So, after Dean suggests that Sasha go to school so that she can learn a bit about the crazy new world she finds herself in, how will her asking the others about doing so go? Read on to find out, my dolls. =)

(Quick note: I haven't exactly been mentioning it outright, but Sasha's size and height is that of Bayley's, so hopefully, this clears up any confusion anyone may have had going forward.)

Sitting in one of the chairs in the living room the next day, Sasha twirled her thumbs in anticipation. She wasn't exactly sure how things would go after she told Roman and Seth that she wanted to go to school, so it surprised her greatly what the other Gems had to say.

The Previous Day

"And, I know it may not be possible, but I'd really like the chance to go to school. This may be one of the best chances I have to learn a bit about how the world is now," Sasha finished explaining.

"I don't know, Sasha," Seth began. "What if we may need your help during the day in case there's a Gem beast attack?"

"Now, Seth, I don't think that's something we'll have to worry about much. It seems like there haven't been many Gem beast attacks or sightings lately, so I don't see any problem with it," Dean pointed out. "And if there does end up being an attack, I'm sure me, you, Ro, and Rosey Paws'll be able to take it down."

"I still don't know. What do you think, Roman?" Seth turned to the brunette Gem.

Sitting as he listened to both sides, the brunette thought things over before he finally said "Yes."

"Really? You'd be okay with Sasha going to school, too?" Seth asked, surprised to hear this.

"Yes, Seth," Roman began. "After all, like Sasha pointed out, she hasn't exactly been around to have the chance to learn much over the past many years. The least we could do is give her the chance to learn some things and interact with other humans."

"Well, I guess when you put it that way…."

Present Day

Now here she sat in wait of the news Roman would have when he got back home. She wasn't one to feel nervous about anything, ...but for some reason, she couldn't help the feeling of unease that was building within her. 'It's probably just stemming from my anxiousness about going to school. That has to be it.'

Taking note of how she was twirling her thumbs, Seth let out a soft chuckle before saying "Calm down, Sasha. I'm sure Roman's talk with the officials at Bayley's school will go well."

"How can you be so sure about that, Seth?" the magenta-haired Gem asked.

"Well, just to give you some reassurance, Roman was the one that helped with getting Bayley enrolled in school. So, I'm sure he'll have that same luck with getting you enrolled."

"I hope so, Seth," Sasha managed to say as she went back to her wait. 'Seth's right. All I can do now is wait for Roman to come back with the news of ...whatever it is that the authority figures at school tell him.'

"OK. And with this last bit of paperwork, your niece will officially be a student here at Emerald Pines Middle School," Stephanie said as she handed over the last of the forms needed for student enrollment.

Taking the paper as he read it over, Roman said "I'd just like to say Thanks again so much for this, Stephanie. My niece has been homeschooled for the same amount of time Bayley has, so I'm guessing after hearing what she's had to say about school has her curious enough to want to give it a try herself."

"It's no problem at all. From what her teachers tell me, Bayley's been doing pretty well in their classes, so I'm sure her cousin will do just as well," Stephanie smiled.

"I can only hope," Roman said as he signed the form. Handing the paper back to the principal, the pair talked a bit more until the brunette Gem excused himself, seeing as how Stephanie had another meeting to attend soon. Making his way out of the school building and back home, the brunette Gem couldn't help the smile that started to tug at the corners of his mouth. 'Sasha's going to be so excited to hear this.' Reaching the house after his walk uphill, the brunette Gem opened the door as he said "Guys, I'm back."

Hearing the brunette's voice, Sasha's gaze snapped in his direction before she got up and went to join Roman at the door. "So? How did it all go?"

"Well, after a bit of paperwork, I can safely say that you are now officially a student at Emerald Pines Middle School and will be able to attend the day after tomorrow," Roman smiled as he looked down at the magenta-haired Gem.

"Really? I-I get to go to school?" Sasha asked in surprise. Seeing the taller Gem nod, she couldn't help the oddly excited cheer that came from her as she went about thanking Roman many times and, in a move that surprised the Gems, gave the taller Gem a hug. Realizing what she just did, Sasha pulled away before saying "I'm so sorry about that, Roman. I-I don't know what just came over me."

A chuckle rumbling in his chest as he watched Roman rest a hand on Sasha's head, Seth said "It's no big deal, Sasha. Bayley tends to do the same thing when she gets excited about something, so it's nothing to apologize about."

A light laugh escaping her as she tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, Sasha tried her best to hold back her building excitement. It was happening. She was going to get the chance to go to school and finally learn a bit about the world she now found herself in. All she had to do was wait another day until her education would begin.

Looks like Sasha gets her wish and will get the chance to go to school, something that she's so excited about that it leads to her doing a few surprising (for her, at least) things. Now, all she has to do is wait a bit longer and she'll get her chance to give going to school a try. Just what awaits Sasha on her first day of school? That shall be revealed...next chapter (which hopefully won't take me as long to have up...*apologizes many times for my lateness with this chapter*). Until then, don't forget to R&R please (and stay safe, healthy, and cool out there). =)
