Heavily inspired by a Persona 5 fan comic by 'goro_orb' – to the point where this is basically just an Art of Fighting-themed version of that.

Robert and Yuri had been together for a couple years now; despite father Takuma's better insight, the duo had tied the knot not too long ago.

It took a while for the patriarch to accept that his little girl was starting to have more of a life outside of the realm of Kyokugenryu – and even then, the Sakazaki-Garcia marriage wasn't going to be without its share of ultimatums.

One day, Robert visited the Sakazaki dojo, only to find no one inside – but there was a note left for him.

"Ryo and I are leaving the dojo to you for the weekend. I want a grandchild by the end of the year." ~ Takuma

Suddenly, there was a metaphorical weight of responsibility dropped onto Robert's lap that was heavier than anything his own family and business had ever given him.

"Wait, you wanna do what?"
The note got back to Yuri not long after that.

"I mean, c-cool, but..." she stammered. "I can't right now – I'm in the middle of a game!"
Yuri was knee-deep in her PlayStation escapades – on the off-hours away from fitness and responsibility, she was in full 'gamer mode' for up to hours on end.
Perhaps far too occupied to 'make a family' at the moment.

"Care to make a bet, then? I know how much you like to get competitive about things..."

"Damn, Robbie – you really do get me, do ya?"

"That's the girl I married. How about I let you make the rules this time?"
"Hehe, alright then~~ next time I die in this game, I drop the controller and my pants, and you slam me pregnant."
"I can get behind that."
"Gonna be a little while before you 'do', Robbie."

It just so happened that Yuri was starting to get into Sekiro on this particular session. Little did she know, however, just how unforgiving FromSoftware games had a tendency to be.

Within minutes, the character she was playing embraced 'DEATH'.

As she promised (though not without a bit of silent realization), she dropped the controller and started to undo her pants.
"Welp – a bet's a bet..."

The 'process' was as passionate as you would expect from the karate-skilled duo.

Plap-plap-plap-plap-plap-plap...
"Hnn-aaa~! Y-you're s-s-so deep, Robbie!"
Slapplapplapplapplapplapplap...!
"O-okay, do it! Do it, gimme your babies...!"

Shadows may 'die twice' – but god knows how many times the couple had to mate like heated monkeys in order to succeed...

A couple weeks later...

Yuri and Robert were arriving a little bit late to the family meetup later in the month – and for an understandable reason.

As soon as they strolled up to the dining room table, Yuri slammed something down, briefly catching the attention of both her father and brother.

A pregnancy test. Positive.

"Preggers," she proclaimed.

Though Yuri's awkward smile was one to examine on its own, it was nothing compared to Robert's expression of subtle accomplishment.
The grin on him was a lot more smug, as though to prove how quickly he'd cleared the old man's objective – the ultimatum was only given a couple weeks ago, after all.

Ryo was as silent and as still as a dragon statue, and all the while, though Takuma had almost a similar reaction of stunned silence, he was facially more subdued because of his inner most deep thoughts.

The man formerly known as Mr. Karate surely knew one thing – it may not have gone in the direction he planned years ago, but his well-crafted world of Kyokugenryu Karate was truly about to extend to another generation.

He couldn't have felt more accomplished if he tried.

I actually contemplated making this its own separate post from SNS because I felt it was a bit too normal compared to some of the other chapters, but I decided to just drop it here anyway because it definitely still fit the quota of 'somewhere beneath 1K words'.
