Pokémon and Ponies

#70-Worst-Case Desire

On a random cloud up in Equestria.

"This'll do." A smiling Lucien said as he looked over at Sienna who was holding a purple energy orb in her hands. "I think these new and improved Desires will work out."

"It should be! I worked hard on this!" Sienna nodded.

"We worked hard on this."

"Right, right. Let's see who gets lucky with these!" Sienna raised her arm as millions of purple lights scattered all across Equestria, each searching for hosts to invade.

Once they do invade them, they will officially have Desires inside of their bodies. Once somepony out there in Equestria is feeling a certain way, whether they desire something or are struggling, the Desire's will show themselves.

But they didn't go undetected whatsoever.

All the way over at Canterlot, Passion was able to sense the Desires thanks to her experience with emotions in general. She believed that she could only sense it in the Pokemon World, but now Passion could sense it here in Equestria.

"Kir! Kirlia!" Passion nudged Celestia's tail, grabbing her attention.

"What's wrong, Passion?" Celestia asked.

"Kir!" Passion tried to use her limited telepathy to speak to Celestia. She's improved since last time. Now she's able to use it for 7 seconds. "Same...thing...from Undella...Here!" She used the best of her abilities to speak.

"Same thing from Undella?" Celestia took a moment to process this. Knowing what Passion meant by Same and Undella, the Sun Princess picked up on it immediately. "I see."

"Kirlia."

"So, they're able to exist here as well...I'll have to call Twilight and the others." Celestia decided to call Twilight, Ash and their friends for this specific situation. She had something special planned.

It didn't take long for the group to arrive as they got Princess Celestia's letter to meet them here immediately. They all entered through her throne room doors along with their Pokemon.

"Princess Celestia! What happened?!" Twilight asked. "Is there something invading?!"

"Glad you could all make it." Celestia stood up from her seat. "I've called you for something rather concerning."

"It's always concerning. And we solve it no problem." Rainbow Dash scoffed.

"I know." Celestia nodded. "But listen up. Because this concerns both of our worlds. Celestia made her way over towards them, leaving her throne. "You see, Passion here had sensed something familiar enter Equestria. Something that we've encountered during our short time in Undella Town."

"Is it...a Pokemon?" Fluttershy spoke.

"Not quite." Celestia shook her head. "In fact, I would say that it's a mixture of humans, ponies and Pokemon. Possibly even more. You see, when we were at Undella, we came across these three strange entities who were representations of obsessions and needs. Each of them had something they desired. Victory, success and relief. All of those needs manifested into an entity that matched their appearance by outline."

"I beg your pardon?" Rarity pulled back. "What kind of creature's are these?

"I'm not sure what they're called honestly. This is new territory for both our worlds...Since they are manifestations of what somepony wants more than anything, I shall title them Desires. These Desires can be highly dangerous. They each have different abilities based on what they've experienced in their life."

"And you want us to take them out. No problem." Rainbow Dash grinned.

"There's more to it than just taking them out, Rainbow Dash, believe me. And besides, even though I've summoned you all here, Passion and I will be joining you in this."

"Huh? You're gonna help us with these Desires?" Pinkie pointed at Celestia then herself.

"Mhm. Passion here can interact with the Desires by connecting the original host's mind. She'll be able to help let us know exactly what is currently ongoing in their life."

"Kirlia!"

"Great! So we can get started right? Where are the Desires anyway?" Pinkie moved her head around the room.

"About that. It's unknown when they'll show up. They'll most likely appear if somepony is currently going through something difficult or has a personal need. But when they do show up, Passion will be able to sense their birth. For now, return home and relax. I shall call you when needed."

"Lia!"

"And be warned. The Desires are capable of destructive feats depending on the host. Any one of them could put a life in peril in a few minutes or less."

"Got it," Ash replied. "We'll be looking extra close!"

"Pikachu!"

The existence of the Desires was now known to Ash, Twilight and their friends. At any moment, they could show up depending on the individual and what is going through their mind.

Although, some took Celestia's suggestion a bit too seriously. Rainbow Dash was already zipping out, getting up close to ponies and in their face, trying to see if there were any signs of Desires.

"You got something you need?!" Rainbow Dash asked Amethyst Star.

"...I need my personal space." She replied.

"Alright..." Rainbow Dash backed up.

"Rainbow Dash. I'm pretty sure Princess Celestia didn't mention anything about getting in ponies' faces," said Applejack.

"She said that they're capable of destructive feats. If any of them can pop out of nowhere at any moment, then we should always be checking extra close!" Rainbow Dash crossed her hooves.

"Even so...Nopony here looks worried at all today." Rarity observed Ponyville and how it was just a normal day with nothing crazy going on. "After all, Princess Celestia did say that it's unknown when they'll show up. So it might not even be today."

"Whenever it is, be ready," Twilight said as she entered her lab. Everypony else went their separate ways, anticipating the arrival of the Desires. Whenever they show up that is. Twilight went over to 6 Poke Balls that were laid out on the table as she grabbed them all with her magic. "Alright, out you all come."

The Pokemon were for the trainers who were coming by to get their Starter Pokemon as they consisted of the following.

Treecko, Tepig, Squirtle, Tangela, Houndour and Spheal.

"Alright, you six. You've got some new trainers coming to choose you. So I want you all to be on your best behaviour, okay?"

"Squirtle!" Squirtle responded by shooting Twilight in the face with a Water Gun.

"Ugh..." Twilight wiped the water off her face. She got the necessary equipment for the trainers out of a cabinet. From the Pokedex, Poke Balls and even the Xtransceiver.

She did all this whilst still keeping a lookout for the Desires. The same goes for Spike and the Pokemon. But, as Rarity said, nopony looked worried whatsoever.

Even Princess Celestia herself wasn't so sure on when they'll show up. It could be now, later, tomorrow or even months. They're unpredictable on when they might pop out.

All the while, Lucien and Sienna spectated over the world, biding their time and waiting for the Desires to strike and pop out. Sienna especially since it is her creation.

"Waiting kinda hurts but I can guarantee it'll be worth it." She said with a cocky grin and her arms crossed whilst looking up.

"Hope so. Not many in this world can get upset that easily." Lucien scratched his hair.

"Heh. Who said they need to be upset for the Desires to come?"

"Hm?" Lucien raised an eyebrow.

"I added a little something extra to the Desires to make them more present." Sienna stood up with pride. "Sometimes, they'll show up for different reasons other than just feeling all down and gloomy. It's gonna really make the Desires pop!"

"Really?" Lucien nodded his head. "Well, this could be interesting then."

"You bet!" Sienna whacked Lucien's back, causing him to fall off the cloud.

"Ah-Aaaah!" Lucien screamed as Sienna gasped, realizing what she had just done. Thankfully, Lucien forced himself back up by teleporting. "Mrrrgh..." He growled at Sienna.

"Hehe...Sorry." Sienna twiddled her fingers.

Back at Twilight's lab, six trainers had arrived to get their Pokemon, equipment and start as trainers or coordinators. One of the two.

"Hi, there! I've been waiting for you young people!" Twilight said to the little ponies. "Welcome to my Pokemon Lab. I'm the Pokemon Professor here. Professor Twilight. Or Professor Sparkle as some ponies call me. I'm currently studying about the world of Pokemon. From their environments, how they live, evolve and more."

"Oh! I bet you've seen a lot of Pokemon and been to a bunch of places in the Pokemon World!" A colt said.

"Sure have. But I'm still discovering brand new things about the Pokemon World. From ancient civilizations and the history of certain regions. There's so many to unpack that I've practically lost count. Anyway, over here on the table are six Poke Balls, and they each contain a potential partner for you. Go ahead, choose."

Twilight sent out the six Pokemon, revealing them to the little ponies. They made their decisions by thinking about it for a while. One of these Pokemon was for each of them, and for sure, they would choose on that speaks to them.

Twilight watched as the young trainers chose their partners, holding them up on placing them on their backs.

"Good choice! I'm sure you'll go far as partners! But you'll need something extra to make it through your journey. Spike."

"I got it!" Spike brought over the Pokedex, spare Poke Balls and the Xtransceiver for the trainers.

"You'll need these for sure. The Pokedex is the perfect encyclopedia, the Poke Balls will help you find new friends and the Xtransceiver will always let you stay in contact with others." Twilight explained. "So get out there and have fun!"

"Thanks, Professor! Or do we say, princess?" A filly wondered as she ran out with the other upstart trainers, leaving Twilight's lab.

"Okay. That's that." Twilight turned around, facing the entrance to PokePark. She used her magic to pull the lever, opening the hatch to PokePark as the Pokemon there greeted her and Spike as always.

So far, everything was going smoothly today. Even with the knowledge of the Desires entering their heads, things seemed fine and peaceful here in Ponyville, which made Twilight relieved.

"You know, Spike. I get the feeling that Rarity's theory on the Desires showing up some other time instead of today might be right. If it is, then we won't have to worry about panicking so soon."

"Right. Besides, Celestia didn't say they would show up right now. We're smooth sailing today." Spike held Salamence's Poke Ball.

"You said it. Ponyville's looking fine." Twilight smiled as she sat down, opening up a book, continuing to read more about Sinnoh history. The young alicorn flipped through the pages, just calmly relaxing and reading about new information about the Pokemon World.

However, Twilight's mind decided to move back a few seconds. When said Ponyville's looking fine, it made the Princess of Friendship realize something that she hadn't taken into account. Her pupils shrunk along with her ears flopping down.

"Espeon..." Eve was about to enjoy a peaceful nap as she curled up on the floor. But that didn't last when Twilight let out an outburst.

"What if they're not in Ponyville?!" She screamed, startling all the Pokemon inside of the lab and over at PokePark, including Spike. "I didn't think about that! If the Desires aren't in Ponyville, then they're probably somewhere else in Equestria right about now! And Princess Celestia said that it concerns both worlds...which means they're probably in the Pokemon World too!"

"T-Twilight?" Spike stuttered.

"We've been sitting here without thinking about other locations, Spike!" Twilight dashed over to Spike, grabbing him by the face. "The Desires could already be causing havoc as we speak!" She bit her hoof, already starting to worry.

"Not this again..." Spike groaned. "But I guess that actually kinda makes sense. It wouldn't be just Ponyville."

"Anywhere could have a Desire right now! I'd better tell the others!" Twilight took out her Xtransceiver, attempting to contact her friends.

Unfortunately, only 2 of them were available at the moment. Ash and Rainbow Dash. Their Xtransceivers were near them most of the time whilst everypony else simply puts them away. They don't really carry them around like Ash, Twilight and Rainbow Dash.

"Twilight? What is it?" Rainbow Dash picked up her Xtransceiver along with Ash as there were three faces on the screen right now.

"We might have a problem! I thought since there wasn't anything wrong in Ponyville, the Desires just hadn't shown up yet. But I didn't take into account how other locations might have Desires already!" Twilight screeched. "Are there any in your world, Ash?!"

"Uh, no. Nothing here." Ash shook his head.

"Pikachu."

"Nothing here over at Cloudsdale either," said Rainbow Dash. "Everything looks fine, Twilight."

"Maybe there, sure. But we can't say the same for everywhere else! You're all still keeping a close eye on things right?"

"Yeah," Ash replied. "But if you say that it could be everywhere else, then what do we do?"

"We uh..." Twilight thought for a moment. Well...Princess Celestia said that she'll come to us when Passion senses them but if its multiple areas..."

"Relax, Twi." Rainbow Dash scoffed. "The princess told us to chill until she calls us. We've got some time before those Desire things show up."

"Mhm. But if there's already some of them across Equestria, then I guess it wouldn't hurt to check things out." Ash looked up.

"Pika."

"No. You're right, Rainbow Dash. I should just relax and wait for Princess Celestia to make the call. But, I'll call you if something's wrong." A worried Twilight hung up, already thinking about what the Desires could be doing at this very moment if some of them had already shown up.

"Nine..." Ninetales and the others were worried about their trainer and how she was acting at the moment. They understood her fear though.

It was hard to say if any Desires had already shown up across Equestria. Although Celestia hasn't summoned them yet, even still, Twilight couldn't help but panic.

But surprisingly, it was Twilight's own panicking and worrying nature that actually caused Ponyville to receive its first Desire. She was one of the many ponies who had been affected. Twilight's body froze as she felt an unusual pulse flow through her body.

"W-What's going on?" Her body felt like it was being split open as she got on the ground, holding her head in pain. Her Pokemon and Spike all gathered around her, seeing how their friend and trainer was suffering all of a sudden.

"Twilight! Are you okay?!" Spike asked. "Is Absol nearby?!"

"N-No! This is different! I don't know what's happening!" Twilight growled. She believed this pain would go on for a long time, but in reality, it was fairly short yet still agonizing.

With her being one of the main ponies affected, her Desire had finally come out of her. This Desire was exactly what it looked like. A purple outline of Twilight, much like the first three humans who had their Desires come out.

The pony-shaped Desire flew out of Twilight's body as the young alicorn fell on her back, no longer feeling that agonizing pain anymore.

And as to be expected, all the way over at Canterlot, Passion had sensed the birth of a new Desire.

The sight of the first pony Desire captivated Spike and the others whilst Twilight was still recovering after that body separation.

"Espeon...?" Eve gazed at the Desire as it felt like seeing double Twilight.

"Nine?"

"Ccino?"

"Twilight...?" Spike tilted his head, feeling a bit confused right now.

"Yeah?" Twilight got up as she held her head. The young alicorn noticed how her friends were all looking in one single direction as if something had caught their attention. And something did catch their attention, and very soon Twilight herself.

She looked to where they were facing as Twilight had been graced with the sight of her Desire. The manifestation of her emotions had been realized.

"What if...!" The Desire Twilight suddenly spoke. Much like the first three Desires, its vocabulary was very limited. Sienna didn't think or bother to give them an extensive vocabulary.

"What the..." Twilight stood up as she had no idea what to think of this. There was a second her. But an outline instead of a full-body entity. "Who are you...?"

"What if!" The Desire gave a response to Twilight. But one that was of violent intent. Every Desires main goal is to complete their body and replace their host entirely.

The Desire Twilight spread her wings out, intimidating everypony here as it was already slowly absorbing the life force of Twilight without her even realizing.

"W-What does it want?!" Spike backed up.

"Stay behind me, Spike!" Twilight got in front of him, putting her wing out. "If it came out of me and looks like me...then this must be a Desire!"

"Espeon!" Eve and the others stood beside Twilight, growling at the Desire.

"If...What if!" But surprisingly, the Desire Twilight wasn't planning on attacking Twilight. Its main objective was to head out and cause as much chaos as it can.

And that's what it did. Instead of using the wings that it came with, the Desire instead used some of Twilight's magic to teleport out of here, leaving their line of sight and the entire Pokemon Lab.

"Where'd it go?!" Spike looked outside.

"Teleportation." Twilight narrowed her eyes. "It could be anywhere by now. Let's go!"

"Right now?"

"Yes, right now! No time for idle chit-chat! Who knows what kind of destruction it could cause!"

The Desire had already arrived outside. Much like its original host Twilight, it wasted no time getting to work. The last three Desires were capable of freezing areas, manipulating electronics and battle intuition due to who they originally came from.

Twilight's Desire was based on one thing. And that one thing was also represented by the single phrase it said. "What if..."

The Desire set its sights on the Cutie Mark Crusaders, who weren't ready for what was about to come their way. That's when the Desire revealed what it was capable of.

This Desire is based on Twilight's constant state of worrying and thinking about the worst-case scenarios without having much time to relax. Thus, the ability of this Desire was being able to create actual worst-case scenarios by making them a reality.

By hiding in the shadows and concealing itself, it started by zapping all three of the Crusaders at the same time with one magic beam that caused a chain reaction through their heads.

The CMC froze for a bit as their minds were being invaded by cosmic energy and the essence of Twilight to an extent. The energy from the Desire searched for every memory that the three of them owned, seeing which one it could utilize.

That's when it found something juicy. The energy left their minds as it had found three memories from their past experiences.

These memories had concluded long ago as the worst-case scenario never happened. But since the Desire intervened and dug into their memories, it twisted the ending of that experience into something worse.

"Ugh, my head..." Scootaloo and her friends felt a bit woozy. They weren't sure what happened, but they felt like somepony had invaded their minds without their permission.

"Whew...!" Sweetie Belle shook her head. "That was weird. What do you think haaaaaaaaaaa!" She gasped all of a sudden as her widened eyes had seen something unexpected and horrifying.

"What? What happened?" Apple Bloom asked as she held her head. Very soon, she saw the same thing Sweetie Belle had seen as they were both looking at Scootaloo. "W-Waaaah?!"

"What's wrong with you two? You look like you've seen a-" And finally, Scootaloo saw it as well. Her reaction was similar to that of her friends.

What did happen exactly?

It was simple. The memory the Desire invaded ended up being the time the CMC finally got their Cutie Marks. It took that entire memory and gave it a horrible twist.

The Cutie Mark Crusaders no longer had their Cutie Marks.

As to be expected, they freaked out as they each let out ear-piercing screams that could shatter windows. "W-W-Where's my Cutie Mark! Where's your Cutie Mark?!" Sweetie Belle screeched.

"I don't know!" Scootaloo bit her hoof as she ran around like a dog chasing its tail, trying to see if she could spot it. But there was nothing.

"W-What do we do?! Is this bad?! It is isn't it?!" Apple Bloom whimpered.

"Uh...Uh..." Scootaloo looked around, seeing if she could find some help. She spotted Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon nearby. Two very good friends of theirs. "Diamond Tiara! Silver Spoon!"

The CMC dashed over to the duo, grabbing the attention of them both. "Hm?" Diamond Tiara raised an eyebrow.

"You gotta help us! Cutie Marks! Gone!" Apple Bloom aggressively poked her hoof on Sweetie Belle's flank.

"Knock it off!" Sweetie Belle knocked her hoof away.

"Our Cutie Marks suddenly disappeared! See? Look!" Scootaloo and her friends showed how they no longer had their unified marks at all.

"Why are you showing me something that never existed in the first place?" Diamond Tiara replied as her response shocked the three of them.

"Huh?" They raised their eyebrows in unison.

"You're acting weirder than normal. Blank Flanks." Diamond Tiara chuckled as she and Silver Spoon walked off, leaving the CMC flabbergasted.

"W-What?" Sweetie Belle stammered. "What just happened?"

To the trio, they had no idea what was going on or why Diamond Tiara suddenly reverted to her old self. But the Desire, whilst being mostly mindless with a small semblance of the original host's intellect, knew the reason why.

Because it had twisted the original outcome of that one scenario, the hard work the CMC had done was essentially altered. Diamond Tiara never became their friend and they were never able to help her or earn their Cutie Marks.

This Desire had the ability to manipulate important events as long as it finds a memory it can interact with. After messing with the CMC, the Desire had gained some extra life force as it scattered into cosmic particles, off to find somepony else to ruin.

Twilight arrived outside, searching Ponyville for her Desire. She took the skies, seeing if she could find it with a birds-eye-view. But nothing so far.

"Not here. Where could it have gone?" Twilight wondered. At ground level, Spike and the Pokemon were also searching, but they couldn't spot the Desire anywhere.

Even if it had a very out there appearance with that dazzling outline, the shadows were an excellent place for the Desire to hide.

Twilight and Spike did spot something unusual other than the Desire. They saw the Cutie Mark Crusaders and how they no longer had their Cutie Marks on them.

Naturally, this caught their curiosity as Twilight and Spike approached the trio. "Cutie Mark Crusaders! What happened to your Cutie Marks?!" Twilight asked.

"I-I-I-I don't know!" Scootaloo stuttered. "They just vanished out of nowhere!"

"We didn't even see it happen!" Apple Bloom shook her head.

"Well...we did feel something weird in our heads and then we saw that they were gone. And this little beam from somewhere." Sweetie Belle said.

"Weird in your heads...Beam..." Twilight stayed on those words for a bit. She added that up to their missing Cutie Marks and came to an obvious conclusion. She knew that the Desire was behind this somehow. "Tell me. Did you see what fired the beam in the first place?"

"No, we didn't see who did it. We were just hanging out." Scootaloo whimpered. "Then this happened." She looked over at her flank, already missing her mark.

"Then that means...The Desire might have the ability to remove Cutie Marks."

"Remove Cutie Marks?!" Sweetie Belle squealed.

"W-What's a Desire?" Scootaloo asked.

"Princess Celestia said that they're manifestations of obsessions and needs. My Desire is currently roaming about. But I'm not sure how stealing a Cutie Mark relates to me."

"It most likely doesn't." A familiar voice passed through Twilight's ears. That familiar voice was none other than Princess Celestia, who had already shown up here with Passion.

"Princess Celestia!" Twilight exclaimed.

"Passion has sensed a Desire being born here. And I take it it's yours."

"Looks like it. My own Desire came out of me. Can't believe I was the first..." Twilight lowered her head.

"I'm so confused! I just want my Cutie Mark back!" Sweetie Belle wailed.

"Your Cutie Marks are most likely linked to the Desire. If we stop it, the damage it caused will fade away. Passion, have you found it yet?" Celestia asked her partner.

"Lia. Kirlia!" Passion had sensed the Desire as it was still present in Ponyville. "Kir!"

"Good. Come along, Twilight. Before it causes more harm." Celestia followed Passion's directions as the Emotion Pokemon acted as a radar for Desires.

"R-Right!" Twilight and Spike followed along with their Pokemon.

The hunt for the Desire had begun. At first, it seemed difficult to track it down. But with Passion here, being able to sense it from any direction, they would be able to find it with no issues.

There was no telling what else Twilight's Desire could do. After changing the outcome of the CMC's scenario with Diamond Tiara, the Desire seemed to hold abilities that were comparable to the most advanced spells out there.

It had found a second target to intervene against. That being Pinkie Pie. The Desire stood in the shadows that were cast by SugarCube Corner as it looked through the window, spotting the pink pony.

"Check out Spinda's new move. Use Metronome Spinda!" Pinkie commanded her partner.

"Spin!" The Spot Panda Pokemon raised her hands, waving them back and forth as Jade and the Cake Twins leaned in to see what this Metronome move was all about. Spinda's arms began glowing white as it had found a random move to use.

The move that Metronome gave her was the signature move of Chesnaught. Spiky Shield. Spinda curled up as a round green shield surrounded her body. Out of the shield came spikes that extended, almost hitting Pinkie and Jade in the face.

"Oooh...So it's a random move every time?" said Jade.

"Yup! That's what they told me. Can you imagine what Spinda can do now?!" Pinkie picked up Spinda who came out of Spiky Shield.

"Da!"

As Pinkie babbled on about her Spinda, the Desire took the opportunity to invade her memories by zapping through the window, leaving a small hole and crack in it.

The beam of cosmic energy entered Pinkie Pie's mind, forcing the pink pony to stop talking. Jade raised an eyebrow as she had an odd tingling sensation flow through her. As if something related to her was nearby.

"Pinkie?" Jade tilted her head.

"Aaaah...!" Pinkie was numb as she stood there like a zombie, frozen and dull with barely any movements. All the while, her mind was being invaded.

The Desire had struck gold with Pinkie Pie's memories. So many of them were pivotal and important moments in her life that either made her the pony she is today, moments that involve the ones she loves etc.

The Desire was actually having a tough time choosing. Until it decided to just invade whichever and it will still have a huge impact either way.

However, since the Desire was by origin a being of cosmic energy, Jade, who was also a being made out of cosmic energy, could sense something off as her mane started flowing up.

The Rift Pony had once again gone through a moment where her inner Rift energy kicks in without her knowing. She could sense where the familiar energy was coming from as she turned her head to the window, spotting the Desire.

"What is that?" Jade pointed her hoof over at the window where the Desire stood at.

But even after noticing it, Pinkie's mind was still being invaded as the Desire was digging into the memory of when she went to the Mirror Pool and brought out multiple clones of herself.

If the Desire meddles with this memory and changes the outcome, then Pinkie Pie would end up being replaced by a clone. Whether that was good or bad was a mystery in its own right.

However, Jade could also see that Pinkie was being influenced by Desire. That beam was engraved in her head as it was forcing Pinkie to act motionless.

Jade made the wise decision of pushing Pinkie Pie away from the beam as the Desire couldn't finish meddling with the memory thanks to Jade's actions.

"Hoo...boy." Pinkie felt a bit doozy as her eyes and tail spun around. "That felt funny, ya know."

"Pinkie Pie. Look." Jade turned Pinkie's attention to the Desire that was still standing outside near the window.

"Twilight?" Pinkie squinted her eyes, getting a better look at the Desire.

"What if..." The Desire had seen how its cover had been blown thanks to Jade being aware, thus, it slowly backed away, attempting to find another victim.

But it wasn't just Pinkie and Jade who had spotted her. Celestia, Twilight, Spike and Passion had found the Desire thanks to Passion tracking it down.

"There you are," Celestia said, startling the Desire.

"What if?!"

"I don't know how you did it, but give the Cutie Mark Crusaders' Cutie Marks back!" Twilight lit up her horn.

"What if..." The Desire obviously wasn't going to listen to its host, whatsoever. Since infiltrating Pinkie Pie's memories was a failure thanks to Jade, a different victim had to be found.

Luckily for the Desire, it had a few to choose from that were standing right in front of it. Feeling lucky, the Desire turned around to face Spike, choosing him as its next target. A beam of cosmic energy shot out of its head, connecting Spike's as Twilight and Celestia gasped.

"O-O-Ooooh..." Spike entered the same motionless state the CMC and Pinkie Pie were put in earlier.

The Desire was prepared to find any juicy memory in Spike's head but was promptly stopped thanks to the interference of Celestia, who knocked away the Desire's beam with her magic, freeing Spike from its clutches.

"Ow!" Spike held his head, feeling a bit woozy.

"Spike! Are you okay!?" Twilight went over to him. "What did it do to you?!"

"No idea...I think it was getting in my head." Spike groaned.

"What if..." The Desire growled, seeing how Celestia was about to be a huge nuisance that might end up getting in its way. Which she would for sure.

"Let's finish this as soon as we can. If we can weaken it, then Passion will be able to approach it." Celestia's horn lit up, ready to weaken the Desire.

This scenario didn't go unnoticed. Pinkie and Jade came outside to see exactly what was going on. The sight of two Twilight's was a bit odd for Pinkie Pie's eyes. Especially since one is just an outline and nothing more. At least, at the moment.

"What if!" The Desire didn't just have Twilight's magic at its disposal. It backed away, entering daylight as it was no longer hiding the shadows. Another way of having a sort of offence and defence was how the Desire also came with Pokemon of its own.

Being the manifestation based on Twilight, it had her Pokemon as well. By just willing it, the Desire had created three Pokemon identical to Twilight's out of thin air as particles of cosmic energy swirled around, bringing these Pokemon to reality.

From, Eve, Ninetales and Minccy, they all had the same outline as the Desire, but their bodies were more complete than the Desire.

"D-D-Did it just...?" Twilight raised her hoof, stuttering.

"It's your Desire. Meaning that it comes with everything you possess." Celestia explained as she stepped forward, facing the Desire. "And I suppose with the Pokemon beside it, this won't be easy whatsoever.

"Wait, I'm confused. What's going?" Pinkie moved her head to Twilight and the Desire, wanting an explanation. "Is that what a Desire looks like? Can it just create Pokemon like that?"

"What if...!" The Desire commanded its Pokemon to attack Celestia and others so that they won't get in its way of plans to alter scenarios.

"Here they come...Prepare yourself, Passion."

"Kirlia...!"

"If! What if!" The Desire raised its hoof, commanding its own Ninetales to attack by using Quick Attack to do so. The Fox Pokemon moved at lightning speeds, leaving behind a trail of energy with silver streaks.

"Passion! Hold Ninetales!"

"Lia!" The Emotion Pokemon put her arms out, staying firmly in one spot. Once the Fox Pokemon got close, Passion used her mind to hold Ninetales in place as a pink outline overlayed Ninetales's purple cosmic outline.

"Nine?!"

"Now send Ninetales back!

"Kirlia!" Passion then forced Ninetales back at its trainer by controlling the Fox Pokemon with her mind. The Fire-Type was rocketed back at high-speeds, crashing into the Desire, along with the other two Pokemon that were beside it.

"What if?!" The Desire groaned as it tumbled on the ground, along with its Pokemon. "What if...!"

"Let's see if we can enter inside of the Desire at this point. Now grab the Desire, Passion!"

"Kirlia!" Passion moved in, ready to put an end to this as she hovered.

"What if!" But the Desire wasn't about to let itself lose here. Not until it had found another memory to alter. The Desire stood up, aiming to affect Passion herself.

A beam of cosmic energy was sent out of its horn, racing towards the Emotion Pokemon. "Dodge it!" Celestia commanded.

"Kir!" Passion flew over the beam, avoiding it as it almost hit Spike, but it just missed. The Emotion Pokemon appeared in front of the Desire, putting her hands out as she used psychic capabilities to hold the Desire in place.

"What...if?!"

"Kirlia...!" Passion was ready to get this all over with. Like how she did with the previous Desire's, the Emotion Pokemon linked her mind with the Desire's and essentially Twilight to an extent.

She put herself and the Desire in a meditative state as her eyes flashed. She was expecting to find something, but to Passion's surprise, there was nothing.

It wasn't that there wasn't anything inside of the Desire's mind that relates to it having the ability to create the worst-case scenarios, instead, Sienna and Lucien had fine-tuned the Desires whilst working on them.

Before, they could be stopped by just entering their minds. However, the two of them had made it so that only a few of them can be defeated via mind infiltration.

Like the first Desire which was based off a random trainer who wanted to win against Cynthia no matter what, The other Desires require different methods to stop them. And this Desire was one of them.

"K-Kirlia?" Passion backed up, confused as to why she couldn't see inside of the Desire.

"What's wrong Passion?" Celestia asked.

"What if...!" The Desire slapped Passion with its hoof, sending the Emotion Pokemon flying back to her trainer.

"Kir!"

"Passion!" Celestia caught Passion in her hooves. "Why didn't it work?"

"What if...!" The Desire, now more violent than ever, commanded all three of its Pokemon to attack at the same time. And that's what they did. The fake Espeon, Cinccino and Ninetales all ran past their trainer, aiming at subduing the ponies so that the Desire can infiltrate their minds.

"Quick, Eve! Use Dazzling Gleam!" Twilight gasped as she commanded Eve.

"Espeon!" The Sun Pokemon created a rainbow-coloured sphere around her body as she launched herself at the three Pokemon.

The fake Espeon also used Dazzling Gleam, showing that it had also mimicked Eve's moves as well. Not just her appearance. The two Dazzling Gleam's collided as they both entered a small struggle. Their strengths were also equal as well.

"Passion! Use Plasma Bolt!" Celestia had come up with a name for Passion's plasma since it was exclusive to just her.

"Kirlia!" Passion hopped out of Celestia's hooves as she spun around, creating plasma itself in her hands by combining Mystical Fire with Thunderbolt. She then put her hands out, sending a blast of plasma downwards that struck both Ninetales and Cinccino at the same time.

Eve had managed to win over the fake Espeon by just edging out and gaining a small bit of extra strength. With that boost, the Sun Pokemon broke through Espeon's sphere, shattering it. The Fake Espeon had been hit by Dazzling Gleam, sending it flying back to the Desire.

"What if...!" The Desire could see that it was losing horribly at the moment. Celestia's Kirlia had already managed to heavily damage its Pokemon with Plasma Bolt and Eve proved to be superior over the fake Espeon.

All three of its Pokemon had been sent towards the Desire, already on the verge of fainting.

"Now then." Celestia took one step forward, startling the Desire. "Let's try this again."

"W-What...What if..." The Desire backed up as it was actually intimidated by Celestia. The Sun Princess narrowed her eyes at the Desire, only intimidating it further.

But, that intimidation from Celestia was also a catalyst for the Desire. Since this Desire was the manifestation of Twilight imagining the worst-case scenarios, one of the many things that involve those scenarios, if not most of them, is mainly Princess Celestia.

Twilight at times fears scenarios that go wrong which involves Celestia herself. Whether it'd be the test she took during the Crystal Empire, when Celestia faced Ghetsis for the first time or when Passion's own explosive power was threatening to destroy both worlds, Twilight always thought about Celestia and how something horrible could happen to her.

And that's what it took. The method of defeating this one single Desire wasn't infiltrating its mind. Instead, it was to defeat it with its own machinations.

The Desire was now acting like Twilight herself. In a sense that it was thinking about the worst-case scenarios that could happen to itself. Mainly involving Celestia and what she might do to it.

"W-What...If-What-IF!" The Desire was suddenly stuttering, shaking uncontrollably as it looked like it was malfunctioning in a sense.

"What's it doing...?" Spike said.

"No idea...This is new to me." Celestia shook her head.

"If...! IF! What if?!" All of a sudden, out of nowhere, the Desire just self-destructed where it stood. An explosion of cosmic energy erupted from that spot as it was almost large enough to hit the buildings, but not quite.

Celestia placed a protective barrier around them, shielding her friends from the explosion as everypony was startled by it. It was impossible to ignore something like that.

It seemed like the Desire had been finished off by its own traits. However, one single cosmic particle managed to survive as it flew out of the cosmic smoke, showing that Twilight's Desire was still alive and around.

As for the rest of the Desire's body, it was gone. That explosion took itself out. It couldn't bear to think about the worst-case scenarios. So as a result, it self-destructed from overthinking.

"W-What happened?!" Twilight leaned forward.

"I believe it may have self-destructed." Celestia and other citizens of Ponyville went over to the spot the Desire used to be as a small crater had been formed. "Whatever may have happened must've caused it to breakdown."

"Kirlia..."

"S-So...does this mean it's gone?" Spike stammered.

"Possibly. Let's check." Celestia turned her attention to the Cutie Mark Crusaders since they were the first to be heavily affected by the Desire.

The CMC all felt a tingling sensation inside of them as they were jittering about. They thought that their minds were being messed with again by the Desire, but that wasn't the case.

Due to 99% of the Desire being destroyed, the effects it created had been reversed. As such, the CMC's regained the Cutie Marks once more as flashes of light surrounded their flanks.

Naturally, they were overjoyed.

"Yes! Oh, it's so good to have these back!" Scootaloo exclaimed.

"I was about to breakdown there for a second!" Sweetie Belle laughed nervously.

"Thank Celestia!" Apple Bloom fell on her back, feeling relieved.

"It's gone." Celestia nodded her head. "But it seems that like the first Desire we encountered...there are other ways to defeat the Desires. I'll keep that in mind."

"Phew." Twilight sighed. "I can't believe I ended up creating my own Desire. That's what I get for panicking..."

"No need to worry, Twilight." Celestia put her wing over her fellow alicorn. "Just be glad that it's over. For now. Other Desires could still show up after all."

"Right." Twilight nodded.

"Well. We've done our job here. Let's go, Passion."

"Kirlia!" Passion hopped on Celestia's back as the two were ready to call it a day and head back home via teleportation.

With the Desire's effects on the CMC gone, this also meant that Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon had returned to their current selves. The outcome of that specific scenario had been restored.

"Oh, my head...What happened?" Diamond Tiara went over to the CMC who backed up away from her. "What's wrong with you three?"

"Nothing..." Apple Bloom narrowed her eyes.

"Hm. I had a huge case of Deja vu for some reason..." Diamond Tiara groaned as she walked off.

"Guess it wasn't just us feeling weird, huh?" Sweetie Belle grinned as the CMC laughed in unison.

The fourth Desire had been defeated, but a semblance of it remained. The 1% was floating somewhere in Equestria now, merely a tiny piece of stardust with a bit of Twilight Sparkle inside of it. Whatever happens to it next is a mystery.

Pokemon School, Afternoon, Thursday.

Classes had just finished for the students as most of them were heading home. Keyword being most.

The ones who stayed behind were Twilight, Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie. For one reason that correlates back to their experience in the Frenzy Forest.

They stayed behind to learn more about Psychic and Fairy. More importantly, the latent Psychic energy and Fairy magic that lays dormant in them.

The two teachers who would instruct them were fittingly Olympia and Valerie, who had enough time to teach them all they needed to know.

For Twilight, Olympia would be teaching her and Valerie would be handling Fluttershy and Pinkie respectively as they were each in separate classrooms. Twilight had her Espeon out since it is her only Psychic-Type Pokemon she always has beside her.

In Olympia's classroom, it was designed like an Occult room but with Psychic themes instead. The symbol of the Psychic-Type logo was everywhere. On the walls, ceilings and even floor, as if there were eyes constantly staring at all times.

Not only that but most of the wall was designed after Olympia's cosmic cape to give it that extra flare. And mostly because Olympia thought it would look nice.

"Glad you could make it, Princess Twilight," Olympia spoke to her and Eve. "We have enough time to cover a lot until the schools close."

"I'm so excited! It'll be like having a secondary magic!" Twilight squeed.

"Espeon!"

"I'm glad you've taken an interest to this. But, princess. For teachings such as this, you'll need to have 100% focus. Psychic requires the peak and full concentration of the mind to make progress."

"Yes, Ms Olympia!"

"Eon!"

"Right. Now let's get started. But first. You must know about the 4 levels. It is highly important."

"4 levels? What are those?"

"The first one is the most common. Psionics. Most Psychic-Types can learn this without any problems whatsoever. Even if they're not powerful at all. That is where you and your Espeon are currently at."

"Esp?" Espeon looked up at Twilight.

"The second one is more advanced and one that I possess. Absolute Psionic. Many High-Class Psychic trainers, such as myself fit into this category. This level is the one you must strive to achieve the most. Absolute Psionic lets you tap into the raw psionic might of the Psychic-Type. Much like how Dragons are the rawest form of magic out there."

"Ooh...But wait. If you're only at the second level, what about the rest? Are there trainers much better than you?"

"Unfortunately, the second level is the maximum limitation for trainers. The third and fourth are exclusively for Pokemon only. The third level is for Pokemon such as Slowking, Reuniclus, Metagross and Alakazam. Pokemon with high intelligence. One of the many traits that come with the third level is being able to speak with telepathy."

"Oh, yeah. I know about that one." Twilight nodded. "But wait, Darkrai's not a Psychic-Type. And he can speak with Telepathy."

"There are some exceptions. At times, you don't need to be a Psychic-Type to speak with telepathy. Besides. Telepathy is just the simpler part of the third level. It is much more complex. But not as complex as the last one. Psychopotence. Very few Psychic-Type Pokemon can achieve this level. And I mean very few."

"W-What's Psychopotence capable of?"

"Ah, you'll have to work hard to know about that. But the one thing you should know is that the only Pokemon capable of Psychopotence are Legendary Pokemon. The pinnacle of Pokemon."

"R-Right." Twilight nodded.

"Right now, let's focus mainly on the first level. We'll start with something simple. Levitate an object up."

"That's it? Pssh. That's easy." Twilight's horn lit up as she was aiming for a pen.

"Without using magic."

"Huh?" Twilight's horn stopped glowing.

"Psychic is all about the mind. Therefore you must only utilize your mental capabilities without using your magic. Like so." Olympia held her hand out, bringing over a Poke Ball with her mind as she grabbed ahold of it.

"No magic...Okay." Twilight took a deep breath. "But how do I do it exactly? I mean, I'm not sure if I've got some Psychic in me at all."

"Your bond with your Espeon grants you the minimum essence of a Psychic. Therefore, you should be able to perform simple and easy Telekinesis. Let your Espeon give you an example."

"Esp." Eve closed her eyes as she focused her attention on the pen. By using her psychic capabilities, Eve lifted the pen with ease as she placed it back down.

"Telekinesis is connected to the mind of the user. It can either be activated and controlled through conscious effort and concentration, through willpower and emotions or even a state of discipline and serenity. You must focus on what you want to control."

"Focus on what I want to control. Okay." Twilight felt ready this time. She wasn't sure what it would feel like using psychic abilities for the first time, but she was prepared to embrace it.

The young alicorn closed her eyes as she was only thinking about the pen. She had a strong urge to use magic right about now since it would be a lot easier. But she took this lesson seriously so Twilight refused to use any magic.

She puffed her cheeks as her face was turning red. The minimal psychic energy that laid dormant in her was starting to build up for the very first time.

Twilight felt an odd sensation rush through her entire body as if something new had just been discovered in her. In a way, it was similar to her magic. Only it was on a more spiritual level.

Eve locked her eyes on the pen, wondering if Twilight was actually going to pull it off whilst Olympia just watched. And lo and behold, Twilight managed to achieve something.

She was able to lift the pen up in the air and hold it there. Twilight had learned the first two basic levels of Psionics. Binding and Levitation.

"Esp! Espeon!" Eve nudged Twilight's hoof, telling her to look at what she's doing right now.

"Hm?" Twilight opened one eye as she kept her concentration firm. Once she opened that eye, Twilight saw how she had actually managed to control the pen, keeping it in place. "Oh! Ah!" Twilight opened up her other eye as her jaw dropped. "I did it!"

And at that moment, she lost her concentration, forcing the pen to land back on the table. "Hm. A fine job." Olympia nodded. "You've achieved Binding and Levitation. A good start, Princess Twilight."

"Thank you!" Twilight held Eve in her hooves.

"Now. Let's try it again. But this time on slightly heavier objects."

"Okay!"

Twilight's lesson had just begun and already she was starting to make progress. She's for sure a pony who knows how to focus and concentrate on something when she puts her mind to it. So it's no wonder why a semblance of Psychic energy lays with her.

As for Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie, their lesson with Valerie about Fairy-Types was much different from Twilight's Psychic-Type lesson. Instead of the Pokemon, the trainer was the largest focus of this. Mostly because Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie are now part fairies. Their lesson was on the more laid-back and explanatory side compared to Olympia's focused and active side.

Valerie's classroom was shaped like a heart with butterfly wings, meant to mimic the Fairy-Type logo. There was an overwhelming abundance of pink, everywhere. Whether it was the walls, the floor, ceiling or even Valerie, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy and Audino themselves.

"Okay." Valerie sat down. "Now that you two are Half-Fairy, that means I can teach you about Fairy Physiology."

"Fairy Physiology?" Pinkie and Fluttershy said at the same time.

"Mhm." Valerie nodded. "Or Fey Physiology as some like to call it. It essentially means that you are now two species in one. Your original pony selves and a Fairy."

"Ooh..." Pinkie looked at her hoof. "So what does that mean if we're part Fairy?"

"Well, for starters, a fairly impressive one is that you are only slightly harmed by Dragon-Type attacks." Valerie dropped a shocker on them.

"Slightly?!" Pinkie gasped.

"Mhm. For example, if say a Dragon Pulse was sent your way, the attack would hurt, however, your Fairy Physiology enhances your conditions. Since you have Fairy magic within you, the Dragon Pulse would only slightly harm you, whereas, with anyone else, the attack would cause them great pain. Your bodies are now made of magic."

"I see. That's..." Fluttershy thought for a moment. "That's actually useful now that I think about it."

"Audino."

"Yeah, it is!" Pinkie dashed over. "We're extra built now! Now no Dragon's gonna stand in our way!" She flexed her hooves.

"That just comes naturally with Fairies. Another thing that comes naturally is your connection to the world and Pokemon itself. Like how I can communicate with some Pokemon, like my Sylveon. But I know you're already experienced in that Fluttershy."

"Oh, yeah. Fluttershy got the creature communication thing down from Day 1." Pinkie placed her hoof around Fluttershy's neck. "She's a real expert!"

"Then, in that case, I won't need to teach you about that part. But I will teach you about the common traits that come with Fairy magic. Let's start with something small. Fluttershy, try Mega Evolving your Audino."

"Okay." Fluttershy nodded as she put her hoof out, looking at her Mega Ring. She activated the keystone, which interacted with Audino's keystone as two separate lights clashed against each other whilst the transformation took place.

Once the Mega Evolution occurred and Mega Audino showing up, Valerie could now teach Fluttershy about some fairly useful tricks that come with being Half-Fairy.

"Dino!"

"Good. Now let's go over the two applications. Fairy Empathy and Sensory Scrying. The second one is also important for you too, Pinkie Pie. First, we'll look at Fairy Empathy. Being able to understand and feel Fairy emotions."

"What's different about Fairy emotions?" Fluttershy asked.

"Well, Fairies tend to have a lot of emotion building up within them. Whether they're good or bad. Princess Celestia's Kirlia is the best example of that. Especially once she finally becomes a Gardevoir."

"It's kinda taking a long time for her to do so..." Pinkie whispered to Fluttershy.

"If you can understand the true emotions of a Fairy, you'll be able to understand any emotion of all Pokemon without even having to get close to them."

"Oh, okay. So how do I start?" said Fluttershy.

"Try touching Audino and see what happens."

So that's what Fluttershy did. By placing her hoof on her Audino's stomach, the pegasus was immediately put into a meditative state as a pulse of pink energy flowed through her body, filling the entire room.

Before she knew it, Fluttershy could sense all of Audino's emotions at once. Not just a single emotion. The number of emotions being sent to her head was a bit overwhelming as Fluttershy backed away, gasping. "W-What was that?"

"Audino?"

"Sorry." Valerie bowed her head. "I should've warned you about how overwhelming it can be. But right now, you have just felt every single one of Audino's emotions at the same time instead of one. Fairy Empathy allows you to read emotions faster than you can imagine. It's also a great help in battles."

"Sweet!" Pinkie shot up. "Sounds perfect to me!"

"Almost perfect. It does come with its limitations. The biggest one is that you can be easily possessed by spirits and Ghost-Type Pokemon, as they are beings bound by emotions. Also, it has no effect against Psychic Pokemon and trainers since they're the true experts of the mind."

"Oh. That Ghost part doesn't sound so fun." Pinkie slumped.

"Right. But even that can be counteracted. With Fairy Aura."

"Fairy Aura?" Both Fluttershy and Pinkie said in unison.

"Mhm. The best example of this is the Legendary Pokemon Xerneas. The Life Pokemon. Xerneas can create an aura of Fairy energy around its body and use it to either expel certain attacks or fill an opponent or oneself with happiness and bliss."

"That would explain some Fairy-Type moves..." Fluttershy nodded.

"Fairy Aura is similar to that of Lucario's Aura. Although, my knowledge about that kind of Aura is limited. But I do know that they both allow the user to sense the Aura of others and the surrounding area, read the thoughts and actions of beings and such."

"This is a lot to take in. I knew Fairy Pokemon were all about magic but..." Fluttershy looked at her Audino.

"Ah! Am I making it too complex! Sorry!" Valerie apologized.

"It's fine! We're kinda getting it." Pinkie Pie said. "What else is there?"

"Well um...Let's try...Oh! I should probably mention this. Depending on your partner, you can borrow a few of their traits."

"Borrow? Like what?" Pinkie Pie asked.

"Well, Audino's greatest asset is her enhanced hearing. So, Fluttershy. Thanks to your bond with Audino, you can learn her hearing trait. It won't be as impressive as Audino's, but it'll definitely help you in certain situations."

"You can borrow traits form Pokemon?" Fluttershy thought for a moment. "Oh, right. I did hear that Aura Guardians can use Aura Sphere too."

"And Pinkie Pie. You can learn how to enhance your sense of smell thanks to your Slurpuff."

"I can learn how to smell tasty stuff from far away..." Pinkie gasped as her pupils expanded. She was already thinking of all the ways she could utilize that potent sense of smell.

"For example, I have a strong bond with my Sylveon. I have one single trait from her and that's being able to soothe the mind. Like so." Valerie went over to Fluttershy, putting her hands on her face.

Fluttershy then felt a soft and relaxing wave pass through her body, putting her into a soothing and relaxed state. "Aaah..."

"See? Very soon, you can hear and smell better than you normally can." Valerie removed her hands.

"Great! When can we get started!" Pinkie jumped.

"Well actually, I can't help you with that one. Only your Pokemon can. You already have a strong bond with them. So all you have to do is build further on it. But I can teach you sensory scrying. In which you can see through the eyes of your Pokemon. It helps make you sync well with your partner."

"Like Ash-Greninja and Rainbow-Braviary?" Fluttershy said.

"Like those two yes. Now then. We don't have long until the school closes for the day. So we'll wrap up with a simple breathing exercise. It works well with Fairy magic."

"Okie Dokie! I wanna learn how to have Slurpuff's sense of smell already!"

Valerie's class with Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie was more laid-back and calm, compared to Olympia's class with Twilight and Espeon.

And speaking of those two, Twilight had now learned to levitate heavier objects with her mind. She was currently levitating a book and a chair at the moment. Two objects in one. Although, Twilight had to puff her cheeks to even maintain control.

"Mrrrph..." Twilight groaned.

"Very good, Princess Twilight. Now you can try the slightly more advanced form of Telekinesis. Try bringing the objects over to you.

"A-Alright..." Twilight put more focus on her thought as she attempted to bring the book and chair her way. It looked like it would be successful since the objects were slowly moving her way. However, perhaps she was focusing too much.

Since she was pushing herself with her mind, she ended up levitating another object in the form a table. At first, it seemed impressive to Olympia. But it was then realized that Twilight was starting to lose control over her own abilities.

Her control was so loose that she was even managing to shake the room itself. And if she continued any further, things might get a bit destructive.

"Princess Twilight. You might want to relax a bit." Olympia warned her.

"Hold on...I think I've got it...!" Twilight believed she could do it and that prompted her mind to accelerate. However, due to that pressure, Twilight's mind went through a bit of expenditure.

Before she knew it, Twilight lost her concentration as she almost passed out from all that power. "Ow!" Twilight held her head, feeling a splitting headache come to her.

"Espeon?!" Eve went over to her partner to see if she was alright.

"I-I'm fine, Eve. I think."

"That was impressive lifting three heavy objects, but...a bit too much," Olympia said.

"Sorry. Guess I pushed myself there."

"I should've warned you about the limitations at first. The mind of a Psychic can be highly-dangerous, Princess Twilight. But so far, you've proven to be a capable Psychic. For most Psychics, it takes weeks for them to even lift two objects. But you've mastered it in a few minutes and even bumped up to three."

"Really? Yes!" Twilight felt successful in that category.

"In fact, I think you're somewhat ready to tackle the slightly challenging ones. If you feel ready that is."

"I feel ready!" Twilight nodded.

"If you say so. Hold still for a second, princess." Olympia ordered. Twilight sat perfectly still, wondering what Olympia was planning to do. The teacher went up to the princess, placing one hand over Twilight's head.

"Esp?" Eve tilted her head.

"Are you reading my-" Twilight's words were cut off as her eyes flashed purple along with Olympia having a blue outline around her body.

What Olympia was doing was similar to what Passion can do against the Desires. She was interacting with Twilight's mind. But it was different than that.

Instead, Twilight was entering her own mind via the actions of someone else. Olympia could make Twilight see her own mindscape, much to the young alicorn's surprise.

Twilight had just arrived in her mindscape from Olympia simply allowing her to do so. And once she got there, she found out what it really looks like inside of her mind.

"W-Where am I...?" Twilight gawked as she gazed at her surroundings. Where to begin with her mindscape.

The environment was a perfect replica of Ponyville and Canterlot. Two very important locations for Twilight since she holds the most memories there.

Although, there was one thing that wasn't a perfect replica was the sky. It was purple for some odd reason. Twilight definitely knew she never thought of the sky being purple once at all.

"Ponyville...and Canterlot in the same place? Why's the sky purple?" Twilight wondered.

"You're currently in your mindscape, Princess Twilight. Olympia spoke as it was revealed that she was here as well. "Your own inner world and personal reality. This is where everything you love, remember and fear dwells. All in one area."

"Oooh...I think I remember Princess Celestia heading into Passion's mindscape once. I never knew I had my own."

"We all do. Whether it be daydreams or dreams in the night, everyone has a mindscape of their own. But we Psychics can go a step further with it at times."

"Esp." Eve was here as well along with Ninetales and Minccy. "Espeon!"

"Hey, Twilight!" It wasn't just them. Pinkie Pie and the rest of her friends waved over at Twilight since they were permanent parts of her mindscape.

"So...you brought me here?"

"Yes. The mindscape may seem like just a world you can escape to at times. But it can also act as a method of assistance. The friends here are perfect replicas of your real friends. Meaning they can give you advice in the same way."

"Oooh..."

"What's more, the mindscape is usually where Psychic trainers look for ways to improve their battling skills. If you stay here and train for a certain amount of time, your psychic capabilities will increase and enter reality."

"Amazing. There's so much more to the Psychic-Type than I thought. So I can come here and ask for help at any time?"

"If you want to. But I can guarantee your real-life friends might be the better option. Mindscape creations tend to exaggerate the personalities of the originals."

"Okay." Twilight nodded.

"Eventually, you'll be able to learn an ability such as this. Right now, your psychic abilities aren't increasing since I am the one who brought you here. But soon, this will be your own personal training room for you and your Espeon."

"And I can't wait!"

"Unfortunately, this is all the time we have for our lesson. The school is about to close. But you can come at any time and we shall continue, alright?"

"Right! Thank you, Ms Olympia!" Twilight said with a soft smile as the world around her was fading away, showing that the mindscape was coming to an end. The last thing she saw was a flash of light and that was it.

With the school closing, the remaining students and teachers inside took their leave. Cynthia watched as Twilight and the others returned home after they've finished their After-school lessons.

She could see that the future with the ponies and their involvement with Pokemon was bright. With the humans here to help them along the way and to a certain extent protect them, more about the Pokemon world and what mysteries it brings to those who interact with it continue to amaze them as the journey continues.
