"Rapunzel, are we there yet?"

Olaf had been asking her the same question for over an hour now. Rapunzel couldn't blame him; they had been in their basket over the past couple of days and they had yet to find any land.

She carefully peered over the edge and saw ocean waves bob up and down underneath the large sky. "Not yet, Olaf. We'll keep an eye out."

After she warned Olaf not to lean on the edge, Rapunzel watched the snowman wobble over towards it and stare out into the open water.

"We'll find land soon, right?" Olaf asked, peering around.

"I'm sure we will," Rapunzel reassured, trying to do everything she could to be hopeful. Pascal chattered up to her. "It may not be right away, Pascal, but I'm sure we'll run into something."

That last word made her wish that she'd said something else instead. They were stranded in the middle of the ocean and they had no clue what could be lurking underneath in the water. Whatever was out there could attack their basket if it wanted to. The worst part was that they had no idea how much longer that would be.

Another thing that worried her was the basket. It was made for air, not water, and Rapunzel wasn't sure how long its stability would hold up in the ocean water. Should it weaken, they'd be in danger of water running in, resulting in their basket sinking.

Rapunzel rubbed her eyes and held back a yawn. Since their basket fell in the ocean, she'd been vigilant. She wanted to keep watch in case something happened to the basket, or if they ran into something, whether it was land or an underwater creature or a storm.

Heaving a breath, Rapunzel ran her fingers through her hair as she slowly peered up at the sky. The sky was a little cloudy, making everything seem darker, but the temperature still hadn't dropped. So far, it seemed like there might be a chance of rain, though it could just be a cloudy day for all she knew.

The splashing reminded Rapunzel to stare at the ocean water all around her. The peaceful waves bobbed their basket, creating a soft gurgling sound. Despite its potential danger, the ocean was very beautiful. She remembered that when she returned home to her parents and Cassandra was showing her the library, she found a book about the ocean. In that book, it showed an illustration of under the sea and it made her wish that she would swim underwater one day.

A squawking seagull flitted over their basket, making Olaf smile.

"Hi, bird!" Olaf called, excitedly. His twig arm waved at the bird. "How are you? Ooh, you're so cute! Can you help us find any land?"

Rapunzel and Pascal giggled as they watched Olaf talk to the seagull. He always brought a smile to anyone's face. She wondered how Anna and Elsa would react to this.

After the seagull flew out of sight, Olaf peered back at Rapunzel. "It doesn't look like that bird's going to help us. What kind of bird is that?"

"It's a seagull," Rapunzel chuckled. "They're often around beaches and the ocean. I think that it would help us if it could."

Pascal crawled further onto the edge to see if there was any land coming up that they might've missed. After he surveyed around a few times again, he glanced over to Rapunzel and Olaf, letting out a squeak as he shook his head.

"It's okay, Pascal," Rapunzel comforted, petting him before she allowed him to crawl onto her palm. "We want to find land too."

Olaf peered down at The Little Mermaid and opened up the book, revealing an illustration of a mermaid swimming in the ocean. The book hadn't gotten wet because it was in the little basket that Henry gave them.

Olaf pointed to the mermaid. "I wish those were real. Then they can save us."

"They are real, Olaf." Rapunzel smiled. "You know, a friend of mine fell in love with one once."

Olaf goggled at her with a large smile. "Really? Can you tell me?"

As Rapunzel told Olaf about when Hook Foot fell in love with Seraphina, she wondered if they ever saw each other again. She hadn't seen Seraphina since she left and while she did see one of the concerts of Hook Hand and Hook Foot last year, Rapunzel hadn't asked about her. The brothers had been touring all over the world so maybe they'd run into Seraphina somewhere.

"Wow, that was what happened?" Olaf asked. Rapunzel nodded at him. "I hope that Hook Foot and Seraphina will see each other again."

"Me too."

Olaf's mouth dropped and he let out a gasp. "Hey, maybe Seraphina will help us!" he exclaimed. Before Rapunzel could reply, Olaf began shouting for Seraphina. "Seraphina! Can you help us? Seraphina—"

Rapunzel quickly shushed Olaf and gave him an apology for telling him to be quiet. She thought that she heard something splashing nearby and didn't know what it was. At first, she thought that maybe Seraphina happened to be in the same area as them, however, there didn't seem to be any sign of her. Her heart thudded at the possibility that something was nearby and she gestured for her friends to remain silent.

They remained still in the basket for what felt like an entirety. All they could hear was the water splashing underneath them. Rapunzel peered out into the water, searching all over to see if there was anything nearby. She expected to see something pop out of the ocean, yet she only saw the calm waves bobbing. After a moment of observation, Rapunzel decided that they were fine for now. She must have misheard something or her mind was playing tricks on her.

"What was that?" Olaf asked, peering over the edge of the basket and back at Rapunzel. "What do you think that was?"

"It could've been just a fish," Rapunzel suggested. She stared at the waters around her again for any sign of land. "We are in the middle of an ocean, after all, Olaf." Pascal chattered to her. "I know, Pascal. I want us to get out of this soon too."

Rapunzel felt an inch at the back of her throat and her mouth was dry. She opened up the little basket that Henry packed them. Fortunately, he had packed them some water. Unfortunately, they didn't have much left, and being under the blazing sun yesterday made things worse.

"Olaf? Pascal? Do you guys need water?"

They both nodded and Rapunzel took out the jar. After she removed the lid, she peered down and her heart heated up. From the looks of it, there was only enough water for two of them. Without hesitation, she allowed Olaf and Pascal to take a slip until the jar was empty.

"What about you?" Olaf asked, worriedly. "Aren't you thirsty too?"

After she put the jar back on, she shuddered at the idea that unless they found land soon, Olaf and Pascal would be thirsty again.

Pascal peered up at her with concern and chattered to her. "I'll be fine, you guys. I can wait until we stop," Rapunzel assured. "We'll find land soon and then we'll get more water." Pascal chattered to her. "I'm sure that it won't come to that, Pascal."

Olaf peered at the water and gasped. "I have an idea! We can drink from the ocean. We could just fill the jar with water and we'll be fine!"

"I know that you're trying to help, Olaf, but we can't drink saltwater."

"Why not?"

"Saltwater would do more harm to us than good," Rapunzel explained. She admitted that it was tempting to fill their jars with saltwater with them being surrounded by water and the sun dehydrating them. But she'd read about the effects of saltwater and didn't want them to suffer the dehydrating consequences of drinking out of the ocean. "I know that it looks like we could drink from it, but we can't. When we find land, I promise that we will find water."

"Why didn't Henry give us more jars of water?" Olaf wondered. "Did he forget?"

"He actually did give us a lot before we left, Olaf," said Rapunzel. During their time on the hot air balloon, they didn't go through as much water because the balloon shaded them from the sun. "Remember, he couldn't give us more because he was trying to cover his tracks. Also, we were supposed to land before we would even come close to running out of water. None of us thought that we'd lose our balloon."

"I wish that he could help us again."

Rapunzel sighed. "Me too."

"That reminds me," Olaf began, "what happened to your pin?"

She glanced over her shoulders with a puzzled expression. "What pin?"

"You know?" Olaf asked, craning his head forward. His head almost fell off but he managed to catch it. "The one with the golden flower? You wore it in your hair before you took the scarecrow clothes in Mirahton."

"Oh, you mean my hairpin!" Rapunzel delved into her pocket and opened her palm where the hairpin laid. After putting on her disguise she'd forgotten all about it. She clipped it back in her hair and peered in her reflection. Her hairpin now almost blended in with her blonde hair.

"Where did you get that pin?" Olaf asked, tilting his head. "Did you make it?"

Rapunzel chuckled. "Oh, no, it was a gift from Aunt Iduna and Uncle Agnarr. When I was born, they meant to give it to me as a gift and made plans to go to Corona to see me but then, I got taken. Mom told me that Aunt Iduna had this pin made after the flower that saved my life and my mother's. After I got home, and when I was getting married, my mom gave this to me and said that since they couldn't come to my wedding, they had sent this to me." Her eyes dimmed when she thought of Aunt Iduna and Uncle Agnarr. If only, she'd met them.

"Anna and Elsa got that blanket from their mom," Olaf recalled. "They said that she had it with her all her life."

"Yes, I remember them telling me about it when I first saw it," Rapunzel remarked, turning her gaze away from the water and to Olaf.

"When was that?"

"It was before I painted that portrait of them. You were in the courtyard with Kristoff, Eugene, Maximus, and Sven."

"Oh, got it."

Pascal chattered to her. "I think Aunt Willow mentioned something about a dreamcatcher. She said that she was going to bring it with her the next time she visits." She sighed, peering down at her reflection. "Hopefully, all of this will be over with by then."

For a while, they kept an eye out for any upcoming land as the water carried them further on to the ocean. Unfortunately, the sun was starting to blaze through the clouds. As tempted as they were, they did not fill their jar with saltwater. Rapunzel's hope of finding land soon was starting to diminish, but she still held on to hope.

"Rapunzel, what time is it?" Olaf asked.

None of them had a watch. Even if they did, it likely would've been destroyed when the water came in. It was a miracle that the guitar didn't get destroyed.

Rapunzel peered up at the sky and the sun. "I think it's sometime in the late afternoon. Maybe early evening?"

Rapunzel's eyes scanned around the area for any land again to no avail. Her eyes almost shut, but she shook her head to keep herself awake. She heard Olaf yawn behind her and she turned to him.

"You can take a nap, Olaf," Rapunzel said softly. When Pascal chattered to her, she peered down at him and saw that he looked exhausted too. "You should get some sleep too, Pascal."

"What about you?" Olaf asked. "I don't think that you've slept since we got in the water."

"I'll keep an eye out for the land," Rapunzel declared. Pascal shot a concerned look at her and chattered. "I'll be fine, guys. As soon as we find land, we'll sleep. I'm sure that we'll find land soon."

"Why can't we all go to sleep?"

"I have to keep watch," Rapunzel answered. She took a glance over the edge before she peered back at Olaf and Pascal. "I'll watch for any potential land and wake you two up."

"That's not fair! You need sleep too!"

"It'll be okay, Olaf," Rapunzel assured. "I can go a little longer without sleep."

"But aren't you sleepy?"

Rapunzel smiled down at him. "I'll be okay." Pascal chattered up at her. "You think that we should take turns keeping watch, Pascal?"

Olaf gasped before a smile came on his face. "That's a great idea, Pascal! I'm up for it!" After nodding along with Pascal, they both turned to Rapunzel. "Now, you can get sleep too, Rapunzel! Pascal and I will keep watch first and then we'll wake you up either when we see land or when it's your turn!"

"Gosh. Olaf, Pascal, are you sure?"

"Yes!" Olaf exclaimed. "We both agree that you should get sleep first! We had more than you did so it's your turn!"

It was very kind and generous of them. She appreciated that they were looking out for her, but she felt like they needed the sleep more than she did. "That is so sweet of you. I have an idea. I'll take the first watch and you two sleep. If I don't find land soon, then I'll wake you two up and rest while you keep a lookout. Deal?"

Olaf nodded. Pascal hesitated before he accepted her offer. Olaf lay down on the ground and Pascal lay next to him. Rapunzel brought out the blanket and covered them.

Olaf let out a large yawn. "Do you know any lullabies?"

Rapunzel knew many lullabies and wished that her mother was able to sing her one as a child. She was glad that Aunt Iduna had sung a lullaby to her cousins before the accident happened.

"There's one that my mother would've sung to me. She said that my grandmother used to sing it to her, Aunt Willow, and Aunt Iduna."

"Can you sing it to us?"

Rapunzel nodded and sang the lullaby to Olaf and Pascal before they drifted off to sleep.

As she listened to the snores of Olaf and Pascal, Rapunzel stared out at the horizon for any potential land. They all would get rest; they just had to find land first. Rapunzel remained still, trying to come up with something that would put her mind at peace.

Rapunzel imagined the sun embracing her castle and all of Corona. The people spending their day doing their daily duties. Monty and Atilla opening their sweet shop and pastries to everyone. Feldspar working on a new boot and smiling at his cabbage, Precious. Hook Foot and Hook Hand would be coming to Corona for one of their concerts and to visit their friends from the Snuggly Duckling. Pete and Stan would be patrolling around the town, having another one of their discussions on whether Pete would look good with a mustache. Lance would be cooking lunch for Keira and Catalina. It even would be one of the rare times that Mrs. Crowley would smile because everything was peaceful and quiet.

Rapunzel would put Pascal on her shoulder and when they would enter the courtyard; her entire family and friends would be there waiting for her with open arms. She would then invite them all to paint the archway with her. They would gather buckets of paint and follow her to the archway. They all would spend hours painting the archway until they were finally finished. Afterward, they would invite all of Corona to see the newly painted masterpiece that they created together. Once everyone would see the archway and stare at it in awe, Rapunzel would—

"What are you doing?" a woman's voice asked.

Rapunzel jumped and quickly surveyed the area. Was there a boat coming? Were they finally heading towards land? After she saw no sign of anyone, she sighed and peered down at the water. However, she still heard voices in the background. She was just about to look again when she let out a small gasp and almost jumped.

In the water, she saw a teenage boy and a teenage girl herding reindeer in a forest. The boy wore a jacket, a belt, and a green hat and shoes. The girl wore a long coat, grey boots, a hat, and a long, dark braid cascaded down her back. They both were riding reindeer with a whole herd behind them.

The boy took a peek at the sky and then back to the girl. "I can't wait until we can finally travel to new places. I want to go out into the world."

"Honeymaren," the boy said in a deeper voice, leaning his head down to his reindeer. It reminded Rapunzel of how Kristoff does Sven's voice for him. Honeymaren chuckled, shaking her head. "Aren't you bored being in the same place all the time?"

Honeymaren paused before shushing the boy. "Ryder, listen."

They were quiet for a minute before Honeymaren peered back to him.

Ryder heaved a sigh of relief. "Phew! I thought that it was the Earth giants again."

"So did I," Honeymaren said. Rapunzel furrowed her eyebrows. Where were they? "But we better get back. It's getting close to dark. The Earth giants will be out soon. Or we'll be running into them again. I wish that there was peace between all of us."

Ryder nodded. "Do you think that there'll be peace someday?"

"Only Ahtohallan knows."

Suddenly Olaf let out a loud scream and Rapunzel whirled around to see what was going on. Olaf was laughing in his sleep. Hopefully, he wasn't having a nightmare. Rapunzel peered back at the water and she no longer saw an image of anyone there.

Who were those people? Was she seeing things because she hasn't slept?

A splash nearby threw off her thoughts. As she peered around to see what it was, her eyes widened when she saw rocks ahead. Could this mean that there was land ahead?

She quickly rushed over to her friends. "Guys! Wake up!"

Pascal opened his eyes and peered up at her while Olaf remained asleep. Rapunzel kept trying to wake him up until he finally sat up.

He stretched out his arms and asked, "What's going on?"

"I think we might be running into land!" Rapunzel said, before racing back to the edge of the basket. "Come on!"

As Olaf picked up Pascal and wobbled after her, Rapunzel observed the area around her. Her eyes widened as soon as the rocks grew closer and she kept an eye out for any island. As they went past the rocks, her smile faded once she saw that there was no land nearby.

"They're just rocks," Rapunzel sighed. Despite that there wasn't any nearby land, it doesn't mean that they weren't close to finding one soon. "But it's still a good sign. It means that we'll find something soon. We just need to keep an—"

A series of frantic squeals caused them to freeze. Not too long after, the squeals returned and were louder.

"Someone's in trouble!" Rapunzel exclaimed.

Rapunzel, Olaf, and Pascal peered around the area, frantically searching for the source of the sound. Rapunzel kept peering around until she heard Pascal squeak. She turned to him and asked what he saw. Pascal pointed his tail forward and they turned in that direction.

Across from them, a small piglet with white fur and grey spots was stranded on a flat rock, squealing.

"Ooh, a piggy!" Olaf exclaimed. He went over towards the edge and waved at it. "Hi, there! How are you?"

Rapunzel's eyes widened as she watched the piglet fractally cry out for help. "How did it get there? Poor little guy!" Pascal chattered to her. "I agree, Pascal. We have to help it!"

While the piglet's squeals carried out over the atmosphere and the water carried the basket away, Rapunzel observed her surroundings. Between the rock and their basket, there was nothing but clear water. Maybe she could swim over to the piglet? Rapunzel reached the edge and was just about to get in the water when she froze.

If Rapunzel climbed out of the basket, she could draw in more water, and also, the basket could float away while she swam out to rescue the piglet. It would be like the cart in Mirahton all over again. She glanced over her shoulder, biting her lip. Could she use something to paddle the basket over to the rock and rescue the piglet? Her eyes scanned the basket until they spotted the guitar in the corner.

Rapunzel was just to grab the guitar when Olaf let out a scream. She peered ahead and gasped when she saw that they were heading towards a large rock. Instantly, a thought occurred to her as she peered at the upcoming rock and back at the rock where the poor piglet sat. There was a good distance between the two rocks yet it wasn't too far to swim.

"What are we going to do?" Olaf asked, tugging on Rapunzel's dress. "How can we help the piggie?"

As the basket bobbed closer to the rock, Rapunzel let out a breath. "Okay. Olaf, Pascal, we're going to let the rock come to us. Right when we get close enough, we are going to leap onto the rock and pull the basket onto it." Pascal crawled onto her shoulder. Rapunzel clasped her hands on the edge and Olaf did the same. "Alright, guys, when I count to three, we will leap out."

The image of the rock coming closer to their basket and the piglet's squealing made her heart throb faster. She clasped the edge so tightly that she felt like she could get a blister from the wood.

"One."

The basket continued to bob as it floated closer to the rock. The splashing intermingled with the piglet's cries for help.

"Two."

Rapunzel let out a breath, watching as they got closer. Finally, the basket floated right next to the rock, nearly bumping into it.

"Three!"

With no hesitation, Rapunzel and Olaf leaped over the edge of the basket and their feet hit the flat rock underneath with their hands still clinging on to the basket. Rapunzel realized that the basket was heavier than it looked as soon as they began to pull it back to them. The water tried to push the basket out of their grips as they pulled the basket onto the rock.

The basket brushed against the rock as they pulled it further. Right when they got the basket to the middle of the rock, Rapunzel swore that she heard something break. She was about to see what that was when the piglet's cry caused her to turn away.

"Now what are we going to do?" Olaf asked. "How are we going to help it?"

She was just about to tell her friends to swim over to the piglet with her when she paused. As much as she wanted them to come with her, something told her that she should rescue the piglet on her own. Would she put them in more danger if she sent them out with her?

Rapunzel ran her hair behind her ears, letting out a breath, and turned to Olaf. She took Pascal from her shoulders and placed him on Olaf's shoulder. "I'm going to swim over there. You guys stay here."

Olaf nodded and turned to the basket. He pulled out the guitar, the frying pan, and The Little Mermaid book. Pascal raised his eyebrow at the stuff on the ground. "Okay, I'll keep an eye on these things while you get the piggie."

He was only trying to help her so she couldn't object. "That'll be helpful, Olaf. You two should also keep an eye on the basket just to be safe."

Olaf saluted. "Right away!"

She almost shivered as she felt the cool wind brush against her shoulders. Rapunzel turned to the ocean and let out a breath before she jumped off the rock and into the water. Water filled her ears as she swam towards the surface. When her head broke the surface, Rapunzel gasped and opened her eyes. She felt the waves brush against her as she floated in the water.

After the piglet continued to squeal, Rapunzel leaned her body forward, kicking her legs and moving her arms. Her heart skipped and a series of splashes echoed behind her. She paid no attention to anything else around her and focused on getting to the rock to rescue the piglet.

A sharp pain ran through her arms and legs and her heart skipped faster, but Rapunzel wasn't going to give in. The piglet's cries for help encouraged her to keep going. The view of the piglet and the rock came closer to her as she kicked harder in the water.

When she finally came in contact with the rock, she lay herself against the hard, hot surface and pulled herself up. The piglet quit squealing and turned to her as Rapunzel crawled to the middle and got up on her feet.

Rapunzel peered down at the piglet and bent down to it. "Hey there, little guy. Are you alright? How did you get here?"

The piglet tilted its head at her. It then peered over at the waves like it was waiting for something or someone. How had this poor thing ended up here? Had it gotten separated from its friends?

"It's okay," Rapunzel soothed, stepping forward to it. The piglet backed away from her with a frightened expression. He almost reminded her of a puppy. "Don't be afraid. I'm here to help you. It's going to be okay."

Rapunzel calmly approached the cowering piglet. She slowly held her hand out and gently patted its head. As she petted it, the piglet peered up at her. After a few minutes, the piglet smiled.

"Oh, you're so sweet." Rapunzel smiled. The piglet slowly started to come towards her. "Hey, do you want to come with me and my friends? We can keep each other company."

This caused the piglet to pause. It peered back at the water again and stared straight out at the horizon. Rapunzel peered straight out at the ocean. Had this little guy been on a ship and then fallen off? Was it abandoned? What happened?

Rapunzel turned back to the piglet. "Are you looking for someone?"

The piglet nodded. They couldn't just leave it here, but they needed to reunite the piglet with his friends. If only, they knew who he was with.

"I tell you what," Rapunzel said, gently. "How about you come with us and then we'll help you find your friends? If you see them nearby, you can let us know and we'll bring you back to them. How does that sound?"

The piglet peered around the area before it approached Rapunzel with a smile. Rapunzel smiled back at it, opening her arms.

"That's it."

As soon as the piglet jumped into Rapunzel's arms, almost knocking her over, it began licking her face. Rapunzel chuckled.

"You're such a good boy," she chirped, patting him. "Yes, you are!" She held him against her shoulders, peering back at the water. "Don't worry, little guy. You can come with us and we'll help you find your friends. Everything is going to be alright."

The piglet peered at her and squealed with a smile. Rapunzel sat and began to scootch towards the water. As she slid herself in the water, she held the piglet close to her shoulder and made sure that the water wasn't higher than the piglet's head and her head. It was going to be much more difficult swimming back to Olaf and Pascal. Rapunzel let out a breath as her left arm wrapped around the piglet and her right arm pushed against the water, moving her body forward.

"It's okay, little guy," Rapunzel soothed. "We just have to swim over to my friends. We have a basket that'll carry us in the water. We'll find your friend in no time."

"Hey, Rapunzel?" Olaf's voice called over to her. Pascal then squeaked over to her. "I'm not sure, but I think that there's a boat far ahead! Pascal saw it!"

The piglet began squealing with excitement. Rapunzel glanced over to him and asked, "Is that your friend?" The piglet nodded to her. "Great! We'll just have to get in the basket and get you back to your friend!" Rapunzel held the piglet closer to her shoulder and peered back at Olaf and Pascal. "Guys! Get the basket ready! As soon as we reach you guys, we're going to that boat!"

As she swam closer to the rock, she watched Olaf climb into the basket, his head falling in first. Pascal climbed up on the side of the basket. The piglet then squealed and wiggled against her shoulder. From the sound of his squealing, he seemed to be frightened about something.

Rapunzel glanced over to him and asked, "What's the matter, little guy? There's nothing to be afraid of—" Her eyes widened as she let out a horrifying gasp.

Her heart pounded when she saw that beneath her were colorful round bodies with multiple ribbon-like tentacles. There were so many of them and they were right underneath her feet. How had she not noticed the jellyfish when she got in the water? Had they been underneath her the whole time and she hadn't seen them until now? Had they come into the area while she was getting the piglet off the rock? If the piglet hadn't alerted her, she could've accidentally touched one and gotten stung.

Without hesitation, Rapunzel lifted her head and shouted, "Guys, stay in the basket and don't get in the water! There's jellyfish!"

Olaf leaned his body towards the edge of the basket with a perplexed expression, peering at the water. "Those are jellyfish? They don't look anything like jelly. Are there peanut butter fishes and they look like that too?" Before Rapunzel could reply, she heard Pascal chattered to him. "Ah, I get it. Thank you, Pascal." He peered back at the water. "They are so pretty! I want to touch them!"

"No, don't, Olaf!" Rapunzel shouted, trying her best not to touch one. "They could sting you!"

Olaf frantically peered over at Rapunzel. "Since you're around them, does that mean that they're going to hurt you?"

Rapunzel was just about to answer him when they heard someone from far off yell to them.

"Pua!" a girl's voice frantically shouted. "Pua, where are you? Pua! Ocean, help me!"

The piglet excitedly let out a squeal and Rapunzel glanced over to him. "Are you Pua?" The piglet nodded to her.

"Pua!" the girl shouted. "Don't worry, I'll find you!"

"Is that your friend?" Rapunzel asked. Pua nodded again. "Well, don't you worry, Pua, we'll get you back to her." She peered down at the jellyfish underneath her and gulped. "We just have to get out of here first."

She let out a breath, held Pua closer to her shoulder, and slowly swam towards the rock, keeping an eye out on the jellyfish. If she took her eyes off of them, she could run into one of their tentacles. She hoped that they wouldn't come towards Pua, the girl, Olaf, and Pascal. The latter two should be safe as long as they didn't go in the water. The girl's calls for Pua carried over to them as Rapunzel slowly swam forward.

Just then, a jellyfish shot towards Rapunzel's feet and she let out a gasp, drawing her legs upright when the tentacles were an inch away from touching her. Her heart pounded so hard that her chest hurt and she almost screamed.

"I'm coming, Rapunzel!"

When she peered up, Rapunzel gasped as she watched the basket float towards her with Olaf inside. He was using a log to paddle over to her. He must've found one on the rock while she was swimming to Pua. "Olaf, what are you doing?"

"I'm coming to get you!" Olaf shouted. "Hold on!"

Rapunzel heard a frightening squeak and peered over to the rock where Pascal laid. He must've crawled out of the basket when he saw that she and Pua were surrounded by jellyfish and tried to see if there was something that he could do.

"Why is this basket coming down?" Olaf asked.

Rapunzel peered back at Olaf and gasped when she saw that the basket was sinking. How was it sinking? "Olaf, the basket!"

Olaf peered around the basket and screamed. He spotted something on the ground and ran around in circles. "There's a hole in the basket! There's a hole in the basket!"

Rapunzel's eyes widened and she recalled hearing the basket break when they pulled it on the rock. "That must've been when we were dragging it on the rock!" She peered at Olaf and the jellyfish all around her. "What are we going to do?"

"Pua!" the girl called again.

Pua's friend was their only hope. "Help!" Rapunzel screamed. "My friend's sinking and there are jellyfish in here!" She pulled her legs closer to her chest. "Help! Help!"

Not too long after, Olaf and Pascal started crying out for help too. Rapunzel held Pua closer to her and quickly started to rock forward, but she managed to stop herself. It was difficult because her legs would help her float, but if she dared to stretch them back out, she might get stung.

Olaf grabbed a jar, dunked in the water, and tried to pour it out of the basket, but it was no use. The water kept on coming in. Rapunzel gasped as she watched the basket sinking. Olaf closed his eyes, until he floated over the sinking basket.

Rapunzel stood there with a puzzled expression. Did something save Olaf? She let out a small gasp as she watched the water bring Olaf's basket into the air. Pua excitedly called out to the water. The water paused in the air and tilted to the side just like a person would.

"Are you alive?" Rapunzel asked. The ocean nodded at Rapunzel. How was this possible? Was it magical? Was someone controlling it? Rapunzel was just about to ask when the ocean carried Olaf and swam over towards the boat.

The log floated towards Rapunzel and Pua. After snatching the log, she peered over at Pascal and then back at Pua. She pointed at Pascal and instructed, "Get on this and swim over to my friend, Pascal. I'll find a way to escape the jellyfish." Should she not make it, at least her friends and Pua would be rescued by Pua's friend. Pua stared at her with a frantic expression. "Pua, I promise, it's going to be alright."

Pua slowly climbed onto the log and kicked his feet in the water to bring him to the rock. Rapunzel remained still as Pua used the log.

After she watched him reach the rock and climb towards Pascal, Rapunzel peered down at the water. The jellyfish were encircling her all around and were getting so close that she could touch them. Her eyes scanned the area as she tried to come up with any ideas to help her escape.

Her eyes widened when she saw that the ocean was bringing something into the area. She crossed her arms right when two jellyfish came close to them. The bottom of a boat was coming closer. Maybe the ocean was bringing someone to help? She was feeling weak but her hands clasped her arms as she floated.

Suddenly, she felt a sharp sting on her left foot and she heard herself scream. She had no desire to peer down underneath her. Her left foot felt a second sting and this time, more painful. She wanted to stop before she could run into any more tentacles but she wouldn't give up. She needed to get to that rock and she wasn't going to let her weakened state and a few jellyfish stings stop her. Thank goodness that she'd given Pua to Pascal. He may or may not know how to swim plus, he might've gotten stung by the jellyfish. Hopefully, he, Olaf, and Pascal were safer than she was.

"Hold on!" the girl shouted.

When Rapunzel peered over, she saw that the ocean was bringing a boat closer to it. The boat was decorated with flowers and had a mast with a swirl on it. Olaf was standing right next to a girl with long wavy black hair and brown eyes.

Not too long after, the boat finally reached her and the girl went over towards Rapunzel and held out her hand. "Get on!"

She took her hand and allowed her to pull her on board. When she was out of the water, Rapunzel crawled in the middle of the boat. She could see the cargo hold on here. When she stopped and sat down, she spotted the angry red marks on her feet. Were those jellyfish venomous? If so, how long did she have left?

She heard footsteps rush over to her and she turned just in time to see Olaf towering over her.

Olaf gasped right when he noticed her wounds. "Oh no! You're hurt! Was that from those?"

Rapunzel nodded. "Don't worry, I'm sure that I'll be fine."

She felt footsteps coming over to her. "Maybe you should check the water before taking a dip with jellyfish. Are you okay?"

She glanced and got a better look at the young girl. She was slender with a muscular build. Around her neck was a bead necklace with a blue shell. She wore a red crop top and a red sash around her skirt.

Her eyes widened and she yelled, "Pua!"

Rapunzel swung over and watched Pua and Pascal cry out for help. "My friend is there too!"

As the girl rushed over to her oar, Rapunzel spotted a slender rooster with large eyes and tiny pupils. He clucked and went over to her. She sat down on the ground, smiling down at him.

Olaf's smile grew big when he noticed the rooster. The rooster peered to the right and then to the left as Olaf wobbled over to him.

"Ooh, a chicken!" Olaf exclaimed. He peered down at the rooster, waving at him. "I always wanted to see a chicken! Hi, how are you?"

The rooster turned at Olaf and let out a scream. Rapunzel nearly jumped back but stopped herself. She glanced over her shoulder at the water underneath the boat and let out a small gasp. She slowly scooted further onto the boat, turning her head away from the ocean.

The girl swung around and raced over to the rooster. "Hei Hei!" Hei Hei was just about to run into the water when the ocean caught him and threw him at her. "Don't run off again."

"If you want," Rapunzel offered, "I could hold him for you."

"Are you sure?" the girl asked, walking over towards her.

Rapunzel smiled. "Yes, I love animals."

The girl handed Rapunzel Hei Hei and went back to her oar. Rapunzel held him like a baby as he stared up at her.

"Hey there, little guy," Rapunzel soothed, cradling him. "It's okay."

Hei Hei tilted his head and stared at something on her. At first, Rapunzel was confused until she noticed that he was staring at her hairpin.

"You like my hairpin? You think it's pretty?"

Hei Hei stretched his head forward and tried to connect his beak to her hairpin, but she tilted her head so he couldn't reach it. Still, it didn't stop him from trying to get it.

Rapunzel held Hei Hei as she glanced over her shoulder to watch the girl docked the ship next to the rock. As soon he could, Pua leaped off the rock and onto her boat.

"Pua!" the girl yelled with tears in her eyes. Pua raced over to her and jumped into her arms. The girl held him with tears in her eyes as he licked her. It reminded Rapunzel of when she found Pascal with Henry back in Mirahton. "I thought I lost you!"

Rapunzel's eyes scanned for Pascal. Her heart was throbbing until she saw a small figure blending in with the guitar. The color faded away and Pascal peaked his head up.

"Pascal!" Rapunzel exclaimed. She allowed her left hand to hold Hei Hei against her shoulder and she held out the other to Pascal. He quickly went over to her palm. She brought him closer to her face. "Thank goodness you two are safe!"

The girl peered over to her. "Is he alright?" Rapunzel nodded. The girl peered down at Pua. "Are you alright?"

Olaf wobbled forward and pointed at Rapunzel. "She saved him!"

The girl peered over at her with tears in her eyes. "You saved him?" Pua nodded and smiled at Rapunzel. "Oh, thank you! Thank you! I couldn't—" Her eyes fell upon the jellyfish underneath the surface. "We should get out of here." She was just about to grab her oar when she noticed the frying pan, the guitar, and the book on the rock. "Are those yours?"

"Yes," Rapunzel answered.

Olaf's head bowed and his eyes dimmed. "We lost everything else in the basket. I'm sorry that I didn't take those out."

"It's alright," Rapunzel soothed. "We survived. That's all that matters."

"Exactly," the girl agreed. "It could've been worse. Since we're right next to that rock, we should grab your stuff and then leave."

"Good idea," Rapunzel agreed.

The girl went over to the rock and picked up the guitar. Rapunzel picked up the frying pan and the book. Pascal gasped when he noticed her wounds.

"It's okay," Rapunzel soothed, putting down the book and frying pan. "It'll—ow!"

She accidentally dropped Hei Hei and gasped when she saw that he had pulled the hairpin out of her hair. The girl, who had just put down the guitar, gasped.

"No, no, no!"

Hei Hei swallowed the hairpin. When the hairpin reached the middle of his throat, he spit it out and it went flying towards the ocean. Rapunzel and the girl tried to catch it, but it was too late.

She watched as the hairpin sunk to the bottom of the ocean, never to be seen again. Her eyes dimmed as she sat down.

Olaf's eyes were still locked on the ocean. "Was that the hairpin from your aunt and uncle?"

Rapunzel sighed. "Yes. It was all I had of them."

The girl went over towards the water. "Keep an eye on Hei Hei." The ocean wave was about to do something when the girl told it not to. "No, I'll do this on my own. You help them watch Hei Hei and Pua."

Rapunzel glanced over to the girl and asked, "What are you—"

The girl jumped off of her boat and dove into the water. Rapunzel gasped. She understood what she was doing, but there were so many jellyfish down there. Should she go in and help?

Hei Hei went towards the water, but the ocean wave picked him up and put him next to Olaf. Pua frantically peered at the water. Rapunzel peered down at the water with worry. She should get in there and help the girl, yet she also didn't want anything to happen to everyone else on board.

For a while, nothing could be heard except their breathing until Olaf finally spoke up. "Is she okay?"

Rapunzel gulped and glanced over to the ocean wave. "Do you think that you could—"

Suddenly, Pascal started squeaking and pointing his tail towards the water. Rapunzel rushed over to it, just in time to see the girl break through the surface, gasping for air.

The ocean picked her up and sat her down on the boat. Rapunzel rushed over to her. "Are you alri—" She gasped. "Oh, no!"

Her heart stung when she saw that the girl had an angry red mark on her right foot. The girl winced in pain as she sat down with the hairpin in her hands, staring at her wound. Olaf, Pascal, and Pua went over to her in concern.

"Oh my gosh!" Rapunzel cried, tears forming in her eyes. "I'm so sorry!"

"You're fine," the girl moaned, wincing at her pain. "There were just too many of them. Actually, this is my first encounter with those things."

"This is my fault," Rapunzel cried. "I'm so sorry."

A tear fell from one of her eyes and onto the girl's wound. Rapunzel buried her face in her hands and sobbed. Just then she felt Pascal tap on her and remove her hands. A light in the form of a flower gleamed on the girl's wound, and lit it up. Everyone peered at the sight in astonishment. After the light went away, the girl let out a small gasp and peered down at her foot in awe. Her wound was gone.

Rapunzel remained where she was, not taking her eye off of the girl's foot. She was lucky that she still had the ability to heal even though her magic hair hasn't come back.

Olaf gasped. "Hey! You did it again! That's just like how you healed E—" Pascal snuck his tongue into Olaf's ear and he jumped.

The girl peered up at Rapunzel and asked, "How do you do that?"

"Must be my magic," Rapunzel answered, peering up. As long as she doesn't know her name, she still could tell her about her magic. She could just think that she's a different girl with powers. "I think that it just came back."

The girl hoisted herself on her feet. "You had this before?"

"I have. It's been a while."

The girl gasped as she watched the rooster run off the boat. Fortunately, she was able to catch him in time and she turned to the ocean. "We should get out of here. Lead my boat north until we leave the area."

The ocean wave melted and swarmed the boat, pushing it north. The girl turned to Rapunzel and suggested that she heal her wounds as well. Rapunzel allowed some tears on her feet and they healed her.

When the boat finally stopped, the girl went over to the ocean wave and they high-fived. It was amazing that this girl had a bond with it. Was it her magic? Something else?

The rooster darted towards the sea when the girl snatched him away. "It's okay, Hei Hei. They're not going to hurt us—they just saved Pua. Please don't run off again."

Olaf bowed his head. "Is he trying to get away from me?"

"No, it's his habit," the girl replied. She stared at Olaf, holding her breath in awe. "What are you?"

"He's a snowman," Rapunzel clarified.

"What's a snowman?"

After Rapunzel explained to her what snow was, the girl nodded in realization. "And snow melts when it's warm out."

"Really? How is he not melting?" The girl quickly glanced over to him. "No, I—I'm glad that you're not melting! It's just that I've never seen a snowman before and I have to know. How did you become so alive?"

"He was made from light magic," Rapunzel explained. "For a while, he used to have his own flurry so he wouldn't melt."

"Did you make him?"

"No, my cousin did."

Olaf broke into a large smile and jumped over to the girl. "I'm Olaf and I like warm hugs! What's your name?"

The girl chuckled. "It's Moana."

"Ooh, I love your name!" Olaf exclaimed. "It's pretty!"

"Thanks," Moana smiled. "It means ocean. My gramma suggested it to my dad when my mom was pregnant with me." Hei Hei went over to Olaf and grabbed one of his coals. He tried to swallow it, but after it went halfway down his throat, he spitted the coal back out. "No, no, Hei Hei. Sorry about that."

Olaf smiled at Hei Hei and Pua. "Are these your friends?" Moana nodded at him. "Hey, you should meet my friends!" He wobbled over to Rapunzel and Pascal. "This is Pascal." Rapunzel's eyes widened as Olaf gestured at her. "And this is—"

"Mandy!" Rapunzel blurted out. She cleared her throat while Olaf turned to her with a perplexed expression. "My name is Mandy."

If only Rapunzel wasn't wanted by the law, she would've been honest. She didn't like lying, but she didn't have a choice.

Moana stood there with a puzzled expression at first. Rapunzel wondered if she caught her lying. Moana shook her head and started to come towards her. "Here you go, Mandy."

Rapunzel held her hand out. "Thank you so much, Moana. You didn't have to go down there and get it for me. You were hurt."

"I've dealt with worse," Moana said. She went over to her with the hairpin in her palm. "Besides, it's very important to you especially since it's from someone you love very much."

Moana was just about to hand the hairpin to Rapunzel when she peered down at it and gasped. Before Rapunzel could ask her, Olaf's eyes widened and he jumped towards her. His head craned towards her neck.

"I love your necklace! It's so pretty!" he chirped. Rapunzel peered at Moana's necklace. It really was beautiful. "Did you make it?"

Moana's hand reached for the blue shell. After a long moment, a smile formed on her face, and a tear streamed down her face. "It was my gramma Tala's," she said softly. She sniffed as she gently wiped away her tear.

That must've been why Moana went down to get the golden flower hairpin for her. Rapunzel had the hairpin from her aunt and uncle just like she had her necklace from her grandmother.

"We were like peas in a pod," Moana said. "We had such a very strong connection. She didn't care what people thought of her. She was always there for me." She gently laid her hand against her heart. "She's still with me."

Rapunzel felt tears forming in her eyes and one streamed down her cheek. "She sounds like a very wonderful person. I know that she is proud of you."

Moana turned to her with a smile. She was just about to reply to her when she spotted something in the ocean.

"What's that?" Olaf asked.

When Rapunzel glanced over her shoulder, she saw a diamond-shaped figure was coming towards them. At first, she couldn't recognize it, until its back broke the surface revealing itself to be a manta ray.

Moana smiled and tears formed in her eyes as she slowly went towards the water. She bent down and lay her hand out. The manta ray slowly swam around the boat. Moana's hand brushed against the manta ray's back.

The manta ray then spun around the boat three times. After the third time, the manta ray leaped out of the ocean and onto the boat. It then changed into the spirit of an elderly woman.

The elderly woman smiled. "I'm glad to see you past the reef again."

Tears formed in Moana's eyes and she rushed over to the elderly woman. She cried as they embraced in each other's arms.

"Hi, Gramma," Moana said softly. "I'm so happy to see you."

Rapunzel froze and swore that she felt tears in the corner of her eyes. The sight of this grandmother and her granddaughter embracing heartened her and it reminded her of when she finally embraced with her real parents.

A large smile came on Olaf's face and he hopped over to Tala and Moana. "Hi, there! Nice to meet you!" Moana and Tala broke their embrace and turned to him. "I'm Olaf and I like warm hugs!"

"Oh, Gramma," Moana began, "I would like to introduce you to someone." Rapunzel froze as she watched Moana introduce them to her gramma. "They saved Pua and she saved my life!"

Tala peered over at Rapunzel with a smile. "I always knew that there were good people beyond the reef, especially someone as kind as you."

Rapunzel felt her features form into a smile. She wondered if Tala knew her true identity and where she came from. "Thank you. Your granddaughter saved us too. We would be dead if it hadn't been for her."

"She's beautiful inside and out." Tala smiled. "She has always been a special person and I knew that she had it in her to save her people and the sea and now, she saved you." Moana smiled behind her grandmother.

"Gramma," Moana said, holding out her hand to her. "When I was saving Mandy, I found this. Is this the sundrop flower?" Rapunzel quietly gasped. Did she know about the flower? "The same one that you told me about?"

Tala peered down at the hairpin in surprise. "It is!" Curiosity rose within Rapunzel as Tala peered over at her. "Have you seen this flower before?"

"Yes," Rapunzel confirmed. As long as she didn't give away her real name, she should be fine. "I have seen the sundrop flower. I've even used it."

"That must be how you healed me," Moana speculated. "You must've taken some of its magic when you used it."

"How do you know about the flower?" Rapunzel asked, stepping forward.

Pascal and Olaf locked eyes on each other before they turned their gaze back to Tala. Some of Rapunzel's hair blew in her face and she used her hand to hold it back.

"Over a thousand years ago," Tala began, "our ancestors first discovered Motunui and declared it to be their home. Chief Kawai and his bride, Aroha, discovered the Sundrop flower deep within the island and used it to heal his injured younger brother, Liko. Since then, the flower was used to heal the sick and injured until Zhan Tiri came to the island." Rapunzel let out a small gasp. Zhan Tiri was associated with Moana's Island. "She demanded Chief Kawai to hand the flower to her which he refused and she placed a curse on Montunui and all of the Pacific Islands, casting them all in a violent blizzard." That reminded Rapunzel of that snowstorm in Corona all those years ago when her parents put her in charge while they were away. "Then, one day, Lord Demanitus confronted Zhan Tiri and they declared war. Maui and the Kumandra dragons joined Demanitus as they fought against Zhan Tiri and her army.

"For years, they fought with each other. Zhan Tiri was winning the war until King Anselm discovered the war between them. He and his army came in and helped Maui and the Kumandra dragons win the war. The curse was then lifted from the islands and Zhan Tiri never returned and went back to Corona."

Rapunzel couldn't believe what she had just heard. She had no idea that Zhan Tiri had been a threat anywhere outside of Corona. The war must've gone on between the time the Zhan Tiri betrayed Demantuis and before he banished her.

"I had no idea this happened," Rapunzel said in awe. She should tell Eugene about it when she saw him again. "What a story!"

"I told this story to the young children once and they burst into tears," Tala recalled. "My son was cross with me for telling them. I told Moana about it two years ago, right on her fourteenth birthday."

"Have either of you seen the flower before?"

"I searched for it," Tala began, "but I've never found it."

"I've never seen one," Moana answered. "Oh, Gramma, I've been meaning to ask you this for a while. What happened to the flower?"

"No one knows," Tala answered. "Many believe that it was destroyed during the curse, though there was a rumor that someone had taken it."

"At one time when I was sailing to find Maui and before I found Hei Hei on my boat," Moana recalled, "the water showed me a glimpse of the flower and I realized that it was the same flower that you talked about, but the image faded away and I've never seen anything more about it."

A perplexed expression came on Rapunzel's features. She suddenly recalled the image of Honeymaren, Ryder, and the reindeer earlier. "You saw something in the water too?" Moana nodded. "Oh my gosh! The water showed me something earlier too! How is this possible?"

"Water has memory," Tala explained. "It can show us the past and sometimes even potential futures."

"Ooh," Olaf exclaimed. His face was filled with excitement. "I didn't know that!" He turned to Rapunzel and tugged on her dress. "Did you know that?"

Rapunzel shook her head. "I didn't."

So, what she saw with Honeymaren and Ryder was either a memory from the past or something that could happen in the future. If only she knew where they were at, she could help them.

"Neither did I," Moana answered. She peered back over at her gramma. She came over to her and they embraced again.

"You always make me proud, Moana," Tala smiled. "I'll come back soon."

A tear came in the corner of Rapunzel's eyes. She loved seeing them together and it made her wish that she had met her grandparents.

Olaf wobbled over to Tala and asked, "How can you turn into a—what are those called?"

"Manta ray," Tala answered with a smile. "I knew that I would come back as one when I died. Looks like I chose the right tattoo."

Olaf glanced over to Moana. "So, you're a manta ray too?"

Everyone burst into laughter and Moana gave her gramma one last hug. "It's so good to see you, Gramma."

Tala smiled and she went towards the end of the boat. "I'll help guide you, Moana."

Tala then transformed back into an illuminated manta ray and went back into the water. As soon as Tala's back hit the surface, the illumination went away and she faded back into a regular manta ray. Tala swam farther north and Moana picked up her oar and followed her.

While Moana sailed, Rapunzel's body started feeling weak, but she still stood and rubbed her eyes. Her throat was dry, but she ignored it. All she could think about was what she had just learned from Tala about Zhan Tiri and Moana's island. Had Xavier heard about this too? When she returned to Corona, she should ask him.

After Moana put her oar down, Pua raced over to her, knocking her head. She laughed and placed him in her arms. She hugged Pua close as she peered up at Rapunzel. "Thank you for saving Pua. You have no idea how much it means to me."

"How did you two get separated?" Rapunzel asked. "What happened?"

"We had just reached the channel when we got caught in a riptide," Moana explained. "The waves were so bad that Hei Hei fell overboard. I dove in to save him and the waves drifted the boat away so we had to swim after it. When we finally got back to the boat, Pua was gone. He must've fallen overboard while I was saving Hei Hei and Ocean must've brought him on the rocks to wait for me. I was searching all over for him. What happened to your basket?"

While Rapunzel explained to her from when they lost their hot air balloon to saving Pua, her head was pounding and she felt dizzy. "And that was when we saw you coming—"

Without warning, Rapunzel collapsed to the ground. Her eyes became blurry as she watched Moana, Olaf, and Pascal rush over to her. She blinked before she lifted her head.

"Oh my god!" Moana shouted. "Are you okay?"

"You're not hurt, are you?" Olaf asked with a frightened expression. "You're going to be okay, right?"

Rapunzel slowly lifted her body. "I'll be fine, I promise."

"Is that what happens when you don't drink water or sleep for a while?" Olaf asked. "I knew that you should've had some water too!"

"You're dehydrated?!" Moana asked with widened eyes. "Why didn't you say so?!"

Moana quickly grabbed Hei Hei and rushed over to the cargo hold. After she put him in it and sternly told him to stay, she pulled something out and rushed over to Rapunzel. She bent down to her and brought a canteen close to her face.

"Here, have some water. You need it."

The word of water felt like music to her ears. Rapunzel lifted her head and placed her lips on the canteen. The water pouring down her dry throat was refreshing. The fresh taste of cold water danced atop her taste buds, making her feel like she had just tasted water for the first time. She almost shivered as the water ran down her mouth and her throat.

After Rapunzel finished drinking, Moana gently took the canteen away from her face and asked, "Is there anything else that you need?" Rapunzel shook her head. She was feeling a little better, but she still needed sleep.

Olaf wobbled over and plopped down. "It's your turn now! You need to sleep now!"

"You didn't sleep either?" Moana asked. "Why?"

"She wanted to keep watch," Olaf explained. Pascal nodded. "She wasn't planning on sleeping until we found land. She hasn't slept in a couple of days! Or was it more than that?"

"Gosh," Moana commented. Rapunzel was just about to lift herself from the ground when Moana's eyes widened and she blocked her. "What are you doing?"

Rapunzel rubbed her eyes. "I'll help keep watch. I'll—"

"No, I will keep watch," Moana began. "You are going to get some sleep. You need to get your strength back, Mandy."

Olaf turned to her. "How are you going to help us find land? Are you coming with us? Did you find us a new basket?"

"I'll drop you guys off," Moana declared. "I was on my way somewhere anyway."

Olaf cheered and wrapped his arms around her. "Oh, thank you! Thank you! Thank you!"

A smile came on Rapunzel's face. "That is very kind of you, Moana. You don't have to—"

"You don't need to thank me," Moana said. "It's the least I can do after you saved Pua and healed me. And if you hadn't done either of those, I still would've helped you."

It was so kind of her to help them. There must be something that Rapunzel could do. "What do you want me to—"

"Get some sleep," Moana insisted. "You deserve a break." She grabbed a blanket and wrapped it around Rapunzel. "Now go to sleep."

Rapunzel wrapped the blanket around her as she watched Moana go over towards the ropes. This was comfortable. She turned her body over towards the ocean, feeling relaxed as she listened to the waves. She shut her eyes, feeling the warmth of the blanket around her.

Her eyes opened to the sight of the sunset embracing the calm water. The sun reflected off of the sea like a mirror. The sound of the waves was drowned out by the voices of Moana and Olaf. It sounded like Moana had just finished helping Olaf with his reading and then they started a conversation about Pascal.

After she heard Moana's laugh, Rapunzel turned over. Moana was sitting on the boat across from Olaf while Pascal was sitting on Olaf's lap, changing colors, causing them to laugh. Pua was seated right next to Moana and Hei Hei was trying to peck some seeds, only missing them.

When Moana glanced over her shoulder, she stood up and said, "Wakey wakey. How are you feeling?"

"I feel great." Rapunzel rubbed her eyes. "It's been so long since I slept."

"Do you need more sleep?"

"Not for now." She peered up at the sunset. If only she had her journal or some parchment with her. She would write about it and paint a portrait of it. "How long have I been asleep?"

"Almost a whole day," Moana answered. "Did you sleep well?" Rapunzel nodded. "Do you need me to get you anything?" Rapunzel shook her head. "You should get some food inside you and drink some water."

"Not saltwater," Olaf said. "It's bad for you!"

Moana turned to him with a chuckle. "Yes, it is, Olaf. Don't worry, I've never packed any saltwater with me. Ocean wouldn't even let me drink salt water if I tried." She glanced over to the ocean. "Would you?"

The ocean moved like it was shaking its head. It was incredible that Moana seemed to have some connection with it.

"How did you do that?" Rapunzel wondered aloud.

Moana glanced over her shoulder. "What are you talking about?"

"What I meant was how do you control it?"

"The ocean is a friend of mine," Moana answered. "It chose me to save Te Fiti."

Rapunzel gasped. "That's right. I've heard about Te Fiti! I've read so many books about her and Te Ka! I hope Maui or someone restores her heart."

"Someone has," Moana said. "That was me."

Rapunzel's eyes widened. "Really? How?"

"Ooh, ooh!" Olaf exclaimed. "Can you tell us all about it?"

Rapunzel, Olaf, and Pascal remained still as Moana told them all about her adventure starting from how it all started to her finally returning to her island where she became Chief. As Rapunzel listened, she wished that she could tell Moana about her past. There was so much that she wanted to talk to her about yet she was wanted from the law and had no choice but to keep quiet.

"Since then," Moana continued, "My people and I have been sailing across the sea."

"Oh, you're a Queen!" Olaf beamed. His face fell as a thought occurred to him. "Wait, why aren't you with your people."

Moana's hands started to reach for her hair. "First, I'm not a queen, I am the Chief of Motunui."

Olaf sat there with a puzzled expression.

"It's kinda like a queen, Olaf," Rapunzel explained.

"Ah," Olaf nodded. "I get it now."

"If Maui were here," Moana chuckled, putting her curls into a bun on the top of her head. "He would tell me that I'm still a princess because I wear a dress and have animal sidekicks."

Rapunzel peered up in the air. "Have you seen Maui since you both left Te Fiti?"

Moana picked up her oar and dipped it in the ocean. "Sometimes, I see him in the air while I'm sailing with my people."

Olaf peered behind her and his eyes searched all over the sea. "Where are your people? Are you playing hide and seek with them? Did you put them in your pocket?"

This caused everyone else on board to burst out into laughter. Olaf stood there with a perplexed expression. He turned to the ocean who just stared at him. Everyone's laughter died down when Olaf glanced back at them.

"What did I do?" Olaf asked.

"Nothing," Moana answered. "I just thought that it was cute when you asked about my pocket." Her smile faded away. "My people are fine. Or, at least I hope they are."

Rapunzel's face fell. "I thought that you said that you saved Motunui?"

"I did," Moana replied, moving her oar in the water.

"What aren't you with them? What happened?"

"I was out at sea with some of my people, teaching them wayfinding. We were on our way back when two boats from our island came to us and told us that someone was spying on Motunui. Thankfully, no one was hurt, but the spy escaped. At first, I thought that it was that parrot, Betsey, until they said that it wasn't a parrot. I asked if they knew who it was and they told me that they didn't get a clear look at them. I decided that we should return home, so we did.

When we came back, we heard that my dad and my people found that some of our food was stolen and one of the boats was missing. My mom and one of the villagers, Aleyne, asked me if we saw Aleyne's two teenage sons, Aolani and Luano. After we searched the island and couldn't find them, we thought that the spy had to kidnap them until Maui arrived and told us that he had seen them sailing on the sea. He said that they told him about what happened and that they had left the island to find the spy. He tried to convince them to go back, but they wouldn't listen. Aolani and Luano must've taken the boat and left sometime after my people left to find me."

"Why did Maui want those two boys to go back?" Olaf asked, wobbling towards her. "Wouldn't he want them to help find the spy?"

"Aolani and Luano are still learning how to sail," Moana explained. She put the oar back on the boat before she continued. "I had to go find them. I wanted everyone to come with me, but Aleyne and some of the villagers were afraid that if we all left the island, either Aolani and Luano would come back and everyone would be gone, or someone might try to take our island as their own. For that reason, I decided that I would go find them on my own."

Rapunzel placed her hands on her lap. "If only we've seen them. We would've told you. That is a very brave and kind thing for you to do, Moana. I know that your people are proud of you. Were they afraid when you decided to leave the island?"

"My dad didn't want me to go," Moana admitted, "because I'm the Chief and his daughter. He's open with me going to the ocean, but he's still hesitant with me going to new places without experience."

Rapunzel's eyes dimmed. It reminded her of how overprotective her father was when she came home. She didn't want to think about how her parents would feel about her run from the law. Would they feel like they hadn't protected her enough?

Moana grabbed some rope and started to tie a sailing knot. "So, where were you going when you were in your hot air balloon? Was there any particular place that you were going to?"

Rapunzel felt a sick feeling in her stomach, but she couldn't just ignore her; it could lead to suspicion. "No, I was just traveling around the world. I've never flown in a hot air balloon before and always wanted to ride in one."

Moana peered up at her. "Would you mind if we go to Celeptois? That's where Aolani and Luano were heading."

Rapunzel nodded. "Yes, we can go there." As soon as they arrived in that country and found those two boys, Rapunzel, and her group would part ways with Moana. Her heart thudded when she recalled Henry warning her to avoid cities. When she saw that Pascal turned to her, she could tell that he was thinking the same thing. "Is it a city?"

After she finished a sailing knot, Moana rose, peering down at her. "I don't know. I've never been there before. Why?"

"I was just curious," Rapunzel said. "I don't care for cities. They make me nervous."

Olaf glanced at Rapunzel. "Are we going to have to get more supplies since we lost ours?"

Rapunzel had forgotten all about the supplies that they'd lost in the balloon basket. "Yes, we have to." Now how they were going to pay for the supplies, she had no idea. She was hopeful that she would find another way to get supplies without stealing.

"I think that it would be a good idea," Moana agreed. Hei Hei was just about to step into the ocean when she grabbed him. "Who knows how long it would be before you find somewhere to shop? I'm sure that there'll be a market there somewhere. Maybe Aolani and Luano found one? If they did, they could show you."

Rapunzel glanced over her shoulder at the horizon. "How long do you think it'll be before we get there?"

Moana bent down to pick up her oar again. "A few weeks. Is that okay with you?"

"It'll be perfect," Rapunzel answered.

Although they would be out on the sea for a bit, it would mean that they could avoid running into anyone from Mirahton. By the time they landed, it would be fall. A weak smile formed on Rapunzel's face as Olaf talked to Moana in the background. For now, they were safe. But what about when they landed in Celeptois?

She remembered overhearing the Duke mention Celeptois at Elsa's coronation shortly before she saw Anna come in with Hans to ask Elsa to bless their marriage, but she had yet to learn any more about it. If it was out in the country, they would be safe, but if it was a city, then they might be in trouble.

Footsteps came over to her and Rapunzel peered up to see Moana standing above her. "Do you need help with anything, Moana?"

"I'm fine for now," Moana replied. "After we find Aolani and Luano, is there anywhere that you want us to take you? I could sail to your destination."

Rapunzel wished that she could allow her to take her home to Corona, but her run from the law hurt her chances. The longer they stayed with her, the more likely Moana could get arrested for helping her. They could run into one of Mirahton's ships or someone could spot them and report them. Moana was already at risk by being with them right now.

"That is very kind of you," Rapunzel said. "But we'll get off at Celeptois. We'll help you find your friends and then we'll leave."

"You can come with us if you want," Moana offered. "We can take you back to Motunui and you can stay as long as you want. You can even live there."

She appreciated the offer, but she couldn't. If she allowed Moana to take them to her island, someone could come, find her, and then the entire island could get in trouble for sheltering her. Or someone would turn her in. She doubted Moana would, but Rapunzel wasn't sure about Moana's father from what she had heard of him.

Rapunzel smiled before her eyes dimmed. "Thank you but we can't. Maybe we can visit Motunui in the future?"

Pua ran over to her smiling and licking her face, causing both girls to laugh. Pua turned to Moana and she petted him. When she peered down at Rapunzel, her face fell.

"Are you alright?" she asked, sitting beside her. "Is something going on?"

Oh no. She wasn't suspecting something, was she? Rapunzel shook her head and heard a small chuckle come right out of her mouth.

"I'm fine," she laughed. "We just have a lot going on with our travels."

Moana seemed doubtful and concerned at the same time. "If something's going on, you can tell me. I could help you."

Be careful who you trust. She wanted to tell her what had happened to her, but she still didn't know her very well and couldn't risk her getting in trouble. At the same time, Moana already did so much for them and Rapunzel didn't want to lie to her.

Rapunzel tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and gave Moana the best response that she could think of. "I have been through a traumatic experience and I'm not ready to talk about it. When I am, I'll tell you."

After a long moment, Moana pushed to her feet with Pua in her arms, nodding down at her. Rapunzel couldn't tell if she believed her or not, but either way, she knew that Moana understood.

After Olaf asked Moana something, she turned, put down Pua, and went over to him. Rapunzel peered down at her lap where Pascal laid. Rapunzel held him close and stared out into the horizon with the calm waves dancing underneath.

"I know, Pascal," she whispered. "I wish that I could tell her."

Author's Note: Remember in the beginning of "Frozen 2" when Iduna sang the lullaby about Ahtohallan to Anna and Elsa? That is the same lullaby that Rapunzel sang to Olaf and Pascal in this chapter.
