Pokémon and Ponies

#80-Moving On Part 1

Frenzy Forest. 12:00.

"Okay. Is this thing on?" Twilight said as she was currently holding a standing camera that was pointing to her face. "Ugh, how do you work this thing?"

"I think the red light needs to be flashing, right?" said Starlight who was with her along with Spike.

"I got it!" Twilight gasped as she backed away from the camera as it was now recording. "Alright!" She clapped her hooves together. "Hello! Princess Twilight or...d-do I say Professor Twilight in this instance?"

"Uh...Any works?" Spike shrugged along with his Axew.

This'll be the first go at making a Pokemon Research film! And way to make myself a better Pokemon Professor. We're gonna see how the Pokemon really live their life in their natural habitats. And the best place to start is Frenzy Forest. An entire Pokemon civilization of some sorts. This will all be research, and I'll be joined here with my Pokemon, my assistant and student Spike and Starlight Glimmer. Say hi, everyone!"

"Hm? Oh, uh...!" Starlight looked at the camera as she was sweating, not used to being apart of something like this. "H-Hi!" She waved her hoof nervously.

"Heya!" Spike and Axew waved their claws.

"Axew!"

"Ninetales!" Ninetales got up in front of the camera as well as Eve and Minccy. But Absol didn't. He just stood to the side instead.

"Absol..."

"The Pokedex already tells us a lot about Pokemon. But I want to go a step further really experience it instead of just looking at the dex and books. It'll be first-hoof primary research!"

"How long is this going to be?" Spike asked.

"I don't know how long this will be. Might last until the moon rises, but we'll have a blast filming it all. And this camera lent to me by Ash's mom Delia will get everything! Let's get this started!"

Normal-Type section. 12:15.

"The most common and basic type of Pokemon that you'll always find wherever you go," Twilight spoke as Starlight was carrying the camera with her magic. "From what I've found out so far, there are currently 126 Normal-Type Pokemon with 71 being Single-type and 55 being Dual-type. Obviously, that's the amount I know so far, so there's obviously more out there that we've yet to discover. Let's start with those Rattata over there!"

Starlight aimed the camera at a mischief of Rattata as the Rattata were all conversing with each other. One Rattata among the group had ridiculously long incisors. Larger than all the other Rattata around it. This one single Rattata seemed to be the ruler of the mischief just for its incisor count along.

"Tatta! Ratta!" The head Rattata spoke as he seemed to be giving an order.

"A Rattata's incisor's are special. They're not just for show. They grow continuously, so it gnaws on hard things to whittle them down. If not, then it'll be hard for the Rattata to continue living since they'll have teeth so long that it'll be impossible to eat anything for survival."

"Sounds pretty rough," Spike said.

"It is." Twilight nodded.

"Ratta!" The Head Rattata exclaimed as all the other Rattata's scattered, climbing up the trees of the Normal-Type area, startling the Pidgey's in the trees.

"Pidgey!" The flock of Pidgey's all flew back when the Rattata's reached the top of the trees.

The mischief of Rattata all stood on the very top of the tree branches, simultaneously looking south from where their heads were pointing. All the trees had been occupied with lookout Rattata.

"Seems as if they're on the lookout for something. Looking at the far South too." Twilight observed. "Let's get a closer look!" Twilight suddenly spread her wings, taking flight as she as well headed for one of the trees a Rattata was standing on.

"Oh!" Starlight gasped as she used her magic to make herself levitate along with the camera, following Twilight. "Do we have to get a closer look like this?"

"Mhm! Primary research! The far south goes all the way to the Poison-Type area."

"Why would they be looking there?" Starlight questioned.

"Hmm...Could be for one reason. They're preparing for their predators."

"Predators?"

"Small Pokemon get a lot of predators and are really easy prey." Twilight got out binoculars looking in the same direction the Rattata's were all looking. "So without a doubt, the one Poison-Type that would come after Rattata could be Seviper."

"Gey!" The Pidgey's from before, weren't too fond of Rattata suddenly barging in and taking their resting places. The flock of Pidgey all flew above the trees, narrowing their eyes at each of the Mouse Pokemon.

Rattata did have predators. And one of those predators were Pidgey. Or rather, Pidgeotto but Pidgey was still capable of the natural predator or enemy to Rattata. And because of that, they attacked from above.

"Pidgey!" All the Pidgey dived by using Wing Attack, aiming straight for the trees that the Rattata stood on.

"Ta?" The Rattata's all looked up to see the approaching Pidgey with Wing Attack being utilized. Seeing that they were being attacked, the Rattata's instantly jumped and ran off the trees to avoid being hit.

All except for one individual who wasn't a Rattata. That being Twilight who hadn't noticed that she was currently prone to be hit by an approaching Wing Attack, as well as Starlight since she was in the same tree as them.

"Hm?" Twilight noticed how the Rattata were all moving now. "Wait, are they advancing to the Poison-Type area instead of sta-" Before Twilight could finish her sentence, she and Starlight were both hit by a double Wing Attack from a divebomb Pidgey.

"Pidgey!" With a mighty cry and an even mightier impact, the Tiny Bird Pokemon had caused an explosion which made Twilight and Starlight blast off into the distance with their screams fading away.

"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh!

"Oh! Twilight! Starlight!" Spike gasped as he and the rest of Twilight's Pokemon along with his Axew ran after their friends. They seemed to have been sent flying to the North East.

And at the North East, the Psychic-Type area could be found there.

Psychic-Type Area. 12:30.

Currently, an Alakazam and Slowking were having a contest of intellect. Alakazam's ginormous 5,000 IQ vs Slowking's world problem-solving brain.

"Ala...!"

"Slow..."

Both Psychic-Types had their Wit-Off by emanating their own brainpower from their heads as two purple waves came out of them. These waves were their brains showing off their intellect as they clashed against each other, creating a field of Psychic energy that was powerful enough to possibly alter anything.

And right next to them, Twilight and Starlight were currently falling in this direction because of the Pidgey from before, still screaming as well. But that screaming quickly stopped when Twilight managed to spot the Wit-Off from above. And that caught her eye.

"Ooh! Starlight! Point the camera down!"

"H-Huh?!" Starlight stammered, confused as to why Twilight would ask this right now of all times.

"There's a Wit-Off happening! I hear only Psychic-Types are capable of this type of contest and battle!" Twilight squeed. "I've wanted to see this happen for a while now!"

"Can we stop falling first?!" Starlight screeched.

"Oh, right." Twilight then remembered she had wings as she saved herself. She also used her magic to catch both Starlight and the camera, saving them both.

"Thanks..." Starlight let out a sigh of relief as Twilight brought her down safely to the ground.

"Alright!" Twilight grinned. "Let's see this Wit-Off! I want to know which one of them has the superior intellect!"

"So they don't actually battle?" Starlight adjusted the camera to face the two Psychic-Types.

"Their brain waves are clashing against each other, so it's kind of like a battle. Alakazam has an IQ of 5,000 because of its infinitely multiplying brain cells."

"It keeps multiplying? Then shouldn't it go past 5,000?" Starlight scratched her mane.

"That would be the case, but there's a reason why 5,000 is the maximum limit for an Alakazam." Twilight pointed her hoof as the demonstration as to why 5,000 was the best Alakazam could go was about to be shown.

"K-Kazam...!" Alakazam seemed to be losing the Wit-Off as he was twitching along with his spoons. Meanwhile, Slowking wasn't showing any signs of losing. If anything, he was the one who might most likely prevail in all of this.

"Slow."

"Ala...Alakazam...!" Alakazam refused to lose to a Pokemon that forgets everything it thinks of. So, to come out as the victor, Alakazam decided to go a step further and try to surpass his 5,000 IQ.

And that is where his biggest mistake was shown. The moment he went past his 5,000 IQ, the inevitable happened. Alakazam's head was suddenly growing in size as a sign of his brain increasing. But not in a good way.

Multiple thick veins were showing as Alakazam's head couldn't handle so much brainpower. His cells, despite being infinite were starting to scramble all over the place instead of staying organized as they usually are.

"King?" Slowking's eyes widened as he noticed the growing head of Alakazam along with Twilight and Starlight.

"Sweet Celestia..." Starlight gawked as her jaw dropped.

"If Alakazam goes past its 5,000 IQ, then its head will become far too heavy to support with its neck." Twilight explained while looking casually unbothered by the veiny head expansion of the Psi Pokemon.

"Uh...Twilight..." Starlight then noticed that Alakazam's head was wobbling to the side, most likely on the verge of falling onto something because of the little amount of balance that he had now.

"Slow...!" Slowking noticed this as well as he backed away, knowing that something would be crushed by Alakazam's head.

"You'd think it would mean that Alakazam's head would explode but thankfully that's not the case." Twilight turned around, closing her eyes as she began to explain further while Starlight backed away with the camera. "You see, despite the limitations, deep within Alakazam, its Mega Evolution is what's keeping it from exploding."

"Alaka...!" Alakazam looked like he was going to fall right on Twilight with his gigantic brain while Twilight kept chattering away as a large shadow was cast over her.

"Because it's capable of Mega Evolving, the Mega energy inside is most likely protecting Alakazam since Mega Alakazam has an IQ so vast that having traded away its muscles, Alakazam's true-"

"Alakazam!" Unable to contain his balance any further. As a result, he fell directly towards Twilight. And unbeknownst to Twilight who was still talking for the camera, she had been flattened by Alakazam's expanded head, cutting her speech off.

"Ough!" Twilight yelped.

"Eeugh..." Starlight winced at the sight of it.

"Slow." Slowking went up to Alakazam, using Psychic to lift the Psi Pokemon off Twilight.

"S-See...?" Twilight groaned as her mane was a mess. She then looked up at the camera, continuing the documentary. "A-A-All those muscles come from the brain...Mega Alakazam makes it softer and...ugh!" Twilight then slammed her face on the ground.

"Slowking." Thankfully, Slowking helped once more by using Heal Pulse to heal up Twilight.

"Alakazam..." Alakazam's head was shrinking back to its normal size as the cells inside were automatically reorganizing themselves. "Kazam..."

"Ugh..." Twilight stood up. "Thanks, Slowking."

"Slow."

"Okay. Moving on." Twilight shook her head. We're not done yet with Alakazam."

"We're not?"

"Nope. There's one last thing that I personally want to try out. Well, this is something Pinkie Pie asked for. Alakazam's spoons."

"What about them?" Starlight titled her head.

"Apparently, If it trusts someone deeply, it will let them have one of its spoons. Anything you eat with that spoon is apparently delicious."

"Anything?"

"Right. So all I have to do is make good friends with Alakazam and I'll muster up the courage to eat...Quesadillas..." Twilight shuddered after saying that. "I was even brave enough to buy one from Pinkie."

"Alakazam..." Alakazam felt a bit woozy after his brain expansion. He picked up his spoons from the ground as he accepted his loss of the Wit-Off by turning around and bowing to his fellow Psychic-Type. "Alakazam."

"Slowking." Slowking bowed back to him.

"Hold on!" Twilight dashed over. "Before you head off, I'd like to try out those spoons quickly."

"Kazam?"

"They can make anything taste good right? So..." Twilight took out a quesadilla from her saddlebag as it was wrapped in aluminium foil. "Think I could test them out myself."

"Ala..." Alakazam looked at Twilight's grinning face and then at Slowking.

"Slow." Slowking actually suggested that Twilight should try out his spoons. Twilight seemed to be harmless, especially considering that Alakazam had fallen on her.

Alakazam first apologized to Twilight for falling on her because of his increased head. He did not intend for that to happen as he was just getting carried away in the Wit-Off. He didn't deeply trust Twilight, but he was kind enough to lend her one of his spoons for a short while. As a second way of apologizing to her.

"Alakazam." Alakazam offered the spoon up as an apology.

"Thanks!" Twilight squeed as she used her magic to hold the spoon. "Alright...here goes." The young alicorn gulped, looking at one of the many things in life she fears. "I've been avoiding you for years now...But I'll be able to conquer you once and for all."

With courage, the Princess of Friendship dug the spoon into the quesadilla, getting a single piece from it. The spoon was twitching since Twilight was still cautious of this delicacy she had been avoiding for so long.

And with the spoon getting near her mouth, Twilight took one bite.

And when she did, her eyes lit up as magic was flying out of her horn, shooting a gigantic beam into the sky that broke through even the clouds themselves.

"This is...this is..." Twilight's body was twitching as she was struggling to finish her sentence. She looked like she was about to explode from how fast and aggressively she was twitching.

Alakazam, Slowking and Starlight all distanced themselves away from Twilight, afraid that she might combust unexpectedly. And arriving at the scene along came Spike and Axew with all of Twilight's Pokemon.

They had just arrived in time to see their friend twitching and shaking while holding a spoon and quesadilla of all things. Naturally, the sight befuddled their little eyes.

"Uh...What's happening?" A nervous spike pointed at Twilight.

"I don't know." Starlight nervously flew towards Twilight, putting her hoof out to check up on her friend and teacher. "Twilight are you o-"

Just as soon as Starlight's hoof got close to Twilight, the young alicorn suddenly started devouring the quesadilla with the spoon at hyperactive speeds like a maniac. She didn't even finish her sentence on how it tasted.

But from how she was rapidly using her magic to scoop up pieces of the quesadilla, getting her face messy and making sounds that sound like a dog aggressively biting on a chew toy with no remorse while her eyes become bloodshot red, it was safe to say that it tasted wonderful.

A terrified Alakazam saw his spoon being violated by Twilight's rabid and monstrous eating. Something that Twilight had avoided for so long with hatred was now being consumed and embraced with a feeling on par with hatred.

Twilight paused, realizing that everyone was staring at her with mortified looks on their faces while she also being caught on camera too. The young alicorn awkwardly moved her eyes about before swallowing the current quesadilla piece and letting out a sheepish yet adorable grin while her face was an oily mess.

"Hehe..." Twilight giggled before giving Alakazam his spoon back. "M-Moving on."

Steel-Type Area. 15:00

Arguably the roughest part of the Frenzy Forest as there were steel spikes scattered across the ground. Some were well hidden and somewhere not, making this area of the forest the most painful to be in.

All except for one part which was actually so beautiful that it couldn't be considered a part of the Steel-Type area but instead the Grass-Type Area as it was just as lush as them.

And the one Pokemon that resided in that lush spot was an Aggron of all Pokemon.

"Ggron. Aggron." Aggron was currently tilling the soil by using its claws to do so, acting as a rake. Aggron was also taking out weeds and crumbling the soil into smaller pieces to help improve the aeration. Some fruits were planted on its territory but Aggron only eats iron so they've just been sitting there. Still fairly healthy and fresh.

"Oh..." An impressed Starlight gazed at the surprisingly gentle Aggron acting like a gardener.

"Shocked? I was too." Twilight nodded as she faced the camera. "Aggron may look big and scary, but it's actually gentle, considerate and protective of its environment. It commonly uses a mountain as its environment but right now, this forest seems to be a good substitute for it. And just like a mountain, if its territory is ravaged by a landslide or a fire, this Pokémon will haul topsoil to the area, plant trees, and beautifully restore its own territory."

"So it's like a defender too? Does it defend other Pokemon from the landslide and fire?" Spike asked.

"Uh...not sure." Twilight looked up to the sky, squinting her eyes. "It doesn't like anyone else near its territory at all, so I don't know if it would protect other Pokemon from trouble. Maybe its own kin?"

"Huh. Well if I was in big trouble, I'd find the biggest Pokemon to hide behind. Right Axew?" Spike turned to face his partner but quickly found out that Axew was gone. "Axew?"

"Xew!" Axew's position had been revealed as he was actually approaching Aggron's territory. He was heading there for one reason. The fruits.

"Ah! Axew, no!" Spike gasped, witnessing his partner carelessly enter Aggron's territory.

"Axew!"

"Agg?" Aggron, who was about to crumble some soil, spotted Axew entering its territory from the corner of its eye.

"Xew! Axew!" Axew started grabbing fruits off the ground, tossing them into the air. He opened his mouth as he let the fruits fall in while Aggron watched. Axew swallowed the fruits, tasting their sweet and juicy textures. After swallowing the fruits and going for another, Axew finally noticed Aggron staring right at him. "Axe?" The Tusk Pokemon turned around.

"Aggron..."

"Axe...Axew!" Axew was surprisingly not terrified of Aggron and didn't do anything to get out of its territory. Instead, Axew grabbed a fruit, raising it and offering it to the Iron Armor Pokemon as a gift. "Axew!"

"Oh!" Twilight and the others shot up.

"Ggron?" Aggron tilted its head.

"Xew-ew!"

"Ab-" Absol was about to step in along with all of Twilight's Pokemon, but Twilight stopped them from advancing as she noticed how Aggron wasn't actually attacking.

Everyone observed Aggron and Axew as the camera was pointing directly at them. Twilight's Pokemon were ready to jump in at any time as well as Spike who was prepared to send Salamence out.

"Aggron." However, instead of attacking, Aggron shook its head, denying the fruit since it only eats iron. But it appreciated Axew's offer while also understanding that Axew, who is essentially a baby despite being able to transform into a full-grown adult, was just hungry and wanted a bite.

Aggron is not only gentle but also understanding and less prone to attack unless it truly feels threatened.

"Axew!" Axew understood as he ate the fruit.

"Phew..." Twilight and everyone felt relieved after that. "Okay...apparently, that territory part has some exceptions."

"Uh-huh..." Spike went over to his Axew. "Axew, please don't do that again, you had me super worried."

"Xew!" Axew shoved a fruit in Spike's mouth, allowing him to experience the juicy taste of the fruits.

"Mm!" Spike pulled back as his eyes expanded. But as Axew shoved it in his mouth, Spike was immediately given bliss from the taste. "Mmm...Oh yeah, it was worth it. Good thinking Axew."

"Axew!"

Delphox's Hut. 16:00

"And straight up ahead is Delphox's hut," Twilight spoke to the camera as she and her friends had approached the hut that belonged to the famous Delphox of this forest. "Applejack and I have been here before and the feeling that one gets when coming here is surreal. Like the talking grass."

"Talking grass?" Starlight aimed the camera down at the grass. And just like with what happened to Twilight and Applejack, Starlight, Spike and the Pokemon could hear whispering from the grass. But the words were still difficult to make out.

"Oooh..." Spike and Starlight gawked.

"And it gets stranger. Because when you walk up the hill, this happens." Twilight and the others walked up the hill, right behind them, the view of the lower part of the forest was getting smaller. At first, it looked like they had shrunk but that wasn't the case.

"That's a bit messy to the eyes..." Starlight aimed the camera at the current view, blinking and rubbing her eyes with her hoof. "So, what's so special about this one Delphox?"

"You're about to find out." Twilight grinned as they all came across the hut that belonged to Delphox. "The Delphox here is an amazing magician who can perform some cutting-edge spells. Like showing a Pokemon its potential Mega Evolution or even transform you into a human!"

"Wait what?!" Starlight exclaimed after hearing that.

"There's probably more. But wait till you see what wonders Delphox has to-" Right before Twilight could say the final word when she stood next to the door of the hut, the door had suddenly opened. And the one who opened it wasn't Delphox, but a Ledyba instead.

"Ledyba."

"AH!" A horrified Twilight flew into the air with a terrifying shriek.

"Ledy?" The Five Star Pokemon looked up to see Twilight hanging on to a tree, shaking at a hyper-fast pace while having a mortified look.

"L-L-L-Ledyba...!" Twilight jittered as Starlight pointed the camera up at her.

"Uh, Twilight? It's just a little Ledyba."

"That's the problem," Spike whispered to Starlight.

"It is?" She turned to face her friend.

"You see, Twilight's afraid of ladybugs and Ledyba's are like 10x the same size of ladybugs so..."

"Ah..." Starlight understood.

"Ledyba!" Ledyba, being a friendly Pokemon, greeted Spike and the others in front of it. It then turned around to greet Twilight as it began flying towards her.

"Getitawaygeitawaygeitawaygeitaway!" She spoke at a fast pace while squealing.

"Delphox." Thankfully, Delphox came out of her hut, seeing Twilight's fear of Ledyba as she picked up the Five Star Pokemon.

"Ledy?" Ledyba turned to face the Fox Pokemon.

"Phox." Delphox shook her head, telling Ledyba that it would be best if it would get some clear distance from Twilight.

"Ledyba!" Ledyba understood as it went back inside of the hut.

"Whew..." Twilight exhaled as she gently flew back down. "Thanks."

"Oh, this is what a Delphox looks like?" Starlight focused the camera on the Fox Pokemon.

"Delphox." Delphox waved to the camera, introducing herself.

"Okay. Delphox." Twilight descended. "We're currently on a Pokemon Research task. So we were wondering if we could research more about your species. If that's okay with you."

"Delphox." Delphox accepted the offer as she invited Twilight and the others in. But Twilight made sure to stay behind her Pokemon as Ledyba was still inside of the hut.

But very soon, Twilight's attention would be taken away from Ledyba as her eyes spotted something else that caught her interest as well as her friends.

A Pokemon Egg.

One that had peculiar patterns on it as it was sitting on the table alone. The patterns looked similar to a Togepi egg but it wasn't a Togepi egg.

"You're keeping an egg here, Delphox?" Twilight said as Starlight focused the camera on the egg.

"Phox. Delphox." Delphox used her wand to bring over a quill and paper. She would use this to speak to Twilight and the others.

She wrote on the paper "This is a special Pokemon egg that is unlike any other egg out there."

"Really? What makes it so special?" Starlight focused the camera on the paper as Delphox wrote down new words.

"Inside of this egg, for the first time ever, a fully-evolved Pokemon is inside."

"A fully-evolved Pokemon?!" Twilight echoed. "Seriously?! You mean a Pokemon that's already reached its final evolution?! But I thought Pokemon who can evolve only start out as babies when in an egg."

"Not this one." Delphox wrote. "This is the only exception. I found it near some odd body of water that had magical properties to it."

"Magical properties...?" Twilight began processing those words as it all clicked to her. "You mean the Arcane Sea?!"

"Is that what it's called? It seemed more like a lake to me." Delphox replied.

"Arcane Sea?" Starlight said. "Oh, you mentioned that yesterday, Twilight."

"Sure did. So I guess Rainbow Dash was right. Some of the Pokemon and Equestrian magic is here in our world too." Twilight approached the egg, staring at it. "When does it hatch?"

"Delphox." Delphox shrugged, not knowing when it'll hatch.

"Axew." Axew hopped on the table, tempted to touch it.

"Skipping through an entire evolution process..." Twilight slowly placed her hoof on the egg. When she did, she could feel a vibration move through her as the egg was letting out a pink light. "Oh!"

"Axew!" Axew shuddered as he felt a horrible chill flow through his body, causing him to fall off the table.

"Axew, are you okay?!" Spike ran over, seeing that his partner was watching after being exposed to that pink light. But Twilight wasn't experiencing the same thing. Instead, she was mesmerised by the light and pulse. But also, a tear seemed to be forming in her eyes.

"Xew..."

"Delph?" Delphox turned to see how Twilight couldn't take her hoof off the egg as the pink light was going through her. "Delphox..."

"Uh, Twilight?" Starlight faced the camera at Twilight and the egg.

"Sol?" Absol got on the table but was quickly pushed back by the light of the egg as well. But he didn't take as much as an impact as Axew. But it still stung.

"Twilight!" Spike yelled, snapping her out of it.

"Ah!" Twilight gasped as she pulled her hoof away as her tears faded away.

"What happened? When you touched that egg you were just in the zone there."

"I heard crying..." Twilight uttered.

"Crying?" Spike helped Axew up. "From the egg?"

"Yeah, I think so." Twilight looked at her hoof. "Weird."

"Delphox." Delphox went up to the egg as she wrote down some new words on the paper that said; "You're not the only one that could feel the egg crying."

"You've felt it too?" The young alicorn looked up at the Fox Pokemon.

"Delphox." She nodded as she put her hand on the egg, feeling the crying coming from it. The pink light and waves were also flowing out again as Axew hid underneath the table, petrified.

"What Pokemon is inside of this egg, Delphox?" Twilight asked.

"Well it kinda looks like a Togepi egg, doesn't it?" Spike climbed up the table. "But the colour's a bit different. It's more bluish. Is it a Togetic?"

"Delphox." Delphox shook her head as she gave them an answer by writing on the paper as the words said; "This is a Togekiss egg."

"Togekiss?" This was the first time Twilight and the others heard about this Pokemon. Twilight quickly took out her Pokedex as she used it to scan the egg. It's nifty that the Pokedex's scanning is so advanced on how it captures data of a Pokemon in any form.

"Togekiss. The Jubilee Pokemon. Togekiss flies around the world to seek out places of peace. As everyone knows, it only visits peaceful regions, bringing gifts and blessings to those who practice respect and harmony toward one another and avoid needless strife. These Pokémon are never seen anywhere near conflict or turmoil. In recent times, they've hardly been seen at all."

"Can I feel it too?" Starlight brought the camera up close to the Togekiss egg as she also put her hoof on it. She could also feel the crying coming from the egg as well as she pulled her hoof back. "Woah..."

"Ninetales!" Ninetales, Eve and Minccy went up to the egg, putting their paws and noses on it to sense the crying as well.

"Espeon?"

"Cinccino?"

"Why's it crying though?" Spike wondered.

"No idea...It has to be upset about something maybe." Twilight theorized.

"Del." To soothe the crying, Delphox used Hypnosis on the egg, putting the Togekiss inside to sleep as the crying had stopped.

"Oh!" Twilight clapped her hooves together. "Just like Spike's Special Axew, I've been wanting to learn more about the fused magic from both worlds! Still have no idea what to call it...but this egg is also good to work on! Delphox!"

"Del?"

"Uh, if it isn't a bother..." Twilight twiddled her hooves around. "But could I borrow this egg for a bit? For research, of course, I'll give it back."

"Phox." Delphox was fine with that as she nodded. Twilight shared her enthusiasm for discovering and researching so she allowed the young alicorn to borrow the egg for the time being.

"Yes!" Twilight used her magic to hold the egg. "Just give me a few weeks with this egg. And I think this is good enough to move on to the next part."

"Aren't we going to research Delphox?" Starlight asked.

"Oh, right! Delphox. Looking at the tip of your branch allows your species to gaze into the future with a focused state. How does that work?"

"Delphox." Delphox gave them a demonstration by moving her wand close to the camera, allowing Twilight and the others to see for themselves. The group each leaned forward, fixating their eyes on the branch.

Her wand lit on fire as it immediately put Twilight and everyone into a state of zen as their eyes were flashing. Once that occurred all of them were given a vision of the future.

From what Twilight had witnessed, she saw a vision of what seemed to be a tower on the verge of collapsing. And on top of the tower, Ash and Ghetsis were both standing there as they were both holding onto something while gateways were opening around them. And right next to Twilight was Adagio too.

That was as far as the vision went as Spike and Starlight also shared the same vision as Twilight but from different angles and perspectives. The Pokemon only saw gateways in their vision. After that, their eyes returned to normal.

"...Woah." Twilight, perplexed and taken aback, rubbed her eyes as she was still trying to process what had just happened.

"Delphox?" Delphox asked them how it felt and what they saw.

"Espeon..." Eve needed some time to clear her mind out as her gem was shaking after witnessing the vision.

"That was...something..." Twilight shook her head. "At least we know what it feels like."

"S-Should we be worried about that?" Starlight shuddered.

"I'm sure it's fine!" Twilight squeed. "I mean, it's probably something that could result in an unfortunate and untimely devastating event that endangers countless lives and spreads mass destruction...But if Ash is there then there's no need to worry. Right?"

"...Sure." Spike nodded nervously along with everyone else.

"A-Anyway. We should move on to the next part of our research. Thanks for the help, Delphox! I'll bring this egg back soon!" Twilight walked off with her friends, waving goodbye to Delphox.

"Delphox!" Delphox waved goodbye.

"Ledy!" Ledyba landed on Delphox's shoulder, waving goodbye to them as well as Twilight shuddered.

"Eeugh...!"

Coming outside, they noticed that the sun was close to setting. Despite the few Pokemon they had filmed and researched so far, walking from area to area took some time. But, they were planning to see this whole thing through. And they were going to film as many Pokemon as they could until they tire themselves out.

They came across a Happiny that was carrying a bunch of Steel-Type as if they were made out of paper with its abnormally superb strength. Happiny could also run surprisingly fast with them as it almost ran into Spike and Axew.

A Palossand was nearby on a sandy area, trying to trick Pokemon into walking into it so it could pull its prey down into the sand by controlling the sand itself, and then suck out their souls. But no one was falling for it. And Twilight and the others made sure to stay far away from Palossand as possible, not wanting to be bony victims afterwards.

Very small Pokemon were jumping into the ports of a Hippowdown, using them as little resting places. Hippowdon didn't mind the small Pokemon using its ports as it created a symbiotic relationship between them. Spike and Minccy snuck into the ports as they found it to be a good substitute for a resting spot. They were surprisingly comfortable for such a rugged Pokemon.

A group of Pancham were trying to imitate a Pangoro since they look up to the Pokemon as a hero. They were desperately trying to intimidate opponents like Pangoro by pulling off a very cute and adorable scary face. The Pokemon couldn't take them seriously with how adorable they were so the Pancham were just aggravated by that point.

Starlight also found the Pancham to be so adorable when they tried to pull off an intimidating face as she gushed at them. But that only prompted one of the Pancham's to sock Starlight in the face with a surprise Sucker Punch as Starlight fell on her back afterwards.

Her Hatterene came out of the Poke Ball on her own, furious at the Pancham's for hitting her trainer as she threatened them all with her claw, telling them that she would squeeze their heads until they popped into a red mist. The Pancham, naturally terrified, ran away to their Pangoro boss while Starlight held her face.

And finally, the last Pokemon they got to experience and research were the same Rattata from before, dragging a group of Seviper that had fainted. Turns out, Twilight was right. They were going after their predators. And they won with the Seviper desperately trying to escape from the clutches of the Rattata.

The moon was up. And that was their cue to leave.

"Okay!" Twilight said as she and her friends were leaving Frenzy Forest. "I think we've got enough good research. That was a great first run!"

"Sure was...Even if some of us got hurt along the way." Starlight replied. "But this Pokemon research thing is kinda fun, ya know."

"Isn't it?!" Twilight squeed. "Everything apart from the Ledyba was just a blast to experience! And we even got ourselves an egg affected by the magical merged water to research on. We'll soon see what kind of magic we're really dealing with here. Hopefully."

"Just keep it away from Axew. He gets a bit woozy from touching it." Spike said to his partner.

"Axew."

"Wait till everypony sees what we've gotten on camera. But we should probably get it back to Delia first."

"So same thing next week?" Starlight asked.

"Sure. Next time, I could research my own Pokemon! And the Pokemon at PokePark! Or just the entire area of PokePark itself! How does that sound to all of you?" Twilight grinned at her partners.

"Espeon..." Eve knew that Twilight's Pokemon Professor job was about to be taken to the next level by this point. And this filming process was just the beginning.

Ponyville. Day.

"I didn't think through..." Sunset Shimmer said with a disgruntled look on her face. Currently, she was at the home of Aria and Sonata alongside Adagio who had also found herself in this scenario.

"Of course you didn't...Because of you, I'm in this pathetic place..." Adagio growled.

"Isn't this great?!" Sonata pulled both Adagio and Sunset together with a hug. "Adagio's finally here in Ponyville!"

"I don't wanna be here!" Adagio exclaimed. "But this lunatic keeps following me because of trust issues!"

"Can you blame me?!" Sunset twitched. "I'm also here because Equestria's in danger of an invasion, ya know! And we're supposed to be working together!"

"I could be out there preparing, but instead I'm here. How did I even get here in the first place?" Adagio facehoofed.

"Well..." Sonata stood up, recalling how they got here. "On the last day of the festival, you two got really excited and started partying like crazy! And you partied so hard that you both fell asleep on the floor, so Aria and I had to carry you back here."

"Oh...right." Both Sunset and Adagio said.

"I blame you for that. Getting me into it and everything." Adagio pointed her hoof at Sunset.

"Heh. Or maybe you were just genuinely having fun at that last moment, ya know?" Sunset let out a cocky smirk which agitated Adagio.

"Why you...!"

"Can you three keep it down?" Aria spoke. "Popplio's training and she needs all the focus she can get."

"Pop-Popp!"

"I shouldn't be here...Especially with Twilight Sparkle and her precious little friends! I should be um.." Adagio bit her lip. "Somewhere...!"

"But where? The wild?" Sonata said. "Oh, do you have a super-secret base somewhere?!"

"Ssh!" Aria hushed them.

"Well...no." Adagio lowered her head. "The only place I stick around the longest is the Changeling Hive. But that place doesn't exist anymore because of Ghetsis."

"Sounds to me like you're better off here." Sonata slid in with a wide grin. "Ponyville's super comfortable and cosy and feels like home."

"It's not my home though..." Adagio crossed her hooves. "But this bed is pretty cosy."

"Right?" Sonata squeed. "And if you live here with us, we can be an entire family!"

"Mmrgh..." Adagio grumbled.

"I know you don't like everypony here...or mostly Twilight and Sunset, but please?" Sonata gave puppy-dog eyes to her big sister. "At least stay for a while and make your mind up?"

"My mind is already made up." Adagio chided. "I don't want to spend another second in this place and that's final."

"Then where are you gonna go? The Faye Mountains? Cause if so, you're gonna have to get used to all the love and happiness there. And you're not a fan of it, are you?"

"Kh!" Adagio growled. But Aria was right. Aria always knew what to say to really get Adagio going.

"And you're definitely not thinking of roaming the world. Ghetsis and Empress Twilight are gonna come for you too, you know that?" Aria picked Popplio up. "If they even find you, you might end up getting a worse result than the previous Changeling Hive."

"Aria's right. And we don't want that!" Sonata shook her head. Adagio listened to Aria's words, realizing that she made an amazing point.

If Adagio were to roam the world right now, there is a good possibility that Ghetsis and Empress Twilight will deal with her. They know that she's conspiring to work against them. The only reason she hasn't been caught yet is that she's been around a plethora of people, ponies, Pokemon and other species during the Pokemon Festival.

"I hate it when you're right..." Adagio sighed, knowing that it was too dangerous to go alone. "Fine! I'll stay with you, but as long as I don't get to be all buddy-buddy with anyone here. I've got one goal and that's to perfect my plan for when the 2 months finally arrive, got it?"

"You can count on us!" Sonata saluted. "We'll keep you safe here until this whole invasion thing blows over!"

"But you never know...you might like it here." Aria nudged Adagio.

"Hmph," Adagio remarked. "At least the bed is comfy..."

"What about you, Sunny?" Sonata asked.

"Hm? Well...it's only 2 months and I'm here so...I guess I can do a lot of catching up with what I've missed in Equestria. Besides, the Pokemon Festival kinda made me realize how much more Pokemon stuff there is here."

"You all go and do whatever you want. I'm sitting here with my Kricketot and planning things through."

"Sounds boring." Sonata wrapped her hoof around Adagio's neck. "But you can always look outside the window. There's something sweet always happening here. Like right now!" She moved Adagio to the window to show her what event was taking place right now.

Outside, Ash was taking part in a Pokemon World Championships match against a random trainer. It was Pikachu against a Dodrio.

"Dodrio! Use Tri Attack!" The trainer commanded.

"Dodrio!" Dodrio opened its beaks and positioned its heads so that each beak became a corner in the shape of a triangle. An orb of energy then formed inside Dodrio's beaks, the right one was coloured green, the top one indigo and the left one red. Once the triangle started to turn indigo, The Triple Bird Pokemon fired the triple triangles towards Pikachu with different effects.

"Here it comes! Advance with Quick Attack!" Ash pointed.

"Pika!" Pikachu bolted forward in a burst of speed with after images and a white light coming out of him. The Electric Mouse Pokemon moved at blinding speeds, zigzagging past the three triangles.

"Now sweep and strike with Iron Tail!"

"Chu...Pika!" Once Pikachu got past the Tri Attack and close enough to Dodrio with Quick Attack, he turned his tail into iron, sweeping it as he knocked the Triple Bird Pokemon off its feet.

"D-Do?!" Dodrio gasped as it was about to fall flat on its three faces.

"Pikachu!" Pikachu then followed up with one more Iron Tail by doing a backflip, hitting the middle head while Dodrio was falling over, forcing the Normal-Flying-Type back up with the tail to the head.

"Drio!" Dodrio was then sent into the air because of the Iron Tail uppercut.

"Now! Thunderbolt!"

"Pika...!" Pikachu surrounded himself in an aura of lightning ready to blast it upwards.

"Quick, Dodrio! Use Payback!"

"Do!" Dodrio, while airborne, had a black aura around it as it sent black and red tendrils of darkness from above as they were powered up because of the damage dealt previously.

"Chu!" Pikachu then sent 100,000 volts of electricity upwards as the volts clashed with the tendrils as they were both going at it like whips. Thunderbolt managed to overpower Payback with superior power behind it as Dodrio's eyes collectively widened when seeing that it was about to be hit head-on.

"Dodrio!" Dodrio had been struck by Thunderbolt from below, feeling 100,000 volts shock it. With some super-effective damage, Dodrio fell to the ground, fainted and defeated. "D-Dodrio..."

"Dodrio is unable to battle! Pikachu wins! Thus the victor is Contestant Ash!" The Rotomdrone said.

"Alright!" Ash and Pikachu pumped their fists in the air.

"Pikachu!"

"Nice-Nice! Ash!" Pinkie waved around a flag of Ash's face along with the Cutie Mark Crusaders who were a part of the Ash Ketchum Fan Club.

"Yay!" Fluttershy cheered.

"Based on the results of this battle, the Pokemon World Championships rankings will be updated!" The Rotomdrone flew off, leaving this world.

Ash looked at his Rotomphone, seeing that his rank had gone up because of this victory. He and Pikachu high-fived each other because of it. The trainer that Ash defeated went up to him and Pikachu, congratulating him and shaking hands with Ash.

"See? How fun was that?!" Sonata shook Adagio.

"I mean, it was pretty impressive to look at..." Adagio slowly nodded. "But that's not enough to convince me to head out."

"Suit yourself! I'm heading out!" Sonata immediately took off like a rocket, leaving the house while Aria and her Popplio were off to practice singing some more.

"Well...I can do some catching up with Twilight." Sunset hopped off the bed. "You're not gonna do anything with that jar, are you?"

"Would you just forget about the jar for once..." Adagio groaned.

"Alright, alright." With those last words, Sunset Shimmer walked outside to Ponyville, leaving just Adagio and Kricketot now, alone.

Twilight's Castle.

"Go!" Twilight exclaimed as she was currently teaching Cold Colt more magic and to better improve himself. The sooner they can learn how to open up gateways, the better.

"Okay!" Cold, who strained less with his magic, but still strained, either way, was able to now levitate not just himself but other objects surrounding him. He lifted a bookcase, table, and even all of Twilight's Pokemon as well as Twilight herself off the floor with his magic. The doors were even being affected as they were opening and closing rapidly.

"Good job!" Twilight congratulated as Cold placed everything back down, exhaling after using his magic. "You've gotten really good being able to lift so much!"

"Thanks!" Cold grinned.

"Alright now, how about we focus on casting spells. That'll get you closer to opening gateways...Hopefully. This Rift magic is still so confusing to me."

"No need to worry." Cold tapped his horn. "You can count on me."

"Twilight!" Along came a new visitor, opening up the door. That visitor was Sunset Shimmer.

"Sunset!" Twilight gasped as she ran over, hugging her fellow student of Celestia. "You came to Ponyville?"

"Yeah. Well, not by choice. I was kinda carried here because I got fell asleep and everything. But I'm gonna be here for a while until that invasion blows over."

"Oh pretty..." Cold gushed at Sunset Shimmer.

"Who's the kid?" Sunset pointed her hoof at Cold Colt.

"Oh, this is Cold Colt. Currently one of my two students and the one pony here who has the potential to open gateways."

"For real?!" Sunset's ears and mane shot up. "He does?! This little guy?"

"Mhm! He's a Rift Pony. Created and made out of Rift Energy." Twilight explained. "He's our ace in the hole for opening the gateways. Until he learns it that is."

"Yeah, that's me." Cold leaned on the wall to act cool, but he just looked adorable to the eyes of Twilight and Sunset.

"That's actually pretty nifty. How until he learns how to do it?" Sunset asked Twilight.

"Well, his magic potential is great in its own right and so far he's able to levitate a few or more objects around him. And next to that, since he's got some Rift magic in his horn, things can get unpredictable a lot of the times."

"Unpredictable?" Sunset raised an eyebrow.

"His Rift Magic is what we're trying to work on the most. One zap of it and things just spiral out of control. Like when Ash was hit by it. He was split into 6 different Ash's!"

"Really?!"

"Oh yeah. I can do anything but uh...not on purpose." Cold scrunched his face. "Before, I could only cause problems cause that's why I was made. But thanks to Togetic's Joy Dust, I've got some good luck. Still can't properly control it though."

"We were just about to do that now actually. You can watch if you want."

"Oh, sure. I'd like to see some Rift magic occur."

"Great! Alright, Cold. Let's work on that Rift Magic. The switch-up trick's gonna work again in this."

"Switch-up?"

"It's a little trick Cold and I came up with together. We use normal magic first and then next Rift magic. And then after that, it's back to normal magic, Rift magic and so on. It's a good way to find some balance." Twilight explained it.

"Yeah." Cold nodded. "It works out great. I used to get really nervous when going for Rift magic, even with Togetic's good luck, but that trick really helps a lot."

"Okay. Let's see it then."

Cold was about to show off what he could do with his Rift Magic as Twilight and everyone stood back. Nyx, Cocoa and Rosestar poked their heads through the door, noticing that another Rift session was about to take place. Knowing that and the hijinks that seem to occur in this castle during this session, they left the door, finding a place to hide.

Cold closed his eyes as he lit his horn up with cosmic energy. Rift Magic had a distinct look to normal magic because of the space-like aura that it holds. Cold's entire body was also surrounded by that same energy as his hooves left the floor.

The entire room was darkened up because of the cosmic energy that was emanating out of Cold as a small little wind pressure was being kicked up as well. The little colt's eyes opened as they were flashing and out of his horn, a beam of cosmic magic was shot out.

But the beam of magic didn't hit anything to trigger a spell. Instead, it went off in the middle of the air midway with pulses coming out. Once it went off, the Rift magic ended up transforming the floor and even the outside of Ponyville's ground into soap. Of all things.

"Soap?!" Twilight and Sunset gasped as they were now standing on a floor of soap. Surprisingly, they weren't falling through it, but Twilight was cautious as she flew up.

Twilight's castle, from the upper floor to the lower floor was full of nothing but soap as well as Ponyville. Naturally, the residents were greatly confused by this but also somewhat amused, especially Ash, Pinkie and Sonata since it was fun to stand and walk on a soap ground.

"Woops." Cold made a poker face, realizing what he had just done to the area.

"Uh...G-Good job, Cold. That's yet another fairly big feat of yours." Twilight grinned. "But uh...can you turn it back to normal, please?"

"Ninetales!" Ninetales was surfing on the soap with Minccy.

"Cinccino!"

"After they finish having their fun," said Twilight.

Back with Adagio, she looked out the window to see how everything on the ground had been turned to soap all of a sudden. Without warning as well.

Not only that, but the house she was in had its floor turned into a soapy sea. She stayed on the bed, unsure if she wanted to make contact with the floor anymore.

"What's with all the soap?!" Adagio yelled.

"Tot!" Kricketot jumped out of Adagio's mane, deciding to interact with the soap instead of avoiding it.

"Kricketot, no!" Adagio gasped, fearing for the safety of her partner. But there was no need to worry as Kricketot was laying on his back on the soap without falling through.

"Kricketot!" The Cricket Pokemon swam on the floor of soap while on his back, finding it fun and having the time of his life.

"Oh..." Adagio was surprised that this wasn't dangerous at all. She thought for sure that Kricketot would just fall right through the floor somehow. But not all.

The siren decided to try and interact with the soap as she gently placed her hoof on it. Once she did, it gave her a somewhat nostalgic feeling. Like she was back home at the sea of sirens. Adagio then got off the bed, putting all her hooves on the soap.

"Hm. Not bad." Adagio was impressed as she laid on her back too, finding the soap to be comfortable. Just like Kricketot, she started swimming around in it too, finding enjoyment out of it. Little things in life are capable of making Adagio feel happy as that golden light came out of her once more. It seems to only show up when Adagio is experiencing or giving happiness to others.

"Kricketot!" Kricketot jumped around in the soap before landing on Adagio's stomach.

"Oof!" Adagio's eyes widened as she didn't expect the impact to be a bit hard from a little Kricketot. "You little...!"

"Tot!" Kricketot hugged Adagio's face, quickly making the siren happy once more.

"Aw..." Gushing at her partner, Adagio patted Kricketot on the head as she hugged him back. Once she did, the golden light got brighter afterwards.

In fact, her light became so bright and potent that it reached outside of the house. And when it did reach the outside, it immediately affected the nearest ponies and Pokemon.

A sense of comfort and warmth was given to the nearby ponies and Pokemon because of the golden light. Their minds were being cleared all of a sudden as they felt most of their worries fade away.

"Hm...Something feels amazing..." Lyra sighed.

"Yeah..." Bon Bon nodded in response.

"Oh! My bruise is healing!" Silver Spoon noticed that the bruise that was on her hoof was being healed by the golden light with ease. "Sweet!"

"Where's it coming from? Pretty comfortable, if you ask me," Ash said as he was taking in this light.

"Pika...!"

"I think it's coming from there." Spike pointed over at Aria and Sonata's house.

"Axew?"

"Our home?" Aria and Sonata both said.

The source of the wonderful light had been found. Everypony was able to spot where it was coming from because of how wide and vibrant it was. Sonata swam over to her home, wondering what was generating that much light. And when she got there, opening the door, she saw that Adagio was the one creating it.

"Adagio!? It's you?!" Sonata exclaimed as everypony was alerted by Adagio's name.

"Gh!" Adagio winced as her golden light faded away once Sonata called her name and basically made the entire town aware of her existence here. Once that was done, that comfortable feeling was gone.

Adagio slowly opened the door as she glared at Sonata with upset eyes for blowing her cover. And Sonata laughed nervously, knowing that she messed up.

"Hehe...whoops..."

"Adagio? How long have you been here?" Fluttershy asked.

"Too long if you ask me..." Adagio grizzled her fangs. "Way to blow my cover, Sonata."

"Sorry..." Sonata pouted.

"Were you the one making that super pretty and feel good light, Adagio?" said Pinkie Pie.

"What light?" Adagio narrowed her eyes.

"You didn't notice?" Sonata spoke in a confused tone. "It's all bright and gold and it was super wide!" She spread her hooves out. "And it was coming straight from you."

"Hm. Well, I didn't see any light." Adagio shook her head.

"You mean you can't see it?!" Sonata gasped before getting in Adagio's face. "Then how come we can see it?!"

"I don't know!" Adagio yelled back. "But now that you all know that I'm here, I don't want any of you getting in my business or talking to me apart from my sisters."

"What about Sunny?" Sonata brought Sunset up.

"Gr!" Adagio growled. "Her too if she stays away from me! By the time these 2 months blow over, I'm out of here and I never want to see you all or this town ever again, got it?!" Adagio slammed the door in front of Sonata, startling everyone.

"Sheesh...What a grump," said Cranky.

"Oh, it's fine!" Sonata shrugged it off. "Adagio may be harsh, but she's super nice when you get to know her. You should see her when she's with Kricketot! So cute! Right, Ash?"

"She does have a great bond with Kricketot. And she's not that bad, ya know." Ash nodded.

"Pikachu!"

"You seriously trust her, Ash?" Lyra asked.

"Mhm." Ash gave a thumbs up.

"Yeah well, friendly or not, If she wants to be left alone then that's her choice." Amethyst Star backed away from the house. "But some more of that golden light would be nice."

"It healed my bruise see?" Silver Spoon showed it to Diamond Tiara. "I think it's some sort of healing light too."

"Ooh..." Diamond Tiara gawked.

"If Adagio's here then...We should get to know her better!" Pinkie Pie climbed up Ash's shoulder.

"Oh, um, maybe it's best we left her alone." Fluttershy chimed in. "I mean, she wants to be alone after all so we can respect her privacy? Plus, it might be dangerous to get involved."

"Hah!" Cranky wheezed as he walked off. "Like Pinkie Pie will let her have privacy..."

"Well..." Pinkie thought about it for a moment. "It'd be nice to talk to her some more but I'll stay back for a while."

"Adagio just needs some time that's all." Sonata flailed her hoof. "But honest! She's great! Even if she doesn't show it..."

Adagio had heard everything from the outside was she wanted to permanently close her ears off from all this talk about her. She didn't want anypony's company aside from her sisters. Adagio, wanting to forget about this, curled up on the bed with her Kricketot, deciding to get some more sleep.

"I hate them all." She murmured as Kricketot climbed up on her head, entering her large mane as Adagio took a nap.

18:00.

Sunset came into the house with Aria and Sonata, slowly opening the door to make sure that they don't wake up Adagio.

"Good work today, Popplio," Aria whispered to her partner.

"Lio."

"Is she still asleep?" Sonata uttered. "I thought she was going to make some plans for the rest of the day."

"After the last day of the festival, it's no wonder she'd fall asleep again. I've never seen her so active before." Aria whispered as she quietly closed the door. But Adagio could hear them since she was about to wake up. But she kept her eyes closed for a bit more rest."

"She looks kinda peaceful when asleep, huh?" Sunset looked at Adagio's peaceful sleeping.

"Sure does." Sonata nodded. "But she'd look even more peaceful if she wasn't so grumpy all the time."

"Can you blame her?" Aria patted Popplio on the head. "After what happened years ago, if I were still in her position, I'd be surly for a really long time. Especially against ponies."

"Why? What happened years ago?" Sunset asked as the atmosphere in the room changed from that question. Aria and Sonata paused after hearing those words.

"Well..." Sonata twiddled with her hooves.

"I'll say something, don't worry, Sonata. And I'll make it quick and simple." Aria placed Popplio down. She stood up, swivelling around to face Sunset as she was confident enough to tell her the truth. "You see...Adagio hates ponies because of what they did to our species. And our mother."

"Huh?" Sunset sat down, ready to listen in on this. Adagio's ears twitched after hearing what Aria was about to say.

"Our mother and the rest of our species were all sent or driven away by seven ponies one day. While the three of us were younger back then. We saw how these portals were being opened up to send the other sirens away. It was a totally one-sided battle the whole way through. They were either lured into it, tricked or knocked back through the portals. And each time they were sent through it the portals would close on them."

"That's the same way you came to the human world, right?" Sunset asked.

"Yeah, years later. But not before seeing our own mother fall into one as well. She stopped attacking to protect us from harm and to just get us to safety away from the portals. It was really scary. Seeing mom like that and everything. She managed to save us but ended up getting caught by a portal as we watched. And the last thing we got from her was her pendant. The one that Adagio wears."

"Your mother's pendant?" Sunset looked over at Adagio's neck.

"Mom..." Sonata whimpered when Aria broke the story down to Sunset Shimmer.

"And then, years later, we were found by those same seven ponies and you know how it ends. Just like our mom and everyone else, we were sent to the human world. But ever since then, we've never found our mom. Or any other siren at all."

"Popplio?"

"I-I didn't know that. "Sunset rubbed her hoof. "I-I'm sorry..."

"Don't be." Aria was strong enough to hold back her tears but Sonata wasn't. "It's not your fault anyway, so don't blame yourself for something you didn't do."

"Still...I didn't know that you lost your mother and species like that and never found them. And I guess that's the main reason why Adagio hates ponies, right?"

"No other reason. But, even if she hates ponies, we don't. We hate those seven ponies for what they did. But we don't hate you at all. Or anypony here even. After all, you didn't cause it anyway."

"And you're all so super nice too!" Sonata dashed over to Sunset, hugging her.

"Having friends and being here kinda changed everything. We've never been so happy before because of this and we've even managed to keep on living without disharmony. It's an odd feeling for sure. But one we never knew we needed."

"Popplio!" Popplio hopped into Aria's hooves.

"But...we still miss our mother." Aria's tone changed. "If we could see her again, if she's still around, that'd be great. Greater than anything really."

"And everyone else too. If they're out there somewhere in the human world, then maybe one day, we can see each other again." Sonata smiled.

"Hm." Sunset nodded. "I understand. I can see why Adagio hates us now. If I had known-"

"Nopony else could've known." Aria shook her head. "Well, Celestia knows now. And Chrysalis too I think. So I guess it's becoming more common."

"Hmm..." Sunset looked over at Adagio, seeing her in a vastly different light. "Well, I should probably get some sleep myself right now."

"Same here. I'm spent..." Sonata yawned as she climbed on the bed.

"Don't take up too much space this time, okay?" Aria said to Sonata.

"Pssh! I don't take up space!" She babbled back as the two of them were getting up to their usual bickering once more. They all decided to rest up until tomorrow while Adagio had received everything. Including Sunset's words.

Minutes later, Sunset, Aria and Sonata had put themselves to sleep as the moon had risen finally. The night had arrived. Adagio was awake at this time as she got off the bed with her Kricketot also being asleep.

Adagio was not going to do anything during the night. Instead, after hearing the conversation between her sisters and Sunset Shimmer, the young siren could only do one thing.

She started tearing up as she wiped her eyes, sniffling and trying to keep it down so that her sisters and Pokemon could sleep. But, similar to Adagio a few minutes ago, Sunset could hear Adagio's sniffling and whimpering from her eyes as she had one eye awake. The young unicorn then heard Adagio say one word while she tried to hold back her tears.

"Mom," Adagio whimpered.

Hearing that, Sunset turned around, closing her eyes as she felt great empathy for Adagio. She went back to sleep, leaving Adagio to herself now.

But she wasn't the only one feeling a certain emotion. Adagio had gained something new as well. From how Aria said she doesn't hate all ponies, just those seven ponies specifically and Sunset's apology even if she didn't need to apologize for anything, the entire conversation made Adagio aware that her hatred for all ponies might be a bit erroneous.

After all, she actually did not hate all ponies. There were three major exceptions in the form of Celestia, Sunlight and Eventide, who Adagio was thinking about right now. But her hatred for them was still there.

She still held bitterness to them all and especially those seven who she hates more than even Twilight Sparkle and Sunset Shimmer. But strangely, her disdain for Twilight and Sunset was somewhat weakening. And the final word that also hit Adagio was how Aria said that she and Sonata have found happiness here. And that happiness is how they were somehow still living on.

Adagio shook her head, trying to ignore everything she had just heard. But at this point, everything around her was changing. From Celestia, Sunlight, Eventide, Chrysalis and even to an extent Ash and Rarity, Adagio was no longer the vengeful and cruel siren she was. And she knew it.

"Forget it," Adagio said as she walked outside of the house to clear her head.

When she came outside, she could see how everypony here were just smiling and having fun with their friends, family and Pokemon. Seeing how happy they were, took Adagio back to Aria's comment on ponies overall. Even after what she did here in Ponyville and how ruthless she battled in the Canterlot Tournament, Adagio was not hated, despite her own hatred for the ponies.

"Pikachu?" Pikachu came to Adagio, holding some food in his hand.

"Hm?" Adagio looked down at Pikachu.

"Pika?" He offered his food to her.

"You're giving me some...?"

"Pika-Pika!"

"Pikachu's full and can't eat anymore." Ash walked up to Adagio. "And so am I too. I'm stuffed!"

"Hm...Thanks." Adagio used her magic to take the food from Pikachu's hand.

"Alright, buddy. Let's head home now."

"Pikachu." Pikachu hopped onto Ash's shoulder, ready to leave.

"See ya soon!" Ash and Pikachu waved goodbye to Adagio, returning back to their world by passing through the gateway to Pallet Town.

The Pokemon School day.

It was back to the school since the Pokemon Festival had ended. And further lessons can continue. But right now, there was a teachers meeting going on, so the students were on their own this time and could do whatever they want so as long as they don't cause too much trouble. Some could even work without the teachers here by following the project brief of their respective class.

"You're here now. You can head back to your Poke Ball, okay?" Applejack spoke to Golett who was still clinging onto her even after the Pokemon Festival had ended.

"Golett!"

"According to this brief right here, we'll be doing possession soon." Twilight looked at the project brief for Fantina's class.

"Possession?" Fluttershy looked at the brief. "You mean we'll have Ghost-Type Pokemon enter us eventually?"

"I don't know if I like that..." Starlight grumbled.

"But if it makes us understand Pokemon better, then I'll take it." Rainbow Dash laid on her back.

"We could get a head start." Pinkie appeared in between. "Golett's a Ghost-Type so maybe we can see what it's like. I mean, I've never been possessed by a ghost before."

"Lett?" Golett looked over at Pinkie Pie.

"Eh? Eh?" Pinkie Pie was offering a chance to be possessed by Golett if she could.

"Gol." But Golett couldn't actually perform it. "Lett."

"Golett says that it can't possess anyone. It's not that kind of Ghost-Type." Fluttershy translated.

"Huh?!" Pinkie pulled back. "Seriously?!"

"I guess not all Ghost-Types can possess others. Golett here's hard as a rock. Or ground...somehow." Applejack patted Golett on the back, feeling its solid body.

"Gol."

"So what do we now? Just sit about?" Starlight asked.

"Well, I'll be working on the brief," Twilight said. "What about all of you?"

"Don't know actually." Rainbow Dash yawned. "I mean, we know a lot about Pokemon now because of what we've been through."

"Right." Fluttershy nodded. "Even before the Pokemon School came along. But I guess right now, we're just learning how to survive against certain Pokemon Types and that's it."

"There's always something new to learn." Twilight stood up. "Mewtwo himself said it best. The Pokemon World is vast after all. There's still a lot we don't know that is out there. So having this school with so many experienced trainers is what we need, really. They can teach us so much."

"Guess so." Starlight replied.

"By the way, Twilight. I heard you found an amazing egg the other day at Frenzy Forest." Fluttershy said. "One that has a fully evolved Pokemon in it!"

"Mhm. A Togekiss." Twilight nodded. "Right now it's at my lab, resting. Hopefully, it doesn't hatch soon cause I think Delphox wants it back in its egg form. But anyway, let's try one of these tasks from the project brief."

"Like possessing?!" Pinkie grinned.

"M-Maybe. We have other Ghost-Types to choose from anyway."

The Principal's Office, Teacher's meeting.

Cynthia and all the teachers here had gathered for the meeting as they were currently discussing matters that only focused on the students.

"So it's agreed?" Cynthia spoke. "To take our students to the next step as Pokemon Trainers, we take them to the new Kalos Training Facility in Shalour City."

"Most of my students in my class are capable trainers," Fantina said. "They've been around Ash the most so they already know a lot about Pokemon by this point."

"She's right on that." Brawly raised his finger. "By this point, we won't have much to teach them if we go on."

"Then the training facility's the best place for them to go," Olympia replied to Brawly. "It has an entire simulation room that replicates many Pokemon habitats. It's perfect for the students to learn how to act through disaster situations."

"Can't we just use the Frenzy Forest like before?" Roxie asked while holding her guitar. "It's the real deal anyway, so wouldn't that be better."

"It's simply just a forest and nothing more. The simulation room has entire environments of different varieties. From mountains, dunes, marshes and all sorts." Roxanne explained.

"Oh. Okay, I guess that's better." Roxie nodded.

"Good. The training facility had just opened up 4 weeks ago, so it's relatively new and fresh. I believe this is a good opportunity to have them have a small test run now before the practical, wouldn't you all agree?" Cynthia asked everyone.

And they all agreed. Today, the students all had something to look forward to. Something they won't expect at all. A simulation of all things. With the agreement, the teacher meeting came to an end as they were all preparing to head out and bring the students along to Shalour City.

But before, that one other thing had to be done with every class and student here.

Fantina opened the door to announce two things. The first being about the training facility and the second was yet to be revealed.

"Attention à la classe!" Fantina exclaimed as she grabbed everypony's attention. But when she entered the class and called for the students, she noticed that something was off.

One of the students was possessed. And that student was Pinkie Pie as she was currently on the ceiling, moving around like a spider with her eyes and pupils being completely back and hollow. Fantina noticed a Poke Ball on the ground. One of which came from the box of Poke Balls that had Ghost-Type Pokemon in them.

Pinkie stuck her tongue out as it was purple as she kept crawling around the ceiling while Twilight and the others had a poker face while staring at Fantina.

"Oh, mon Arceus...What happened?!" Fantina gasped.

"Ehehehe..." Twilight laughed sheepishly.

"We uh..." Applejack came forward and told the truth. "We were gonna test out that whole possessing thing on that brief. We sent out a Duskull and this happened..."

"ʂαƚɾσɱ ყɳσρ ƚɳҽʅσʂɳι ,ყƚιʅαυϙ ƚʂҽԋɠιԋ ҽԋƚ ϝσ ყɾƚʂαρ ԃɳα ʂҽƙαƈρυƈ ҽɱ ɠɳιɾႦ ʅʅιɯ υσყ!" Pinkie Pie spoke undescribable words that were hard to understand.

"I see." Fantina nodded in understanding. "Alright, stand back." She dug into her pockets, bringing out a Poke Ball to deal with this odd and eerie situation. "Dusknoir! Aidez-nous!" Out came a Dusknoir when she tossed the Poke Ball upwards.

"Dusknoir!"

"Could you be a dear and help remove the Duskull inside of Pinkie Pie over there?" Fantina pointed over at the possessed Pinkie Pie who was licking the ceiling while standing on it.

"Noir." Dusknoir understood as it flew up to the possessed pink pony who had its first stage evolution inside of her.

"Hυԋ?" Pinkie looked up at the Gripper Pokemon with soulless eyes.

"Dusk...Noir!" Not wasting any time, Dusknoir shoved its hand into Pinkie Pie's mouth, going straight for Duskull as everypony gasped.

"Bɯααɠԋ!" Pinkie Pie squirmed as she could feel something being ripped out of her body while Dusknoir's hand was through her throat and stomach.

But Dusknoir wasn't grabbing any of her body parts. Instead, it pulled out a purple stream of Ghost energy from Pinkie Pie's mouth, flying back as the stream got longer.

"Oh my..." Fluttershy closed her eyes.

"Urgh..." Rainbow Dash felt like she was going to be sick as she was on the verge of hurling.

"Dusknoir!" Effortlessly, Dusknoir pulled the purple stream out as it transformed back into a Duskull, freeing Pinkie Pie of her possession.

"Mm...Mm?" Pinkie Pie blinked as her usual eye colour was back to normal and everything. And what was also back to normal was her non-existent ability to climb up on walls. It took a few seconds for Pinkie Pie to realize what position she was in. "Uh oh."

After coming to that realization, she fell from the ceiling screaming. But thankfully, Dusknoir grabbed her with one hand while having Duskull in its other hand.

"Dusk."

"Phew...Thanks." Pinkie Pie sighed as she was placed down.

"Return." Fantina returned both Duskull and Dusknoir to their Poke Balls, solving the issue fairly quickly with ease. "Ah. There. Simple enough."

"Sorry Ms Fantina." Pinkie Pie and her friends apologized.

"C'est Bon. At least now you know what to expect very soon. But never mind that right now. I have two important news to give out now."

"Oh?" The students all gathered up.

"First. We'll all be heading to Shalour City in Kalos for some training. Training that involves certain disasters in habitats if you understand what I mean. Us teachers will explain everything along the way."

"Disasters? Oh, I get it!" Twilight and Starlight understood immediately.

"But before we leave, we need to one little thing first!" Fantina rubbed her hands together, building up suspense for everyone here. "First, I'll have you decide on a class representative."

Oh!" Everypony immediately burst out with sound, minus a few after hearing those words.

"Oooh! Ooh! Pick me!" Rainbow Dash raised her hoof, immediately going first.

"Me too!" Amethyst Star aggressively waved her hoof.

"I'd like to attempt it too!" Rarity chimed in.

"Well being a class representative sounds-" Fluttershy was about to speak until Twilight smashed her hooves onto a table.

"Yes please!" Twilight shouted.

"Right here! Look at me!" Pinkie Pike was blowing confetti everywhere, trying to be the loudest in the classroom. Then again, mostly everypony here was hyperactively loud with constant bellows and screams filling the place, even going as far as to be heard from the outside of the class.

James and Meowth, who were acting as the janitors of the school, were passing by on duty as they heard all the commotion nearby in the room to their left.

"Calmez-vous..." Fantina settled everypony down. "We'll just vote on it instead of random choosing. Besides, all of you know each other well so I trust you can find the right pony for the role. Just don't vote for yourself, compris? It needs to be done quick before we leave."

"Yes, Mrs!"

8 minutes later.

The votes were in. Everypony had decided who they were going for via papers. The decision of who would be the class representative had been made. Including a deputy class rep.

The one who won was Twilight who received 14 votes. And right behind her was Fluttershy who obtained 10.

"Yes!" An overjoyed Twilight flew up, feeling successful for gaining the role. She seemed to be the one most determined to receive it anyway. She aggressively clapped her hooves together, feeling like a little kid at this moment. "Knew I could get it!"

"Oh." Fluttershy made a poker face, surprised that she actually received second place. "I didn't think I'd get that far..."

"Zero votes..." Rainbow Dash placed her face on a table, feeling defeated.

"Castform..." Castform came out of Rainbow Dash's saddlebag to pat her on the head and comfort the pegasus.

"Aww!" Pinkie Pie pouted. "Just 6 votes?

"Surprised I even got 7..." said Starlight.

"C'est décidé! Princess Twilight is the class rep and Fluttershy is the deputy class rep!"

"That's not so bad," Lyra said. "Really works actually."

"She's already the Princess of Friendship so it makes sense, right?" BonBon replied.

"Every time she 1UPs me..." Just like Rainbow Dash, Amethyst Star felt defeated when Twilight came out on top.

"Alright then. Now that we've finished that. It's time for us to leave for the training facility. Let's not waste any time, okay?"

Shalour City, Kalos. The City of Awakening. The seaside home of the Tower of Mastery, where the legend of mysterious Mega Stones lives on.

Everyone was currently on a bus since the training facility was fairly far away and couldn't be easily accessed by just passing through a gateway. During the ride, Fantina and the other teachers had broken down everything to the students along the way, so that they know what they're getting themselves into.

"A simulation of Pokemon environments? Boy, the technology in the Pokemon World sure is advanced, isn't it?" Rainbow Dash said.

"Kinda scary too..." Applejack grumbled.

"We've only been to a few environments with Pokemon right?" Fluttershy asked.

"Yeah, but most of it is just forests, mountains, islands and grasslands. And one desert." Pinkie rambled. "We might get to go on a volcano today! Or maybe even a tropical savanna! That'd be fun!"

"From Terrestrial, Marine and possibly even the skies themselves." Twilight listed what the teachers told her and the other students. "It's a good thing we're allowed to bring our Pokemon with us. I know Absol will be great in this because of his time in the wild."

"Sceptile's been through a lot of forests and is like the king of them or something like that. So I ain't got nothing to worry about." Applejack laid on her back on the seats.

"I've got 3 Pokemon that can fly no problem." Rainbow grinned. "The skies are mine."

"Not sure how different Ultra Space is from our world but...Pheromosa might have an easier time there," said Rarity. "If not then I can also count on my Leavanny's and Ampharos."

"Easy for you all to say. None of my Pokemon have that much experience." Pinkie Pie pouted. "My Slurpuff's and Spinda's aren't like yours. But I'm not scared. I've got Spinda's Metronome to ride on."

"Isn't a bit of a wild card that move?" Rainbow Dash narrowed her eyes.

"Very unpredictable in every way. Are you sure you want to use a move like that in any of the environments?" Twilight questioned.

"No need to worry. I'm totally 100% sure that Spinda won't let me down. We'll get moves that won't cause too much damage. Right, Spinda?"

"Spinda." Spinda popped out of Pinkie Pie's mane, nodding in agreement.

"If it doesn't end up being 100% it might as well be 50%." Rarity wasn't sure about the safety of Metronome when they get to the facility.

None of them knew what to expect either way. The environments they've been to so far have all been tame, gentle and safe. Like the Pikachu Highlands, Deerling Forest, Evolution Valley, Lapras Lake etc. All places where anyone can settle down and relax. They have yet to really come across a location that can be considered life-threatening.

Not yet at least.

Over at the back of the bus, the teachers were there conversing with each other. Their job was to keep the students safe and protected at all costs in case something goes out of hand.

And since so far, the Pokemon School only had students who were at lower levels as of now, the only teachers that came along were Roxanne, Brawly, Roxie with the exception of Fantina who is a higher level than the three of them considering her role in Sinnoh.

"I kinda wanna try that facility out myself..." Brawly closed his eyes, wanting to involve himself with the training if he wasn't a teacher.

"You've already been through harsh environments, Mr surfer. You've even surfed on a tsunami. Why would you need it?" Roxanne asked.

"You surfed on a tsunami?!" Roxie gasped.

"Hehe!" Brawly grinned, feeling really proud of himself. "Sure did. It was light work. No problem at all."

"Yeah with some destruction in the process..." Roxanne shook her head.

"But are we just gonna stand there and watch? Can I rock out there to kill some time?" Roxie asked.

"We're there to keep them safe. So there's no time for anyone to 'Rock Out'." Roxanne wagged her finger. "The safety of the students is more important."

"Mmm...Still wanna rock out anyway." Roxie slumped on the seat.

"No need to be so strict, Roxanne." Fantina placed her hand on Roxanne's shoulder. "Learn to cut-loose and have some fun from time to time."

"I-I know how to have fun." Roxanne stammered.

"You sure do. Like when you went crazy on one of my guitars during the Pokemon Festival, remember?" Roxie reminded Roxanne. "You were really getting into it."

"It was just the heat of the moment." Roxanne tried to play it cool by crossing her arms.

While the teachers and students had their own exchanges, the bus was finally approaching the Pokemon Training Facility that was located on the far North of Shalour City.

Everyone looked through the window to see the facility in the distance. It was a dome-shaped building that scaled so high it could be considered an entire landscape of its own. Many trees surrounded the building as well as a huge blockade made entirely out of Skarmory wings.

The windows were all transparent so they got a quick glimpse of what was inside the dome and what to look forward to. Pinkie pressed her face on the window, gazing at the facility as well as everyone else.

Pokemon Training Facility.

Entering the facility, they were all greeted by the workers here as the entire room was a plan and flat white room that was seemingly empty. Definitely confusing to the eyes since the students all thought they had seen environments when looking through the window.

"Welcome to the Pokemon Training Facility!" The workers greeted. "Glad to have you here."

"Wait...where are the environments? Were we looking at the same thing outside?" Rainbow Dash moved her head around the flat white room.

"It's just...empty," Twilight said as her voice echoed through the room along with Rainbow Dash's voice.

"Ah, don't worry. You'll be seeing them very soon." One worker clapped his hands together. "This is just the room that starts the simulation."

"Starts?" All the students said. They did not understand how any of this works since this would be their first time being in a simulation. Ever.

"Get this." Brawly raised a finger. "This whole place is gonna change into a bunch of different environments with just a click of a button. Like you're being transported into another world or something."

"Oh? Really?!" Twilight's mane shot up. "That easily."

"Show them." Roxanne gave the order.

"Right!" With that, the workers all collectively pressed the same button, kicking off the simulation. The entire flat room suddenly changed as its white texture became black with green lines everywhere.

Twilight and everyone could feel the atmosphere around them changing as well as the area itself. As they all gasped, they looked around to see that various forms of landmass were being generated in front of their very eyes.

Titanic trees, hills, mountains, glaciers and even volcanoes appeared in just a matter of seconds that towered over everything and almost passed through the generated clouds of the generated sky.

And there was more than just the traditional green and lush forests, grasslands and islands that they were all so used to seeing. Dusty dunes, marshlands, icy tundras, shrublands, crags and so much more, all had various Pokemon living there. Everything here was disaster-prone.

These were all meant to replicate actual habitats that exist in the Pokemon World where the Pokemon live. And the cause for these disaster-like events is mostly the Pokemon because of their existence alone and what they do on a daily basis.

Needless to say, they were greatly impressed by what they were seeing. And what they had just witnessed. It was like experiencing the creation of an entire planet. Truly surreal to the eyes.

"It's all new and fresh so this is just a test run. Remember that." Roxanne said to the students. "Your practical for this has yet to come."

"So you're gonna spend some small time and go for the easier environments first. But if you wanna go big and wild for the rougher environments then knock yourself out." Brawly suggested.

"And don't worry. Everything here is fake as well as the Pokemon." Fantina shook her head. "But be careful. Parts of this simulation can still be nuisible. The Pokemon there won't go easy on you on as well."

"But we'll be there to help if things get rough. But then again...it's only gonna last for 20 minutes anyway..." Brawly adjusted his goggles.

"20 minutes is fine by us," said Rainbow Dash.

"Well then? What are you all waiting for? Let's see how you do against disaster situations then shall we?" The worker spoke as everyone immediately got a move on.

For safety measures, they all sent out their Pokemon early to protect them. But in this case, some of their Pokemon would have to learn how to act against these disaster situations themselves. Most of them aren't built for this with the only exceptions being Absol and Pheromosa who have both lived most of their lives in harsh conditions. So this will be a lesson for the Pokemon too.

First were the crags.

A mostly rocky area that had Rock-Types residing here. It had a black ground with bright speckles, large crystal outcroppings, gems and jewels everywhere as well as large rolling black hills and craters with fluorescent sparkles. Instead of trees, there are occasional crystal structures in a sort of tree shape, as well as large hooked crystalline structures and smaller bush-like structures. Large boulders could be seen scattered across the ground as they were larger than all the trees here by 2X.

Unfortunately, the crystals, gems and jewels were all fake so there was no point in taking them. But they felt real. Everything did.

"Oof..." Rarity could feel the rocky substance of the ground as she was with Applejack in this area. The rocks, despite being fake, felt authentic and real, like they were actually stabbing into their hooves. "They sure did go the extra mile of making it feel authentic, eh?"

"I'll say. I don't understand this tech stuff but it's impressive." Applejack replied as she kicked the rocks away with her hoof. Alongside her were Sceptile and Golett while Rarity had her Pheromosa out first. "So, when's the disaster gonna start?"

"Sceptile..." Sceptile narrowed his eyes, trying to spot where the direction of the disaster could occur. He hopped onto the trees via his speciality as he got to higher ground.

"Mosa." Pheromosa was getting a bit of odd nostalgia from being here. The gems and jewels reminded the Lissome Pokemon of her home.

For a while, there seemed to be little action happening while they wandered the rocky area of the crags. They were already far away from most of their friends by this point.

But, this simulation was not programmed to hold back at all even for newcomers. And it was new itself. The trick of the simulation is that it lets everyone feel the stillness of the atmosphere, making it seem like nothing eventful will happen for a long time. And then, it strikes at the right moment.

And that moment was now.

Coming straight from the rolling black hills, rumbling could be heard. But not the usual rumbling like an earthquake. Instead, to the ears of Rarity, Applejack and their Pokemon, it sounded like something was rolling so hard it was creating a force equal to that of an earthquake.

"What's that? Where's it coming from?" Rarity stopped walking as Applejack bumped into her because of the sudden halt.

"An earthquake?" Applejack adjusted her hat. "Nah. This doesn't feel like any ordinary earthquake."

"Tile...Sceptile?" Sceptile was the first to notice what was causing this since he had the high ground.

And what he noticed was a large cloud of black dust that was moving forward across the hills, acting a little bit like a hurricane as well. And in that gigantic dust cloud, there were large boulders being carried and currently airborne because of the hurricane properties, slowly on the verge of falling and crashing if given the chance.

And what was causing this dust cloud? A herd of Donphan were the cause. Their rolling was so aggressive and fast that they were forming up the black dust cloud themselves. And the large boulders managed to become airborne because of their actions.

"Don-don-don-don-don-don-don-don-don-don-don-don-don!" Each of them cried while rolling.

"Sceptile?!"

"What in tarnation is that?!" Applejack screeched as she spotted the Donphan and the black dust cloud large enough to consume this entire area. But the boulders were the biggest threat here as they were twice the size of the trees.

"Whatever it is...Run!" Rarity made the right call. Pheromosa quickly picked up Rarity, Applejack and Golett, using her amazing speed to run off while Sceptile utilized the trees around the area.

The black dust cloud consumed the nearby trees as the boulders were finally flying out of the dust cloud, falling from above. The boulders crushed the trees with their overwhelming size, leaving nothing but small pieces of bark behind.

Sceptile looked back to see that the trees behind him were dwindling in numbers as very soon, he wouldn't have any to jump and swing from when it's all said and done. But for now, he kept moving on by using the remaining trees in front of him, trying to outpace the approaching dust cloud.

But the cloud isn't what he and the others should worry about. Because two of the large boulders managed to get ahead of the others, heading straight towards Sceptile's direction.

"Tile?!" The Forest Pokemon looked up to see two boulders coming his way as they were in a perfect position to crush Sceptile. Seeing that in all likelihood, he would be crushed by the boulders, Sceptile decided to prevent that from happening.

He stopped by the nearest tree, halting his escape for a moment as he held his breath in, building up draconic energy inside of him. Meaning that he was about to use Dragon Pulse.

"Sceptile!" By exhaling with all his might, Sceptile fired a dragon-shaped shockwave from his mouth. This time, wider than what he usually has.

The Dragon Pulse was the right move for the job as it not only stopped the boulder from hitting Sceptile, but it shattered it into tiny little pebbles upon contact. Sceptile moved his mouth, redirecting the Dragon Pulse to hit the second boulder, obliterating it as well.

With those two boulders gone, Sceptile could keep moving forward. But there were still many more boulders within the cloud as it was getting closer by the minute.

Pheromosa, thanks to her amazing speed, was able to easily get a great distance away from the dust cloud as Applejack looked back to see her partner destroying the two rocks that almost crushed him, making Applejack sigh in relief.

"Excellent job, Pheromosa!" Rarity said. "But how are we going to stop it? It looks like it won't stop advancing."

"Ain't it obvious? We stop the Donphan's don't we?" Applejack replied. "As long as they stop that dust cloud's not a problem anymore."

"Oh, good point." Rarity nodded. "But they're all moving at such intense speeds. Any suggestions on how to slow them down?"

"Hold on let me think..." Applejack thought. She had to think fast because her partner was still on a high probable scale of being crushed or consumed by the dust cloud. And Pheromosa noticed that even with her amazing speed, she couldn't run forever.

But in truth, none of that mattered. Because the tides were beginning to change. The large dust cloud wasn't just coming from the front of the hills and behind them.

There was another. One that was coming from the side. And there were other Donphan's there as well with more boulders being seen.

"Mosa?!" Pheromosa and the others noticed that there was a dust cloud coming from both sides now instead of behind, further making things a bit trickier for them.

"More?!" Rarity gasped.

The boulders inside both dust clouds flew out earlier than the one behind them as multiple were raining down from above instead of just two this time.

The boulders couldn't catch up to Pheromosa but they didn't need to. Because of their overwhelming size, the second they crashed onto the ground, they created tremors. Tremors strong enough to disrupt Pheromosa's balance when she was running.

"P-Phero!" Pheromosa almost tripped because of the tremor and nearly dropped Rarity, Applejack and Golett with a loose grip and her very supple and light body. But thankfully, with great vigour, she was able to maintain her composure, holding onto her friends as she kept running.

The same couldn't be said for Sceptile. With three dust clouds near him, he was getting himself into a rough spot. And it was only going to worsen from hereon as one of the boulders crash-landed near him.

It created a tremor powerful enough to affect the trees themselves. The nearest tree that Sceptile wrapped his vines around had been toppled, breaking the Forest Pokemon's flow.

"T-Tile!" Sceptile's vines fell off as he no longer had any momentum.

"Ah! Sceptile!" Applejack noticed this as she saw her partner fall to the ground as the tree next to him fell over.

"Pheromosa! Turn around!" Rarity ordered, thinking about the safety of her friend first rather than continuing without Sceptile.

"Mo!" Understanding the situation, Pheromosa quickly veered on the ground before swivelling around. With a second burst of speed, the Lissome Pokemon ran to Sceptile's side while leaving her own dust cloud behind.

Pheromosa came across some falling boulders that almost made her lose balance when they crashed on the ground. Not only that, but one of them was heading straight for Pheromosa and the others, most likely to squish them all.

"Triple Kick!" Thankfully, Rarity had an answer for that.

"Pher!" Pheromosa quickly turned to the side, facing the boulder that was coming her way. Once the boulder got close enough, the Ultra Beast smashed her foot onto it with a single kick, shattering the boulder to pieces.

"Scep...tile?" Sceptile got up from the ground, feeling the tremors as the dust cloud was closing in on him.

"Sceptile! Bring your vines out!" Applejack commanded.

"Tile!" Sceptiole held his hand out, sending a single vine out as it targeted at Pheromosa. This was the result of teamwork in play as Pheromosa grabbed onto Sceptile's vine.

"Mosa!" With Pheromosa holding onto a vine from Sceptile, she could bring her friend along by dragging him. And that's what she did. She curved herself once more, gaining a third burst of speed as she took off, this time, dragging Sceptile along.

Sceptile was now surfing on the ground with Pheromosa pulling the vine. A downside was that Sceptile would have to feel the hard rocks scrape on his feet. The Donphan were still rolling along, causing the dust clouds to grow more ferocious.

"Sceptile! Use Dragon Pulse!" Applejack finally found a way to potentially stop the Donphan and their movement.

"Scep...Tile!" Rotating his head, Sceptile fired a single Dragon Pulse forward, only going for the Donphan in the cloud instead of the rocks this time.

"Don?!" Dragon Pulse had connected with one Donphan only. But that one Donphan was a good start. The Armor Pokemon lost its balance, exiting its curled-up position.

Donphan tumbled on the ground, which prompted the other Donphan's behind it to come across an unfortunate little debacle. The Donphan behind the one Donphan that was tumbling ended up crashing into their fellow Armor Pokemon. That's when the chaos began.

The moment the other Donphan crashed into each other, it created a somewhat sideways domino effect. The Donphan at the back had all lost their momentum, weakening the dust cloud they created.

Not only did it weaken the dust cloud, but it also made the boulders around them drop. And since the boulders were closer to the Donphan than anyone else, the tremors affected them the most.

Soon, all of the Donphan from the back had all lost their momentum, crashing and smashing into each other as the black cloud of dust had faded away with each of the Armor Pokemon falling over.

"Nice!" Applejack cheered.

"Sceptile!" Sceptile felt proud of himself for stopping that avalanche of boulders, smoke and Donphan.

But it wasn't over yet. There was still the left and right avalanche that they had to deal with. And they were closing the gap faster than the one behind.

"There are other ways to escape from situations such as this..." Rarity came up with her own idea. "Pheromosa! Smash through the ground!"

"Mosa!" Pheromosa nodded as she tossed Applejack, Rarity and Golett into the air while still holding onto Sceptile.

"W-Woah!" Applejack yelled.

"Golett!"

"Pheromo!" The Lissome Pokemon raised her leg, channelling all her strength into one juggernaut of a kick as her friends were currently airborne. Sceptile noticed that he had suddenly stopped moving because of Pheromosa. Thankfully, he didn't have to worry about the back since he stopped the Donphan from behind.

But he did have to worry about the sides since the gap was being closed at a very aggressive pace. Almost as fast as Pheromosa's speed.

"Mosa!" Pheromosa then smashed her foot on the ground, creating a large hole from the sheer impact of it. This is what Rarity was planning. Deep within that hole, a small little cave system with glowing gems and jewels could be seen.

"Now, jump in!"

"Phero!" Pheromosa, after making a hole, jumped off the ground as she grabbed Rarity, Applejack and Golett with one arm while still holding onto Sceptile and his vine.

"S-Scep?!" Sceptile was being lifted because of Pheromosa's jump as he held on for dear life. With the three of them in Pheromosa's hold, the Lissome Pokemon jumped into the hole while bringing Sceptile along.

The Forest Pokemon was the last to enter the hole as the dust clouds finally closed the gap, merging as one stronger black dust cloud. Thankfully, Sceptile entered at the very last second, escaping the clouds as one of the large boulders ended up clogging the hole, wedging itself in.

Everyone was safe as Pheromosa landed safely on the ground. Sceptile's landing wasn't as pleasant as his face and stomach hit the ground.

"T-Tile!"

"Whew..." Applejack exhaled as she climbed out of Pheromosa's hooves. "Way too close...that was just the first one..."

"No need to worry." Rarity was placed down along with Golett. "It's just for 20 minutes. And so far, I'd say we responded well to that disaster. Hopefully, that was the right way to do it actually."

"Mosa." Pheromosa helped Sceptile up, apologizing for harming him a bit with the dragging and falling into the hole parts.

"Sceptile..." Sceptile said it was fine.

"Now. Should we head on to the next location and see how we do?" Rarity asked.

"Doesn't this cave count?" Applejack stood up.

"I suppose so. But what disaster would a cave have?"

"Hopefully no more of that dust clouds." Applejack walked forward. "Let's hope everypony's having an easier time in their areas."

"Hopefully." Rarity nodded in agreement as she, Applejack and their Pokemon got a move on, advancing in the cave.

Pokemon Training Facility.

Where the students are going under a small little test run on how to deal with disasters they are sure to come across. Whether it is the Pokemon World or their own world where Pokemon-exclusive locations exist. And of course, the cause of these disasters come from the Pokemon themselves and their own actions.

Twilight, who was grouped with Starlight and Fluttershy, came across a tundra area. A mostly ice and snow-themed environment with small boulders and long, narrow crevasses to steep cliffs and tall mountain peaks. The mountains were clearly avalanche-prone, but they all had sharp and overwhelmingly large ice shards formed by Pokemon, plastered on them like decorations. Albeit decorations large enough to crush a house. Some of the Pokemon here even eat these gigantic ice shards for food. But it was a very little amount.

Many Ice- Types populate the landscape, despite how rare the Ice-Type is and how few of them there are, in this area, they are plentiful. There was also an ocean that developed slippery sheets of ice and large icebergs may be found just offshore.

"Well, I think we know which disaster we can expect here, right?" Starlight spoke.

"An Avalanche," Fluttershy responded. "But there might be something different. There could be a disaster we've never seen before."

"Or maybe some terrifying form of temperature. I know we're still in the flat room but it still feels so cold." Twilight shuddered. "They really did a great job at making this simulation feel real..."

"But...when is it going to show up?" Fluttershy stopped walking, wondering why the disaster hasn't shown up yet. If there was to be a disaster in a Tundra, the most common one would be blizzards, avalanches or even seismic earthquakes.

But so far, none of those were showing up. But something was coming and it was bound to cause a ruckus. And Audino's ears were the first to pick up something approaching.

"Audino?" Her feelers could detect that whatever was coming their way, it was from below the tundra. "Audino!"

"Below?!" Fluttershy gasped as she and Twilight quickly flew up while Starlight used magic to levitate herself. Once hearing that something was coming from below, they made sure that they wouldn't be hit by whatever disaster was heading their way.

Audino couldn't fly so she could only stay on the ground. Thankfully, Twilight used her magic to levitate the Hearing Pokemon as well as her own Pokemon. They held their breath in while Absol was ready to strike at any given time.

And from the ground emerged something they weren't expecting.

A group of Spheal with their round heads sticking out of the ground.

"Spheal! Spheal!"

"Oh. It's just some Spheal..." Twilight sighed. "Guess all their rolling must've caused some rumbling."

"That's some strong rolling..." Starlight closed her eyes.

"Spheal!" Each of the Clap Pokemon clapped their fins in unison, looking directly at Twilight and the others with cute faces.

"What are they doing?" Starlight wondered.

"The Spheal usually clap their fins to show their pleasure after eating something. Their mealtimes are very noisy." Fluttershy explained as the Spheal kept clapping without no ned.

"Spheal!" Just then, more Spheal showed up by emerging from the ground, right behind Twilight and the others. Then another showed from the sides. And they were all clapping as well.

Then more on the back, more on the front, more on the side and so on. For some odd reason, Spheal were just showing up in this one spot around Twilight and her friends, clapping their fins continuously.

It was a bit off-putting, seeing a sea of Spheal just clapping in unison while having one expression without even blinking once. Twilight and her friends felt really uneasy about this. They didn't know what to make of this situation. So far, it seemed harmless but highly ominous.

"Uh...I'm kinda getting scared now..." Starlight gulped as she spotted more Spheal just popping up and clapping their fins.

"They um...must've eaten an amazingly good meal?" Fluttershy squeed, trying to make the situation better.

"But why surround us? We didn't make anything." Twilight said. No one knew yet why the Spheal were doing this. Specifically around them.

But they wouldn't have to wonder for long as the collective clapping of thousands of Spheal was reaching a sound decibel of 40, which can be very harsh on the ears.

And especially Audino's ears.

"A-Audino!" Audino fell on the ground, holding her feelers as she was being attacked by 40 decibels of sound that had no signs of stopping.

"Ah! Audi!" Fluttershy gasped as she flew over to her partner. But very soon, with 60 decibels being generated from the clapping, Fluttershy, along with Twilight, Starlight and their Pokemon, felt this painful increase in sound with more Spheal showing up. "A-Agh!"

"T-Too loud!" Twilight yelled, covering her ears. But it was no use. Not with more Spheal showing up. She and her friends got on the ground, squirming with their ears being punished.

And as if things couldn't get any worse, all the decibels coming from the constant clapping was powerful enough to trigger an avalanche.

"Oh come on!" Starlight groaned as she looked at the approaching avalanche.

"A-Audino!" Audino's ears were on the verge of taking permanent damage. If that happens, then Audino may suffer from heavy hearing problems for a long time. One that even involves going deaf.

Thankfully, the Spheal had stopped since the avalanche was heading this way and not even they were safe from it. So it was time to bail. The Spheal all rolled away as they had already caused enough damage at this point.

"Audi! Are you okay?!" Fluttershy helped her partner up.

"D-Dino..." Audino's ears had taken a lot of damage, making the Hearing Pokemon groan and strain as her feelers were now ringing. Any other sensitive sound will only make the pain worse. Like Fluttershy's screaming. "Audino!"

"Oh, I'm sorry..." Fluttershy closed her mouth.

"We can stop that Avalanche...!" Twilight stood up. "Ninetales! Mystical Fire, go!"

"Nine...!" The Fox Pokemon's eyes flared red as magical flames were bursting out of his mouth. There was only one logical thing to do against an avalanche and that was to use fire on it. By opening his mouth, Ninetales sent a spiralling stream of red-orange fire with a mystical aura around it.

Obviously, being a powerful Fire-Type move in a natural ice-based environment, Mystical Fire absolutely overwhelmed the avalanche by melting it in mere seconds. Usually, it takes a while for snow or ice to melt when coming across heat, but not when Pokemon moves are in play.

As such, the avalanche was easily stopped. But what wasn't easily stopped were the gargantuan house-sized ice shards that had been knocked off when the avalanche first started. They weren't that easy to stop as they were rolling down the hill they came from, heading straight for Ninetales and the others.

"Tales?!"

"Those shards will crush us!" Starlight gasped.

"Not if we destroy them first! Ninetales! Mystical Fire one more time!"

"Ninetales!" A second time, Ninetales had fired Mystical Fire from his mouth, going for the rolling shards. The Fire-Type move was powerful to definitely hold the shards back, but Ninetales was only one Pokemon.

Thankfully, the first ice shard had melted from Ninetales' Mystical Fire, but he still had to deal with the rest of them that were heading their way.

"Drat! Not enough for all of them!" Twilight exclaimed. "Fluttershy! Can Audino use Hyper Beam to blow them all away?"

"Sorry Twilight. But Audi's in pain right now. Her feelers have been really injured. And too much noise will only make it worse."

"Audino..."

"Then in that case...we'll make it a combined effort." Twilight made sure to tone it down so that she doesn't harm Audino's ears. "Eve, Dazzling Gleam. Absol, Dark Pulse. Minccy, Focus Blast. Ninetales, Mystical Fire once more."

"Hatterene, use Psycho Cut."

In unison, all 5 of their Pokemon collectively fired their strongest attacks at once, aiming for each of the shards that were in their line of fire.

Fire, Fighting, Psychic, Dark and Fairy energy came flying out, crossing the streams between each other, but they didn't merge as most moves do. But it was probably for the best since merging would only deal with one large ice shard.

All 5 attacks collided with the shards in front of them. And upon contact, they had the right amount of power to either melt, slice or shatter them completely. With Mystical Fire melting them, Psycho Cut slicing them into pieces, Focus Blast shattering them and Dazzling Gleam bombarding them with rainbow rays until there was nothing left.

A combined effort was just what they needed to stop the disaster from getting to them. Thus saving them from the first disaster and keeping Audino safe from harm since she was a bit unresponsive and inactive right about now. The cold smoke was settling, finally.

"Okay...That puts an end to that." Twilight sighed. "Not so bad for our first disaster response, huh?"

"Yeah, I guess..." Starlight laid on her back.

"Espeon..." Eve and the others felt the same as they all sat down.

"Did those Spheal do that on purpose?" Starlight wondered.

"The Pokemon here are made to cause disasters for us to handle, so I guess so." Twilight nodded. "But I didn't think that's how they'd do it. Why are the smaller Pokemon the biggest troublemakers?"

"Is it healing up yet, Audi?" Fluttershy asked.

"Audino..." Audino's feelers would take some time to recover. She would have to stray away from loud sounds in the meantime.

"Maybe we should rest a bit before we continue any further," Fluttershy suggested.

"This whole thing only lasts 20 minutes total. I'm sure we'll be done soon," replied Twilight. "And it's just a test run too."

"Audino..."

"But...maybe a few minutes won't hurt." Twilight squeed, seeing that Audino certainly needed the rest.

But the simulation certainly doesn't allow any rest. Right now, it was all about putting the pressure on. After the ice shard avalanche disaster came to an end, it was already preparing for the next disaster. In the very far distance, one particular disaster was still ongoing.

The same disaster that involved the Donphan and the rain of large boulders in the dust cloud. And from how it was moving and which direction it was heading in, it could end up in the tundra with this group.

9 minutes remain.

And speaking of other groups, the rest of the students had come across their own disasters caused by Pokemon. But most of them chose the easier ones while little went for the difficult ones. And, in a sense, Twilight's group had a somewhat in the middle option with the Spheal and shards. It wasn't too difficult but neither was it easy as well.

There were toxic spills on the terrain by Poison-Types, Kingdra's creating whirlpools by simply yawning, Exploud's that just caused mass environmental damage with their voices alone and even Dugtrio with their unpredictable potential to cause deadly earthquakes.

Although, most of the students had avoided those environments after spotting them in the distance. They definitely didn't feel like they were ready to tackle any of them yet.

But one individual who felt more than brave enough was Rainbow Dash who was partnered up with Pinkie Pie. She believed that she could take on the toughest environments early on. And her Pokemon would be there to assist her through it.

The area they came across was a bizarre amalgamation of two different disaster-prone areas. Volcanoes and ferocious downpours filled with heavy rainfall and strong winds with high chances of lightning.

This wasteland-like area had flat regions from hills to sharp mountains, filled with large giant black outcroppings and rivers and pools of deadly lava. There are few trees here, and only the toughest and hard-ridden Pokemon can survive this harsh and cruel terrain. The Pokemon in this area weren't limited to one type. They actually varied.

The biggest thing here was the gigantic volcano smack-dab in the middle. It was obviously going to erupt. But it was up to the simulation to decide when it will erupt. This one wasteland area was the closest to the tundra.

"Did you hear that?" Rainbow Dash's ears had picked up on some sounds earlier.

"Hm? Hear what Pinkie Pie replied.

"I heard a bunch of clapping coming from somewhere. Ah, it's probably nothing too big."

"We've got like 9 minutes to go, Rainbow Dash! Let's make it count! How about that volcano?"

"Already ahead of you!" Rainbow Dash instantly flew up, leaving behind a shockwave as her Braviary, Altaria and Castform followed her since they were able to fly as well. "Just wait! I've read a bunch of Daring Do comics to know how to deal with a volcano..."

"Oh. Okay. I'll be down here if you need me!" Pinkie bounced along with her Spinda and single Slurpuff. Unbeknownst to them, the volcano isn't what they should be worrying about.

From both the ground level and sky level. The atmosphere in this area was already thick and dense, but it was about to change very soon as Rainbow Dash ascended with her Pokemon, waiting for the volcano to act.

"Come on...Erupt already..." Rainbow Dash narrowed her eyes, biding her time.

Meanwhile, on the ground, Pinkie Pie was just enjoying herself, unphased by these disaster-prone areas as she bounced on the harsh rocks which didn't even harm her. After all, she used to live on a rock farm, so this was nothing. Her Slurpuff think otherwise.

"Hmm-hmm!" Pinkie Pie started humming and singing along the way while bouncing near pools of lava. "A kid from Pallet Town with a brand new world to see...Hmm-hm-hm-hmm-hmmm!"

As she bounced through this amalgamation area of lava and wind, Pinkie Pie bounced into a small little cave system that had jewels and gems glowing inside, which greatly caught her attention.

"Ooh! Pretty!" She gawked at the glowing cave, surprised that something like this would be in a harsh environment. If only they were real. She knew that Rarity would love to grab these and Spike would enjoy chomping down on them.

And speaking of Rarity, Pinkie Pie could hear very familiar voices nearby in this cave. Two familiar voices actually. One belonging to Rarity and the other Applejack.

"Oh! Rarity?! Applejack!" The pink pony shot up as she let out a prolonged gasp. Hearing her friends, she immediately dashed off to reunite with her friends while also losing distance from Rainbow Dash.

And speaking of Rainbow Dash, while in the air, she could feel the downpours trying to force her Pokemon out of the sky and back down on the ground. This would be similar to what happened in Griffonstone, although ever since that experience, the same mistake won't happen again. The same couldn't be said for Altaria and Castform, especially Castform with his light body. But thankfully, Braviary was there to help them.

"We've got like 7 minutes left here. How come this thing isn't erupting?" Rainbow Dash grumbled, flying towards the volcano. "Hey! Erupt already!" She smashed her hoof on the volcano, trying to trigger it. But it did nothing.

The volcano was lifeless now instead of active. Not even a slight rumble. However, something did trigger, but it came from above instead of the volcano.

The clouds had responded to Rainbow Dash's action as they were rumbling with blue lights flashing in them. That only meant one thing. A thunderstorm was due.

And due it was. With a flash of light that only Rainbow Dash and Braviary could react to in time, a vicious bolt of lightning came from the clouds with thunder booming and cracking the sky with its devastating sound.

"WAH!" Rainbow Dash yelled as she and Braviary managed to avoid the lightning bolt in time with Braviary holding both Altaria and Castform in his wings, saving them.

"Braviary!"

While they managed to avoid the lightning bolt, something worse was coming their way. Three things to be exact. The first was that more lightning bolts were coming out of the sky since a thunderstorm was now taking place, forcing Rainbow Dash and Braviary to get a move on.

The second was arguably the worst as one of the lightning bolts hit the volcano square in the middle. Upon contact, an electrical discharge was formed, mingling with the lava and fragmenting particles of volcanic ash.

This was known as Volcanic Lightning. The powerful bolts of lighting inside of the volcano were just strong enough to trigger the volcano as it was finally rumbling. A large cloud of volcanic ash started coming out of the volcano as Rainbow Dash and her Pokemon back away.

The volcanic ash was large enough to block out a majority of the sky in this area and possibly even beyond because of how large it was and how much more was coming out.

Not just that. Sparks of lightning could be seen in the cloud while the volcano's rumbling intensified. A darkness so great and intense that it even diminished the glow of the gems and jewels in the caves. It was as if the environment was being drowned in darkness but it had some light within the ash.

But not the best kind of light as lightning bolts flew out of the volcanic ash cloud, almost hitting Braviary's wing. The lightning bolt hit a nearby mountain, shattering it and cleaning the top part off with ease.

But that wasn't the worst part. Even with all the lightning bolts flying out from the volcanic ash and clouds above, the volcano was what truly mattered as it had finally erupted.

And with a thunderous and virulent sound, a plume of lava came bursting out with lightning bolts surrounded it, only boosting its destructive capabilities.

"Uh...Time to go!" Rainbow Dash, realizing that this was a bit too extreme, even for her, decided to dash off from this disaster as far away as possible. And so did her Pokemon as the lightning was also chasing them down, destroying the landmass in the process.

And finally, the third one, which wasn't as bad as the dust cloud from the crags that were making their way here. The Donphan had recovered as they continued their rolling process.

If that merges with the volcanic lightning, an amalgamation of disasters would be born and would surely level this area, the cave and the nearby tundra where Twilight, Fluttershy and Starlight were.

Rainbow Dash looked back to see that the lightning was catching up to her with large rocks of lava with lightning surrounding them were raining from above, also shooting lightning out. The lava rocks hit the ground, melting parts of it, leaving craters and even sparks of electricity too.

Rainbow noticed the cave, believing it to be a good place to hide from this blazing and sparking event. She quickly flew in with her Pokemon as a lightning bolt almost hit her hoof, but it had just missed.

"Woah!" Rainbow Dash came to a screeching halt by slowing down as she was safe for now in this cave. "Too close! Way too close!" The multi-coloured maned mare yelped as she took some time to breathe. "I know none of this stuff is real but...Sweet Celestia...!"

"Viary." Braviary placed his friends down, letting them have some space and time to relax as well.

"Taria..."

"Castform..."

"I didn't see that coming..." Rainbow Dash laid on the walls of the cave. "Lightning with magma? That's a thing?"

It certainly was. Among other obscure disasters that are so rare, they can be considered made-up works of fiction for children. But it is a real as it looks and its destructive capabilities are no joke.

At this very moment, it was gradually destroying the land with lightning and magma crashing down. At this rate, everything in this area will be hit. Including the cave.

Speaking of the cave, further deep in it...

"Applejack! Rarity!" Pinkie had found Applejack and Rarity, hugging them both. "How'd your disaster go?"

"It went well." Rarity replied. "A bit overwhelming for our first go, honestly. What about you, Pinkie? Have you gone through your disaster?"

"Nope." Pinkie shook her head aggressively. "Not yet. I heard the volcano erupt outside so Rainbow Dash's going through hers right now while I'm just down here."

"Hm. Well, there's only at least 7 minutes left, I believe." Rarity looked up. "Won't be long until this test run is over. Let's see what else we-"

As Rarity took a step forward, a lightning bolt broke through the cave, almost smiting Rarity as it landed right in front of her, making a horrible noise and leaving a hole in the ground.

"Oh!" Rarity gasped as she jumped back, landing in Pheromosa's arms. More lightning broke through the cave, leaving holes in the top and bottom of it.

It was a clear sign that the next disaster had caught up to the nearest group as even some of the magma came through. Two lava rocks fell through the cave, crashing down as the lava was starting to spread across the ground with lightning sparking out.

"Why does it have lightning?!" Applejack's eyes widened as she and her friends backed away.

"It's like lava lightning or something like that!" Pinkie was both amazed and scared.

"Who cares what it is?!" Rarity screeched. "Run!"

But as soon as they tried to make a run for it, another lava rock broke through behind them, spreading lava from both sides as well. And the cave was fairly narrow so the lava was able to easily close the corners and gap.

"Or not..." Rarity whimpered as she and her friends stood back to back. "This is fake lava obviously but...any ideas on how to deal with this?"

"Hmmm...Oh!" A lightbulb appeared above Pinkie Pie's head. "I know! Spinda! It's your time to shine!"

"Spin?"

"Use Metronome!"

"Da!" Nodding in understanding, the Spot Panda Pokemon raised her arm back and forth as her body glowed white, going through a plethora of moves to choose from randomly.

"Hurry up..." Applejack gulped as the lightning kept breaking through the cave with the lava slowly approaching them.

"Da...Spinda!" Spinda had found a move as her body flashed. But would it be a move that benefits them or just makes the situation worse?

Everyone paused, waiting for the move result. It took about 2 seconds, but the move was arriving. But not in front of Spinda. Not from her mouth, eyes or hands. Instead, it was coming from above.

The move Metronome had chosen was Draco Meteor as multiple orange rocks with a light-orange glow in the centre and a white and light-orange aura surrounding the rocks came crashing down. And they were surprisingly huge for a move generated by a small Pokemon. This just worsened the situation as Draco Meteor was now a part of the volcanic lightning.

"Draco Meteor?!" Applejack and Rarity gasped.

"Ooh! You got a powerful move on the first go! Nice work!" Pinkie hugged her partner.

"Spinda!"

"Uh...That's actually real and gonna hurt us!" Applejack pulled her mane. "What do we do?!"

Before thinking of a way to actually get out of here since Draco Meteor can affect them unlike this simulated lava, the Draco Meteor actually somewhat assisted them.

The large draconic rocks hit the lava, stopping its flow. Another came through, leaving larger holes and stopping the lava flow from behind. As more came through, they landed down in a somewhat straight line, albeit a bit curved. But that straight line of meteors was a great benefit and could be taken advantage of.

"...Okay that seems effective." Rarity nodded as she and her friends understood what to do now that there was a path of meteors in front of them.

As they all nodded in agreement, each of them started to jump onto the meteors, using them as a means to avoid the lava beneath them, even though it had stopped flowing.

As they walked on the meteors, lightning and magma kept breaking through behind them, prompting the group to get a move on. From the direction they were headed in, they might reach the entrance of the cave.

And speaking of the entrance, Rainbow Dash, who was the closest to it, was currently avoiding the volcanic lightning from hitting her by flying about. So far, she was doing a great job, but it didn't seem like it would unless something was done.

"Can't keep avoiding it forever. Gotta do something..." She began thinking of an idea. By looking near the entrance, she could spot a bit of the volcano from the outside and how the lava was leaking out and also catching up to her.

Lava had already reached the cave. Both near and far from Rainbow Dash. If she were to fly outside, the lightning would deal with her. So she was essentially stuck on all sides at this point, which isn't something Rainbow Dash is too fond of since she loves having some sort of field advantage, mostly in the sky.

That's when she came up with an idea that was arguably worse than Draco Meteor and might not help the situation whatsoever.

"I got it! Braviary! Superpower on the ground! Go!"

"Brav?!" Braviary himself was surprised to hear such a command. But, if his trainer had a hunch, then he put his trust and faith into her.

Braviary's talons became surrounded in an orange aura, flowing with hyperactive energy, possibly greater than anything here. He then struck his talons on the ground by doing a sort of dropkick to it. And once he did, that's when everything fell on its face.

The sheer might of Braviary's Superpower was so grand and devastating that not only did it shatter the ground beneath him and his friends, causing the lava to be pushed back, but it also spread across the entire area and beyond. The whole cave was coming apart in less than seconds.

But it wasn't just that. As the shockwave reached the outside the volcano had been hit by Superpower. And the results were very unpleasant. As the volcano had a shockwave go through it, it had shattered into tiny pieces with the remaining magma inside bursting out.

"W-What now?!" Rarity gasped as she saw everything coming apart around her and her friends.

"An earthquake?!" Applejack said as Sceptile picked her up.

But it was something far worse and much powerful. So powerful that it even reached the tundra that Twilight's group was in, causing shockwaves to erupt there as well. And very soon, many other environments wouldn't be safe from Braviary's Superpower. The Donphan disaster was even put to an end because of Superpower knocking them all off balance.

But, in truth, the Superpower tremor actually performed the impossible, besides shattering the volcano. The sheer impact of it was so widespread that the simulation room was glitching out and breaking apart as seen by the constant flashing, showing the wireframe then back to the simulated environments and then the wireframe once more.

The room couldn't handle this much power. It was unable to register the sheer magnitude and might of Braviary's Superpower. As such, every environment was flashing repeatedly as everypony was confused as to what was happening. This was definitely not apart of the simulation.

"Oops." It took a moment for Rainbow Dash to realize what she had done. But it was too late to stop it as the simulation had been disrupted, bringing everything to an end.

The teachers and workers here closed their eyes as a flash of light emerged from the simulation finally breaking down and coming to an end since it was blinding to the eyes.

And that was all she wrote.

Once that light cleared, everypony fell on their back, landing on the flat floor of the vast and wide white room along with their Pokemon. Thankfully, the fall wasn't too hard.

"Ough!" They all groaned.

"Urgh..." Rainbow Dash stood up. "My bad..."

"Well, that was certainly something..." Roxanne's eyes shifted around.

"Mhm..." Brawly nodded as he went over to the students. "Are you all okay?"

"We're fine..." Rarity sighed. "What happened back there? Did it malfunction?"

"Not really." The worker there scratched his head. "Seems like that Superpower from Braviary was stronger than expected. The whole simulation room may be new and fresh but that was freakishly strong."

"Braviary..."

"That was rockin'!" Roxie, on the other hand, enjoyed every last minute of it. "Every part of it!"

"But other than that, you all did well for a test run and your first time here," said Fantina. "Bien joué."

"Guess so..." Twilight helped Eve off the floor.

"Might have to tweak some things out." Another worker said. "So that way, no other Pokemon move can break the simulation."

"But it shows how strong we are, right pal?" Rainbow Dash nudged Braviary. "No disaster like a volcano is gonna stop us!"

"Braviary!"

The test run lesson in the Pokemon Training Facility was over as everyone was leaving the facility and heading back to the bus. A bit of an early end, but it is what it is.

On the bus, some of the ponies were a bit tired after going through their own respective disasters. Some easier than others or just plain difficult.

"You should've seen what we had to deal with. There was this sea of Spheal just clapping a lot out of nowhere." Starlight said as she was telling her friends about the Spheal disaster.

"Mhm." Twilight nodded. "They seemed so innocent but they caused one doozy of an avalanche."

"And harmed Audi's ears pretty badly. But they'll get better." Fluttershy pattered her partner on the back."

"Audino..."

"Maybe it's not the environmental disasters we have to watch out for but the Pokemon who cause them." Rarity deduced as all of her friends agreed.

They have a lot to say when they get back to the Pokemon School and Ponyville too. It certainly won't be the last time they visit the Pokemon Training Facility and they'll definitely be going through a different kind of test when they return here. One beyond disasters as the journey continues.
