It's been hours since they were kidnapped; they didn't know what exactly they should do and what they could do in the future. Actually, it was very unclear how they can even live there without water, gas, or electricity.
"We should eat what is in the fridge as soon as possible and pastries could last us for a few days, but I'm unsure what we can eat then without being about to cook," Aki said while looking around the kitchen with Amano and Cretacia, frowning, "and it's even less food considering there's six of us..."
Ryunanaka sighed, holding onto his needle tightly as he was sitting on the couch. "The five of you..." he mumbled loud even for the others to hear, "I don't feel like eating in this situation..."
"...Ryu..." Amano glanced at him worriedly.
"My stomach isn't made for situations like this either, Dr. Drake, but we all need to eat as long as we have something to," Aki told him.
"We could take turns with food," Spike suggested, sitting on the other couch, "though, that isn't our only problem. We can't run too long without water."
"You would think that they'd know what to provide us with if they want us to survive," Trias exclaimed, looking through the glass door. That's when he saw trouble coming. "Speaking of the devil..."
Gavro and Foolscap made their way towards the house.
Trias backed away from the door as Spike got ready to go against them despite knowing how it went the last time.
The two Space Pirates flew to the terrace and Foolscap who was in the lead bumped his face into the glass. "What the-?" He backed away, looking confusedly forward, not knowing what he flew into.
"What? Can't you fly straight?" Gavro mocked him with a grin on his face.
"Oh, shut up..." Foolscap groaned and continued flying, but hitting the door once again, imprinting his face on the crystal clear glass. "Oh, come on!"
"...I just cleaned that door a few days ago," Aki said sadly, seeing the glass getting stained.
"What is this?!" Foolscap snapped before charging against the invisible barrier again. This time, Gavro grabbed his fluffy collar, stopping him. "Huh?"
The big alien gently knocked on the glass. "We can't get through."
"Yeah, I figured..."
Being worried that they'd break the door if this continued any longer, Spike opened it for them. "You guys don't have glass where you're from?" he wondered.
"Glass?! This is not glass; glass is colorful, not pure," Foolscap objected, but seeing the faces of the parents, he sighed defeatedly, "you humans make your glass pure, don't you?"
"Yeah... Mainly..."
"You humans are weird..." the stick man groaned quietly, rubbing his head.
"Well, they do greet each other by fighting, so..." Gavro remembered.
"Um...that's not-whatever..." Trias stopped mid his attempt for an explanation.
Spike was about to ask the pirates what exactly do they want, but before he could an excited yell ran through the house.
"Eureka!" Cretacia screamed, holding a bag of salty chips above her head, "more food!"
"Of course, Max's secret stash," Aki gasped, "although, it is not much..."
"Something's better than nothing." The blonde grinned at her, but suddenly, a blueish blur snatched the bag from her hands and flew back next to his crewmate.
"HEY!"
Foolscap landed on his high heels with elegance and was about to open the bag.
"Fools, your magpie is showing," Gavro told him and added quietly while scratching, "whatever that means..."
"Oh, you give it back this instant!" Cretacia charged at the stick man. He thankfully managed to dodge by flying up and fleeing to the other part of the living room. Unfortunately for him, Cretacia chased after him. She launched herself from the couch and grabbed Foolscap's leg, trying to pull him down.
"Cretacia, no!" Trias told his wife.
"Cretacia, yes!" She tightened her grip on Foolscap's leg, pulling him to the floor.
"What the hell, woman?!" Fools snapped at her as they crashed to the ground.
"That's some of the only food we have!"
The slim man raised his eyebrows, but no one could see it due to his headband. He jumped to his feet, ripped the bag open with his claw, and reached for some chips. "Calm down, we'll give you guys some of our food once you run out of yours," he said, eating the chips. A surprised expression formed on his face. "It actually tastes...weird, but good!"
"Wait, what?" Amano got intrigued by what the pirate said.
"I've never tasted anything like this. It makes is a little thirsty," he explained.
"No, I meant you providing us with your food."
"Well, you cannot live without food or water, so we got orders to take care of you."
"That is... nice I guess..." Spike admitted confusedly.
"We might be bad guys, but we're not that cruel," Gavro exclaimed, "at least the two of us aren't."
"Yeah, the boss can be kind sometimes, but Sheer...that bitch would let you starve," Foolscap mumbled, "anyways, we'll connect you to our supplies, then get you some food."
"Are you sure that your food is suitable for us?" Ryu wondered, "I mean, just like some Earth animals can get poisoned by human food, yours can have effects on us."
"There are no negative effects on humans," Gavro replied, bumping his fists together.
"Yeah, and if you don't like our food, we can steal some from Earth." Foolscap shrugged.
The two of them headed outside and down.
"And they took the chips." Cretacia sat up on the floor and pouted, crossing her arms and legs.
"At least we don't have to worry about supplies anymore," Aki sighed in relief.
"Something doesn't add up," Trias murmured.
Ryunanaka nodded. "Yeah...How did they know if their food can affect us?"
"One of them has compared us to someone before, remember?" Amano pointed out.
"They might know another human... I see," Trias realized, "it might explain why they have dinosaurs, but at the same time, it doesn't explain anything."
"They can time travel so it can be anyone. Maybe the Alpha Gang," Cretacia suggested and suddenly jumped up, "what if it's us? It's our evil selves from the future!"
"Even if that was somehow a case, which I doubt, they wouldn't need us here." Trias shook his head. "Whoever that is, they know enough about the cards..."
—
He had no idea how right he was and what surprise is waiting for them. There really was another human on board; the cause of their capture.
In a room full of different dinosaurs locked in strange cupola-cages, a man with red triangles on his face was typing something into a hexagon panel on a wall. Seth was alive and he was working with the Space Pirates; he was responsible for the parents' kidnapping.
He was taking care of the dinosaurs, checking their scans. He was focusing on his work when suddenly a deep hum filled the room. A shiver ran down his spine at that sound, but he stayed calm and continued working.
Out of nowhere, a green man teleported right behind him, singing to himself. Well, with how off-note it was, it can't even be called singing. It was Spectre, the boss of the Space Pirates. He tiptoed on his heeled boots over to Seth, falling onto his shoulder; his purple cape waving behind him.
The blue-haired man was nearly knocked to the floor by the alien's weight, but he managed to keep his balance.
"Oh, Seth, I knew that you're a blessing to me the moment I spotted you~ Thanks to you, we're a step closer to our goal. And those idiots thought you cannot be trusted."
"Would I lie to you?"
"Of course you wouldn't. You were right about the Ancients being able to help us, though having the other four is quite annoying already."
"They are important," Seth told him, earning a curious hum from the green Kai, "I've known Trias and Cretacia for years; unless you have an upper hand against them, they won't obey. Trias is a coward; he wouldn't make risky moves if it can endanger someone. Cretacia, on the other hand, is unpredictable; she's the more likely one to rebel. They can't know what you're capable of unless you show them. If they refuse to work at one point, maybe hurting or completely removing one of the four could make them cooperate."
Spectre chuckled wickedly. "I like that idea. You are just a perfect evil villain, Seth~"
The smaller man flushed red as the alien nuzzled his shoulder. The room was filled with Spectre's low humming.
Then a different sound was heard in there, someone behind them clearing their throat. "Am I interrupting something?" a female voice asked them.
"Oh, thank God..." Seth mumbled under his breath.
Spectre glared at Sheer who was standing in the doorway with her arms crossed. "Yes, you are. What are you even doing here? You're supposed to be at the house!"
"There's no way I'm spending more time than I have to with those two imbeciles. So, I thought I'd use that time to clean the dino cages since it's my turn and I know how much you hate when we do nothing," she explained herself.
"Not now. Do anything else, but not here and not now," Spectre growled angrily.
Sheer smirked and shrugged. "Okay then; your orders, boss." She turned around on her heel and walked away.
Seth frowned and screamed internally for Sheer to come back so he isn't left alone with Spectre.
—
Back in the house, the parents were given all the needed supplies, and they later had a meal. It was the first good thing since the kidnapping. It only made them slightly calmer; they strangely started to get used to the situation after just a few hours.
It was getting late or at least it felt like it was late and the clocks in the house showed that; time didn't actually pass in the time warp.
They were all tired at this point.
"Someone should stay on guard while everyone else gets some rest," Trias suggested.
"I'll do that," Spike immediately offered, "you all need some sleep. We can take turns by nights."
The thought of anyone staying up by themselves, being left to deal with the pirates alone to protect the others, pressured Aki's chest all of a sudden; it was one of those moments of realizing what situation they're actually in.
She took Spike's hand, stopping hers from shaking. "I'll stay up with you," she said softly, but determinately.
"No! No way," he blurted worriedly, glancing at her with a pure shock in his eyes.
"Why not?"
"Because it can be dangerous and you need to sleep, just take a break from it all."
"Falling asleep won't make this disappear," she told him, shaking her head slowly.
"Aki..." Now it was actually his hand that was shaking; she gave it a gentle reassuring squeeze.
"Please...let me help." Her eyes were quietly pleading his.
He sighed defeatedly. "I suppose I can't stop you..."
She smiled at him.
"Okay, so, who's going to sleep on the couches?" Cretacia asked, "We should all stay in one place to be safe."
"I think it should be you and Mrs. Drake," Trias replied.
Ryu nodded in agreement.
Amano frowned. "Ryu, it would make more sense for you-"
"I insist," he chuckled.
"Okay then..."
"We have some sleeping bags upstairs," Aki said.
And so they prepared everything and the Drakes and the Ancients soon fell asleep. Amano was curled up on one of the couches since she was too tall, Cretacia was spread on the other one, Ryunanaka was on the floor in a sleeping bag and hugging his needle, Trias was in the other sleeping bag and facing the ground as he was sleeping on his stomach.
The curtains were closed, making the downstairs dark, apart from of dim lamp on a table, despite the room the house was in was as bright as possible.
After sitting at the table quietly for some time, holding a whip and a frying pan respectively, Spike got up and headed to the kitchen while Aki stayed on the chair, doing her best not to fall asleep.
She was clenching onto the frying pan with the last bits of strength left.
Spike made two cups of coffee and carried them back, setting them onto the table. He noticed how peacefully his wife is sleeping; it was relieving to see her so calm after what they've been through. He wished to be able to make her more comfortable in this situation, but there was nothing he could do.
He touched her cheek gently, unintentionally waking her up.
Once her eyes shot open, she tightened the grip on the frying pan and quickly swang, hitting Spike in the face.
He groaned in pain, covering his face.
Aki gasped softly when she realized what happened. "Oh, Spike...I'm so sorry..." She dropped the frying pan—thankfully the bang as it hit the ground didn't wake the others up—and she cupped his cheeks.
"Don't worry about that," he mumbled, smiling at her, "it was just a reflex..." He removed the hand from his face, revealing how red it was.
"Dear..." Aki rushed to the kitchen to get a bag of ice—unbelievable that it was needed again in the same day. She got Spike to sit down and held the bag to his face.
He chuckled. "I really can't go a day without getting hurt."
Aki frowned at him.
"Sorry..." He grinned softly. "And I'm also sorry for waking you up, I didn't mean to..."
"I am on guard with you," she reminded him, "I should stay awake, so you don't have to feel bad for waking me up."
The grin disappeared from his face. "I know. You just seemed way happier when asleep; I didn't want to take that away from you." He reached to her, taking her hand gently.
"I had a wonderful dream, but that doesn't change what is happening...it doesn't change...how scared I am..." Aki whispered weakly.
Spike stroked her cheek with his other hand, gazing into her eyes. "I'm scared too," he told her, "more than you think."
She leaned into his touch, closing her eyes when she suddenly wrapped her arms around him.
"Aki..." He was taken by surprise but quickly reacted by stroking her hair and then by hugging her back. "We'll get out, I promise."
"I know...I trust you..."
"Even after I lied to you for so long?" he asked her concernedly.
She pulled away slightly to cup his cheeks and to look at him.
"It was all so wacky and unbelievable that I didn't want to bother you and freak you out and-" As Spike was tried to justify keeping the dinosaurs a secret, Aki only smiled.
"It doesn't matter to me, I still trust you."
He sighed and embraced her tighter than before, but still gently.
"I'll do my best to help," Aki whispered.
"You always do, love," Spike replied as he held his wife protectively in his arms.
They're going to get out one day; they have to get out. They have to...

I know it took me so long to do this chapter, I'm sorry, but this isn't my main story to focus on. I'll try my best to keep up with this story, but it just isn't in the first place for me, despite me enjoying it a bunch.
I really like mixing up characters due to their personalities and that's what the beginning of this chapter shows.
I really have nothing more to say here honestly, so I hope you enjoyed this chapter.
