It causes us to argue for hours and hours. The next thing, I know we're at war with each other. The war was devasting and caused me to lose most of my people." Once she was done, tears were threatened to fall out of her eyes. Superman felt bad and pulled her into a hug

"It's alright. Let it all out," Superman said in a gentle tone of voice. Olga tried not to cry, but she couldn't stop herself as she starts to sob. The two stay in the hut for the rest of the day as Superman comfort her to the best he can
