Pokémon and Ponies

#67-Dynamax Mayhem

A crisis is occurring.

Across Equestria, many Dynamax dens that were hidden in secluded areas have finally gone off. And the unfortunate Pokemon who come across them are forcefully Dynamaxed under Eternatus's influence.

However, this crisis is what brought the appearance of the Disaster Pokemon, Absol. With Absol's presence here, it was guaranteed that something like this would happen.

Standing atop a hill, Absol gazed over Lapras Lake, where he first sighted a Dynamax power spot due to the tall red pillars of light they exhibit. He saw the lake covered in foam with bubbles popping and flowing across the water. But this wasn't a naturally beautiful sight.

This was the cause of Gigantamax Kingler. A Pokemon who had previously been Dynamaxed and went on a rampage out of confusion underwater. Many Water Pokemon were caught by the move G-Max Foam burst including Ponyville's Night Watch. Jade Skies and Cold Colt.

Just like the Water-Type Pokemon in Lapras Lake, their current status is unknown. The last thing they saw was G-Max Foam Burst coming right at them. And that was it.

Absol looked over at the distance, spotting another Dynamax pillar rising in the distance over at the North. He knew that he was too late for Kingler since it had already been affected. But if he hurries, he could prevent other Pokemon from reaching the power spot.

So the Disaster Pokemon hopped off the hill, dashing like the wind as he made haste to prevent this crisis from spreading.

Ponyville, morning.

It was yet another beautiful day in Ponyville like always. Or at least, in terms of the vibrant sun beaming down on the town. As for everything else, once the ponies woke up, the first thing that caught their attention was the red pillar of light coming from Lapras Lake. It was impossible to ignore.

"What's that?" Derpy wondered.

"Maybe somepony's putting on a light show? A bit too early though." Amethyst theorized.

They went on about what the red light could be with their own assumptions and theories. However, Pinkie Pie, Applejack and Rarity felt like they recognized that familiar red glow.

"Do those colours remind you of the Dynamax colours?" Rarity squinted her eyes.

"Same shade of red too." Pinkie nodded.

"Yeah, but we didn't see any red pillars popping up with a Dynamaxed Pokemon." Applejack shook her head. "How long do you think it's been there?"

"Who knows? Oh, but Jade and Cold do!" Pinkie shot up. "Where are they anyway?" She looked around, searching for Jade and Cold. But there was no sign of them. "Jade hasn't returned to SugarCube Corner yet, actually."

"Neither has Cold. He ain't at Sweet Apple Acres right now. Or at all." said Applejack.

"You don't think..." Rarity paused for a moment, thinking of where the two of them could be. She looked over at her two friends as they looked back at her.

The trio froze for a moment as their brains were processing the same thought. They all simultaneously turned their heads towards the red pillar of light and came to the same conclusion.

"Oh no." Pinkie's neck strained as her pupils dilated. Her, Applejack and Rarity believed that the red pillar could have something to do with Jade and Cold not being present at the moment.

Out of everypony here staring at the light, the three of them were the only ones who decided to explore it up close. Or rather, see if their friends are alright.

Once they arrived at Lapras Lake, they had graced their eyes on both the Dynamax pillar and the foam generated from Kingler's last attack. Although, they weren't aware that this foam came from an attack at all.

The lake was silent and quiet with not a single Pokemon in sight. Not even on land. The only sound the three of them could hear was the energy of the Dynamax lights and nothing else.

"It's coming from the water. You think they went down there?" Applejack got closer to the water, peering her head over.

"If they did, it's way too early to go for a swim." Pinkie replied.

"I don't think they went for a swim, Pinkie Pie. Look." Rarity used her magic to pick a familiar item. That item being the binoculars that Jade had on her last night. They had washed up on the shore with foamy bubbles around them. The foam had ruined the binoculars as they were partially melted.

"Jade's binoculars!" Pinkie rushed off as she witnessed the half-ruined binoculars. "Oh no, no, no, no." PInkie was fearing the worst as she shook her head violently. From how it looked, Pinkie feared that something horrible must've happened to Jade.

Rarity could see that Pinkie Pie was about to break into tears, but she wasn't about to let that happen since there was something they could do. "Pinkie!" Rarity shoved her hoof in Pinkie's mouth. "Now is not the time to jump to conclusions. There is a way we can work around this!"

"T-There is?"

"Right. Do you have any of your Slurpuff's on you?"

"Mhm." Pinkie nodded gently.

"Good. Use your Slurpuff's sensitive nose to track them down. If the binoculars are here, then Jade must be somewhere close."

"Alright." Pinkie held back her tears as she sent one of her many Slurpuff's out to search for their friends.

"Slurpuff!"

"Slurpuff! Please use your nose to track down Jade and Cold." Pinkie Pie pleaded.

"Slur!" Understanding her trainer's desperation and worry, Slurpuff got to work. By using its sensitive nose, Slurpuff was already picking up a trace of Jade and Cold as the Meringue Pokemon made its way towards the water. That's all the distance it needed to go as it suddenly stopped walking. "Puff! Slur!" The Meringue Pokemon pointed its stubby arms at the water.

"So they really are underwater." Rarity said. "Oh, I hope they haven't drowned!" She gasped.

"I know somepony who's resistant to water. Grovyle." Applejack turned to her partner. "Grovyle. We're heading down there together.

"Gro!" The Wood Geck Pokemon nodded in understanding as he shot his head to the water.

"I know you haven't really done much but..." Rarity reached into her saddlebag, taking out a Rarityball. "But we need your help. Feebas!" She sent out the Fish Pokemon, Feebas

"Fee..."

"Before we enter, aside from Feebas, we'll all need something to breathe underwater. Luckily, Twilight's practical magic proved to be useful." Rarity used her magic to perform the same spell Cold and Twilight used to breathe underwater for 20 minutes. "Good luck."

Each of them was more than ready to submerge themselves underwater to find the duo and see if they were alright and well. By immersing themselves in the lake, the trio could see that the number of Water-Type Pokemon was practically non-existent.

The sea wasn't in its usual lively state anymore. Not since Kingler attacked. In fact, Kingler was the only Pokemon currently residing in the sea at this point.

Speaking of Kingler, the cries of the Pincer Pokemon could be heard as the sound waves echoed throughout the sea, causing tremors that almost reached the surface.

"Not a single Water Pokemon here." Rarity commented.

"Just like on land. Where'd they all go?" Applejack wondered.

"Grovyle?"

"Slur. Slurpuff." Slurpuff picked up on a brand new scent. That being the scent of Kingler and its foam. The scent was so strong that it blocked out Jade and Cold's scent completely, making it hard for Slurpuff to continue tracking them down. "Slur."

"Found anything yet, Slurpuff?" Pinkie asked.

"Slur." She shook her head.

"Feebas." Feebas was just as lost as Slurpuff and Grovyle. Despite being a Water-Type, this lake was unnerving to the Fish Pokemon. Before Kingler, Lapras Lake was a peaceful and beautiful area. But not any more thanks to Dynamax.

But even with all that faith, finding them was proving to be a challenge. At this point, it looked like Jade and Cold weren't even here at all. But Slurpuff could still feel a tiny bit of their scent. It was faint but even with the overpowering aroma of the foam, the Meringue Pokemon hadn't lost them yet.

Their venturing continued until they came across the one area that they most likely shouldn't have come across. From the corner of Grovyle's eye, he had spotted something unusual. A large shadow could be seen around the corner, along with a red glow. This glow came with a very furious sound.

The sound of Kingler that is. The Gigantamaxed Pincer Pokemon had come out of the corner, smashing its large pincer of the corner as it crumbled into nothing.

Finally, They had all seen the Gigantamaxed Pokemon with their own eyes. Its imposing figure complimented by its large left pincer and red aura was striking to the eys.

"So it is Dynamax?!" Rarity gasped.

"Dynamaxed Kingler?!" Pinkie took her dex out which was thankfully waterproof.

"Kingler. The Pincer Pokemon. Gigantamax Form. The flow of Gigantamax energy has spurred this Pokémon's left pincer to grow to an enormous size. That claw can pulverize anything. The bubbles it spews out are strongly alkaline. Any opponents hit by them will have their bodies quickly melted away."

"Wait...then does that mean..." Pinkie thought for a moment. She saw the bubbles on the binoculars earlier. This made her heart sink as she now believed that Jade and Cold might've met a gruesome end.

"KINGLER!" Still enraged and confused, Kingler's rampage continued as it spotted the trio of Pokemon that stood before it. Now they were its next targets as it swung its massive pincer towards them.

"Grovyle, Dragon Breath!" Applejack commanded.

"Gro!" Grovyle grabbed Slurpuff and Feebas as he swam down with them, avoiding the pincer as it caused mighty ripples and shockwaves in the water. "Gro...vyle!" The Wood Gecko Pokemon attacked back by using Dragon Breath.

A blast of blue and purple flames came out of his mouth as it went straight for KIngler. Dragon Breath may be a strong move, but against a Gigantamaxed Pokemon, it was unfortunately not enough as a tiny explosion happened in front of Kingler's face as he was slightly phased by it.

However, one extra part of the Dragon-Type move was that it has a chance of paralyzing. And that's with it did. Dragon Breath had paralyzed Kingler, slowing the Pincer Pokemon down. As if it wasn't slow enough already in its currently gigantic form.

"GLER!" Kingler, obviously now more enraged than ever, began swinging its pincer violently at Grovyle and the others whilst the Wood Gecko Pokemon held his friends close to him.

With how ferociously Kingler was attacking them, the group found it challenging to find time to pause and relax. They had to continue evading Kingler's humongous pincer whilst the spell slowly runs out of time. And if they tried to escape, Kingler was too big to avoid.

Back at Ponyville, everypony was still looking right at the pillar. It was hard not to due to how visible and out of place it was compared to everything else.

Some ponies, however, haven't woken up yet. One of them being Twilight. Although, eventually, she did wake up from her slumber. She only slept a bit longer ever since last night when she first saw Absol. Seeing the Disaster Pokemon meant a disaster would come. And indeed, a disaster was coming. But it was more a crisis.

Twilight had finally woken up, stretching her hooves as her Pokemon were all looking outside of the window along with Starlight, Spike, Nyx, Cocoa and Rosestar. They all woke up much earlier than her like most of the ponies here, they had already seen the Dynamax pillar.

"Mrrgh..." Twilight rubbed her eye. "What's everypony staring at?"

"That." Cocoa pointed her hoof over at the Dynamax lights.

Once Twilight joined her friends over at the window, she was the next citizen of Ponyville to see the power spot pillars beaming through the sky.

"A pillar of light?" Twilight narrowed her eyes. "Where did that come from?"

"No clue." Rosestar shook her head. "But it's been like that for a while now. Hasn't even moved or flashed at all."

"It's not any light I recognize," said Nyx. "Unless it's another spell exclusive to only this universe."

"What do you think, Twilight? Got any clues?" Spike asked.

"Hmm..." Twilight examined the pillar for a moment. From all the books she's read so far about Pokemon, she has yet to discover something like this. Although, seeing it made her recall something from a while back. "Spike...Does that red remind you of something?"

"Like what?"

"The way that red looks. It kind of reminds me of Dynamax a little bit."

"Oh yeah." Spike nodded. "It does have that same colouring."

"Dynamax?" Nyx turned to Twilight.

"Ah, it's just another phenomenon from the Pokemon World. They have a few. Dynamax is a temporary transformation that affects Pokémon, enlarging its size. That's all I know about it for now."

"Hm. So is that what the red light is?" Cocoa tilted her head.

"Not sure. This is my first time seeing something like this. When we saw Dynamaxed Pokemon, it was with Pikachu, Charizard, Gyarados, Drednaw and Duraludon. They all had the same red glow around them with these weird red clouds."

"...Did you say red clouds?" Nyx replied.

"That's right." Twilight nodded.

"Then in that case...you might want to take a closer look." Nyx grabbed everypony's attention by showing them what was occurring in the sky.

The clouds were starting to move, revealing the unexpected to Twilight. At first, she believed it was a coincidence that the colouring was similar to Dynamax. But once the clouds moved away and showed the full height of the pillar, her jaw dropped in shock

Indeed, it had the same red clouds as Dynamax. And once Spike saw this as well, his reaction was similar to Twilight's. Although Twilight's was on the more extreme side.

"That's Dynamax..." She said under her breath. Seeing this made the young alicorn conclude. If Absol appeared last night and there was a Dynamax pillar right here in Equestria, then the disaster has already arrived. "Oh, this is not good. This is not good at all!"

"It's not?" Cocoa scratched her mane.

"I remember what Sonia told us! Something about the Darkest Day." Twilight backed up. "How one day a great black storm covered the Galar Region and the land was assaulted by gigantic Pokemon. The same thing could be happening now!"

"I don't see any great black storms." Starlight moved her head about. It was a clear and sunny day even with the Dynamax pillar.

"Probably not for long! If Absol predicts that a disaster is coming, then it's bound to happen!" Twilight spread her wings as she was ready to leave and investigate the Dynamax pillar.

"Who's Absol?" Rosestar questioned.

"A Pokemon that can foretell disasters. I met one last night in Ponyville. And that's not a good sign at all!"

"Twilight. Remember the last time you thought a disaster was about to happen. It just ended up-" Spike was about to finish his sentence when Twilight interrupted him.

"This isn't like before Spike!" She spoke up. "An actual disaster is coming! Come on! We're going to investigate!"

"She sounds serious..." Cocoa whispered to Rosestar as she nodded in agreement.

Twilight didn't have time to sit around wondering and panicking. She could already tell that this single Dynamax pillar could lead to something horrible.

Up in the sky of Cloudsdale, the pegasi weren't strangers to it as well. They were the ones who had seen the Dynamax lights first along with the red clouds circling them. It had even woken some of them up from their peaceful sleep. Which was a shame. The rain from last night was soothing and it had been ruined.

Rainbow Dash recognized the clouds and light to be Dynamax as well. Although, her reaction to it was on the more defensive side. She had no idea what Dynamax power spots actually did just like everypony else in Ponyville. She didn't know if they were dangerous or not.

All she remembers is what Sonia told her about the Darkest Day and the four Dynamax battles she got the pleasure of witnessing. For now, she simply stayed indoors, looking outside of her window at the pillar. But she was curious about the possibility of seeing another Dynamaxed Pokemon. Perhaps even a Gigantamaxed one.

Back at Lapras Lake, the struggle against Kingler continues. All this evading was tiring the group out. They couldn't keep it up for much longer. Meanwhile, Kingler looked like it hadn't even broken a sweat yet. But then again, it's in a fit of rage and confused still.

"This is taking forever!" Applejack ducked as Kingler clipped her tail with a single strand coming off.

"Doesn't Dynamax eventually run out?! Why is it still in this state?!" Rarity screamed as she was almost hit by Kingler's pincer.

All the while, Pinkie Pie was still thinking about the possibility of Jade being melted away by Kingler. She couldn't stop thinking about those horrible thoughts as Grovyle was the one to hold her and keep her from getting hit by the Pincer Pokemon.

"KING! KINGLER!" Kingler's rage was only getting worse due to all the evading the others were doing. Even with the paralyzed effect from Dragon Breath, Kingler could still move a lot. It had decided to put an end to this feud once and for all. And the only way to do that was with its widespread move.

G-MAX Foam Burst. By opening its left pincer, a blast of foamy water formed inside of the Pincer Pokemon's claw, building up the biggest one yet.

Applejack gasped, knowing that Kingler was about to hit them with a disgustingly powerful move from how the attack was charging up. "Up! Swim-up!" She warned the others who had also taken notice of the build-up.

They all swam up with Grovyle holding on to Applejack. But, Kingler's Foam Burst was fully charged and the surface wasn't close enough. The Pincer Pokemon sent a blast of foam in their direction as it yet again covered the entire area with no room to escape.

It looked like they as well would share the same fate as the others from last night as they turned around, seeing nothing but foam in front of them. However, something came dashing in at high-speeds, tearing through the water itself.

Before they could all gasp, their bodies had been grabbed by three fast-moving entities. They were so fast to the point where they were capable of avoiding G-Max Foam Burst as the attack had finally missed its target. But, Kingler thought it connected since its prey was nowhere to be found at all, believing them to have melted into nothing.

"KINGLER!"

In truth, Applejack and the others had been saved by some Pokemon. Not just any Pokemon. But Sharpedo's. Three of the Brutal Pokemon had grabbed onto them with their sharp teeth, which weren't actually harming them this time since, like most Pokemon, Sharpedo can control how dangerous and lethal their teeth can be. Applejack and the others were surprised that Sharpedo's teeth weren't causing any damage and that they had saved them considering how they constantly attack others who are nearby.

"Shar!" All three of the Brutal Pokemon swam through Lapras Lake at top-speeds, leaving the area and entering a nearby area with a similar layout to Lapras Lake.

That being Bidoof Beach. The Water-Types returned the ponies and other Pokemon to the surface of Bidoof Beach, giving them time to finally relax as the spell was still active.

"T-T-Thanks, Sharpedo." Applejack was breathing in and out after seeing G-Max Foam Burst.

"Vyle." Grovyle shook the water off his body along with Slurpuff and Rarity. They were grateful to Sharpedo for saving their lives and preventing them from being melted into nothing.

However, Pinkie Pie wasn't feeling the same way as her friends. She was still thinking about Jade and Cold and how they could've possibly been melted from Kingler's foam. The thought of it was enough to make her break into tears and cry uncontrollably.

But she wouldn't have to cry at all. Because at the corner of her eye, Pinkie Pie noticed some familiar figures along with Applejack and Rarity.

Near the rocks of Bidoof Beach, the two ponies they were searching for had finally been found. Jade and Cold were alright along with the other Water Pokemon.

Their bodies were still healthy without any signs of there being any foamy bubbles. The same can be said for the Water-Types. Not a scratch on them.

"Jade! Cold! You're both okay!" Pinkie Pie dashed over, hugging the two of them as she did end up breaking into tears anyways. But they were tears of joy thankfully.

"Phew! That's a relief." Applejack wiped the sweat off her forehead. "Ya'll doing well?"

"Great." Cold responded by nodding his head.

"I thought Kingler got you with all that foam that can melt stuff!" Pinkie exclaimed.

"It almost did," Jade replied. "But luckily, we were saved. By Frillish and Lapras over there. They used Protect and Light Screen at the last moment to protect all the Water Pokemon here. So the foam wasn't a problem at all."

"Lapras!"

"Frillish..."

"I see. Well, I didn't except the Sharpedo's to assist us. Usually, when somepony comes by this lake, they're already on the hunt for us." Rarity looked over at the Brutal Pokemon.

"Sharpedo!"

"But now we have a problem." Jade stood up. "We're facing a bit of a Dynamax crisis right now."

"A Dynamax Crisis?" The trio said.

"Yeah. When we were brought to Bidoof Beach by Lapras, we ended up seeing another Dynamax power spot in the near distance. In fact, there's a bunch of them. Take a look." Cold pointed his hoof over at the East. A single power spot could be seen as it was only covered by a weak mist.

The weak mist was also covering more Dynamax power spots as some were harder to see due to how far away they were. It wasn't just the East. North, South and West areas had their own Dynamax pillars. Some of which were purple.

"H-How are there so many...?" Pinkie's jaw dropped.

"Not a clue." Cold shook his head. "But they're there alright. And if Kingler was anything to go by, then any other Pokemon that Dynamaxes is a problem for all of Equestria."

"He's right about that." Rarity nodded. "After all, our world isn't built for Pokemon. At least...not yet anyway. So if there are multiple Dynamax Pokemon running around..."

"They'll flatten Equestria!" Applejack replied as she shot up. "We gotta warn Twilight and the others! They should've noticed this by now! Kingler might come up from the lake too!"

"What about everywhere else in Equestria? Dodge Junction might have a Dynamax pillar there as well." Rarity questioned.

"We'll just...warn Twilight first. And then we'll all head out like we usually do! Cold. Get home now, alright?" Applejack ordered. "And make sure everypony stays inside and doesn't come out."

"S-Sure!"

Speaking of everywhere else, it was only a matter of time until there were other Pokemon who had been Dynamaxed thanks to Eternatus's influence.

Over at the Crystal Empire, the citizens there were still looking over at their own Dynamax pillar. It has been here since night and has yet to really dazzle them. For a brief moment, it had become a tourist attraction. Although, not one they're allowed to go near due to Shining Armor's orders.

"It's not harming anypony. So it might just be there for show." Shining Armor commented as he stood on the balcony with Cadence who had Flurry Heart on her back along with Manaphy.

"Seems that way. I thought it would be harmful to the eyes. But it is a bit pleasing to look at." Cadence replied.

As of now, the Dynamax pillar was deemed safe but there was still no permission to go near them whatsoever. And if it stayed that way without doing anything, then the Crystal Empire would deem it apart of the empire and a nice sightseeing view.

But that didn't last at all. Over at the Dynamax den, one of the many Pokemon that inhabit the Crystal Empire, Sableye, had come across the power spot after searching for some sweet delicious crystals.

"Sable?" The Darkness Pokemon, out of pure curiosity, decided to check out the Dynamax den. Since it had a hole where the pillar of light came from, it assumed that it would find some gemstones down there since they're usually found underground.

However, once the Dark-Ghost-Type got close, its foot made contact with the power spot. And that one single collision is all that it took for Sableye to feel Eternatus's energy build-up from within it.

"Sable? Sableye?!" Sableye felt its body growing in size all of a sudden without any control of its body. It was losing its balance due to the constant growing as its feet dug through the ground due to how sharp they were.

It didn't take long for the Crystal Empire to notice the clouds turning red along with the sky gaining a darker tint to it. Their view of the pillar had changed to focus on the sky itself.

But even that view changed once Sableye had grown to an outstanding 400m. Not close to the level of Kingler's 430m, but still huge nonetheless.

"SABLEYE...!" Just like Kingler and every other Pokemon out there, Sableye was enraged and confused thanks to the influence of Eternatus. But the citizens didn't know that. Their response to this suddenly massive Sableye was a mixture of worry, confusion and awe as they started to chatter on why there was a giant Sableye in the distance.

"What's up with that Sableye?!" A pony gasped.

"Maybe it's their mom? Pretty huge though." Another pony squinted their eyes.

"You'd think we would've noticed a while ago, if that's the case." A smaller pony said.

Whilst they all chatter about the giant Sableye, Shining Armor, Cadence and the guards were put on high alert. And for good reason. Cadence's Sylveon had read the Darkness Pokemon's current emotion and from the way Sableye was standing around, it looked like at any moment, it would go berserk.

"Sylveon!" The Intertwining Pokemon nudged Cadence's hoof, warning her about Sableye's potential rampage.

"What's wrong, Sylveon?!" Cadence turned to her. Unfortunately, Sableye's rampage had already begun thanks to the rapidly growing rate of Eternatus's energy.

"EYE! SABLEYE!" The Darkness Pokemon took a single step, shaking the entire ground as it made its way towards the Crystal Empire. It may have no control over its body, but its hunger for crystals was still there.

Now the Crystal Empire had a Dynamaxed Sableye to deal with.

As for everywhere else, Manehattan was given the introduction of a Dynamaxed Lopunny, Dodge Junction, A Dynamaxed Wooloo, Trottingham, a Dynamaxed Corvisquire, Appleloosa, a Dynamaxed Nidoking and so on.

Not everywhere in Equestria had been affected. One of them being Canterlot which had no nearby Dynamax power spots. But, that didn't mean they couldn't be seen from afar.

Celestia used her telescope to look in the distance, spotting red and purple pillars of light scattered everywhere. Like everypony, she was curious as to what those lights were.

The Dynamax Crisis had finally come into fruition as multiple Dynamaxed Pokemon towered over their respective areas, full of nothing but rage due to the uncontrollable energy within them, courtesy of Eternatus.

But, despite all of this, Absol was still determined to stop this crisis. He was already too late with the Crystal Empire and the others. But that didn't stop him whatsoever. His horn sensed another power spot coming from the Pikachu Highlands and Deerling Forest. The Disaster Pokemon was off to reach those two areas, in hopes of preventing any other Pokemon from reaching there as the journey continues.

Ponyville, one of the many areas across Equestria with a Dynamax crisis ongoing.

Twilight had arrived at Lapras Lake to see the Dynamax power spot for herself, along with Spike, Starlight, Nyx, Cocoa and Rosestar. After learning that this was, in fact, a Dynamax pillar, the young alicorn was put high-alert.

"There it is," Twilight spoke as she looked over at the lake which had the pillar underwater.

"So...where's the Dynamaxed Pokemon?" Cocoa navigated her head around Lapras Lake.

"From where the light's coming from, most likely underwater." Twilight placed her hoof in the water. "But Lapras Lake isn't that deep. So if a Pokemon were to Dynamax, we would've noticed it by now."

"Maybe a Pokemon hasn't Dynamaxed yet." Spike shrugged. "Besides, there's no great black storm in the sky at all."

"Spike's right." Starlight replied. "I mean, the afternoon's just around the corner and everything still looks bright and sunny. I mean, how big is a Dynamax Pokemon even supposed to be?"

"The smaller ones are as tall as castles and the bigger ones are mountain-sized." Twilight moved her hoof away from the water as she felt some foam get on her. "Ow." She looked at her hoof, seeing how the foam gave her a slight sting. Which normally, foam can't do that.

But that was just the result of Kingler's G-Max Foam Burst filling the lake. And speaking of Kingler, the Pincer Pokemon being the only Water-Type in Lapras Lake right now had finally ended up reaching the higher levels of the lake due to its endless rampage.

Twilight could see a shadow forming in the lake. A shadow replicating that of Kingler but much wider. She backed up as she already knew something huge was emerging from underwater and her Pokemon felt the same way as well.

After hours of rampaging, Kingler had finally reached the surface as the first thing that came out was its gigantic pincer, splashing most of the water onto the land and even getting the ponies wet.

Their jaws dropped as they had finally seen the Gigantamaxed Pokemon for themselves.

The red aura, mysterious clouds and overwhelming size fit the description of Gigantamax to a T. Twilight could safely confirm that a Pokemon did end up making contact with the power spot.

Although, things weren't exactly safe at the moment.

"KINGLER!"

"Oh my..." Cocoa shuddered as she moved back. "I-Is that a Dynamax Pokemon?"

"Yes! Yes, it is!" Twilight nodded aggressively as she hid behind her Ninetales.

It didn't take long for Ponyville to see the Gigantamax Kingler as well. Its towering size cast its dark shadow over Lapras Lake, Saddle Lake and the Everfree Forest. Although most of it came from its left pincer.

"Wh-What do we do?! We've never gone up against a Pokemon this large!" Starlight was starting to panic.

"There's only one way to stop a Gigantamax Pokemon. With a battle of course." Twilight swallowed her fears as she and Spike were ready to take on Kingler since they have some experience with Dynamax. "Spike!"

"Oh! Right!" Spike shot up as he dug into his bag. "Where is it, where is it...Ah! Here it is!" He grabbed a Poke Ball, sending out his partner Pokemon Salamence.

"Sala!"

"You three stay back! Dynamax Pokemon can get a bit destructive!" Twilight warned Nyx, Cocoa and Rosestar. But not Starlight. The trio moved back to let the experts handle this whilst Starlight just looked around, confused.

"Wait, do I have to battle as well?!"

"We could use the help if you want to. Eve! Psybeam!" Twilight commanded as she was the first to take action.

"Esp...eon!" The red gem on Eve's forehead shined and it released a multicoloured beam from it at Kingler. The beam made contact with Kingler's face, causing a tiny purple explosion due to how huge the Pincer Pokemon was.

Whilst doing little damage, Kingler was still phased by the move since it can still feel pain. Out of anger, Kingler targeted Twilight and the others next as it raised its huge left Pincer in the air. "GLER!"

"Salamance! Hyper Beam!" Spike pointed up at Kingler.

"Salamence!" A much stronger move than Psybeam. Salamence opened its mouth as an orange ball appeared in front of its mouth. It then fired a beam of hyper energy from its mouth at the Gigantamaxed Pokemon.

Once hit, Kingler took the most damage out of any attack that had been thrown at it so far. The Hyper Beam was large enough to cover most of its face as the Pincer Pokemon was given an explosion right in front of it.

"KING!" Kingler stumbled back after that devastating attack, feeling a bit perplexed. What didn't help was that it was still paralyzed. After Grovyle used Dragonbreath on it, the effect hadn't left at all.

"Eve! Dazzling Gleam!"

"Salamence! Dragon Tail!"

Twilight's Espeon hopped on Salamence's back as the two made their way towards Kingler with Salamence taking flight. Kingler shook its head recovering after Hyper Beam as it noticed the two Pokemon coming straight at it.

In response, Kingler used Crabhammer with its huge pincer, slamming it towards the duo of Psychic and Dragon. The force of Kingler's pincer moving generated a sound similar to that of a rocket going off as there was a strong wind pressure flowing through the air.

"Mence!" Salamence spun his body around as Eve held on for dear life whilst building up Dazzling Gleam. The Dragon Pokemon managed to avoid Crabhammer by flying to the side. It had the speed advantage over Kingler's huge and slow movements.

Crabhammer hit the ground instead, causing a mini-earthquake that made the ponies lose their balance along with a tremor strong enough to reach Ponyville.

"Esp!" Eve told Salamence to launch her whilst using Dragon Tail. That way, she'll have a harder impact when colliding into Kingler.

"Sala!" Understanding her plan, Salamence tossed the Sun Pokemon off his back, summoning green draconic energy onto his tail.

"Espeon!" Eve had used Dazzling as a rainbow-coloured sphere was created around her body. The Dragon Pokemon swung his tail forward, colliding with the Fairy sphere as he sent his partner rocketing forward towards the opposing Gigantamax Pokemon.

Eve closed her eyes as she braced for impact.

She could feel the wind in her face as a trail of rainbows could be seen high in the sky. The Sun Pokemon crashed into the Pincer Pokemon with full-force, feeling the rebound of the collision as her body was trembling.

But the collision was harder on Kingler who had pulled back, losing its balance and falling on its back. "K-KING?" KINGLER!"

The force of Kingler falling back on the lake was enough to cause a large splash that got water all over the Pincer Pokemon's face. Eve was caught by Salamence who saved her from falling.

"Yes! Great job you two!" Twilight yelled as she and Spike cheered for their partners. "Now, Eve! Use Dazzling Gleam again! But this time from afar!"

"Use Hyper Beam again, Salamence!"

"Espeon!" Instead of charging in like before, Eve went for a distant attack as Rainbow coloured rays of light came from her red gem, shooting at Kingler with a frenzy of rays pelting the Pincer Pokemon.

As if that wasn't enough, Salamence chimed in with an even larger attack that surpassed Dazzling Gleam in power and size.

Hyper Beam came flying out of Salamence's mouth, helping Eve's Dazzling Gleam with their attack as Kingler was being overwhelmed by these two powerful attacks.

"Look at them go!" Cocoa gawked. "When are we going to learn stuff like that, Rosestar?"

"I don't know. But it's impressive that's for sure." Rosestar nodded.

"But look. That Pokemon hasn't been defeated yet." Nyx pointed out how Kingler was still standing after getting hit with such potent moves.

The Gigantamax Kingler stood up, holding its head with its huge pincer, dazed and paralyzed from being overwhelmed. The Pincer Pokemon opened one eye, looking down at Eve, Salamence, Twilight and Spike. Its eyes focused on them for a second, making them all anticipate its next move.

But there wasn't another move incoming. Because that combination of Dazzling Gleam and Hyper Beam was enough as Kingler's eyes rolled back. The Pincer Pokemon had been defeated as its body was shrinking back to its normal size with all the Dynamax particles flying in the air.

"KING...KING...Kingler?" When returning to its original size, a Dynamax Pokemon does not faint. They still retain their consciousness. And the same can be said for Kingler who was looking around its surrounding area, confused. But at least, it was no longer in a fit of rage now. Eternatus's influence left its body once it was defeated.

As such, Kingler just got on with its day, unsure of what happened before as it walked off. "Kingler."

"Phew." Twilight let out a sigh of relief. "Disaster averted. Nice work, Eve."

"Espeon." Eve hopped off Salamence's back as the Dragon Pokemon returned to Spike.

"Great job, Salamence." Spike grabbed Salamence's face.

"Mence!"

"That's it? Hm. That wasn't too bad." Starlight chuckled nervously. "I was expecting the worst to happen."

"And here I thought a crisis was about to occur." Nyx was about to leave until the voice of somepony else had grabbed her attention.

"There's a crisis going on!" Pinkie Pie's voice shouted out as she, Rarity and Applejack arrived for Twilight specifically. "All over Equestria! Huge Pokemon! King- Oh. Kingler's not here anymore. I thought we saw it from the distance."

"We took it out. Just the two of us." Spike grinned as he felt proud of his victory.

"Wait, Pinkie Pie. Say that again. Before Kingler." Twilight went up to her.

"Oh, right. Ahem. So like, there's a bunch of Dynamaxed Pokemon scattered across Equestria and we're not really sure how many there are." Pinkie put her hooves together. "And Kingler's just one of them."

"There could be other Dynamaxed Pokemon terrorizing Equestria as we speak. So we came to you for help." Rarity said.

"I thought this was the only Dynamax power spot here. You mean to tell me there's more?!" Twilight raised her voice.

"Yep." Pinkie nodded.

"Not good." Twilight bit her hoof. "The Darkest Day might as well be real right about now! Where was the next place you saw a power spot?!"

"Uh...the nearest one looks like it's right over at Deerling Forest. The others are a bit further away." Pinkie answered.

"Twilight. Is this really the Darkest Day like Sonia described?" Applejack asked.

"It might as well be. Absol showing up just further proves that. The only thing missing is a great black storm."

"Absol? Isn't that the Pokemon that can predict bad stuff?" Pinkie tilted her head. "I thought those were super rare. You saw one?"

"I sure did. And that is never a good sign if Absol appears. Do Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash know about the Dynamax power spots too?!"

They've most likely seen it as well. And the Kingler being seen by all of Ponyville only grabbed their attention even further." Rarity replied.

"Okay...Here's what we'll do. If there's a bunch of Dynamax Pokemon scattered across Equestria, then we'll have to stop by every area and defeat the Pokemon there. What was the closest area again? Deerling Forest?"

"And after that, it looks like the next one is right over at Dodge Junction." Applejack responded.

"Then it's Deerling Forest first and after that, Dodge Junction. But this time, we're not rushing in blind. We're calling Ash for help." Twilight used her magic to take out her XTransceiver to contact Ash for assistance.

And speaking of Ash, he and Goh were at Cerise's lab like always, planning on heading out to another region for a brand new journey, until Ash's Xtransceiver went off.

"Hm? Twilight's calling?" Ash looked at his transceiver answering the call. "Yeah?"

"Ash! There are Dynamax Pokemon all over Equestria! We need help!" Twilight summarized their problem in a few words.

"Dynamax Pokemon in Equestria?!" Ash gasped.

"Pikachu?!"

"That's not possible." Professor Cerise went up to Ash. "Dynamax only exists in the Galar Region and nowhere else. How could it be in the other world?"

"No idea, Professor Cerise. But it's here. We've just got done defeating a Gigantamax Kingler and were heading out to find the others. We need a lot of help if there are too many."

"Alright. We'll be there. Sorry, Goh. Guess our trip to Sinnoh's gonna be put on hold."

"That's fine. This is more important anyways. Besides...this could be an opportunity to catch some new Pokemon!" Goh exclaimed.

"Okay! Let's go!"

"You two be careful now. Dynamax Pokemon are no joke whatsoever." Cerise shook his head.

"We will! We'll be back soon, Professor Cerise!" Ash and Goh ran off, leaving Cerise Labs in a hurry as Cerise, his assistants and Chloe watched them jet off.

"There's always something dangerous happening in that world, isn't there?" Chloe spoke.

"Well, the other world isn't built for Pokemon. But so far, new areas have been formed thanks to our worlds crossing over. I can safely say that someday, their world will eventually adjust to the Pokemon themselves. Whenever that day arrives."

The Crystal Empire. Currently dealing with a Dynamaxed Sableye who's on an enraged rampage.

The citizens of the Crystal Empire made a run for it, retreating into their homes and whatever nearby building they could enter in as the Darkness Pokemon had set foot in the empire.

"SABLEYE!"

The only ones not screaming in fear and panic were the royal guards and Shining Armor. Although, this sudden arrival of Sableye made Flurry Heart break into tears.

Cadence stayed outside since she had the only Pokemon here that was strong against Sableye. Her Sylveon.

"Sylveon! Use Moonblast!" Cadence commanded.

"Veon!" The Intertwining Pokemon spread its feelers wide open with an image of the moon appears behind her. She then formed an orb of pink energy in front of her mouth, shooting it at the Dynamaxed Pokemon.

Sableye was about to grab somepony's home to devour it completely. However, that was put to a screeching halt by Moonblast hitting the Darkness Pokemon square in the face.

"SABLE!" Sableye held its face after taking a super-effective hit such as that one. The Darkness Pokemon fell on its back, sitting on the ground as everything quaked.

That one single Moonblast seemed to be enough to take out Sableye since even if it was Dynamaxed, Sableye was still a fairly fragile Pokemon.

"Nice, work! Use Moonblast one more!"

And again, Sylveon sent Moonblast towards Sableye who was just getting back up.

However, Sableye was a smart Pokemon in which it knew not to fall for the same trick again.

Once the Darkness Pokemon stood up, it used Fury Swipes to claw the Moonblast away, causing the Fairy move to fly off, hitting a nearby building in the process.

"SABLEYE! Now aware that there was an opposing Pokemon attacking it, the Dark-Ghost-Type continued its enraged rampage, now more angered than ever after the first Moonblast.

Sableye had used Fury Swipes on the buildings, destroying parts of them, just to get itself some crystals to devour.

The huge chunks of crystals fell from above, making a loud crashing sound whenever they landed. Luckily, the citizens weren't outside for this.

But unfortunately, somepony's home had been ruined along with the guards who were outside and had almost been crushed by the incoming crystals.

Sableye went on to the next building, destroying parts of it as well as the ponies no longer felt safe inside of their own homes or whatever building there is. All the while, Sableye held some crystals in its hands, devouring them for itself.

"Sylveon! Use Moonblast one more time!"

"Sly..."

"Sable!" Sableye spotted a third Moonblast coming its way. It used the remaining crystals in its hands to toss them directly at Sylveon.

"Veon?!" Sylveon gasped as she saw sharp crystals flying towards her at high speeds. She ducked for cover, but thankfully, Cadence got in the way, using her magic to catch the crystals.

But Sableye had more where that came from.

Instead of using tiny sharp crystals, it switched up by using the huge chunks of crystals it had gathered. The Darkness Pokemon lobbed the chunks as if they were baseballs, going straight for the princess and her Pokemon.

"Ah!" Cadence gasped as she placed a protective barrier around her and Sylveon. The chunks crashed onto the barrier, breaking apart upon contact as it was a successful defensive spell.

Seeing how Cadence's magic was going to be a problem, Sableye decided to get up close and personal instead of attacking from afar. And as a bonus, it'll have the chance to devour the Crystal Heart and the castle as well.

The guards attempted to stop Sableye by tossing their spears at the Darkness Pokemon. But unfortunately, being Dynamaxed makes a Pokemon's body tougher.

And Sableye was already a hard Pokemon due to parts of its body being made out of sharp gemstones. As such, the spears broke upon contact, barely even phasing it.

The guards scattered as they avoided Sableye's footsteps, whilst the Darkness Pokemon gradually approached the castle and the heart.

Everypony looked outside of their windows, seeing nothing but a huge purple figure walking by, shaking the entire empire itself with the sounds of gemstones hitting the ground.

Sableye's shadow loomed over the castle, blocking out Cadence and Sylveon's view of most of the sky as Sableye's red aura lit up the empire once it got close enough.

"SABLEYE..."

"Get ready Sylveon..." Cadence gulped as her Sylveon was prepared to do her very best. The size difference was intimidating, but that wouldn't stop these two from trying.

Shining Armor looked over at Sableye and then right at the Poke Ball that held his Honedge. "Come on, Honedge. Please this one time, help us out."

Wanting his partner to at least cooperate, Shining Armor sent the Sword Pokemon out for assistance.

"Hone!" Once Honedge came out, it immediately went for Shining Armor, ready to possess him once more. But since this has happened so frequently, Shining Armor can predict as he used his magic to hold Honedge in place. "Edge?!"

"Honedge! Now is not the best time! There's something more important at the moment! Look!" Shining Armor moved Honedge to the direction where Sableye was at.

The Sword Pokemon saw how a Dynamaxed Pokemon was all of a sudden just here at the Crystal Empire, enraged, confused and hungry for some crystals.

"Honedge?"

"This Sableye might end up eating the entire Crystal Empire with that size. And we might accidentally get caught up in its buffet. So could you please help us out? Just this one time?"

"Edge!" Honedge asked why it should listen to him. The Crystal Empire isn't that important to the Sword Pokemon at all. So if Sableye destroys the entire empire, it wouldn't care at all.

And Shining Armor knew that. However, there was one way he could convince Honedge to chime in. And it involved Kartana who once came here to the Crystal Empire.

"You know...This could be a perfect time to test your sword skills."

"Hone?"

"Don't you remember how you lost to Kartana? You seemed pretty upset that you lost so badly."

"Edge!" That hit a soft spot in the Sword Pokemon's non-existent heart.

"If Kartana comes back, your skills aren't gonna have any major changes and you'll just end up losing again. Unless you test it out against that thing."

"Honedge!" Honedge wanted to prove Shining Armor wrong. Losing to Kartana was humiliating due to how fast it was. Since Honedge used to be a human who is now possessed by its own sword, it was a great and prideful warrior back in its time.

And being a great warrior meant that it takes its losses very seriously. As such, Honedge's inner human came out as it yearned to improve its skills so that it never loses a battle ever again.

Shining Armor had managed to finally get Honedge to do something and listen to him. "Yes! Finally! Alright, Honedge. Just follow my lead and I'll make sure you cut things real good."

"Honedge!"

Ponyville.

Ash and Goh arrived at Ponyville to meet with Twilight and the others who were already prepared to set off to Deerling Forest to stop this unexpected crisis.

They knew about the situation but had no idea how large it was at the moment. All they knew was that a Dynamaxed Pokemon could level Equestria in a few minutes considering how they're already dangerous enough in their normal states.

Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy joined in as well since they had seen the power spot from the Pokemon House and up in the sky. They all weren't sure what they were getting themselves into since there was more than one Dynamax Pokemon around as opposed to the single Drednaw last year.

Not wasting any time, they made their way towards Deerling Forest by having Ash's Dragonite and Goh's Flygon carry the ones who couldn't fly. The trains were currently blocked off since there were giant Pokemon running around.

But they weren't the only ones headed straight for Deerling Forest. Absol was approaching the location as well. He was determined to get there before any of the Pokemon at the forest interact with the power spot.

To gain a faster momentum, Absol jumped off of hills with gracious speeds, cutting down anything that stood in his way by using Night Slash.

Compared to other Absol's this particular one doesn't just warn others about disasters, but instead, takes action to prevent the disaster from happening. Although, this was far beyond any earthquake or hurricane that all Absol's usually sense.

Absol and the others weren't too close to each other but they were all heading for the same location.

However, with Twilight, she had suddenly gained yet another splitting headache out of nowhere as she held her head whilst flying in the air. She stopped flying, staying in midair as her friends turned to her.

"Ngh!" Twilight winced as she curled up.

"What's wrong, Twilight?!" Rarity gasped.

"It's happening again!" All this pain only made her lower herself to ground level. She got on the ground, holding her head as she was unsure why this pain had suddenly come back.

Her friends came back down with Salamence and Dragonite as they ran over to the young alicorn. Twilight's Pokemon surrounded her, worried about their trainer's sudden outburst of unexpected pain.

"What's happening?! Did something hit her?!" Starlight looked up in the sky.

"This has happened before...!" Twilight groaned as she writhed around in agony, laying on her back. Once again, like last night, she had gained visions of one single thing. That being the Mega Evolution symbol.

But after seeing a vision of that, the pain had simply gone away once more. Twilight breathed in and out as she was glad that the pain had vanished but now she had even more questions on why it showed up yet again.

She stood back up, taking some time to relax. "Why did it happen again?"

"Twilight! Are you okay now?" Pinkie Pie asked. "Does it hurt anywhere else?!" She moved around Twilight, using a magnifying glass to investigate.

"I'm fine now...but I'm not sure about later on."

"Wait. You said that this has happened before." Rarity spoke. "Why is that?"

"About that...Last night, when I was returning Applejack's repaired Xtransciever, a weird pain just started coming to me out of nowhere. It hurt less the first time but it lasted much longer."

"Out of nowhere? How's that possible? Was it an invisible Pokemon?" Fluttershy asked.

"Not sure but, at the same time, I saw Absol show up in Ponyville. And the pain only got worse from there on."

"You saw an Absol?" Ash said.

"Pika?"

"But now it's just gone." Twilight looked at her hoof. "I'm not sure why it happened a second time. And all I keep seeing is the Mega Evolution symbol."

"Sounds pretty weird." Pinkie nodded. "Weirder than usual."

"Whatever it is, I hope it's not frequent." Twilight sighed. "Come on. Deerling Forest isn't too far away from here."

They all continued on their way to Deerling Forest which was only a few miles ahead. Twilight's unknown pain hadn't come back up, but she knew that it might reappear once more without any warning. Ninetales put his tails over Twilight, giving her a nice shade and comfort.

"Tales."

"Thanks, Ninetales." Twilight smiled.

"Look. We're here." Goh pointed forward, revealing to everypony that they've finally arrived at Deerling Forest. With all the Deerling's present here, none of them have grown due to Dynamax. Neither have the Sawsbuck's.

The Deerling's and Sawsbuck's were just getting on with their day, taking in the nice soothing breeze and drinking some water right next to some of the Water Pokemon.

"It all looks fine and dandy" Applejack moved her head around. "No Dynamax Pokemon here."

"I'm not sure if the Deerling and Sawsbuck's have even noticed the power spot," said Fluttershy.

"Well if they have then they are probably wise enough to know not to go near them whatsoever." Rarity nodded.

"At least we know that-" Twilight's words were cut off when for the third time in a row, she felt that same sharp pain once more. "Ugh! Not now! Not again!" She got on the ground clenching her teeth.

"It's happening again?!" Rainbow Dash gasped.

"Audi! Try using Heal Pulse!" Fluttershy commanded.

"Audino." Audino put her hands out, sending a pulse of pink energy through Twilight in hopes of healing her. However, not even Heal Pulse could stop the pain. "Dino?!"

"I think this is more serious than it looks! M-Maybe you should get back home, Twilight and rest up." Spike uttered.

"No I-" Twilight's pain once again, just stopped abruptly, bringing her back to full health. "Her eyes widened as she stood up, perplexed about all of this. "It's gone again. Why does this keep happening?"

The curiosity of Twilight's unknown and unpredictable pain had now circled the thoughts of all her friends. They've never heard of a pain that just comes out of nowhere and ends in an instant as if nothing happened.

Twilight herself didn't know what to think. She wasn't sure if this unexplained pain was the cause of something she ate or from a past event.

That is until she saw a familiar face once more, right over at the right side of the forest. Twilight turned her head to that side to spot none other than Absol who had also recently arrived at Deerling Forest.

"Absol...?" Twilight spoke as she and Absol once again locked eyes. And the Disaster Pokemon still had his steely gaze on him.

"Oh, so that's Absol!" Goh took out his dex, scanning Absol.

"Is that what it looks like? It's much different than I thought it would look." Rarity commented.

"And it's got pretty scary looking eyes!" Pinkie hid behind Applejack.

"Wait." Twilight thought for a moment, looking over at Absol as she put some pieces together. "The times when I had that unknown pain, Absol was there. The first time when we met and now that it was nearby this entire time..."

"You think your pain might have something to do with Absol?" Ash replied.

"I'm not sure." Twilight shook her head. "Let me try and talk to Absol." The young alicorn went over to the Disaster Pokemon who sharpened his eyes at her. The eyes made Twilight pause for a moment as she saw that Absol wasn't keen on letting her come close.

"Absol...!" The Disaster Pokemon growled at her.

"Esp!" Being the protective Pokemon they were, Eve, Ninetales and Minccy got in front of Twilight, making sure that Absol doesn't plan on attacking her all of a sudden.

"Sol." Absol turned his head, not paying the three of them any mind.

"Fluttershy. Can you talk to it? It's the one who potentially sensed this Dynamax crisis coming up." Twilight asked.

"I'll try." Fluttershy fluttered over towards the Dark-Type. Absol didn't just give Twilight a fierce look, but also Fluttershy, who was hesitant to get closer at first. After swallowing up her fears, she approached Absol, ready to speak to him.

"Absol?"

"Um, Absol. Is it true that you sensed the Dynamax crisis incoming?" Fluttershy asked him. Absol barely gave a response to her. All he really did was nod his head. "Oh, I see. Then are you here to help stop it by any chance?"

"Absol." Absol looked over at the spot where he could sense and see the Dynamanx power spot coming from. He told Fluttershy that he's going across Equestria to stop other Pokemon from interacting with the dens.

Deerling Forest was the one area where none of the Pokemon touched the power spot yet or even got near it.

"That's great! So you're helping stop this crisis from spreading!" Fluttershy grinned, but Absol gave her a knife-like glare, causing the pegasus to hide behind her Audino. "Oh, um! Yay..."

"Absol. I wanted to ask you something." Twilight spoke. "My sudden sharp pains. They only showed up when I first met you and when you were nearby, heading here to Deerling Forest as well. Do you have any idea why that's the case?"

"Sol. Absol."

"Absol says that's he's not sure. But he's been having visions of a strange symbol recently along with less-sharp pains that barely hurt him." Fluttershy translated.

"I saw the visions too!" Twilight pointed at herself. "And you've been feeling a sudden pain as well?!"

"So it really is connected." Rarity waked up to the two. "But how come it's between the both of you?"

"Not sure. But right now, I don't feel a thing." Twilight replied. "Maybe it could have something to do with Absol's horn. Perhaps you were trying to warn me, right?"

"Sol." Absol couldn't confirm that he was trying to communicate with Twilight. But he was sure that for whatever reason, he and Twilight suffer the same pain and keep on seeing symbols in their eyes. Absol was a bit weirded out by the young alicorn as he was off to continue his goal of stopping the crisis.

"Absol wait!" Twilight called for his name. "Let us help you!"

"Sol?"

"We all have the same goals as you after all. Maybe we can help stop this crisis together and not just on your own. I mean, I'd imagine it would be difficult to do all of this on your own?" Twilight smiled.

"Abs..." Absol winced back a bit. He had never met a pony like Twilight before. Then again, Twilight was the first-ever pony he met when he passed through the gateway and arrived at Equestria.

For years, Absol has been chased off by those who believe he was the one who brought disasters. As such, very few out there offer to help him. And the ones that do help him are mostly Pokemon.

But seeing how Twilight and her friends who even had humans among them were willing to actually assist Absol in its efforts to stop the crisis was a different kind of experience.

"Sol." By feeling their good-hearted nature and how intoxicating their smiles are, Absol reluctantly accepted their help by looking to the side.

"It's a deal!" Fluttershy flew up.

"Great! Let's do it together, Absol." Twilight put her hoof out. But Absol denied it without putting his paw out as he walked off. "Okay, that's fine. You're not up for that."

With the assistance of Absol who was now a temporary acquaintance, the group continued on their goal to stop the sudden Dynamax Crisis. Deerling Forest was clear and safe since the Deerlings were told by the Sawsbuck's not to go near them whatsoever.

However, other areas in Equestria still have Dynamaxed Pokemon running around with a hefty amount of them. And each one of them could end up destroying everything around them as the journey continues.

The Crystal Empire.

Currently, an enraged and hungry Sableye was attacking with the only two ponies capable of stopping this being Shining Armor and Cadence alongside their Sylveon and Honedge who had finally been convinced by Shining Armor.

The now enraged Sableye aims to demolish Cadence and Sylveon who originally attacked it with Moonblast earlier as the trainer and her Pokemon brace themselves, looking up at the Darkness Pokemon.

"SABLEYE!" Sableye raised its arms, going for a Fury Swipes that could be powerful enough to cut the entire castle into pieces.

"Moonblast, quick!" Cadence commanded.

"Sylveon!" Sylveon attempted to stop Fury Swipes by sending a ball-shaped attack with the power of the moon embedded with it.

However, Sableye cut the attack in half with Fury Swipes, scattering pieces of Moonblast across the empire as they exploded upon contact with buildings that somepony's were still inside of.

The Darkness Pokemon also cut a piece of the castle, chipping it as there was now a large claw mark engraved in it. Large shards of crystals fell from above, almost falling on Cadence and Sylveon as they stabbed through the floor.

Sableye went for another attack, this time in the form of Shadow Claw.

One of Sableye's claws became surrounded by a black aura with a purple outline.

The aura then took the form of a claw as Sableye swung the claw towards the duo, leaving behind light purple trails.

"Honedge! Use Fury Cutter!" Shining Armor's voice suddenly passed through Cadence's ears.

Flying out of the castle windows came the Sword Pokemon Honedge who was finally listening to its trainer, after so long. Honedge flew past Sylveon and Cadence surprising them both as the Sword Pokemon clashed with Sableye's Shadow Claw, saving Cadence and Sylveon in the process.

"Huh? Honedge?!" Cadence gasped as she was surprised to see Honedge of all Pokemon helping her.

"Edge!" The Sword Pokemon and the Darkness Pokemon went back and forth with Fury Cutter and Shadow Claw.

Both Ghost-Types were locked in a clash as the citizens of the Crystal Empire looked up to see them both going at it. Sableye had used its other claw to initiate Shadow Claw as it went in for a double swipe on Honedge.

"Spin around using Fury Cutter!"

The Steel-Ghost-Type managed to fend off both claws by spinning its body around with Fury Cutter, forcing Sableye's Shadow Claws to pull back.

"SABLE?!"

"Honedge!" The Sword Pokemon rushed in, heading straight for Sableye's face. Before Sableye could think of a way to avoid this, Honedge slashed its steel body onto Sableye's gemstone face, letting out a loud clang noise that shattered the glass and crystals of the empire.

Sableye wobbled as it held its face. Honedge's hard body really helped in this situation as the Darkness Pokemon could still feel the impact of the blade.

"Now's your chance, dear!" Shining Armor shouted.

"Oh, right! Moonblast! One last time!"

"Veon!" With one final burst of magic, Sylveon put all of her strength into this Moonblast. The light reflected off the crystals as the Intertwining Pokemon shot it at Sableye.

The force of the shot was enough to even push Sylveon and Cadence back. Honedge moved out of the way for Moonblast as the Fairy-Type move made direct contact with Sableye's already hurt face.

"S-SABLE...EYE!" That final Moonblast seemed to do the trick. Hitting the same spot again was always a good strategy. And now that Sableye had two different moves hit its face, it couldn't take it anymore.

As such, Sableye's Dynamaxed Form was starting to diminish. The citizens of the Crystal Empire watched as the Darkness Pokemon began shrinking down to size, no longer appearing a titan to them all.

Sableye, like all other Dynamax Pokemon, didn't faint, but instead, regained its consciousness whilst also having no memory of what it was doing in the first place.

The Dark-Ghost-Type sat on the ground, back to its normal self. "Sable? Sableye?" Sableye looked around in confusion. It then spotted some of the crystals it had destroyed earlier on the ground as it decided to take some of them for itself.

With Sableye running off with some free food, everypony let out a sigh of relief, glad that the sudden attack was over.

"Phew." Shining Armor lowered his head. "That could've gotten ugly fast. Great work, Honedge!"

"Hone." Honedge finally had a victory against something. Even if Sylveon assisted and dealt the finishing blow.

"Good job, Sylveon." Cadence patted her partner on the head.

"Syl!

"But, I didn't expect Honedge to actually help us. It never cared for us and the empire in the first place. Why is that?" Cadence asked her husband.

"That's easy. I reminded Honedge here that it was lacking in sword skills. After that pretty bad loss to Kartana, it wants to get back to its prime. When it was a great warrior before becoming a sword."

"Edge!"

"So...You two are getting along now?"

"Eeeeehhh...Not really? I'm just helping Honedge improve. I don't think it sees me as its friend."

"Honedge." For once, Honedge agreed with Shining Armor on something.

"Ah... Well anyways, I noticed something when Sableye returned to its normal size." Cadence turned around as the guards were doing cleanup on the Crystal Empire. Over at the distance, the Dynamax power spot was gone."See? That red light. It's no longer there."

"Oh, you're right." Shining Armor's eyes widened. "And Sableye did have a red aura around it too. You think that red light is what grows them?"

"Looks like it. But I'm not sure if it was just the Crystal Empire that has this. Canterlot and beyond might be facing some red lights as well."

"Maybe. But there's no need to worry." Shining Armor wrapped his hoof around her. "Just like us, everypony has a Pokemon that can help them out. I'm sure they'll be fine. But we should probably warn them just in case."

Lapras Lake and the Crystal Empire are the first two areas where the Dynamax Pokemon have been defeated along with the disappearance of Eternatus's energy and the power spots.

Everywhere else is still in the midst of a Dynamax attack. Whether some ponies are capable of defending themselves from these super-sized monsters is something that only they and their partners can decide on.

As for Ash, Twilight and the others who were currently accompanied by Absol, who was tentative about joining up them, were currently headed for the next area which had a Dynamax power spot.

That being Dodge Junction. Currently facing a Wooloo situation. Although, strangely enough, Wooloo was less destructive than Kingler, Sableye or even most of the Dynamax Pokemon here on account of being a very fluffy and soft Pokemon.

In fact, when Wooloo first Dynamaxed, Eternatus's influence hadn't yet fully reached the Sheep Pokemon's head. At the moment, it was just confused.

"WOO?"

The ponies of Dodge Junction weren't intimidated by Wooloo at all. Instead, they found its enlarged form to be adorable.

"Aww...ain't it just adorable?" Cherry Jubilee and other ponies gushed at the Sheep Pokemon. It was too cute to be threatening. And because of that, everypony got on with their day.

At least, that would've been the case. Because it didn't take long for Eternatus's influence to finally get to Wooloo's head. At first, it was confused, but now, like every other Dynamaxed Pokemon, it's just enraged.

Its first action was doing what it does best. Curl up into a ball and roll into anything it sees. And that's what it did. The Wool Pokemon had used the move Double-Edge to power itself up as a golden aura surrounded it.

That's when everypony realized that the cute and cuddly Wooloo was on a rampage now. The speed Wooloo was rolling at thanks to Double-Edge was so fast that it was powerful enough to deal some major damage to the buildings. The time to panic and scream was now as everypony scattered.

Wooloo smashed into a house, almost destroying it in one single hit as the pony inside trembled in fear from this one adorable Pokemon who was beloved and now feared.

Cherry Jubliee hid inside her home, breathing in and out as she heard the sounds of Wooloo smashing into a building, feeling its soft yet trembling impact quake the entirety of Dodge Junction.

Whenever Wooloo crashes into something, it mostly does it more than once instead of a single hit. And it would keep on doing this until the building was destroyed.

But even hitting one building was enough to affect all of Dodge Junction as the windows themselves were shattering bit by bit. Even the roofs looked like they would fall off at any moment.

With all this smashing and somewhat mediocre destruction, it didn't take long for Ash and the others to arrive at Dodge Junction, where their eyes were graced with the sight of a rampaging Wooloo.

"A Wooloo? Aw, look at how it rolls around!" Pinkie gushed.

"Forget about its cuteness! It's gonna flatten Dodge Junction!" Applejack pointed her hoof over at the Sheep Pokemon.

"Just like every other Dynamaxed Pokemon, it's lost any sense of itself. We'll have to-" Twilight spoke but was quickly interrupted by Absol.

"Absol!" Absol was the first to rush in, leaving the others behind as he made his way towards Wooloo.

"Wait, Absol!" Twilight leaned forward, calling for his name, but it was no use. Absol was already on the move.

The Disaster Pokemon took matters into his own paws by running up to the Sheep Pokemon who was still using Double Edge to smash into the buildings.

"Sol!" Absol attacked first by using Night Slash to do so. Absol's horn lit up, radiating a purple aura as he lunged himself towards the Normal-Type, becoming airborne.

"WOOL?" The Sheep Pokemon noticed that Absol was heading straight for it as it stopped rolling all of a sudden. Once Wooloo looked down at Absol, it was met with a sudden slash to the face that knocked the Sheep Pokemon on its back, making it roll in the process. "LOO!"

"Absol!" Absol didn't stop there. The next move it used was Dark Pulse. Absol opened his mouth as a light purple orb surrounded in black and purple circles appeared inside his mouth. He then fired a beam of black and purple circles from the orb, pouring it all on Wooloo.

Wooloo's body was being engulfed by a dark aura as Absol relentlessly kept Dark Aura around it, not letting the move disappear for a second.

Twilight and the others watched in awe as Absol was making quick work of this Wooloo without giving it any rest whatsoever.

As if that wasn't enough, once Absol did finish Dark Pulse, the Disaster Pokemon landed on Wooloo's stomach, looking down at the Sheep Pokemon with knife-like eyes. Eyes sharp enough to intimidate the Dynamaxed Pokemon.

"WOO-WOOLOO?!" Wooloo wailed in fear.

"Ab...SOL!" Absol delivered the finishing blow by using NIght Slash on Wooloo's stomach whilst he was still on top of the Normal-Type.

An explosion of dark energy erupted from Absol's Night Slash, as the Dark-Type hopped off Wooloo's stomach, watching the dark smoke rise.

And just like that, Wooloo had been defeated. Its body shrinking back down to its normal size, no longer being surrounded by that red energy or clouds. And of course, the power spot lost its pillar.

"Wool...Wooloo?" The Sheep Pokemon looked around, dazed and confused. Like the others, it got on with its day, rolling away back to the train tracks.

To say that everypony was shocked would be an understatement. Absol finished that in a few seconds without even trying. And not only that, he didn't even require any assistance at all.

"He blitzed through that Wooloo..." Rainbow's jaw dropped.

"Uh...I guess he really doesn't need our help? Or maybe that Wooloo just wasn't that strong." Pinkie Pie scratched her mane.

"Um. G-Great job, Absol." Twilight congratulated the Disaster Pokemon. "But wasn't that a bit aggressive?"

"Sol." Absol turned his head to the side.

"Absol said that he came here to stop the crisis. So he can't afford to waste time." Fluttershy translated.

"I guess so..." Twilight nodded. "But yikes."

"Oh! Glad that's over with!" Cherry Jubilee came out of her home. "Thanks for that ya'll! That Wooloo would've come after my home next if it wasn't so fixed on one."

"Nopony got hurt, right?" Applejack asked her.

"Not at all." She shook her head. "Besides. Wooloo's body is too soft and fluffy to hurt anypony. Even if it's bigger than my farm."

"That smashing didn't look so soft and fluffy to me." Rainbow Dash whispered to Rarity.

"Well, since Absol's dealt with this area, where do we head to next that might have a power spot?" Goh said.

"Sol." Absol had the answer for that as he spotted a nearby power spot located right over at the desert that was close to here. The Disaster Pokemon ran west, making haste as he truly didn't waste any time whatsoever.

"I suppose we just follow Absol then." Rarity sighed as she and her friends kept an eye on the Dark-Type. "It feels like he's practically taking charge."

"Well, he seems to be serious about all of this after all." Fluttershy chuckled.

"Ya'll take care now! The desert's filled with some pretty fierce Pokemon..." Cherry Jubilee narrowed her eyes as she returned indoors. Dodge Junction was safe and barely damaged thanks to Absol's efforts.

The arid deserts that connect to Dodge Junction, now home to many Pokemon who prefer the dry and sunny atmosphere of the desert.

The Pokemon here range from Rock-Types, Ground-Types and even some Grass-Types here and there along with some hidden types. As for the power spots, there was indeed one single power spot here, but it was hidden by the sandstorm in this area.

Not only that, but due to the existence of Pokemon, the entire desert has changed up a bit. Dust devils were now a frequent force along with a few quicksand traps here and there.

Because of the over-abundance of Pokemon here, this nameless desert was actually given a name for the first time. The most prominent Pokemon here are Sandile's, it was appropriately named Sandile Sands.

The group entered Sandile Sands, already being graced with the aggressive sandstorms and other hazards that fill this area. It was a challenge to see anything clearly with this sand everywhere.

"Oh, just great." Applejack squinted her eyes. "How are we gonna find a power spot with all of this?"

"I've got that covered." Goh covered his eyes as he took out a Poke Ball. He tossed it upwards, sending the one Pokemon who was built to deal with these conditions.

Flygon.

"Fly!"

"Flygon! See if you can find any Dynamax Power spots! They're red and have pillar lights on them!" Goh commanded.

"Gon!" Nodding in understanding, the Mystic Pokemon flew forward without worrying about the sand whatsoever. Thanks to Flygon's red covers it wears, not much can disrupt its vision at all.

Right now, all the others could do was wait for Flygon to find something whilst they stand out here in this harsh desert with the only thing in front of them being the dust devils and sandstorms.

Flygon passed through the strongest sand tornado this desert had to offer with ease. And if a stronger one came along, it would simply use Dragon Claw to obliterate it.

Once getting past those nuisances, Flygon did, in fact, come across a power spot. A purple one instead of a red one. Goh never said anything it being purple, but the Mystic Pokemon figured that it should go and inform him anyways.

"Fly! Flygon!" Flygon returned to Goh, telling its trainer about how it saw a purple pillar of light up ahead. But it wasn't red at all. Fluttershy was the one to translate all of this.

"Flygon says...there's a purple one instead of a red one?"

"Purple? What does purple mean?" Pinkie tilted her head.

"No idea. But it's worth checking out as well. Lead the way, Flygon." said Goh.

"Hold on. Before we do that!" Ash dug into his bag. "We're gonna need these Go-Goggles!" He took out some goggles that he, Goh, Pikachu and Raboot obtained during their own visit to a desert.

Unfortunately, there wasn't enough for Twilight and the others. They didn't have anything to shield their eyes from the raging sands.

"Aw, we have to go through this without goggles?" Rainbow Dash groaned.

"Don't worry. Flygon will use Dragon Breath or Dragon Claw to clear the way for us." Goh pointed at his Pokemon. "Alright, Flygon, go!"

"Gon." Flygon nodded as it flew in front of everyone else. They had finally gone further in the desert instead of just standing around in one spot.

Whilst they made their way to the power spot, a Pokemon had already found it. But this time, it wasn't out of curiosity, but instead, it just happened to walk by the power spot without even knowing about its true properties.

That being Camerupt who was just walking along, minding its own business, completely dismissing the purple pillar of light as a simple view in the desert.

Except it wasn't. Camerupt's hoof stepped forward once and that one single step was enough to trigger the power spot near it.

"Came?" The Eruption Pokemon looked down at the ground, noticing how a purple circle was below it. Camerupt looked at the circle for a bit, clueless to what was about to happen to it.

And that's when Eternatus's influence raced through the Eruption Pokemon, making its eyes widen as it felt an unexplainable shock run through its body.

"Rupt?! Camerupt?!" The Eruption Pokemon waddled as its body began growing in size, pulsating and shaking with sheer force.

Camerupt was already a fairly big Pokemon standing at 6'3. But thanks to Dynamax, its size was akin to that of the volcanoes that it had a relation to.

The Pokemon around the area were intimidated by this unexpectedly large Camerupt who towered over them like a giant. Most of them either ran away or dug underground to avoid Camerupt.

And as to be expected, the Eruption Pokemon wasn't in its right mind as the particles of Eternatus's put Camerupt in a confused and enraged state. And whenever Camerupt is enraged, magma bursts out of its back.

Flygon arrived at the spot where it found the power spot along with the others. And once they got there, they immediately saw a Dynamaxed Camerupt spewing lava from the humps on its back.

"What is that?!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed as she and Goh took out their Pokedexes.

"Camerupt. The Eruption Pokemon. It lives inside the crater of a volcano. Camerupt has a volcano inside its body. A Magma of 18,000 degrees Fahrenheit courses through its body. Occasionally, the humps on this Pokémon's back erupt, spewing the superheated magma every 10 years. The humps on Camerupt's back are formed by a transformation of its bones. This Pokémon apparently erupts often when it is enraged. Research is underway on the cause of the eruption."

"CAMERUPT!" As the Pokedex stated, Camerupt was indeed dropping unbelievably hot magma from above. This magma was hotter than the sun itself, similar to Macargo's body temperature also being 18,000 degrees.

And with Dynamax boosting its power, the magma was enough to melt through the ground itself.

So clearly, the best option for everyone was to keep their distance and not get close to the walking volcano that is Camerupt.

All except for Absol, who like before with Wooloo, rushed in carelessly, only aiming at taking down Camerupt and stopping this crisis. "Sol!"

"Absol! Don't get too close to it!" Twilight put her hoof out, but yet again, her words didn't reach out to Absol since he acted on his own accord.

"CAME...?" Camerupt looked over, spotting Absol running straight at it with sand beating on his body.

"Abs!" Absol lunged up, going for a Night Slash, aiming at performing the same method he used on Wooloo in hopes of taking Camerupt out in a few seconds flat.

"RUPT!" The Eruption Pokemon gave out its response by using a Max move instead of a normal move like Wooloo. That being Max Flare.

Camerupt opened up its mouth, creating a ball of fire from the inside of its gaping mouth. Absol's eyes widened as he noticed that a giant fireball was right in his face as he gasped. "Sol?!"

"CAMERUPT!" Camerupt released the Max move as it instantly engulfed the Disaster Pokemon the moment it was sent forward. Absol felt Camerupt's harsh flames punish it as the blast of fire sent him rocketing back down to the ground.

Once Max Flare hit the ground with Absol, an explosion of fire occurred afterwards. It was so powerful that even managed to blow away the entire sandstorm in one go.

"Ah! Absol!" Twilight gasped in shock. She was hoping that Absol was alright after taking such a powerful attack like that.

Lo and behold, once the smoke cleared, Absol was alright, as he used Night Slash to blow away the smoke surrounding him. He did have scratches and a few burn marks on him though. He may be persistent, but he wasn't indestructible.

"Absol! Are you alright?!" Twilight flew over to him. The moment she got close, Absol immediately went in to challenge Camerupt once more, despite his current state.

"It's no use, Twilight. I think this time, we should help him in this particular situation." Rarity held out a Poke Ball.

"Right. We'll make it a raid battle!" Ash stepped forward, holding out his own Poke Ball.

"Pikachu!"

The ones partaking in this raid battle were Ash, Goh, Rainbow Dash and Spike. The accurate number for Raid Battles even if they didn't know that yet.

"Dragonite! Help out!" Ash chose Dragonite for assistance. Goh stuck with his Flygon whilst Rainbow Dash and Spike went for Braviary and Salamence. With the assistance of Absol, of course

"CAMERUPT!" Camerupt could see that others were challenging it. The Eruption Pokemon was more than capable of taking five Pokemon on, especially with its aggressively hot magma it's currently carrying with it.

Camerupt had used the move Eruption instead of Max Flare this time. Lava and smoke spewed from both of the volcanoes on Camerupt's back, also making flaming rocks fly in all directions.

"Dragonite! Dragon Claw!"

"Flygon! Dragon Breath!"

"Braviary! Aerial Ace!"

"Salamence! Hyper Beam!"

All four Pokemon who were capable of flying took to the skies under their trainers' commands. Flygon and Salamence would provide support by attacking from afar whilst Dragonite and Braviary got up close.

The rocks from Eruption were destroyed by Dragonite's Dragon Claw, perfectly slicing them in half as tiny molten rocks fell from above.

Braviary flew over the rocks and lava by moving faster than his teammates as he ascended higher into the air than the others. Dragonite and Braviary had gotten close to Camerupt's face, striking the Eruption Pokemon at the same time with their claws and wings.

"MERUPT?!"

Once they got a hit in, the two of them flew to the side, allowing Salamence and Flygon to unleash their attacks. In unison, Hyper Beam and Dragon Breath were fired, crossing streams for a while until they merged into one.

Camerupt wasn't capable of dodging the move due to it being a naturally slow Pokemon. What doesn't help is the fact that Dynamax only made it slower, so it was guaranteed to get hit. The Eruption Pokemon took both attacks to the face whilst still feeling Dragon Claw and Aerial Ace.

An explosion of draconic and hyper energy blew up in the Fire-Ground-Type's face, forcing it to move back from the knockback.

But Camerupt didn't just have Fire moves at its disposal. It had one single Steel-Type move which wouldn't be used normally. But instead, it would become a Max Move.

The Eruption Pokemon's Steel-Type move ended up giving it Max Steelspike. Camerupt stood up on its hind legs, slamming its hooves onto the ground, creating a series of jagged grey spikes that extend forward.

"Eek!" Rarity screeched as she, Twilight and the ones who weren't battling moved away from the approaching spikes.

"Salamence! Use Flamethrower on the spikes!"

"Mence!" The Dragon Pokemon flew up, avoiding the spikes whilst also breathing scorching flames from its mouth. These flames managed to melt away some of Max Steelspike.

One of the spikes was heading straight for Twilight as it bypassed the others. Thankfully, Ninetales were there to stop it by having Mystical Fire tear through the spikes, melting them down.

"Braviary! Use Superpower quick!"

"Flygon! Dragon Rush!"

Flygon's antennae glowed light blue as its body became surrounded in a light blue aura with lighter blue stripes of aura on the outside. As for Braviary, his talons were surrounded in an orange aura as both Pokemon flew in with their strongest moves.

Camerupt knew that it couldn't avoid these moves at all. So it was best to aggressively attack its opponents. The third move it had was a Rock-Type move. And that move transformed into Max Rockfall.

Camerupt's raised its head, causing a giant stone slab to rise from the ground. When the slab emerged, it hit Braviary and Flygon right in their stomach's at the right time, halting their movements towards the Eruption Pokemon.

"Smash through it, Braviary!"

"Brav!" Braviary obviously took massive damage from that Rock move. But that wasn't about to stop him. The Valiant Pokemon used Superpower to smash some of the rocks into pieces, bringing down Camerupt's defensive wall of stone.

As for Absol, he climbed up the slab by using Quick Attack to speed himself up. The Disaster Pokemon got over the slab, glaring directly at the Eruption Pokemon. Absol then used Dark Pulse whilst standing on the slab.

Camerupt took the blast of black and purple whilst Braviary obliterated the stone wall. To protect itself, Camerupt once again used Eruption as lava and flaming rocks burst out of its back.

Absol looked up to see a flaming rock coming his way as he attempted to stop it by just using Night Slash. But seeing as that was too dangerous to risk, Dragonite flew in, destroying the rock instead as it had saved Absol.

"Let's finish this! Hyper Beam!" Both Ash and Spike commanded.

"Dragon Rush!"

"Brave Bird!"

At the same time, all four attacks were initiated. Both Braviary and Flygon went in whilst Dragonite and Salamence both used Hyper Beam together, mixing them into one to create an even stronger Hyper Beam.

Camerupt's eyes widened, seeing how four different attacks were coming towards it at the same time. From the speed they were moving at, Camerupt didn't have enough time to protect or counteract the attacks. The downside to being a big Pokemon.

Flygon and Braviary crashed into Camerupt's head whilst the merged Hyper Beam went for its stomach. With those overwhelming moves hitting their mark, Camerupt had been hit with so much force that it managed to fall on its back despite it weighing 485.0 lbs.

"C-CAME-CAMERUPT!" Once Camerupt fell on its back, a loud and fairly potent earthquake filled the entirety of Sandile Sands whilst also forming a crater that matched Camerupt's Dynamaxed size.

Although, Camerupt was no longer Dynamaxed since Eternatus's influence had been washed away due to the Eruption Pokemon being defeated by that final attack combination. As such, Camerupt shrunk, returning to normal.

"Rupt? Camerupt?" A confused Camerupt looked around, forgetting what it was even doing in the first place. The Eruption Pokemon went on with its day as if nothing had happened.

"That's another one done!" Ash cheered.

"Pikachu!"

"Great job you guys! Woohoo!" Pinkie Pie yelled as she jumped up.

"That's the third one this day," said Rarity. "I haven't even fully battled yet and I already feel exhausted."

"Great job, you guys." Ash high-fived his Dragonite whilst the others returned to their trainers, getting hugs and head pats.

As for Absol, he was still feeling a bit hot after that direct Max Flare. His burn marks weren't helping at all too. "Absol. Are you alright?" Twilight went up to him.

"Sol." Absol turned away from Twilight as he was already focused on heading over to the next area despite his current condition. But once he tried to move an inch, he stumbled a bit, almost losing his balance, but Twilight caught him.

"Slow down. Maybe we should get you healed up first before you head off. Fluttershy." Twilight turned to her friend.

"Oh, right. Audi. Use Heal Pulse."

"Dino." With Twilight keeping Absol in place, Audino put her hands out, releasing pink waves of energy that pulsed through the Disaster Pokemon's body, healing his wounds.

"Absol..." Absol's eyes widened as he stood up straight.

"See? Now uh, let's not rush in like crazy okay?" Twilight tried to convince him to slow down. "The Dynamax Pokemon we might come across later could be stronger than Camerupt."

"Sol." Absol scoffed. He didn't care how strong they were. He just wanted to stop the crisis.

"My, he certainly is a different breed isn't he?" Rarity commented.

"That's an understatement." Applejack replied.

"Okay. SO we've cleared two in one in a few minutes. What's next?" Goh asked.

"Sol?!" Absol's horn was picking up on something new. But this time, it wasn't a power spot but something entirely different. His eyes were aimed North as he prepared himself for whatever was coming his way.

"What do you feel Absol?" Twilight ran to his side as she looked over at the distance where Absol was also looking.

All of them braced themselves for the worst, expecting something huge and powerful or small and speedy. But instead, it wasn't anything to fear at all. In fact, it was a friendly face instead of a new enemy.

That friendly face being four individuals. The Swords of Justice. They cleaved their way through the harsh sands, revealing themselves to Absol and the others.

"The Swords of Justice!" Twilight exclaimed.

"Princess Twilight. It's not safe to be outside at the moment." Cobalion spoke. "For all of you."

"Is it about Dynamax? We kinda know that." Rainbow Dash nodded.

"Then you should also know that everywhere else is filled with Dynamaxed Pokemon all across the area. From most corners of Equestria." Virizion chimed in.

"Most corners? How many are there?" Rarity asked.

"At least 30." Terrakion gave the exact number.

"30?!" They all screamed in unison.

"W-WE can't handle 30?!" Rarity got on the ground, biting her hooves. "Can we?"

"That's too many!" Pinkie shouted. "It'll take all day!"

"You don't have to worry about that, my little ponies. Because we've already dealt with most of them." Cobalion calmed them all down.

"You did?" Rarity looked over at him.

"Right." Cobalion nodded. "We're already knowledgable about Dynamax Pokemon and their capabilities. At times, we visit the Galar Region, so they're not a mystery to us."

"Once we saw the Galar Particles, we immediately took action and made our way towards any location that had Dynamaxed Pokemon running about," Virizion explained.

"Believe us. There were too many of them for you all to tackle." Terrakion shook his head. "So far, we've taken down 28 of them. Only 2 remain now."

"Oh. Then, in that case, you all have it covered." Rarity smiled. "This whole crisis will be over in a few minutes."

"Not really. Even if we take out the remaining 2 Pokemon, there will still be power spots all across Equestria. And the next Pokemon that goes near them will be forcefully Dynamaxed and go on a rampage." Cobalion shut her down.

"Oh." Rarity scrunched her face.

"But if we defeat the Pokemon, the power spot vanishes." Twilight pointed her hoof over at the power spot where Camerupt was.

"It is gone for now. But it will come back for sure at any moment. It's impossible to just force a power spot to stop being active." Virizion replied. "Your world is now facing something that can occur frequently without warning."

"Then a Pokemon back at Lapras Lake can interact with that same spot again! What if it's already happened?!" Fluttershy gasped, fearing for the safety of Ponyville at the moment.

"First the Ultra Beasts and now this? Give us a break..." Rainbow Dash groaned.

"No need to worry. There's only 2 left right? We'll take out the two and call it a day." said Ash.

"Pika."

"Ash! I'm not sure you heard them!" Twilight jumped up. "They're going to come back!"

"And we'll be ready for them. Where are the last two Pokemon?" Ash asked the Swords of Justice.

"The nearest one is a Dynamaxed Lopunny. All the way over at Manehattan." Cobalion answered. "The last and final one is on the move and is much more active than the others. A Dynamaxed Nidoking. It seems to be making its way towards your beloved Ponyville."

"A giant Nidoking?! Heading to Ponyville?!" Pinkie Pie screeched.

"In that case, we'll head back to Ponyville and stop Nidoking." Ash pointed over his shoulder. "Are you guys gonna handle Manehattan?"

"Spike and I will handle Manehattan." Rarity offered. "That place has already suffered enough punishment lately."

"Sure we will." Spike nodded. "We might need some more help though. Just in case."

"Count me in. I could catch that Lopunny if I'm lucky." Goh held out his Poke Ball.

"I guess I can try." Starlight shrugged. "Haven't really battled a Dynamax Pokemon before."

"Then I will come to Manehattan and assist you." Virizion went over to Rarity and the others.

"Keldeo, Terrakion and I will come to Ponyville with you. However, be careful. You may never know if more Dynamax Pokemon are resurfacing." Cobalion spoke.

"Thanks, Cobalion." Twilight nodded. "Absol. Isn't this great news?"

"Absol." Absol turned his head to the side, knowing that even if they stop the remaining Pokemon, the crisis will just come back with newer Dynamaxed Pokemon.

Thanks to the Swords of Justice, a majority of the Dynamaxed Pokemon have been stopped. However, even if there were two remaining, the power spots will always come back. Eternatus's energy still flows inside of them, slowly building up to feed the Pokemon as the journey continues.

Only two Dynamax power spots remain.

Thanks to the Swords of Justice already taking out 28 of them, the remaining 2 are the Dynamaxed Lopunny in Manehattan and the Dynamax Nidoking who's rolling through the land, making its way towards Ponyville and beyond.

Rarity, Spike, Starlight, Goh and Virizion have decided to tackle Manehattan whilst the others head back to Ponyville to stop NIdoking and put an end to this current crisis. All the while, somewhere over at the Galar Region, Eternatus is absorbing Dynamax energy for itself, gradually growing in power.

Manehattan, Afternoon.

The Dynamaxed Lopunny so far has dealt some considerable damage to Manehattan thanks to its devastating legs. Every time Lopunny took a step, it created huge craters in the ground just by walking.

Naturally, this creates problems for the ponies living in Manehattan. Lopunny's movements were enough to shake the city and leave holes and craters in the ground.

Not only that, but a single kick of Lopunny was enough to cut an entire roof off. And that's exactly what happened. Many roofs and higher building levels in Manehattan had been cleaved off with unusual precision.

The large roofs fell from above, almost crushing any ponies that were nearby. As for the ponies on the higher levels, they made the wise decision to get out of there before they were taken out by Lopunny's kicks.

It was safe to say that Lopunny in a Dynamaxed form was a walking hammer that can also move quickly on its feet thanks to it being a rabbit at the end of the day.

Whilst everypony was panicking and scattering away from this giant rabbit, Rarity's group arrived at Manehattan to see the Rabbit Pokemon obliterating parts of buildings with just its legs.

They looked over the city, seeing chunks of roofs and glass windows scattered all over the place with craters and holes everywhere.

"I thought the Nihilego attack was bad... Rarity's eyes widened. "This blows it all out of the water."

"Lopunny is just confused and enraged." Virizion walked forward. "Just like every other Pokemon, defeating it will remove the Dynamax energy from within and return her to normal."

"Then what are waiting for. Let's have another go, Flygon!" Goh sent his Flygon forward. "That Lopunny is mine!"

"Flygon!"

"Salamence. You're up again." Spike stuck with his Salamence.

"Mence!"

"We'll have a go ourselves." Rarity reached into her Saddle Bag, taking out a Rarityball as she sent out her Pheromosa.

"Phero!"

"All I have is Hatterene. But I guess that'll do." Starlight sent Hatterene out.

"Tterene."

"LOPUNNY!" Lopunny stomped her foot through a building, shattering the windows and levelling it one go.

"Be very careful," Virizion warned. "One devastating strike from Lopunny's legs will most likely render most of your Pokemon unconscious. Its Mega Evolution does have the spirit of a warrior inside after all."

"Don't worry. We'll finish this no problem." Goh gave a thumbs up. "Flygon! Dragon Rush!"

"Fly...GON!" Flygon was the first to attack. By charging in head-first with a light blue outline surrounding its body.

But, compared to other Dynamaxed Pokemon, Lopunny had a faster reaction time and better instincts. And thanks to those big ears she carries around, she was able to hear Goh give out a command.

As such, Lopunny was already prepared to tackle anyone who challenges her. Not only that, but she had the most reflexes out of any Dynamaxed Pokemon.

So not only was she able to see her opponent coming and counteract, but she could also move out of the way with her strong legs.

And that's what she did. By using her destructive legs, the Rabbit Pokemon hopped into the air, leaving behind a shockwave whilst also avoiding Flygon entirely.

"Fly?

"LO...PUN!" Right from above, Lopunny had stomped its foot on Flygon's back, dealing some heavy damage to the Mystic Pokemon in just a few seconds.

"FLYGON!" The Ground-Dragon opened its eyes as it was sent crashing to the ground with the mark of Lopunny's foot on its back.

"Ah! Flygon!" Goh ran over to his Pokemon.

"LOPUN!" Lopunny raised her leg, aiming to smash it down on Goh who was right in her line of attack.

"Pheromosa, quick! Grab Goh and Flygon!" Rarity gasped, realizing what Lopunny was going for. The Lissome Pokemon, being the fastest one here, was able to dash over and grab Goh and Flygon before Lopunny could smash her legs down on them.

Flygon had already taken the most damage out of everyone here thanks to a single kick from Lopunny. But it was still able to continue despite the large mark on its back.

"I warned you. In some cases, it's best to keep your distance instead of rushing in," said Virizion.

"My bad..." Goh lowered his head.

"Distance is what we're all about! Salamence use Hyper Beam!"

"Hatterene! Psycho Cut!"

Hatterene raised her tentacle as it released a pink crescent-like blade of energy from its tentacles at her opponent whilst Salamence just went for the always effective Hyper Beam.

Hyper Beam outsped Psycho Cut, blitzing straight through it and making its way towards the Rabbit Pokemon. But Lopunny had a response for that.

One of its moves a Flying-Type move. And that had transformed into the Dynamax move known as Max Airstream. By channelling the move in her legs, the Rabbit Pokemon sent a stream of wind that spun around like a whirlwind by kicking.

The stream of air came in contact with Hyper Beam, blowing the energy away along with Psycho Cut which had just caught up now. The Max Airstream easily got rid of those two attacks as it had enough wind pressure equal to that of a hurricane or a tornado.

Spike, Starlight and Rarity gasped as they saw the move coming straight for them, but thankfully, Virizion had managed to stop the attack by cutting it in half with her sword.

"Are you alright?" Virizion asked them as they nodded in response. "Good. Now just stay calm and you will be able to get through all of this."

The Grassland Pokemon attacked Lopunny next by using the move Magical Leaf. Virizion's body glowed green as she jumped into the air. Light-green leaves quickly circled around her body, flying over at Lopunny.

Lopunny attempted to fend off the leaves by kicking them away, which she managed to succeed for the most part. However, Virizion sent more her way and it was only a matter of time until one of them passed through.

When some of them hit, they exploded right in front of Lopunny's face "PUNNY!"

"Pheromosa! Use Triple Kick!"

"Salamence! Fly up and use Flamethrower!"

Pheromosa and Salamence helped each other out. Just like how Eve used Salamence as a ride, so did Pheromosa by getting on the Dragon Pokemon's back.

"LOPUNNY!" Lopunny wasn't about to let that happen. So in response, it went for yet another Max Airstream to knock them out of the sky.

Thankfully,

"Sala...Mence!" Salamence breathed hot fire from his mouth whilst bringing Pheromosa up to Lopunny's face. The fire had been sprayed in a vertical angle, hitting both Lopunny's stomach and face.

"LO!"

"Pheromo!" The Lissome Pokemon then jumped off Salamence's back, going in for Triple Kick. Once she was close enough, the Ultra Beast delivered three consecutive kicks to Lopunny's face, dealing some super-effective damage in the process.

"LOPUN!" Lopunny was knocked back as she almost fell flat on the ground. The Rabbit Pokemon held her face, destroying a building behind her. "LOPUNNY..."

Frustrated and annoyed, Lopunny went for the strongest attack she had yet. One of her moves was a Fairy-Type move, most likely Play Rough.

The Rabbit Pokemon front flipped off the ground, as she raised one leg. This single Fairy-Type move had been transformed into Max Starfall.

From above the clouds had suddenly emanated a pink aura that was somewhat therapeutic to look at. Out of the clouds came five large golden stars that radiated Fairy magic.

Apart from Hatterene, this move was devastating for the other Pokemon here. The drawback to being Dragon and Fighting is that Fairy moves hurt.

"Oh no." Spike gulped. "Fly away, quick!"

Pheromosa landed back on Salamence's back as the duo flew off, trying to avoid the stars from above. Flygon flew next to Salamence whilst Virizion used her swift and agile movements to evade the stars.

Everypony in Manehattan was given the sight of large golden stars falling from above whilst two dragons and two Fighting-Types elude them. It was a bizarre but yet beautiful sight at the same time.

"Hatterene! Use Protect!" Starlight got on the more defensive side.

"Hatte!" The Silent Pokemon put her tentacle out, creating a protective shield around her as the golden star wasn't able to make direct contact with the Psychic-Fairy-Type.

As for the others, they weren't so lucky. Flygon was still feeling Lopunny's foot on its back, causing the Mystic Pokemon to fly less effectively.

And with a slower flying speed, it wasn't long until one of the stars made contact. Flygon's eyes widened as it was engulfed in a beautiful rainbow light. The move exploded upon contact, sending out multiple stars that scattered across the sky.

"G-Gon!" That one single Max Move was enough to put Flygon down for the count as the Mystic Pokemon fell from above with a trail of misty smoke with star particles.

"Flygon, no!" Goh screamed as he saw his partner faint right before his eyes. Once Flygon fell, Goh accepted that he was unable to battle.

"Flygon..."

"Good try. Return and rest up." Goh went up to Flygon, returning it to its Poke Ball.

As for the others, they succeeded in avoiding Max Starfall with all the golden stars disappearing once making contact with the ground.

"Now's our chance! Pheromosa! Triple Kick once more!"

"Salamence, use Hyper Beam!"

"Hatterene! Psycho Cut!"

Hoping to finish things off, all of them put every last ounce of their strength into their attacks. Once again, Pheromosa was on Salamence's back but this time, the Dragon Pokemon picked up Hatterene along the way, now having two Pokemon his back.

Lopunny looked down at her three opposing foes, ready to knock them out of the sky with all she had. The Rabbit Pokemon raised her leg, going for an overhead attack.

From the speed she swung it at, it looked like it was going to connect, guaranteed. But that was shut down thanks to Virizion interrupting with Sacred Sword by jumping high into the air.

"Now is your chance!" Virizion exclaimed, looking over at the trio. The three of them nodded in response as Virizion kept her sword on Lopunny's leg, keeping the Rabbit Pokemon occupied.

Salamence and Hatterene attacked from afar whilst Pheromosa got up close and personal. The Lissome Pokemon struck Lopunny's face three times whilst Hyper Beam and Psycho Cut went straight for the stomach. Virizion pitched in by slashing Lopunny's leg with Secret Sword, getting that last hit in.

Lopunny felt overwhelmed. After all, it hits hard, but like Pikachu, she's a glass cannon. All you really need is one good hit on her and that's it.

So the quadruple attack was just what the group needed. Lopunny couldn't continue, however, she was still in her Dynamax form. It seems that she was able to hang on for a while as she held her head, feeling dizzy.

"Perhaps..." Rarity took out another Rarity Ball from her saddlebag. "Terribly sorry about this Goh!"

"Hm? Sorry about what?" Goh turned to her.

Rarity was actually planning to capture Lopunny for herself. However, before the special Poke Ball could be thrown, the Dynamax energy was effecting it.

The Rarityball suddenly turned pink as it grew in size, similar to that of a Dynamax Pokemon. "W-What is this?!" Rarity held the sized-up ball in her hooves, trying to keep it up.

"Hold on!" Spike and Starlight helped Rarity hoist up the Rarityball as they felt their bones breaking. With all their combined strength, they tossed the giant ball towards Lopunny as it gained some impressive air time.

The giant Rarityball hit Lopunny square in the face opening up and sending the Rabbit Pokemon inside. Like a normal Poke Ball, the Rarityball fell, however this time when it made contact with the ground, everything trembled.

Now they had to wait for the result and to see if Lopunny had been caught as they all leaned forward.

1...2...3...

The ball was on pause for a while. They had no idea if the capture was a guarantee or not. Rarity bit her hooves as Spike and Starlight gulped.

After that short pause, the result had been revealed.

Gotcha! Lopunny was caught!

"Yes! A successful capture!" Rarity grinned as she went over to grab the Rarityball. "I didn't think it would work on Dynamax Pokemon honestly."

"Aw, Rarity! That's not fair!" Goh groaned as he wanted to catch Lopunny for himself.

"Well done." Virizion walked up to her. "Even if the city is in a bit of a rough state, I'm sure that the ponies here will repair it alongside their Pokemon."

"They certainly will." Rarity nodded in response. "Now there is only one Pokemon left. Nidoking. Have Twilight and the others reached Ponyville yet?"

"Who knows. But there's no way a Nidoking can outspeed them right?" Starlight shrugged.

"I wouldn't be so sure about that. Nidoking has been able to move around by curling into a ball and rolling. When it is in that state, its speed is fairly impressive and hard to keep up with most of the time." Virizion answered.

"Rolling? It might destroy something along the way!" Rarity gasped.

"Possibly. Let's hurry. We might be able to make it back to Ponyville before the situation worsens."

Speaking of Nidoking, it was indeed destroying everything in its path by rolling at high-speeds, currently in a grassland area.

When a Pokemon saw it coming, they would all scatter and hide to avoid being crushed by Nidoking's poisonous and hard body.

The scales on its back were destroying the ground beneath Nidoking, and even some of the grass in certain areas were being melted away by its poisonous body.

Nidoking wasn't directly aiming for Ponyville, it was just rolling wherever it went due to it being on a rampage. It had no end goal whatsoever. It was just confused and enraged after all.

All the while, Ash's group was chasing after the Drill Pokemon. They saw that Nidoking wasn't slowing down at all. It kept rolling at a consistent speed in one single direction. Anything in its way was struck down.

"It's moving too fast! How do we keep up it?!" said Applejack.

"There's more than one way to stop a rampaging Pokemon. Terrakion." Cobalion turned to Terrakion.

"Leave it to me! Some of you might want to stay back a bit." Terrakion looked at the ground whilst everyone else kept a good distance from him.

He had a move that could actually stop Nidoking in its tracks. But it's also capable of harming the environment around him. That move was none other than Earthquake.

The Cavern Pokemon stood up on his hind legs, bringing them down afterwards with a girthy impact on the ground. White shockwaves erupted from the ground as the entire area was trembling.

The shockwaves travelled far enough to reach Nidoking as they had enough power to even disrupt the Drill Pokemon's rolling.

"NIDO?!"

Nidoking tumbled after feeling the sudden earthquake throw him off balance as he fell flat on his face, shaking the area around him in the process. That Earthquake was stunningly effective.

"Oh. Okay, that works." Applejack nodded.

With Nidoking temporarily immobilized, Absol was, of course, the first one to rush in before everyone else. "Sol!"

"Absol! This again?" Twilight sighed.

"Leave it. He's obviously a Pokemon that acts on his own even with assistance." Cobalion walked past Twilight.

"NIDO...KING." The Drill Pokemon stood up, wondering what could've caused that sudden earthquake. Unbeknownst to Nidoking, he currently had a pursuer who was already heading straight for him.

Absol looked up at Nidoking, believing that he could take the Drill Pokemon out by himself. He stopped in his tracks, looking up at the Poison-Ground-Type.

Absol opened his mouth wide, going straight for Dark Pulse as a beam of black and purple circles came racing out. It was so small in comparison to Nidoking to where the Drill Pokemon didn't even notice it.

But what he did notice was that Dark Pulse connected, hitting Nidoking's tail and giving him a slight tickle. "KING?"

That prompted Nidoking to look around his surroundings. By navigating the area, he spotted Absol standing right next to him. He noticed that Absol was continuously using Dark Pulse, hitting the Drill Pokemon's tail repeatedly with barely any damage.

Seeing this made Nidoking direct all of its attention to Absol. Now it was a target for its rampage. The Drill Pokemon swung its tail to the side, blowing away the Dark Pulse and hitting Absol as well.

"Absol?!" The Disaster Pokemon's eyes widened as he felt Nidoking's tough tail strike him. The impact and swing sent Absol flying in the air as he was yet again the first to take damage.

Thankfully, Twilight caught him by using her magic. "I gotcha!" She carefully placed the Disaster Pokemon back on the ground, letting him rest whilst Cobalion and the others approached Nidoking who had spotted them as well.

"Sol..."

"Absol! You rushed in again!" Twilight raised her voice. "You're gonna keep on hurting yourself like this."

"Absol." Absol didn't have to respond to Twilight. To him, as long as the crisis is stopped, he'll rush in as many times as he needs to.

"Ugh..." Twilight sighed. "Fluttershy. Heal Absol up each-" Absol interrupted Twilight by standing back up, immediately charging towards Nidoking once more. "Ah! Absol!"

"Guess there's no winning with him," Fluttershy spoke.

"None at all." Twilight facehoofed.

As for the others, Ash, Rainbow Dash, Applejack and Cobalion were facing off against Nidoking themselves. The Drill Pokemon, like many others, had these four as its main target since they were getting in its way. And mostly due to the enraged part.

Ash and Rainbow Dash had their Gengar and Altaria go up against Nidoking whilst Applejack just stuck with her only Pokemon. Grovyle.

"Gengar! Psychic!" Ash commanded.

"Altaria! Ice Beam!"

Gengar's eyes glow light blue as Nidoking became outlined in a light blue aura. Gengar managed to almost lift Nidoking with its mind, but Nidoking was just way too heavy. Instead, Gengar hit Nidoking with invisible blasts of psychokinetic energy.

As for Altaria, out her gaping mouth, a beam of ice came flying out as it passed by Gengar. Once Ice Beam made contact with Nidoking, the Drill Pokemon could feel bits of its body freeze.

It wasn't enough to fully freeze him, but it was potent enough to send a chill through him. In response, Nidoking used a Max Move. One of its moves of the Poison-Type.

So because of that, it gave Nidoking access to the Max Ooze. From the Drill Pokemon's mouth, a stream of poisonous ooze came flying out, spraying all over the area and melting away the grass.

"Gengar! Use Psychic to send it back!"

"Gar!" In an unexpected strategy, Gengar had used Psychic to manipulate the ooze, stopping it in place. The Shadow Pokemon then used its mind to send the poison right back at Nidoking as the Drill Pokemon was struck by his own attack.

"KING!"

"Grovyle! Use Dragon Breath!" Applejack commanded.

"Vyle!" Grovyle fired a transparent beam of energy with white rings around it from its mouth. Dragon Breath was actually capable of doing something that no other Electric-Type move can do to a ground type.

Paralyze. When Dragon Breath connected, Nidoking could feel both an explosion and his body being paralyzed. As long as the move isn't Electric, even a Ground-Type like Nidoking can be affected.

Now that Nidoking was paralyzed, this gave the others a lot of opportunities to strike. Starting with Cobalion who used Iron Head on Nidoking's leg by smashing its hardened head on him.

As for Keldeo, he used Hydro Pump by releasing powerful blasts of water from his hooves. Terrakion helped out by having Stone Edge erupt from the ground.

Compared to the others, this was the most effective Dynamax battle so far. Mostly because Nidoking could barely do that much and him being paralyzed wasn't helping at all.

Nidoking was knocked off its legs with Stone Edge rising up as Hydro Pump was blasted on his face.

"Now Gengar! Use Ice Punch!"

"Gen...Gar!" Gengar disappeared and reappeared in front of Nidoking before he fell on his back. Gengar's fist became surrounded with icy blue energy, smashing it into Nidoking's stomach.

Nothing but super-effective hits have been landed on Nidoking so far apart from some exceptions. It looked like Nidoking was on the verge of losing at this point.

"Woohoo! Good job you guys!" Pinkie cheered. "You're doing great!"

"KING...NIDO..." Nidoking barely stood a chance. All it managed to do was hit Absol and that was the end of that. At this point, the Drill Pokemon could be considered defeated as he held his head.

But, someone, in particular, wasn't ready to let this end. And that someone was the same person who brought Dynamax energy to Equestria. That being Lucien, who was always watching from above on top of a cloud with Sienna.

"Oh well. Looks like your Dynamax plan was a bit underwhelming." Sienna patted Lucien on the back, smirking. "Tough luck. But now let's focus on my Desire's."

"It isn't over yet." Lucien shoved Sienna back. "I've still got a lot of plans for Dynamax and I won't let this part end so easily."

Deciding to spice things up a bit, Lucien zapped a bolt of cosmic energy over towards the fallen Nidoking. The bolt entered Nidoking's body, fueling the Drill Pokemon with a fresh new batch of energy.

The power of the Rift merged with Eternatus's influence awakened something destructive within Nidoking. The Drill Pokemon's eyes opened up as his body became outlined in red and blue as a replication of the two energies dwelling inside of him.

"KING !" Nidoking had been rejuvenated and undergone a boost in power as it stood back up, shaking the atmosphere around it.

"Wait, it's back up?!" Pinkie Pie gasped. "I thought you guys beat it!"

"I thought so too! What gives?!" Rainbow Dash backed up as the shadow of Nidoking cast over her friends, the grasslands and practically everywhere else.

"Something has rejuvenated him. But Dynamax isn't capable of that at all," said Cobalion.

"NIDOKING!" Nidoking was more aggressive than ever. So aggressive to the point where it wasn't even confused at this point. It was just enraged and nothing else.

Nidoking used Earth Power as his fist became surrounded with a golden aura as he slams his fist into the ground, creating cracks with golden and cosmic energy that travel along the ground.

As the ground itself shook, Ash and the others made the wise decision to move away from the cracks, however, due to Nidoking's heightened strength, the cracks kept on coming, causing further destruction to the ground.

"Does that Earth Power seem stronger to you?!" Applejack screeched.

"Gengar! Use Ice Punch to stop it!"

"Gar!" Gengar attempted to stop Earth Power by freezing the ground beneath it as the Shadow Pokemon smashed its icy blue fist on the ground.

It ended up working as the Ice Punch cancelled out Earth Power whilst those that can fly just simply went into the air. But Nidoking had something greater at its disposal.

The Earth Power had transformed into Max Quake. Yet another Dynamax move. And this one was by far the most devastating one they've come across.

Nidoking slammed both his fists on the ground this time, putting some extra Oomph to it. Once hit, the ground itself was being lifted, transforming the grasslands.

A violent tremor filled the area as the ground even cracked open. Pinkie Pie held onto Fluttershy who flew up whilst Cobalion and Terrakion, who were unfortunately weak to Ground, had been hit by rising chunks of the ground itself.

"Nidoking's stronger than ever, so watch out! Fly up and use Ice Punch!"

"Altaria! Use Ice Beam!"

"KING!" Nidoking wasn't about to let that happen. It had suddenly outstretched its large hands, going straight for a grab. The Drill Pokemon was planning on grabbing anyone that was in his line of sight. Mainly Gengar and Altaria.

"Grovyle! Leaf Blade!"

"Vyle!" Grovyle attempted to knock Nidoking's arms away by slashing them with Leaf Blade, but that didn't do a thing as Grovyle ended up being caught in Nidoking's grasp. "Gro?!"

"Ah! Grovyle!" Applejack screamed.

Altaria tried to save her friend by blasting Ice Beam all over Nidoking's body. But even a super-effective Ice Beam wasn't enough. Nidoking didn't even freeze. Gengar went next, flying close to Nidoking for an Ice Punch.

But that was quickly stopped when Nidoking used his other hand to smack Gengar away, knocking the Shadow Pokemon into Altaria. "Gen!"

"Alta!"

"KING! NIDOKING!" Nidoking then went ballistic. First, it swung its tail violently, destroying the trees and hills around it in one go. Keldeo hopped over the tail using Water Pulse from his mouth to get a hit in.

But Nidoking caught the ball of Water in his hand, crushing it into nothing. Next, Nidoking shot out Max Ooze from its tail, spraying the poisonous stream all across the grasslands.

"Send it back with Psychic!" Ash tried the same tactic again. But even the poison had been powered up to a point where when Gengar used Psychic on the stream, it was actually struggling to keep it back.

"G-Gengar..."

Twilight, Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash ascended higher to avoid the poison, but Nidoking went after them as well. It swung its tail upwards, sending the tail towards those that were airborne.

"Yikes!" Twilight squealed as she and Fluttershy held on to each other whilst the poison almost made contact with them.

And the third action Nidoking did was by far his biggest one. He dug his hands in the ground, having enough strength to flip it over like a table.

And that's what he did. Nidoking flipped the ground over, disrupting the natural structure of this area and also sending those that were on ground level up in the air.

"W-Woah!" Ash and Applejack screamed as they had been forced into the air by Nidoking simply flipping the ground. Gengar caught Ash by using Psychic whilst Altaria caught Applejack. "Thanks, Gengar!"

"KING!" Nidoking's fourth action wasn't as destructive as his third but it was also terrifying. It now decided to chase its prey down as it began running, shaking the earth with each step.

"Run! Or fly!" Twilight screeched.

"A fairly good idea actually." Cobalion agreed with Twilight as he and the others dashed off whilst escaping from this super-sized Nidoking.

A chase had begun. With Nidoking tearing through the environment and nature itself as he ran. They were all in his line of sight thanks to his size, so it was impossible to escape him since he could see from all angles due to how big he is now.

"Altaria! Try using Ice Beam again!" Rainbow Dash turned around, pointing her hoof over at Nidoking.

"Alta...Ria!" The Humming Pokemon turned her head, opening it up as a blast of ice was fired towards Nidoking. However, Nidoking simply smacked the beam away with its large arms. "Altaria?!"

"It's like it can't feel damage anymore!" Pinkie Pie gasped.

"W-What do we do?!" Fluttershy shuddered.

"NIDOKING!" Nidoking grabbed a nearby tree, ripping it out of the ground. The Drill Pokemon then tossed the tree over at Gengar, Altaria and Twilight, planning on knocking them out of the sky.

"Pikachu! Iron Tail!" Ash looked back whilst running away.

"Chu...!" Pikachu hopped off Ash's shoulder, appearing in front of the tree as his tail hardened. "Pika!" Pikachu cut the tree in half, saving Twilight and the others from being hit as he landed on Terrakion's back.

"When a Nidoking goes on a rampage, it's impossible to stop them unless there is a Nidoqueen nearby. However, that is unlikely, so we'll have to try a different approach." Cobalion was staying calm during all of this.

"Sol!" Absol was getting tired of running away as he felt brave enough to take on a powered-up Nidoking as he stopped running.

"Hm?" Twilight turned around to see Absol facing Nidoking. "Absol, don't!"

Absol yet again was ready to take on something stronger than him without thinking about his own well-being. He grabbed Nidoking's attention by using Dark Pulse on the Drill Pokemon.

Of course, this Dark Pulse barely scratched Nidoking the first time and it definitely didn't work the second time. Nidoking turned his attention to the Disaster Pokemon whilst still having Grovyle in his hands.

The Drill Pokemon tried to stomp on Absol, but the Disaster Pokemon used Quick Attack to avoid it whilst also firing yet another Dark Pulse. And even that didn't do anything.

Absol then climbed up Nidoking's body by using Quick Attack whilst Nidoking followed his every movement. Grovyle was trying to break free by using Dragon Breath, but it was no good. Nidoking wouldn't budge.

Once Absol got close to Nidoking's face, he believed he would be able to get off a Night Slash. But sadly, he couldn't. Nidoking had taken Absol by surprise by headbutting the Disaster Pokemon.

"S-Sol?!" Absol could feel the weight of Nidoking travelling through his body as the shock of the impact made him shudder. Everyone gasped as they saw Absol fall from above, seemingly defeated.

"Absol!" Twilight and Fluttershy flew over to try and grab Absol. But once they got close, Nidoking used its tail to smack them away.

Twilight and Fluttershy were launched through the air as they also felt the weight of Nidoking punish them. The duo crashed into a tree, harming their backs in the process.

"Twilight! Fluttershy!" Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie and Applejack gasped, turning around.

But when they took their attention away from Nidoking, the Drill Pokemon swung its tail over at them as well. "Gengar! Stop it using Ice Punch!"

Luckily, Ash's Gengar managed to hold back the tail from reaching the three of them with Ice Punch connecting. But connecting with Nidoking's body made Gengar tremble a bit. "G-Gar!"

"Gengar! Fly up to Nidoking's hand!"

The Shadow Pokemon went straight for the hand where Grovyle was being held. Nidoking tried to grab Gengar, but the Ghost-Poison-Type made itself intangible as a method of evading.

Gengar arrived at the hand, using Ice Punch on it. This Ice Punch managed to have the freeze effect behind it as a bit of Nidoking's hand felt a small chill run through.

That chill made his grip less focused as Grovyle could finally find a way to break free. Gengar grabbed Grovyle with Psychic, freeing the Wood Gecko Pokemon from Nidoking's grasp.

"A-Absol..." Absol was still on the ground, still feeling the weight of Nidoking thanks to that headbutt. The same could be said for Twilight and Fluttershy after hitting the tree.

Audino rushed over to the three of them whilst a ferocious battle happens in the back. She used Heal Pulse on them, but even Heal Pulse wouldn't help that much. It would recover them for sure, but the shock would take some time to vanish.

"Absol..." Absol stood back up, brushing off the damage he had taken. He tried to get back in there but Twilight used her magic to hold him in. "Sol?"

"Absol, don't!" Twilight winced. "You haven't recovered yet like us. If you rush in again, you'll just end up taking more damage!"

"Absol...!"

"You can't tackle something like this on your own, Absol. Even if you're determined to stop this crisis as soon as possible, you're just one Pokemon against many."

"Sol," Absol growled.

"But if you coordinate with us, then we can stop it together. So won't you please slow down a bit?"

"Abs." Absol could steel feel a shock in his legs. What Twilight was saying true. If Nidoking hits him hard one more time, there's no telling how much damage Absol will take and how less effective Heal Pulse might end up being.

So he had no choice but to coordinate for the time being. Even if he was a Pokemon who worked on his lonesome without needing much help. But he certainly needs it now.

"Alright. We'll make sure that this crisis comes to an end, okay?" Twilight nodded.

But even if Absol was now cooperating with them, the issue of taking down Nidoking was still there. Just when Nidoking looked like it would've been defeated, cosmic interference had boosted its strength. Being the last Dynamax Pokemon around, Absol and the others face off against an aggressive opponent as the journey continues.

The Dynamaxed Nidoking debacle continues.

Back with the others, their battle against Nidoking was 50/50. Ash, Cobalion, Terrakion and Keldeo were able to hold their own whilst Rainbow Dash was just struggling.

Pinkie Pie's Spinda had used Secret Power on the area, trying to get Nidoking to fall asleep due to this being a grassland area. But Nidoking was able to stay up without any issues.

"This could go on forever!" Keldeo said. "The other Dynamax Pokemon weren't this strong!"

"Whatever it is that is heightening him, it's made him into an entirely different Pokemon." Cobalion replied.

"Hitting him hard doesn't work either." Terrakion shook his head. "What do we do?"

"Sol!" Absol ran forward, standing beside Gengar and Keldeo. This time, he wasn't rushing in.

"N-NIDO...!" Nidoking was actually getting fatigued from all of this. That's when Cobalion and Ash finally found a way to come back from this.

"Aha! Gengar! Circle around Nidoking!"

"Gar!" The Shadow Pokemon approached Nidoking who locked eyes with the Ghost-Poison-Type. Nidoking tried to grab Gengar but was quickly met with disappointment when Gengar used its intangibility to phase through his arms.

Nidoking tried it again but Gengar disappeared and reappeared behind him. The Shadow Pokemon was much faster than him, so this was no problem. This went on with Nidoking having no success catching the Ghost.

The others could see what Ash and Gengar were doing as they finally figured out a way to defeat this powered-up Nidoking. By simply tiring him out.

"Oh...I get it." Twilight nodded. "Eve! Distract him with Psybeam!"

"Espeon!" Eve grabbed Nidoking's attention by firing a super-effective Psybeam at the Drill Pokemon's legs.

"NIDO?!" Nidoking was easily distracted by that as predicted.

"Dragon Breath!" Applejack's Grovyle did the same but on Nidoking's tail. That also grabbed his attention. Now he tried to focus on three Pokemon at once.

And that quickly became four when Twilight had her Cinccino use Aqua Tail on its foot. Nidoking roared as he stomped his foot about whilst also trying to grab the elusive Gengar.

Rainbow Dash's Altaria had used Ice Beam to deal even more super-effective damage, which only irritated Nidoking even further.

"Absol!" Absol played his part by continuously firing Dark Pulses at Nidoking's tail alongside Grovyle. Nidoking had no idea what to do in this situation.

They were all moving around and attacking in different directions. Their plan on fatiguing Nidoking was proving to be effective. When Nidoking tried to slam or swing his tail, Absol and Grovyle would just jump over.

When Gengar got close, he would Ice the back of Nidoking's head or even go up in his face at times. Altaria had it easy since she can just keep her distance with Ice Beam. The same goes for Eve who had no problem firing Psybeam from afar.

Keldeo had used Hydro Pump to keep Nidoking's attention plastered on the ground at all times. The Drill Pokemon didn't know if it should look up or down.

From Ice Beam, Ice Punch to Psybeam, all three of those moves were super-effective enough to the point where Nidoking couldn't think straight at all.

As for Cobalion and Terrakion, whilst their moves weren't really super-effective, they had other ways of dealing massive damage to the Drill Pokemon.

At the same time, the two of them had dug their swords in the ground, flipping it over as they used Nidoking's own element against him as huge chunks of the ground crashed into the Drill Pokemon's knees.

"K-KING! NIDOKING...!"

"Alright! Let's wrap this up! Gengar! Psychic!"

"Gengar!" Gengar finally stopped zipping around Nidoking since the plan to distract and fatigue the Drill Pokemon was already a smashing success. Invisible waves of psychokinetic waves had attacked Nidoking's mind, causing him to wince a bit.

But it didn't stop there. Gengar kept using Psychic whilst the others chimed in. Eve and Altaria used Psybeam and Ice Beam whilst Grovyle used Dragon Breath.

None of them stopped firing their attacks as they poured it all on the Drill Pokemon. Nidoking couldn't actually push this one back like he did with the others. Mostly due to fatigue.

Nidoking fell on its knees as it had finally taken enough damage to the point where it was on the verge of defeat. Even the Dynamax energy within him was weakening.

"Yes! It's working!" Pinkie jumped up. "Please let it be the end for real this time!"

"Wait..." Cobalion put his hoof out, making sure that no one got greedy with their attacks as they anticipated Nidoking's next action.

The cosmic energy was harming Nidoking more than Eternatus's Dynamax energy. Too much of it was dwelling inside of him.

The Drill Pokemon looked over at his opponents, seeing that they have indeed gotten the better of him and his defeat was inevitable at this point. All they had to do was just breathe on him and he was done for.

But he wasn't about to go down without taking one of his prey out. By using its sharp claws, it dug into the ground, Earth Power from its claws. But Nidoking made sure that this attack was silent and swift.

Absol could sense the incoming Ground move thanks to his horn. The golden light of Earth Power was coming straight for Twilight who was completely unaware.

"Sol!" Absol instinctively knocked Twilight out of the way with Quick Attack whilst also using Dark Pulse to attack Nidoking.

As Twilight yelped, Absol's Dark Pulse was just the right amount of power needed to finally defeat Nidoking as a dark explosion emerged in front of the Drill Pokemon's face.

But at a cost, Earth Power ended up hitting Absol instead of Twilight as the Disaster Pokemon felt a hard rock hit his chest. "A-Absol!"

"K-KING...!" With Nidoking taking that final Dark Pulse, the cosmic energy and Dynamax energy from within was finally fading away. And what was also fading away was his size.

By shrinking back down, Nidoking had finally returned to normal, reverting to his 4′07 height. And of course, like the other Pokemon, he was just confused and lost on what had happened.

In truth, the battle against Nidoking should've been over long ago since their first battle with it went smoothly. But of course, Lucien intervened and their second battle was a bit stressful.

And speaking of Lucien, he was sitting above the clouds with Sienna, feeling satisfied with this conclusion.

"Alright. Are you happy now?" Sienna asked him.

"Yep. That's much better." Lucien had a cheesy grin as he nodded in response. He just wanted a better outcome to this crisis. And he got one. Until the next time Dynamax pops up again.

"King? Nidoking?" Nidoking stood up, holding his head as he walked off as if nothing had happened.

"Phew. Finally." Ash sat down, as he and the others were glad that it was over.

"Pika..."

"Absol..." Absol hung in there as his stomach was injured from Earth Power. His resilience was fairly impressive compared to others.

"Absol! Are you okay?" Twilight flew over to him.

"Sol." Absol shook it off, trying to regain his composure. He was surprisingly good at staying sharp and serious even after taking a heavy hit. He did struggle to stand firmly on his feet due to the hit, but Twilight used her magic to keep him steady.

"Thanks for saving me back there. That horn of yours really is a great asset, isn't it?" Twilight thanked him.

"Absol..."

"We can safely call this crisis over for now. There will still be other Pokemon who will interact with the power spots plastered across your world." Cobalion said. "But we'll be there to make sure that they're promptly stopped."

"That's right. Thanks for helping us out, all of you." Terrakion turned to them. "That could've ended ugly if we didn't have any extra support."

"Right...That Nidoking got strong out of nowhere." Keldeo sighed as he was also feeling fatigued. Most of them were actually.

The power spots had finally died down. Even though eventually, they'll rise back up, for now, there was a time of peace and rest. Something that Equestria needed after that sudden Dynamax attack.

Virizion's group returned, seeing the others and how they've sorted out the Nidoking situation. Although, their battle did end up damaging the grasslands, which Virizion wasn't too fond of at all.

"Seems like you've won. Albeit with casualties..." Virizion observed the area.

"It was totally Nidoking's fault. Not ours." Keldeo was partially telling the truth. "What about your battle with Lopunny?"

"A smashing success and a new partner to boot." Rarity smiled with confidence as she held up the Rarityball which she caught Lopunny in.

Goh was clearly unamused since he wanted Lopunny for himself, but that capture ended up being snatched by Rarity. "My Lopunny capture..."

"Sobble..." Sobble patted Goh on the back.

"You're all a bit tired out. Return home and rest. We'll deal with any future Dynamax issues that come up." Cobalion ordered. "Just like the Ultra Beast situation.

"Right. Thanks, Cobalion." Twilight nodded. She then noticed that Absol was walking away, leaving everyone here behind without even saying goodbye. "A-Absol! Where are you going?"

"Sol." Absol replied to Twilight by giving her a small Thank You in the process. The nicest thing he's said so far.

"He says Thank you." Fluttershy translated. "But I'm not sure where he's going."

"Wherever he wants," Virizion replied. "Absol will only show up again if another disaster comes up. After all, they are fairly lone Pokemon at the end of the day."

"It's not surprising that he would leave after this was all over." Cobalion walked forward. "The path he walks on is all dependent on him."

"I suppose so." Twilight nodded. "I'm still a bit curious about why my head kept on aching when I met him the first, second and third time."

"Aching? How so?" Cobalion asked.

"When Twilight first met Absol, her head hurt like crazy." Pinkie Pie popped up behind Cobalion. "Happened yesterday and today."

"And Absol was suffering the same thing as well," Fluttershy said. "They were both also having visions of the Mega Evolution symbol too. We're not sure what that means."

"...Hm." Cobalion looked over at his fellow swords. Terrakion shrugged whilst Virizion shook her head. Keldeo was just confused. But Cobalion did have a possible answer that could relate to their sudden pain. "I'm not sure myself but...it could be that you and Absol might share an unusual connection?"

"Unusual connection?" Twilight looked up at him.

"Mhm. That's all I can say. If you ever come across Absol again, you might get the answer. For now, we'll be off." Cobalion turned around along with the other swords.

They waved the Swords of Justice Goodbye as they saw the four swords walk off into the sunset fittingly. As for Twilight and her friends, they could finally put a close to this Dynamax crisis until it sprouts back up.

It was certainly hard to ignore now ever since the first one came up in Lapras Lake.

Ponyvile, late afternoon.

Returning to Ponyville was just what they all needed. For Ash and Goh, it was Kanto that they required to have some rest and relaxation. All the while, Rarity got herself a brand new partner in the form of Lopunny.

Twilight returned to her castle, but she didn't carry on with her day at all. Instead, Twilight was now thinking about Absol and nothing else.

Ever since they first met and how they both had a similar vision and pain, questions started to swirl around Twilight's mind constantly.

What Cobalion said only heightened it further. He might be right when he said that Twilight and Absol have an unusual connection. But then again, Cobalion himself wasn't so sure about it.

Twilight was wondering if she would see Absol ever again. It was a probability since the Dynamax power spots were still around. They're not just going to go away permanently when the Pokemon is defeated. They'll be back for sure. And Absol will be there.

And speaking of the power spots, after that experience, Twilight now wanted to look into the Dynamax Phenomenon herself.

"If I can learn more about Dynamax, it could benefit us a lot in the future." Twilight stood up. She used her magic to teleport out of her castle and into her Pokemon lab, where all the necessary information could be found.

Over at the stack of Pokemon books, there were many categories for specific things. Moves, Legends and Mythicals, types, etc. One of them being stories and information about certain regions ranging from Kanto, Johto and onwards.

She was able to find a book concerning the Galar Region and its many mysteries and lore that it has to offer. She was still stuck on the Sinnoh book since it had a lot of lore to unpack. But just this once, she would skip a book and go for a new one she has yet to discover.

By scrolling through the pages, she was searching for any information concerning Dynamax.

"Let's see here. Glimwood Tangle, Macro Cosmos..." She went through the book until she finally found what she was looking for. "Aha! The Dynamax Phenomenon."

By reading the page that held Dynamax information, the young alicorn read it alongside her Pokemon. And what she found caught her interest. She already knew about how Dynamax distorts the space and world around the Pokemon themselves. But this new information was something to pay attention to.

"The Dynamax Phenomenon can also be traced back to...Wishing Stars?" Twilight scratched her mane. "A source of Dynamax energy which can be fit into a Dynamax band, allowing a trainer to Dynamax their Pokemon. Oh, just like what Ash, Leon and others own."

"Espeon..."

"Did these Wishing Stars come from above?" She turned the page, looking for further information. "The Wishing Stars did not come from above. But instead, they came from the unknown Pokemon that is the main cause for Dynamaxing. This Pokemon was defeated long ago by a hero of legend and as a result, the energy from the Pokemon leaked out during its slumber, in the form of Galar Particles."

Turning the page, she was given the sight of two humans as the art style resembled that of a Mural. "Eternatus's energy would've destroyed a part of the Galar region with a large meteor falling from above, however, a mysterious Pokemon riding a steed saved the early people of Galar."

Learning about two new mysterious Pokemon piqued her interest. What also piqued her interest was how there were two heroes in this book yet the Wyndom Stadium has a statue of one single hero.

After reading more into how Gigantamax is different from Dynamax, Twilight came across the name of the Pokemon who is the cause for the Dynamax Phenomenon in the first place.

"This Pokemon has only ever appeared once and disappeared during its defeat. It has been identified as Eternatus." Finally, she had the name and the source of Dynamax as a whole. "So this is the pokemon that causes Dynamax. Did it also power Nidoking up?"

"Tales?" Ninetales looked over at the page that had Eternatus on it. The artwork was a bit messy. It looked like someone tried to get a picture of Eternatus but only got the face and nothing else.

Opening this book right after the crisis was the best decision she had made so far. Now she has a decent grasp on Dynamax, what triggers it and where it originally comes from.

Unfortunately, there was no further information about Eternatus or Dynamax. All it did was just tell her about Max Moves, G-Max Moves and some strange soup that works on certain Pokemon. After that, Twilight closed the Galar Book, placing it back with the others.

Twilight called it a day. She was still a bit beat up after Nidoking hit her so she needed the rest. Twilight returned to her lab where her Pokemon were waiting for her.

The impact of the tree could still be felt on her back too. The sun was setting as it had an orange glow that flashed over the entirety of Ponyville.

The young alicorn looked outside the window, wondering where Absol could be right now. If the Pokedex says that they normally hide in the mountains, then surely he might be in any mountain located here in Equestria, biding his time and waiting for the next disaster to come up.

That one single thought about Absol actually made Twilight's head sting a bit. But not as much as the other times. In fact, this headache was tamer compared to the rest. Almost as a sign that it was calming down. Why that was the case was a mystery that Twilight couldn't solve.

Perhaps the mystery of Pokemon stretches far beyond than just appearances and capabilities. But it is that very mystery that gives the world of Pokemon it's distinct feeling as the journey continues.
