He didn't know how long his own torture went. He had snuck onto the floor every night in hopes to help her in some way or find out how. His heart almost broke for the thing. Hormones enclosed for years finally being released once every week seemed frightening. Once a day he sat at the door listening to her cries of help but always fought with himself to stay away - for her sake. It broke him. With a breath, he forced himself to take the next step.

"Please," Kaylee begged pitifully as the door opened, casting a shadow over the figure who entered.

The figure stood there - silent. The intoxicating scent of an omega in heat drove him here and then he heard the soft whines just outside the door.

"Someone help me!" the omega cried out into the night. She was sweating so much, her beta friends had to bring her a case of water every 2 hours - but still, he stayed away. Kaylee knew she would have to face an alpha at some point to just help her.

As the figure stood in the doorway to her room, the glint of the light behind him reflected his metal arm. Even though his face was shadowed, she knew their eyes locked in place for a heartbeat. "Help me please!" she panted.

The man with the metal arm only took one step closer like he was hesitating but the omega still caught the scent of his alpha stench, making her mind spin. He got closer and sat beside her. Kaylee was shaking, panting as she looked up to him. His warmth surrounded her and she quickly curled around him.

"You know I can't help you the way you need it," the alpha muttered. "Not when you're so vulnerable like this." His voice seemed to calm her down. It took every fiber of his being to not treat the thing the way her biology needed. Another pitiful whine called to his alpha heart. "Kaylee, your pupils are blown so wide. I'm not going to do what you want me to."

"I'm not asking for you to do anything!" Kaylee panted, another wave of cold sweat and hormones coming. "Just to touch me!" she begged, a whine at the back of her throat. Scared? She was petrified of this. The only reason she hated being an omega - vulnerability. She quickly learned about this when she tried to run away.

"Bucky, please."

The alpha stared at the omega. The first time she has used his nickname during her heat? He knew it probably was just a ruse for him to do something but he just couldn't do anything past touching her. He sighed, taking off his boots, and moved to lay down. He didn't know what else to do besides this.

Kaylee was still under the covers as she pulled herself close to him. Almost instantly, the former assassin wrapped his cold, metal arm around her. It cooled her off just a tad as his body was giving off a ton of heat. For once, Kaylee didn't care that he was around her. None of the betas wanted to help and obviously, none of the alphas would either - they didn't want to do anything.

She soon stopped shaking as her heat started to calm down just a bit and her mind cleared. Why did the Soldier come in here? Kaylee tilted her head up to see the man sleeping but his grip around her waist was tight. She swallowed hard and closed her eyes, pressing herself so close to the alpha once more as the wave left her tired.

A hand pressing down on her shoulder told her something was wrong - even half asleep. Her mind was awake but not her body. She heard a growl and the warmth of something above her. She grunted once, trying to curl back on her side when the hand pressed down harder.

"Wake up," someone cooed - a man. He sounded gruff and smelled of arousal.

Alpha, Kaylee thought and opened her eyes. The assassin was above her! "What are you doing?" She asked lazily, staring up at him. She was barely awake, not realizing what he was doing or what he wanted.

All the alpha did was grin before he grabbed the omega's arms, pinning them above her with his flesh hand. Kaylee flinched and stared up at him in alarm. She shook her head no, speechless at the sudden move. She was still foggy in the head.

"Don't make," he started, a low growl coming from the back of his throat as she felt his metal hand pull her hospital gown up. "A sound."

"Please don't do this," she whispered, finally looking up at him. "You can't do this to me."

The alpha chuckled, his eyes glowing red. "Dear omega," he whispered, tracing his metal finger down her cheek to her lips, down further. "You're mine!"

"No!" Kaylee screamed awake, bolting up from where she laid soaked in her own sweat.

Immediately, the door opened. She flinched in fear, turning to the other side. The omega began to shake. "Please don't hurt me," she cried.

"Shh," the person cooed to her, walking to her calmly. "It's ok Kaylee."

She slowly turned to see who came in, relaxing a little bit. "Steve?"

The blond smiled at her. "You're okay, Kaylee. You're safe."

She looked around. He was here, wasn't he? She thought. The Soldier was gone.

Steve watched her relax, stepping off a bit. Then he smelled a faint trace of his friend. Bucky wasn't allowed on this floor so he wondered how he got through. Half tempted to say something, he turned back to the omega as she started laying back down.

"What happened?" he asked.

Kaylee shook her head. "It was just a bad dream."

Steve frowned, sitting in the chair across from her. The stench of heat had died down for once in 13 days. It was the longest heat he has known of for any omega. Each day she was almost forced to drink water and eat. Bruce started her on pills for what seemed like hundreds of things just to help her body and mind.

"How are you feeling?" he pressed.

"I'm okay," Kaylee answered in half a whisper. She was exhausted, truly. Either spending her nights whining uncontrollably or restless sleep. The bags under her eyes made her look sicker than she actually was. "When is it gonna stop, Steve?"

The beta looked away. "I'm not sure, Kaylee. You've been at this for a long time."

She let out an exhausted sigh. She was in pain. "Make it stop," she whined.

Steve swallowed hard. "I can't help you, Kaylee. It won't help you."

Kaylee rolled onto her back, staring at the ceiling. For once she felt like she could think.

"Thank you for saving me," she whispered. "From those alphas."

Steve sighed, leaning forward some. "That wasn't me, kid." he started.

"Then who-"

"It was Bucky," Steve said. "If it wasn't for his quick thinking, you'd probably be gone."

Kaylee frowned, immediately taking her thanks back. She only did originally because it was the nice thing to do. Why would he save me though? A million reasons raced through her head that only scared her - besides one.

Steve sat with her in silence for a few moments, watching her body language for anything that would allow him to figure out how Bucky got in. It's been rough on his friend, having a few moments of rage in their small apartment they shared.

"I don't remember him leaving the apartment last night," he said after a few minutes. "How did he get in here?"

Kayle frowned. "I don't know what you're talking about," she muttered. "How did you know about my dream?"

Steve looked up at her. "Kaylee, I can smell him. He was here."

The omega stared at the beta in fear. "Impossible," she whispered. "He- he wouldn't. Tony-"

"Ok, calm down," Steve said. "I just know he was in here. Don't you smell him?"

"I haven't been able to smell properly for weeks, Steve." There was a pause. "How did he save me?"

"Well," Steve started. "He was the first one out of the building. We all looked for you nearly two hours after that."

Kaylee looked away. She barely remembered her 'rescue'. The scents of the attackers washed over her that night, her memory became foggy.

Intensely, she listened to Steve give her the gist of what happened but nothing jogged her memory about it, except seeing the Soldier kill once more.

"I know you hate him," Steve started again, bringing Kaylee back from her memories. "But, your thanks needs to be with him."

"I'm not going to say a word to him!" Kaylee snapped. "Didn't you see how he lunged at me the other day?"

"You're in a heat around an alpha for goodness sakes!" Steve glared. "What did you think would happen?"

Kaylee looked away. "Alpha's should be able to control themselves," she sneered. "It's your fault he is here. It's your fault, Steve."

Steve swallowed hard, standing up slowly. "He's my best friend, Kay. I couldn't just leave him in a cell."

"He's dangerous!"

"We are all dangerous in our own way! We choose not to be or we fight not to be. Like him!"

Once more, the omega fell silent. How he came in last night, he was calm and - did he do something? Like he did with my friends?

"What do you want from me?" Kaylee looked up at Steve, not noticing he made his way to the door.

"You're hurting. He's hurting. I think a 'thank you' from you would close some tension."

"Fine. After this is over."

Tada?

I've had the first part about Bucky coming in and the bad dream written for MONTHS now. Just wait for the next 2 chapters. It's gonna be good and emotional (hopefully).
