A bus stop in Midvale was completely vacant. It was a bit cool that time of day, but in such an open area, the sun's heat was still shining through the bus shelter. Clark looked across from the park to the sun's radiance and took the sights in. Clark saw the sun just like anyone else before his discovery. A warm ball of light that completed the sky. Though to Clark, it was just a sign of more of the mysteries that struck him that day. He was able to look directly into the center of the sun without strain.

The change of perspective came from the people around him as well. The kids that played in the park across the street seemed practically like strangers. Though Clark realized he was one himself to them. However he knew he was simply a stranger from another planet. Even with all the answers back at the shed yet to be found, Clark knew this remained a constant. He would always be alone in his life.

The bus still hadn't arrived, but one person nevertheless waited with Clark. Clark kept his distance from the stranger. Lest he prove a danger to her or himself. Though before scooting away to the edge of the bench, he recognized her. There were a few photographs in Jeremiah's house that had her in it. Eliza Danvers. She was the one that had made arrangements with his Ma to make the trip to Midvale.

Eliza noticed Clark looked towards her, "Are you waiting for the bus? It will take you back, but are you really ready to leave?" Eliza asked. "I just want some real answers from them." Clark admitted, "Jeremiah found out something that I just need to be alone to understand it." He continued, and Eliza listened, but then chuckled upon a realization.

"He overwhelmed you, didn't he?" Eliza figured. "He was eccentric, but it wasn't his fault. Everything involved was overwhelming from the beginning. I just never realized it until he told me." Clark explained, both to Eliza and himself.

"That you're an alien?" Eliza wondered. Clark was shocked that she knew. He ran away from Jeremiah's house on the hill an hour ago. "How did you know?"

"Jeremiah texted me. It's no worry Clark. I wasn't sent here by him. I actually dropped my daughter off here after her field trip." Eliza answered, "Alex. According to Martha, you were about her age when you started showing signs of your abilities." She pointed to the young child who was playing across from them in the park.

"Yeah, it was when I caught Pa when he fell in the barn." Clark didn't tell this story to anyone before because he couldn't. And the only other person who knew had died. He felt less stress about it here. Possibly because Midvale was so far removed from his problems back in Smallville. Besides, just like Vell, Eliza had a daughter to raise.

"These abilities. They were brought out from yourself to save the people you love. Whether you are from this planet or not, that makes you very human." Eliza guided. Clark listened to her, but lingered on one thing. "I'm not sure if I truly can continue being that kid anymore. Especially if I continue learning about what this all means."

"Well one thing that stays the same whether you are from another planet or just a Kansas farm boy. You are still a kid no matter what. One with parents that need you, and you need them." Eliza explained.

Clark was stuck pondering this for a while. He did still love them despite this secret, but he did need the truth. He needed to get back to Smallville for it. "I'm glad you were here Eliza," Clark told her gratefully. "Though I still need to get home. There's something I need to see for myself and I'd appreciate it if you kept it from my parents." Clark asked earnestly.

Eliza nodded and was about to leave, but then parted Clark with one last piece of advice.

"Your life will keep on changing. Beyond just this. Your family being there might just take you through it Clark. I'll keep your secret, but give your answers and your questions. You owe that just as much as they do."

The journey back was filled with anticipation. Clark wanted to open it. To just go into the shed and rip open the tarp atop that light. However he waited simply for one thing. For the truck's door to open. Clark sped forward. While not in a controlled manner, he knew the farm well enough to not lose sight and fall. However, his drag on the ground was noticed by the Kents themselves from both the house and inside the truck where Jonathan was left behind.

"What happened?" Martha called out to Jonathan as she exited the house.

"He knows, Martha. He knows now." Jonathan admitted when meeting her at the front porch.

Inside the shed, Clark saw that the items inside remained untouched since he left to help Vell. He remembered how he was about to lift the tarp, and find out what shone the light underneath.

The glow blinded even him as his eyes strained in looking at what was beyond it.
