*when you have to re-read the whole story because you forgot the plot line* lol

The rain is pelting down around us, his eyes gleam with a rage of adrenaline and fury. I can almost see his chest visibly shake from anger, the rain has slightly eased off but droplets of water cling to his hair every now they dropping off and roll onto his face.

"Four?" I repeat again, in disbelief. His eyes focus again shaking him out of anger.

He looks down at the ground in silence, slightly ashamed at his outburst of emotion. He takes a moment to calm himself down. Kicking something on the pavement.

I hadn't realised how tight he held my forearms but they had begun to sting from his grip. I absent-mindedly rubbed them.

Standing in front of me dressed in all grey was Four, but what is he doing here at my high school? Why is he in 'stiff' clothing? Oh, it all began to make sense, he never raised attention to himself and when he got the chance, he would rather be alone. He was quick to help me without even stopping to think about it. Why had I never seen it before? Four was a stiff.

More importantly I'd never seen him at school before… he was that stiff. The one my dad told me to look out for, the one who's phone I had found with Uriah, with the threatening texts. Four is Tobias Eaton.

"We need to talk" he sighed. An understatement to say the least.

"Amusement Park?" I offered, to which he smiled. He begun to walk down the street motioning for me to follow.

The tension was palpable, there was so much new information, so much we needed to say.

"Must have felt nice getting Eric right in the face like that" I said trying to lighten the mood as we walked.

"It's something I've done plenty of times before, but never in.." he trailed off.

"These clothes?" I finished motioning to his monotone outfit "It's easier to hide, pretend to be what our parents expect us to be, then be who we want to be". He nodded slightly in agreement.

"Beatrice or should I say Six? We're more alike than I thought" He joked. I didn't expect to love hearing anyone say my birth name, but then again, I hadn't heard Four say it before. Trust me when I tell you I loved it.

"Oh, come on! You knew way before I knew about you Four! Or should I say Tobias?" I quipped back.

His visibly tensed at the sound of his name and quickly changed the subject "Why did you start a fight with Eric?" He questioned.

"I did not start it!... all I did was kick Peter in the rib cage. I mean he left it wide open, practically begging for me to kick it" Four laughed. "I honestly thought I would get a few jabs in hurt his confidence and no one would believe that little Beatrice Prior had the capacity to hurt a fly"

He laughed again "Tris when you're angry or up against the wall, you have the capacity to take down nations" He paused and looked into my eyes with awe. "Fear doesn't shut you down, it wakes you up" It was the weirdest complement I had ever received but my heart bloomed with his words. Four made me feel strong and powerful, it was a nice change. "But" he continued "we're going to need a few more training sessions before you can land a hit on Eric".

I laughed "We should get training then".

He stopped suddenly and turned to me. "But please, when you see an opportunity…" He took a low breath in. Looked straight into my eyes with an almost predatory glare. "Ruin them"

I laugh shakily. The breath knocked out of my lungs "You're a little scary Four."

We arrived at the park. Four helped me get through the hole in the fence. But chose to climb it instead. He reached his arms up to the fence easily swinging his body over the top. It almost looked to easy when he jumped from the top, effortlessly.

"Show off" I mutter loud enough for him to hear. I don't look up at him but I can see his expression in my mind, the corners of his mouth slightly lifting up to laugh.

We walk around for a second in silence, it looks like there are no security guards on day shift.

"What were you doing here that night?" I said, referring to the night we met.

"Escaping" He responded. "I'm guessing you were doing the same".

"And then we found each other, it's kind of poetic you know" I said.

We walked into the heart of the park, towards the wheel. I look up at it. I remember the empowering feeling I felt that night. I think It was the first time in my life I felt adrenaline. Staring up at it I get the craziest idea. I look up to the carriage I climbed to, I'm stronger now, I think I'll be able to make it to the top.

I speed up my walk and break away from Four. I walk right up to the Ferris Wheel.

"Tris?" Four asks tentatively.

"Come on" I motion for him to follow.

I grab onto the rungs, pulling myself up the way I did a few months ago.

"You're really doing this again?" He asks with a bit of humour to his voice.

"Yes" I say looking over my shoulder to face him. "And this time you're coming with me".

He smiles back at me. He follows up after me, he climbs faster then I do and soon his hands find the rungs that my feet leave. We climb higher and higher. The height is slightly dizzying but I am alive. My muscles burn with energy, every organ and vessel is flooded with fire.

Then I realise what it is, its him. Something about him makes me feel like I am about to fall. Or turn to liquid. Or burst into flames.

"Just how far do you want to climb?" Four says through a bursting breath.

I stop and look down at him. His knuckles are almost white from clenching the rung. He is breathing loud and fast.

"Are you alright, Four?" I question.

"Are you human, Tris?" He questions back "Being up this high…" he gulps for air. "It doesn't scare you at all?".

I look down to assess our progress. We have surpassed the height I climbed to last time. If I was to fall, I would surely die. But I didn't think I would fall.

I reach for another rung with my left hand but my hand slips. I gasp and cling to the rung in my right hand. My body weight shifts over to the right. Four's cold hand grasps around one of my hips to steady me. His fingers find as slip of bare skin just under the hem of my T-shirt. His fingers are slim and send tingles up the side of my back. His touch is different from when we are sparing in the gym. It's gentle. He gives me a squeeze and guides my body back to the left.

Now I can't breathe. I pause for a beat, stare at my hands and try to catch my breath. His hand is no longer on my back but my side still burns with his touch.

"You alright?" He asks quietly.

"Yes" I say slightly strained.

We continue to climb in silence neither one of us acknowledging the moment.

"Are we really going to the top?" Four asks between breaths.

I look down at him "You're afraid of heights?" I comment.

"How are you not?" He quips back.

"How do you deal in the pit? That place is mostly dangerous rails and poorly designed edges."

"I ignore my fear" he says. "Pretend it doesn't exist when I make decisions."

"Is that what you were doing when you followed after me?" I ask.

"I had more than one reason to climb up" he says quietly.

We reach the highest carriage; the door is busted on this one. I limply hang off the side allowing an opening big enough for us to swing into. I take a deep breath in. I shuffle myself around the metal pole to give myself the best footing to swing myself towards the opening. Just like jumping off the train, I think before launching myself from the metal pole into the carriage. It shifts with a loud creak when I land. But doesn't fall from the sky, which is a positive.

"Who's showing off now" Four scoffs, but I can hear the fear in his voice. He shuffles around the metal railing and looks at the carriage. I can see him visibly gulp. He locks eyes with me. His gaze is intense and unwavering. Him swings himself over not once looking away.

The carriage gives another groan when he lands, swaying slightly to the side. I stumble forward into him. For a second, we don't move. He is close enough to touch. His eye's still not leaving mine. We breath the same heavy air. I have been in his arm before when we shamelessly flirted, and pinned down 100 times, when we sparred. But I have never felt this close to him. He is vulnerable, afraid, dressed all in grey and still soaking wet.

His phone chimes within his pocket. His eyes darken. They drop from mine to the ground. He starts to breathe heavily, like he just remembered how high up we were. He looks from wall to wall, scared. It's almost as if he expects them to come crashing together. Confining him in a small box. His posture sags. He looks years older; he looks years younger.

"Your phone" I say to distract his attention before just what I had said. His phone had texts from an unmarked number. I remember years ago hearing rumours about Marcus Eaton. Bad rumours, that he abused his son. I remember my dad getting worked up at the dinner table. He was angry that people wanted to tarnish Marcus' good name. It was the only time I had seen my dad really angry. That night was burnt into my brain. I can't believe I didn't realise it earlier.

Looking at Four now all I had was anger in my eyes. "It's true" I muttered.

He looked up at me suddenly.

"Four" I say almost silently.

"Call me by my name." He says. "It would be nice to hear it."

"Tobias" I say with a silly little smile. I close the space between us. He is so much bigger than me its that I rest my head just over his heart. I can feel it furiously beat under my ear. "You're incredible" I say.

For a second, he is stiff beneath my touch with his hands like poles by his sides. Slowly he moves them to wrap around my back. He squeezes me close.

He leans back but keeps his hand firmly laced behind my back. He looks down at me. "You aren't looking at me like I'm a kicked puppy."

"Well… you're not"

"Since we are getting everything out in the open, I'm also afraid of confined spaces" He awkwardly laughed.

I look at him sincerely. "Did you really just follow me, while I crazily climbed a Ferris wheel into two of your biggest fears?" I asked in disbelief.

His eyes softened "Honestly, I think I would follow you anywhere." His dark eyes are on mine. He tightens his grip on me and leans in brushing my lips with his.
