Chapter 4
Maka felt something soft and fuzzy on her face, but she couldn't get herself to open her eyes or move her hands to get it off.
swish*swish*MEOW*swish*swish*
Maka opened her eyes to Blair's tail swishing over her face. The cat, who was amused with something on the floor, paid no attention to her now conscious owner.
"What the hell kind of dream was that? I drank way too much last night. Ugh my head."
Maka held her hands to her eyes and rubbed at them hard trying to clear her head of her dream and those eyes. Suddenly the bed started moving.
Maka froze tension in every single one of her muscles as she turned to Blair and asked,
"What was that? Please tell me there's nothing under the bed."
Maka's heart started to race as she began to peek over the edge of her bed to see if she could see what was moving it.
Ever so slowly she grabbed the edge and pulled herself to look over, but that last little inch made her shiver until finally she forced herself to look.
Nothing. There's nothing there. No animals, no bugs, no anything…or anyone.
She scolded herself for being such a wuss and threw her legs over the edge to make her way to the bathroom for a much needed shower.
As she got up she stretched her arms above her head and took a step forward, only to have a hand shoot out from under the bed and grab her ankle.
Maka let out a gut wrenching scream like from a horror movie before falling on her face. She looked behind her under the bed and came face to face with a red eyed Soul who had his evil smirk on.
"What the hell you ass! I thought you were a dream!" She yelled from the top of her lungs.
"Oh usually people call me a nightmare, thank you Maka. Usually only Beelzebub is able to get me to smile."
Maka kicked her leg free and went to kick his face only to have Soul catch her foot and snake out a forked tongue to lick her ankle.
"STOP! Please what do you want? How do I make you go away?"
Maka was annoyed, tired and she wanted this thing out of her apartment already. He made her feel self conscious and she didn't need that at home.
"I told you babe I'm here to do basically whatever you want I usually only stay for 24 hours, but you seem like fun and I like the faces you make when your mad or nervous so I'll give you 72 hours to enjoy me."
Soul smirked at her while helping her up, and she couldn't help to think what a gentleman move for a demon to make.
"Okay fine. My own fault for reading that damn paper that Star gave me. I should've known something he came up with would backfire on me."
Maka sighed do we have to stay here or can we go out? I'm hungry and I really don't feel like cooking today."
Soul smirked at her all sharp teeth and nodded his head making his white hair sway up and down.
"Sure thing babe, anything you want to do I'm down. It's been awhile since I've been top side so I'd like to get out too."
Maka glared at Soul and pursed her lips before letting out a menacing growl.
"Don't call me babe. Stop looking at me like you're undressing me, and if we go out you can't look so demony. The tail has to go babe."
Maka tried to make him uncomfortable by using that word, but he merely smiled down at her and waggled his eyebrows.
"Okay no tail I can do that, anything else oh master before we head out? Would you like to put my leash on?"
She knew he was messing with her by the smirk he wore on his face, but before she could stop herself she meekly asked him,
"You have a leash?"
Soul couldn't contain his laughter any longer and keeled over face red and tears in his eyes from laughing so hard. He really liked this girl. He found her hilarious.
Maka stomped her way to her restroom and locked her door intent on taking a shower in peace.
