A Brits, a Yankee, a French and a Hun in Gallia

After the battle of Walcheren, the Gallian high command was planning yet another plan for the liberation of Gallia which would employ a considerable amount of plot armour. « All right, ladies, gentlemen and that rainbow in between, gather round, I've got our next orders. The target is North Brabant, Marberry Shore, on Gallia's northern shores. » Welkin explained the situation.

He then pointed the region in the map. « The enemy entrenched along the shore flanking the industrial region up north. Squad 7 has been given one of their camps at Marberry to suppress. » Welkin continued.

« Hmm…. Looking at the map, seems there's nothing but big cliffs and open sand. » Largo commented. « Well it would certainly be a change of scenario from the constant mud pools and swamps. It buggers my mind that we're still on the winning side despite the Imperials having the Rasputitsa on their side. » Squire commented.

« Nah, they would also require a lot of cold and snow to operate effectively. » Hans responded. « Which is why high command is trying to accelerate our efforts of liberating Gallia. The fatherland must be free of Imperials before the arrival of the snow, or else we're pretty much fucked. » Welkin explained.

« Anyway, as I was saying, as you approach the cliffs, the beach slopes up steeply. Their camp is at the top. The path leading up there is narrow, meaning infantry will have to take the lead here. That said, they've lined the cliffside with gunnery to combat incoming foot soldiers. » he then continued.

« Wait, high command expects us to dodge bullets running across an open beach with nothing for cover? » Rosie asked incredulous. « What's this? Bloody Gallipoli? » Jack asked annoyed. « Yeees I would really appreciate if we were to try and flank the enemy position. I mean me and Brian here don't really have fond memories of Normandy. » Squire commented, as the American was suffering PTSD at the moment.

« Sorry. After our raid in Walcheren, the Empire has decided to fortify every single position in Gallia as best as possible. So no flanking this time. » Welkin responded. « Fortify every single position? Sorry, are you sure we're trying to capture an enemy camp? Because so far it looks like we're trying to invade Leningrad! » Hans exclaimed.

« I probably then should not mention Imperial officers issued order 227 on their own troops. » Welkin commented. « Oh that's just great. [First the bloody Greenskins and now Imperium commissars. Are we going to rip off any other 40K elements in this fanfiction!?] » Squire complained.

« Stop your complaining. We're soldiers. There is no such thing as a safe mission. » Largo scolded the group. « Well one thing is a dangerous mission and the other is bloody Operation Pheasant! » Bill complained.

« Well unless we suddenly turn into the Soviet Union or China, I hardly believe that storming heavily fortified positions is a good idea. Last time someone tried I had to get my sorry arse all the way to the Asiago plateau to support some bloody Italians. » Squire commented.

« On the bright side, there doesn't seem to be any rivers in the region. » Bill noted. « Just bloody cliffs and ravines. Oh god it's the Gully all over again! » Squire exclaimed. « So any brilliant plan to take the Imperial positions that doesn't resemble the Flanders in the Great War? » Alicia asked.

« How 'bout we bomb the shit out of dem commie boys? » Brian proposed. « Yes because that worked splendidly in Normandy last time. I mean technically it helped, but we need to liberate the Marberry Shores, not recreating "Saving Private Ryan"! » Squire objected.

« What we would need is to somehow blind the enemy. » Welkin pondered. « Soo….like tank smoke rounds? » Mikhail proposed, everybody turning towards him to the idea. « That, THAT, might be the most fiendish and ingenious thing I heard from a Pole since the Mark I mine detector. » Squire congratulated the man.

« What about actually attacking the Germans while we were fighting for our lives? » Mikhail commented angrily. « We don't talk about Chamberlain handling of the war. A bad handling indeed. Sold bloody Europe to the Germans first and later Eastern Europe to the Soviets as a consequence later. » Squire complained.

« I mean, "peace for our time" seemed like a good slogan. » Hans commented. « Yeah, well next time try not to invade the rest of Czechoslovakia, Fritz. » Bill shot back. « Greater German Reich! We were simply creating living space for the master race! » Hans responded.

« Just be lucky the commies reached Berlin first. Because the second bomb was for ye fellers. » Brian commented. « And what? Ignore the holocaust out of guilt for the bombing? » Mikhail asked sceptical. « If it is about the Japanese atrocities, is THAT why you decided to let so many of them go? » a new voice asked. Everyone suddenly turned to see the one speaking, which was none other than Zaka in a Gallian uniform.

« Wait, Zaka? You joined the Gallian Royal Army? » Welkin asked confused. « Didn't you say that revenge was pointless and that killing Imperials would not bring Darcsens back? » Rosie then asked.

« Well… » Zaka begun before having a flashback.

Some days before after the liberation of the Fouzen GULAG.

When the 1st Panzer Division went to commit some war crimes on the Imperials, they were not kidding. Having crossed the border between the Empire and Gallia, they had begun demolishing several Imperial villages mercilessly.

« Please! Stop! This is too much- » Zaka pleaded the division, before the head of an Imperial officer felt right on his feet. He recognized the face of the officer as one sadist guard in the Fouzen GULAG.

« Maybe…..a little. » Zaka said as he picked up a pistol and joined the carnage.

« Let's just not sweat the details. » Zaka then said. « Yes we shall DEFINITELY not talk about what happened there. » Welkin added slightly angry. « Come on Welks. I just lost it a bit! » Isara complained.

« I raised a good little engineer girl, not a murderer! » Welkin scolded her. « You're not my dad! Literally! Although you might just as well be, and in some regards I'm glad about it. » Isara protested.

« Does that make me the mum? » Alicia commented. « What? » the Gunther said in union. « Nothing! » Alicia then said. « Speaking of Darcsens, I think I created something nice from the prisoners of Fouzen. » Hans said with a slight evil smirk.

« Why do I have the suspicion that it is going to be the complete opposite of what you said? » Squire asked desperate.

In the yard nearby, several Darcsen, dressed in black uniforms with a red ban on their arms with a Swastika on it were marching, singing Erika.

« YOU CREATED A BLOODY DARCSEN SS REGIMENT, FRITZ!? » Squire shouted angrily at Hans. « That's Darcsen-Fuhrer Hans for you, Tommy. And yes, with the help of the mighty Darcsens, final victory shall be ours. » Hans responded.

« How did you create a freaking SS battalion out of POWs!? » Varrot exclaimed confused and slightly irritated. « How did you create an efficient army made out of an unorganized militia? » Hans responded.

« We are trained since birth how to handle a rifle! Half of these dark hairs never touched a rifle before! » Rosie shot back. « Oh I'm sure they can handle a Panzerfaust. They'll do just fine. » Hans responded.

« Yes if we intend them to surrender to the West or die in a Soviet POW camp. What is that unit even called!? » Squire asked angrily. « Oh this? This is the 369th Darcsen Reinforced SS Infantry Regiment. If we can get any tanks, we can rename it the 4th SS Panzer Grenadier Brigade Darcsen. » Hans responded.

« And what is their bloody purpose!? Committing war crimes on the Eastern Front before getting encircled at Tsaritsyn!? » Squire shouted angrily. « Just a quick question for the journal reports; what are the SS? » Ellet asked.

« Have you ever heard of the world "genocide"? » Mikhail responded. « Plenty of times, yes. » Ellet responded. « Well there you have it. » Mikhail responded. Ellet remained silent for a while before turning to Hans.

« But these SS purposes isn't to commit genocides, right? » she asked slightly concerned, while Hans smirked a bit. « I said, these SS purposes isn't to commit genocides, RIGHT!? » Ellet became pale.

« Well that's just great. Now alongside trying to justify what we did in Monte Cassino; we have to justify what we're about to do to the Empire! » Edmond complained. Isara was about to speak before being interrupted by an irritated Welkin.

« You can't join. You won't join. I won't allow you to join. » he essentially hissed. « Mind if I join? Folks are gonna need a tank for complete effectiveness. » Zaka then said. « Which brings me to the next point. I don't want to sound racist, but are we sure we should hand one of our very few tanks to a guy that probably has never seen a tank before? » Varrot asked.

« Nah, I'm sure he'll do fine. He can ran over undesirable Ruskies just fine! » Hans responded. « We're going to die. We're going to FREACKING die. » Alicia said desperate. « No we won't! We have the supremacy of will! » Hans responded.

« Yes well supremacy of will doesn't quite stop T-34's now, doesn't it? » Squire asked. « Oh you guys worry too much. What can possibly go wrong? » Hans responded casually, by making a remark that the Germans probably made before Operation Barbarossa.
