Given how they are, I don't think Tech would like Shakk Tii very much. Warning: angsty Tech.
The Torugan Jedi walked through the halls of Topoca City. Her robes flowed around her feet. The Kaminoan beside her shows the various facilities of the city. She listened intently as a group of clones walked past. She notices the strangeness of the group as they take notice of her. She stops and asks her guide, "may I speak to them?"
He stops and looks back at them, "I see no harm in doing so."
The group stops and watches as she come up to them. The large one "whispers" in the skinny one's ear, "She's pretty! Do ya think she likes my muscles?"
"Pfftt, are you are is muscle." He says in a mocking tone.
"yeah, but do ya think she likes 'em?"
the skinny one rolls his eyes and says, "ask her yourself."
"do you like my muscles?" He asks loudly.
The long haired one winces and glares at him, "Wrecker, inside voice."
"sorry."
she laughs, causing the goggled one to look up from his data-pad. He blinks at her, mildly confused then returns to his device. Clearly he was quite used to his brother's antics.
She bows slightly, "I am Jedi Master Shakk Tii. Yes, your muscles are quite impressive, but how is that so? If I may ask."
The goggled one speaks without looking up, "we are an experimental unit with enhanced traits." he looks up and points at each in turn, "Mine is intellect, CT-9904's modification gives him improved eyesight and hand/eye coordination, Hunter's senses are enhanced in various ways, and Wrecker's is obvious."
She smiles and nods, "Impressive. I would be honored to watch your training session and see your traits in action."
Hunter nods, "you won't be disappointed, Ma'am."
"Very well, Thank you." She says as she walks away.
Wrecker nudges Tech, "did ya think she was pretty?"
"Technically yes. Beauty is entirely subjective and therefore not a very good measurement of..."
"Bah! It's a yes or no." Wrecker complains, "why do ya hafta complicate everything?"
"Because he can't not do it, it's in his nature." CT-9904 explains, teasingly.
Tech sighs and walks off, ignoring them.
Despite their first meeting three months ago, this was the first time she had a chance to watch one of their training sessions. Hunter noticed her watching and looked annoyed. CT-9904, now named Crosshair, spotted her and smiled mischievously. He points her out to Tech and Wrecker. Wrecker waved with a huge grin on his face. Tech glanced up at her but it seemed empty of emotion. She turns to their trainer, "Is Tech normally like this?"
He looks at the clone and shakes his head, "how would I know? I only started working with them two weeks ago. He's been kinda moody lately, so I'm taking this as a good thing."
they watch as the simulation starts. Wrecker plows through droids like they were cardboard. Hunter yelled orders while Crosshair climbs a tower. He aims to shoot droids that came near either of them. Hunter fussed at him for being too close and Wrecker complains, "I was gonna get that one!"
she watches as Tech walked through the field almost mechanically. Dodging bolts by tilting slightly. He fires off his DC-17s and seeming to hit his targets without looking at them. She watches in shock when he gets hit in the leg but continues walking, although with a limp. He makes it to the wall and fires off his grapple. He climbs up while clearly fighting the pain. Crosshair takes down the droids that were climbing up after him. He reaches the top and pulls out the pole, ending the program. He looks in her direction angrily and drops the pole on the ground below. Hunter jumps out of the way and shouts, "watch were you throw that thing, you almost hit me!"
Tech climbs back down and leaves the arena.
"Okay, so he might not be fine, but he got the highest score like this. I'm going to take it as a win." the trainer comments. He walks out, "you can try to fix him if you want."
She tracks Tech down to his room and knocks on the door. The door opens and he stares at her for a moment before letting her in. He sits behind his project and busies himself with it. "I take it you're here about my display earlier."
She nods, "Yes, do you wish to talk about what is bothering you?"
He breathes a deep sigh, "yes."
"you see, most people in this stage of life, even if it lasts much longer, tend to feel misunderstood. You are developing into an adult and trying to discover who you are as a person. You do not need to feel ashamed." She walks around and places a hand on his shoulder, "I too went through this stage as a teenager." She fears that she made a mistake when she feels his anger rising under her palm.
He brushes her hand off and stands to his full height. Towering over her, he looks down at her. "are all Jedi like you?"
She takes a step back, "like what?" She holds her hand close to her lightsaber, unsure of his next move.
"arrogant in the belief that they are always right?" He asks.
"no..."
He glares at her, "you asked if I wanted to talk about my issues, but you didn't ask what they were, you just assumed my feelings."
"I am sorry if I seemed presumptuous. Allow me to make it right."
He sighs and sits back down, "please do."
She sits beside him, "is this a recent development?"
"it is something that has built up over time as I was given access to more information. What do you know about the war?" He asks.
She thinks for a moment. "it is a terrible conflict that will hold many casualties before it is over. If we win, the Galaxy will be safe again."
"but why should we lay our lives down for a system we do not know anything about?"
"are you loyal to the republic?"
He growls, "not by choice. And that makes us no better than machines."
She grabs his arm gently, "you are hardly a machine. All will be made clear eventually."
he turns and stares her in the eye, "Someone paid for my existence, I serve a specific function, I have been programmed, and even if I survive, I will have no say in my own future. For all intents and purposes, I am a machine."
She lets go and stands up, "yet, you are human."
"and what makes me human, beyond genetics?"
"I am sorry you feel this way. But until you see for yourself what it means to be human, I cannot help you." She heads towards the door.
"thank you all the same."
"you're welcome." She walks out just before his teammates walk in.
Crosshair asks, "feeling better?"
"Better than expected given how it went." Tech says.
"did ya kiss her?" Wrecker asks.
"no. quite the opposite, my crush is now dead."
"awww... I owe Crosshair a new toy." Wrecker complains.
"are you betting on my love life?"
Crosshair smiles, "or lack thereof..."
Tech throws a wrench at him.
Okay, so... this didn't go exactly as expected cause I thought I was going to write a "get out! I never want to talk to you again!" type scene but ended up with more of him mildly disliking her but still getting some therapy.
