Chapter 5: It's Your Fault
Lynn Sr was cooped up in his room thinking about what he had said to his daughters.
Lynn Sr was raised as a kid to be obedient and stern, and once he had Lori he thought that he would set her straight in the future. And that went with all of his kids too.
But Lynn Sr didn't think it would go this far.
He had known his daughter to be a bit on the ruthless side, and tended to know Lincoln could sometimes be more or less the same. But he didn't know that it would get the best of Lincoln. And now here he is, sitting in his dark bedroom, alone, thinking about his lost son. He wasn't sure on how or why Lincoln exactly left, but he was certain that it had something to do with sibling rivalry. And with all of this in his mind, he now knew what he was gonna do.
He was gonna find Lincoln.
As Lynn Sr got up from his bed, he decided on getting a drink. Since his throat was parched. But as soon as he stood up, he heard the sound of a door opening.
"Oh dear, that could be Rita!" Lynn Sr thought to himself.
Just then, he heard the sound of a female voice entering the living room.
That was Rita.
Lynn Sr feared for the worst. He feared that Rita would come in the bedroom and that could escalate Lynn Sr to tell Rita about Lincoln, and Lynn Sr couldn't do that. Not to his own wife.
But he then heard the sounds of low pairs of footsteps trailing down the steps.
Those were his kids.
Lynn Sr was practically having a heart attack at this point. Now he feared his kids were gonna tell their mother about Lincoln, since they did the same thing to him.
But then Lynn Sr thought for a moment. He thought about what he was facing. He then relaxed his muscles and thought to himself.
Because his daughters were going to their mother and since they did the same to their father, it would only make sense that they told their mother themselves. It was their fault that Lincoln moved away, so why not they take responsibility for their actions? It only seems fair.
That's when Lynn Sr heard the words that he was still fearing for.
"We made Lincoln run away."
His heart practically dropped as Lori said those words that he heard not too long ago. He knew that Lori always took up for her sisters and that she was very prepared for any situation. But she certainly was not prepared for this situation.
Rita blinked a few times before saying, "W-what now?"
Just like their dad, the sisters tensed up upon hearing those words. But they had no other choice. They had to tell their mother.
"W-we made Lincoln run away Mom." Luna shakily said.
Rita was in shock at was she was hearing. Sad would've been a big understatement. He was very sad. But she also felt another emotion. She wasn't sure why, but she had three feelings going on at one time.
Sadness, Anger, and Hatred.
She really couldn't believe what she was even hearing. She thought that these 10 girls that were right in front of her were her daughters, but after seeing what they told her and what she witnessed, she wasn't too sure anymore.
"H-how c-could youuuuu?" Rita said through tears.
No one could really say anything at the moment. No one didn't feel like talking. The only person that said anything was Rita. And Lily, except she was crying as well, probably because her mom was crying as well.
Every sisters hearts ached as Rita kept crying and crying. They knew what they all did. They knew that for quite some time now. It hadn't even been a day and they were already regretting their decisions. Once all was said and done Rita was able to speak again, albeit still sniffing here and there.
"I really c-can't believe you girls! You d-didn't need to run Lincoln off! And now, because of what happened Lincoln could be dead! He could be dead and none of you would've even know! He could be dead! HE COULD BE DEAD!!!"
Rita then started to cry through angry tears. She was very very pissed at her daughters. She wasn't sure why in the world they would even think about doing something so heinous. So bad. So discreet. She didn't want none of it, that's for sure.
Luan tried to reach an arm to comfort Rita, but she just slapped it away.
"DON'T TOUCH ME LUAN!" Rita retorted. "NONE OF YOU EVER COME NEAR ME! NONE OF YOU EVER TALK TO ME! And as far as I'm concerned, IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT! IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT! IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT!!!"
Rita ran into her bedroom to cry, while all the sisters were left by themselves. Reminiscing on what just unfolded in front of them.
"Dudes, we just made a big mistake!" Luna said.
"Yeah, if we weren't so dense, none of this would've happened!" Luan said.
"And because of me, Linky won't come back home anymore!" Lola said, with a hint of tears forming in her eyes.
"No Lola, if anyone has to blame, it's me. I'm the one that always bullies or teases Lincoln. It should be me who should take the blame for all of this" Lynn said.
"Guys please!" Lori stated. "It's all our fault. It's all our fault that Lincoln ran away. But we can fix that!"
"How?" They all said in confusion.
"Come with me. I have an idea" Lori proudly said.
Now this intrigued the sisters. They had to know what Lori was going on about. So they all ran up to Lori and Leni's room to see what the idea was.
And they wanted to know anything if it meant getting their only brother back.
[A/N: Another chapter done. I want to apologize on the lack of a chapter 5 for the past few weeks or so. I've been seriously grinding on Super Mario Odyssey speedrunning (and currently have a 1:18:42) and yes, I will still be speedrunning the game. But I will make sure to upload chapter 6 soon. Since school is starting soon for me, I want to pump out a few more chapters before I go to school, and then I'll have to see what will come of this story once school starts. But yeah, chapter 6 will be discussing more on Lincoln and Ronnie Anne's relationship and of course, we'll see how the sisters will try to bring their brother back, as well as Lynn Sr too! But that's all I have for today, thank you all so much for the reviews and favorites I can't appreciate you all enough! Have a safe day and take care everyone! Bye!
