So, just how will Bayley, Becky, and Sami deal with the sudden disappearance of Rosey Paws? Read on to find out, and I hope you all enjoy. =)
"I don't understand. How could Rosey Paws have just vanished into thin air?" Becky asked, feeling fairly confused by this turn of events.
"I don't know," Bayley said, trying not to panic. "All I do know is that my dad and my uncles are gonna be sooo mad when they get in here and find out that I brought home a random cat. Oh, I am gonna be so grounded!"
"Bayley, just calm down," Sami said in a bid to try to calm Bayley down. Seeing that the brunette seemed a bit calmer, Sami said "Now, Bayley, I know this all seems bad, but don't worry."
"And just how do you expect me to do that? In case you haven't heard a word I've said, my dad and my uncles are not going to be thrilled when they find out I brought home a stray cat. How would I even explain that to them?" Bayley asked, her worry climbing.
"Simple. When your dad and uncles get in here, just say 'Dad, please don't get mad at me, but I brought home a stray cat that followed me around a lot today.' I'm sure they'll understand. And, who knows? Maybe they'll let you keep Rosey Paws," Sami suggested.
Hearing all of what Sami said, Bayley slowly came to a realization that Sami was right in a way. "...Huh. You're right, Sami. I guess I could just tell them about Rosey Paws. And, who knows? Maybe they'll let me keep her as a pet."
"That's the spirit," Becky smiled. "And don't worry. Me and Sami are for you with this."
"Thanks, Becky," Bayley smiled as she hugged her friends just as Seth, Roman, Dean, and Sasha came inside. Pulling away, Bayley said "Hey, Dad. Hey, Uncle Dean, Uncle Roman, Sasha. You guys are back kinda early."
"Yeah, well ...we weren't exactly able to finish what we had to take care of," Seth said.
"Aww. Well, there's always next time," Bayley said.
"Yeah, you're right," Seth nodded as he took off his coat. "So, how have things been here for you today, Bayley?"
"Things have been pretty mellow here. I went out and did a bit of grocery shopping earlier," Bayley said.
"That's good. I'll go see what you got and figure out what to make for dinner," Seth said.
"O-OK," Bayley said, a slightly nervous smile starting to cross her face.
With Seth having walked into the kitchen, and Dean and Roman having walked over to the living room area, Sasha was left standing with Bayley and her friends. Sensing that Bayley seemed a bit tense, Sasha asked "Bayley? Is everything okay?
"Huh? Oh, yeah, sure, everything's a-okay fine," Bayley got out in a bit of a rush. "Why do you ask?"
'Something definitely isn't right with Bayley. The same can be said for her friends,' Sasha thought, her forehead wrinkling in thought. Looking over to Seth, Sasha said "Seth. I'm going to step outside with Bayley and her friends for a minute."
"OK, don't wander too far from the house," Seth said, his focus more on what he was going to prepare for dinner.
"We won't," Sasha replied. Gesturing for Bayley, Becky, and Sami to come with her, Sasha led the trio outside after the others grabbed their coats. Once they were outside, Sasha began "OK, Bayley. We're away from Seth and the others. Now, why don't you tell what's-"
"I think I did something bad!" Bayley blurted.
Caught by surprise by this, Sasha asked "What do you mean, Bayley? What do you mean you think did something bad?"
Seeing the panic on Bayley's face, Becky stepped in for the ponytailed brunette. "What Bayley is trying to say is that she found and brought home a stray cat today while she was out. And she was going to tell her dad, her uncles, and you about the cat until it somehow just disappeared."
"Which is weird since it was right beside Bayley on the couch we were sitting on," Sami brought up. "And now, we can't find it."
Hearing the teenagers out and seeing the look on Bayley's face, Sasha said "Well, this certainly does sound like quite the sticky situation you three are in. And, I think there's only one way to fix it."
"And how's that?" Bayley asked, as she twirled a strand of hair around her fingers.
"You'll have to tell Seth, Roman, and Dean," Sasha said. "And at the very least, they'll probably be able to help you find this stray cat."
"Yeah, I ...I guess you're right," Bayley nodded. Letting out a breath, Bayley said "OK. I think I can do this."
"It'll be okay, Bayley. Don't worry. I'm sure the others will understand once you explain everything to them about the cat," Sasha assured.
"Yeah. I just hope you're right about that," Bayley said. Taking a breath in and letting it out, Bayley said "OK, I'm as ready as I can be. Let's go do this."
"That's the spirit," Sasha smiled a small smile. Turning to head back inside with Bayley, Becky, and Sami following her, the pink-haired Gem stepped inside.
Once she was back inside, Bayley cleared her throat. "Um, Uncle Seth, Uncle Dean. I, uh, I have something kinda important I need to tell you all."
Turning his gaze from the TV, Dean said "Sure, Bayley. What's up?"
With Dean and Seth now looking at her, Bayley swallowed around a bit of a lump in her throat before saying "Umm. You know how I said I did some shopping? Well, I left out that something else happened while I was out."
"What? What else happened? You didn't get hurt in any way, did you?" Seth asked as he quickly dashed over to Bayley to male sure she was okay, which he saw that she was.
"Yeah, yeah, I'm okay, Uncle Seth. It's just, ...well, while I was out earlier, I saw a cat outside of the convenience store and it-I mean, she-followed me inside and back out after I left. So, ...I decided-"
But, before Bayley could finish what she was saying, a loud crashing sound could be heard coming from the back of the house followed by what sounded like a low hissing noise.
Uh-oh! Looks like something's creeping through the house! This doesn't sound good. But, what could it be? Well, that shall be revealed ...next chapter. So, until then, don't forget to R&R please. =)
