ROSE'S POV
I woke up gasping. It was the same dream, haunting me ever since. Just when I thought I'm going to have a good night's sleep, it ends with this horrible dream.
A horrible headache has already risen in my head and I could feel my stomach is ready to explode. Bloody Period! I went to the bathroom and did my business before taking a warm shower. Since I'm not going to uni today, I can die in pyjamas surrounding my heavenly bed. As I came out of my walking wardrobe, I hit my leg on my suitcase.
FUCK! Can it be any worse?
It has been nearly a week since I came here but I still haven't arranged anything according to my way. I have to do it today.
As I exited my room first thing I noticed was a mouthwatering aroma.
Ha! Time for breakfast.
I went to the kitchen to find no one except maids. I looked around completely confused. Is it still early? I checked my phone, but it was 7.30. Uncle Pavel told me that breakfast usually starts at 7.00
"Miss Rose?" I looked at a maid who was smiling at me. She is pretty young, I guess around 17.
"Yes?" She smiled more.
"Good morning Miss Rose, if you're searching for others, they usually take breakfast in the big dining hall, together," She told.
"Oh okay thank you, darling! If you don't mind can you please escort me there? I'm not still used here," I asked her. She nodded.
"You look young..." I told.
"Leah, Miss Rose," I smiled.
"Leah, please cut the Miss part. How old are you?" I asked her.
"16," My eyes widened and I stopped walking.
What the hell is she doing here? In our mafia children, innocent children are never hurt by anyone. They don't deserve the harshness of this world. It was a rule that a single underage will not work here. All must be 18 and above unless they are training. Even then they come first not us. We don't push them to train. It's their will.
So what the hell is she doing here, when she should be in school? It's freaking MONDAY!
"Why aren't you at school?" I asked her my voice dropping an octave.
"How did you become a maid here?" I asked her furthermore.
"Oh Miss, I mean Rose. It's not anything like that. My mother is the head maid here and I do go to school. It's just a holiday. And I'm not a regular maid. This is like my part-time job," I nodded understanding and started walking again
"Still, you should find a different part-time job. This is not... safe," I told her.
"I'm working in the kitchen and garden. I'm not working anywhere else, I'm not allowed." I nodded.
"Here, this is it. It was nice meeting you Rose," I smiled.
"Thank you," I told before opening the door and going inside.
"Here, this is it. It was nice meeting you Rose," I smiled.
"Thank you," I told before opening the door and going inside.
When I went inside the first thing I noticed was that this room is huge! Like HUGE! I bet this is the biggest room in this mansion. There were three looooooong tables surrounded by our men. There were lesser people than last time I think like 150. Probably others went to the next mansion and also I guess some of them are working early shifts. Also, there were maids too. They all stopped whatever all their talking, about as I entered. I smiled.
"Good morning!" I told and I guess all of them snapped out of their thoughts.
"Miss Rose, please come in," Andrew, one of my most trusted told. He's like 10 years younger than my father, a sniper soldier but a huge cuddly bear. I smiled. I saw my father and Dimitri along with Uncle Pavel, Ivan, Mason, and Peter sitting in the front of the table. They smiled seeing me and I smiled back. Andrew escorted me to them and pulled the chair for me to sit down beside my father in front of Dimitri.
"Good morning," I told. They greeted me the same.
"How's so far?" My father asked. I shook my head closing my eyes. I heard chuckling.
"That bad?" He asked. I nodded examining the food in front of me. I'm starving to death.
"The worst headache I've ever had except the ones I get after hangovers," I told before getting up and going to the small counter which held the plates and mugs.
Did I mention there's a small counter?
I took a clean mug and a plate before coming back to make my coffee.
"And I'm starving," I told sighing.
"Do you want me to prepare your coffee, Miss Rose?" I jumped at the voice that came behind me before taking a deep breath. Mason and Ivan laughed and others chuckled even men. I looked behind me to find a middle-aged woman smiling. I stood up.
"No need Mrs,"
"Alberta, I'm the head maid here." I smiled.
"Alberta, please call me Rose, and it's very nice to meet you," I told her giving her a small hug.
"Of course my dear. And it won't be a problem," She told gesturing to the coffee.
"No, thanks, when I drink coffee, I like to make it by myself," I told her she smiled.
I started serving breakfast to myself. It's hot, so by the time I finish making my coffee, it'll be at the right temperature.
"So Rose, it has been like 3 years. How was the life outside?" I looked at Kevin.
"Amazing, so far. Friends, university, food, everything has been so exciting," I told.
"You aren't involved with any guys huh? I hope you're not," I chuckled at Uncle Pavel's words.
"I have male friends, and I dated too," I heard groans from so many and suspicious eyes from my father.
"Speaking of friends, as we discussed your friends might be aimed by Robert later, so to give them protection, we need to know about them," My father told. I nodded.
" After breakfast," I told him. After that, we ate our breakfast. I usually don't like to speak while having breakfast.
...
After breakfast in the study room.
"So who are they?" My father asked sitting down. It's just me, him, and Dimitri.
"Lissa, Mia, Jill, Christian, Ray, and Mark. Lissa is my best friend but we all are like family," I told examining books on the shelves. I must admit he has a good collection.
"Give me their details later on," He told and I nodded.
"Are they all in the same Uni?" I heard Dimitri asking.
"Yup, that's how we met. I met Lissa first and she introduced me to the girls. Jill is her cousin and Mia has been friends with them since childhood. Lissa and Jill, their families are quite famous, you might have heard about them. 'Dragomir family'," I told looking at them.
"Dragomir? Blonde hair Dragomir?" I chuckle at Dimitri's question.
"Yes, blonde hair Dragomir," I answered.
"Blonde hair?" My father asked looking confused.
"Their family, they share blonde hair. Only Jill's mother has dark hair along with Jill's brother. It's pretty funny considering that every other male and female has blonde hair," I told him.
"Christian and Ray are twins. I got to know Christian from literature so after that all of us are together," I told furthermore.
"Are you going back tomorrow?" Dimitri asked.
"Yes, I am. I missed so much already more, I can't anymore," I told.
"It's pretty far from here, you'll need a drive," I frowned but nodded.
"You told me Eddie would be here a week after this one," I asked my father. He nodded.
"His vacation starts this week. So he'll be there next week," I nodded, thinking about something.
"What is it?" Dimitri asked.
"Remember when I told you we have to send Robert back for some time?" I asked them and they nodded.
"Who's watching over your work in Turkey?" I asked my father.
"Eddie and Mikhail, Mikhail mainly since Eddie is still learning and of course university work," I nodded.
"I was thinking about a plan to send him back to Italy but I can't come up with something," I told them sighing and sitting down.
"Let's blow up one of his drugs fields, a large one," I looked at my father and raised an eyebrow.
"Why them?" I asked him.
"That is the way he earns most if one of them is destroyed, he has to go back," I nodded.
"Did we mention that he stole from us?" I widened my eyes.
"What?" They nodded.
"How much?" I asked them.
"10 million from me 15 from him," Dimitri told.
"Son of a bitch!" I cursed under my breath.
"Who does he think he is?" I didn't realize I'm speaking in my mother tongue until I heard a chuckle. I looked at Dimitri, who was smirking.
"What?" I asked him glaring.
"Nothing, anyway what should we do first?" He told. I shook my head.
"We can't do anything yet, we just finished building the security system. So we can't start anything yet," I told them. They nodded understanding.
"Anyway, meeting my friends?" I asked changing the subject.
My father nodded and smiled.
"Why don't we go to the main hall, men might have to remember them so it's better if they see them too." I nodded.
"Fine but I've only told about you to them," I told and he nodded.
"Can you talk to your..." Before I could finish my father got up.
"I'll go talk to them," I nodded before ringing them.
"Why didn't you tell them about me?" Dimitri asked after my father left.
"Why do you think I came to the club that day?" I asked him and he shrugged.
"I don't usually go to a club, I told them about what happened at Meghan's. About your very unusual offer, they were upset so was I so that's why I agreed with them," I told him.
"And," He asked.
"They don't like you. Especially, Emily, she thinks of herself as my sister so, she doesn't like you. But I didn't tell twins about it just you didn't want to publish my book," I told him.
A comfortable silence lingered between us.
"You looked hot that night, I didn't expect to see you on the same day like that. But you looked great," I looked at him calmly.
"you are such a flirt," He laughed at that.
"Only for you. You are the first to resist me," I snored when he told me that.
"Don't worry there are a lot more," I told him.
"I know but you know there's a saying called first time is always special," I stiffened at that.
No, not because of him. Most of my first times were not so special to me. Before I could tell anything, we heard a knock.
Dimitri opened the door, and my father along with uncle Marco came inside.
"Come on, they're ready," I nodded dialling Lissa's number. After 5 rings she picked up.
"Liss?" I asked her.
"Rose, hi! You're still up for that video call?" I smiled at her voice.
"Yup, uncle is too. Oh and Lissa?"
"Yup?" I have to remind her that this isn't like other times.
"Keep it low, you know what I mean. You can tell him things but not everything," I told her emphasizing everything. My father looked at me at that.
"Okay, I'm hanging up now, and"Not give me 5 minutes," She told.
"Not everything?" My father asked raising an eyebrow.
"Shall we?" I told walking past him.
I heard Dimitri's laugh. When we went to the meeting room everyone was waiting for us. By everyone, I meant main guards and soldiers. There were only like 30. All were my father's men and they smiled at me. Leonid was arranging some stuff on the table.
"We are going to see Rose's friends. You have to maintain your silence. You can see them and hear them but they won't. We are doing this, to protect them from rivals. Since Rose is here, anyone can try to bribe her using her friends, so we have to give them our protection. They don't have to know this," My father explained and all nodded.
"Oh just for you to know, you'll only meet girls," I told them and they scowled.
"You were involved with boys?" I rolled my eyes at their question.
"Yes, I was and am, keep that in mind, and please don't act so... you know," I told them. They scowled.
They don't like me with boys. They are one of those reasons, I didn't date in high school.
I went to the small cupboard nearby and grabbed a jar of cookies. And also ingredients to make hot chocolate after I sat down I linked my laptop to the screen and just when I finished that my phone went off.
"Chloe, can you see me properly?" Lissa's angelic face appeared on the face and her pink bedroom. She was lying on the bed.
"Yup," I looked at our men they all were looking at the big screen.
"So how have you been?" I asked her.
"I should be the person to ask it, how are you?" I chuckled at her words.
"Fine, I'm fine, anyway this is my uncle Ibrahim, uncle this is Lissa," I told.
"Hi Mr Ibrahim, I'm Lissa but you know that already," My father smiled at that.
"Hi Lissa, I'm sorry, I haven't heard a lot from her other than you're her best friend," My father told her. She chuckled.
"Of course, she hasn't, anyway I'm Lissa Dragomir, an only child. I have two cousins Jill and Andre. I study business and I met Chloe on the first day she was in uni. We became friends right away. So I haven't heard about you much from her either Mr Hathaway," She told and my father stiffened when he heard that. I cleared my throat.
"He's not Hathaway. It's my mother's surname," I told her.
"Oh shoot! I'm sorry, so what's your full name?" Emily asked.
"Mazur. Ibrahim Mazur," Liss's eyes widened.
"Like in Turkey?" My father smirked nodding his head.
"You know him?"I asked her tensely. She shook her head.
"Heard about him," Just then someone opened her door revealing Jill.
"Liss? What are you doing?" I smiled.
"Jill," I called her. Her eyes widened, and then she smiled.
"Rose, Oh my god! it's so good to see you," She told lying beside Emily.
"And you must be her uncle, hi! I'm Jill," She told.
"You must be her cousin," My father told.
"I know, it's obvious, blonde hair and all," She chuckled.
"So, anyway Rose told me about another friend, Mia?" My father asked.
"Oh we called her but she's busy with her project, so she couldn't join," Liss told.
"Mia is doing an IT one. Video editing and graphic design to be specific, and I am in the same classes with Rose. Lit and music but unlike her, I want to be a professor," Jill told.
"Ok, so Rose refused to tell me what about her life of 3 years disappearance, can you tell me anything about it?" My father asked with a smirk. I glared at him.
"Guys," I warned them but Lissa's smirk told me that she was up to no good.
"Well, she's..., she dated a guy who's 11 years elder than her," Lissa cut off Jill and I closed my eyes sighing.
Pin drop silence, from our side. I could feel burning looks from our men.
"Now, how's that for a start?" Lissa asked and Jill rolled her eyes.
"Nice and you will never meet him again," I told referring to my father.
"You dated?" My father asked. I nodded.
"Anyway, that's enough. I'm not trusting you, Liss," I told her turning my laptop to my side. And disconnected it from the big screen.
"Jill, how's everything with classes?" I asked her. Missing 7 days are something not good.
"Good, tomorrow is the last day to submit the assignment, which you already have, so breathe again, and the concert is coming so practice, other than that you have to stay up for quite a time since you missed it," She told chuckling.
"Oh and don't forget you are going to be a maid of the honour," Liss told.
"Fuck!" I muttered under my breath.
"Whose wedding?" My father asked.
"I'll tell you later," I told him.
"Oh come on Lissa, it has another 6 months," Jill told.
"I know, I just wanna remind you, Rose, that you have to give your attention to the main part that gonna bother us," I frowned.
"And that is?" I asked her.
"Bachelor party, duh!" Lissa told. I smiled taking a sip from my hot chocolate.
"What about it? It's gonna be a surprise to her," I told them.
"Where will we celebrate it?" Lissa asked.
"Well, how about clubbing? I mean she can enjoy the whole night!" Jill told.
"Please, last time I went to a club with you guys, I ended up getting drunk and talking bullshit, let's not mention the headache I had the next day, hell I can't remember anything!" I told them groaning.
"It was your fault! You drank like a maniac!" Jill told.
"How much?" I asked her.
"Well, three wine glasses, 5 Russian vodka, and 3 tequila shots! How on earth are you even alive?" I shivered as Jill told me.
"Okay, that's enough! Rose, please let's go clubbing on that day. I'll tell my father to book a club and it'll be fun!" Lissa told.
"Okay, I'll ask from others too, anything else?" I asked them.
"Nope, by the way, Mia has a request. She asked if we can get a stripper?" I rolled my eyes.
"Mia, she has a freaking boyfriend. Not to mention, my brother! How could she?" Jill told making me chuckle.
"So what? It's not about us remember? It'll be her last day enjoying her free life, so she deserves to see a hot guy!" Emily told.
"We'll see," I told her sternly.
"Oh come on! You can do a hot dance. Get drunk! manage to be a freaking nerd," I straightened up as she continued. If she doesn't stop this won't end well.
"Lissa," But luck was not on my side.
"You can have sex with... SHE'S NOT ALONE," Jill screamed as she shut up Lissa.
I closed my eyes sighing.
"Fucking shit!" I muttered.
"I'll call you later," I told her and ended the call.
The air was so thick so was the silence, you can cut it easily with a knife.
I took a deep breath.
"I'll be in my room if you need anything," I told them slowly grabbing my laptop.
"You did what?" I took a deep breath.
"I'm..." I didn't get to finish anything.
"You had sex? With whom? When? And dated?" A Series of questions flew across the room.
"Enough!" I yelled.
"First of all I'm not going to talk about my sexual life with any one of you," I told them.
"Second, yes I dated and that is still none of your business.
"You honestly were with someone?" My father asked breaking the silence. I looked at him.
He's not happy. I can see that! Of course, he's not but he didn't get to be like this. not with everything that happened before I left.
"I'm not a teen anymore. I can make my decisions," I told him getting up.
"You of all the people don't get to talk about them," I told leaving the room. As I left the room. I went to my room straight up. I leaned on the door, hugging my laptop tightly after closing the door.
I know they aren't happy, but this is my life.
I looked around my room. I have to rearrange.
Focus Rose,
