Chapter 8: The Good Ol' Days

It was the middle of the day, and Lincoln and Ronnie Anne were at the Burpin Burger grabbing a bite to eat. Lincoln ordered the Burpin Burger Deluxe with a side of fries and a chocolate milkshake to drink, while Ronnie Anne selected more of the same, expect she ordered Mac N cheese instead of fries.

"Hey Ronnie Anne?" Lincoln asked.

"Yeah?" Ronnie Anne replied.

"Y'know, since I do have a milkshake and you don't have one...I was wondering if you like to-"

"Are you asking me to share your milkshake with me?" Ronnie Anne interrupted Lincoln with a slight smirk on her face.

"Yeah." Lincoln said in defeat.

"Hey, don't be sad. I'd be happy to share your milkshake."

"Really?" Lincoln asked.

"Of course!" Ronnie Anne exclaimed

Lincoln then placed the beverage in between him and Ronnie Anne and placed 2 red colored straws on each side of the shake.

Lincoln took quick glances at Ronnie Anne to see if she was going to take a sip first.

Ronnie Anne was doing the same.

Eventually both Ronnie Anne and Lincoln caught each other's eyes for a moment, before they quickly looked away blushing.

"So..." Lincoln started.

"So..." Ronnie Anne also started.

"I'll take the first sip." Ronnie Anne said.

As she was, Lincoln was nervously looking back and forth between the shake and Ronnie Anne in hopes that she'll enjoy the shake.

slurp*

"Mmmm..." Ronnie Anne said. "This is really good Lincoln! Thank you for letting me share this with you!"

"Oh! Uhhh...no problem!" Lincoln said nervously.

"Well, what are you waiting for Linc? Drink up!"

"O-ok." Lincoln stammered while blushing.

As the 2 were enjoying their meal, Lincoln's phone went off.

"Huh?" Lincoln said.

As he picked up his buzzing phone, he noticed that the Caller ID displayed a random phone number. But the only thing that stuck out to him was that the area code was from his area, but Lincoln decided to ignore it.

"Someone bothering ya?" Ronnie Anne asked.

"No.." Lincoln assured. "..It's just some random number calling me, and you know that I don't answer random people."

"Yeah, that's true. By the way, what time is?"

"3:00 PM"

"Oh shoot!" Ronnie Anne exclaimed. "I forgot to teach you how to skateboard!"

"Well that's fine, we can do it right now!"

"No Lincoln, you don't understand. My mom will be home by 4:00 PM, and we might not have enough time to do anything!"

"Ronnie Anne trust me, we'll have time." Lincoln assured Ronnie Anne, putting his hand on her shoulder.

"Are you sure Linc?"

"I'm sure of it."

"Ok...but real quick alright?"

"Got it!"

After this, Ronnie Anne grabbed her skateboard from her backpack and walked over to the skatepark. Lincoln followed suite, not before asking a question.

"Hey Ronnie? Where's my skateboard?"

"Don't worry, we can share mine!"

"Ohhh I see what you did there!" Lincoln remarked. "Thank you Ronnie!"

"No problem Lame-o" Ronnie Anne said with a sincere smile.

Lynn Sr made his way down the highway looking far and wide for his girls. He had been on the road for about an hour now but still couldn't think of where they went.

"C'mon girls, I'm getting worried sick about y'all." Lynn Sr said with worry in his tone.

Lynn Sr was thinking of calling his daughters to try and get their attentions, but refrained on doing it considering, he might come off as to needy. That's when he got an even bigger idea.

He was gonna call Lincoln.

As Lynn Sr pressed the dial button he anticipated the moment in where Lincoln picks up the phone. As each time the phone rung, Lynn Sr's heart rate began to become increasingly rapid, that was until...

Lincoln didn't answer.

Lynn Sr was confused on why his own son didn't answer him. That was until Lynn Sr checked his phone and realized he didn't have Lincoln saved as a contact, so obviously Lincoln wouldn't have known it was him.

"Ahh, at least he knows not to talk to 'strangers'. I sure did raise that boy right haha" Lynn Sr said to himself.

But he still needed to find out where his daughters could be, it wasn't until a little while later that he knew what to do.

That's when an idea clicked in his head. He forgot about the one place that the Loud Family always goes to.

"The Casagrande Household!" Lynn Sr exclaimed.

With this knowledge, Lynn Sr made his way back around Royal Woods In hopes of finding his daughters and maybe even Lincoln.

"Well, that wasn't much help." Lori said with slight defeat in her voice.

"How come nobody, not even Ronnie Anne or Bobby were inside that house? It just doesn't make sense!" Lynn retorted.

"Well maybe there out and about somewhere." Lana suggested.

"Highly doubt it. If I were them, I wouldn't want to roam in these filthy streets!" Lola said with disgust.

"Lola! This is a nice place to be here!" Lori stated.

"Whatever you say in your little fantasy world of yours." Lola repeated with a slight snicker that followed.

"Dudes, Lincoln could be anywhere. Why don't we look for him in the city?" Luna suggested.

"The city?" They all questioned.

"Ewww not the city! I still have scars from last time!" Lori said, showing her marks from where she was trampled in a crowd in the city one time.

"Ooooh." They all said with pain in their voices.

"But if we do go there, there could be the possibility of Lincoln showing up!" Leni suggested.

Everyone started to talk amongst themselves and soon realized that Leni is right and decided to go with her idea.

"Deal!" They all said in unison.

"Great! Wait, I have to change. This teal color is sooo not the 'city' aesthetic. We have to totes go home!" Leni said.

"Leni, you look fine.." Lori assured. "..but we do need to go on ahead and go to the city."

But before anyone could do anything, they heard the faint sound of a car coming. Everyone turned their heads to the car in question and they all couldn't believe who it was.

It was Lynn Sr.

Lynn Sr proceeded to pull into the driveway and slammed the car door shut. Every sister was, to say the least, scared of what their father was gonna do to them.

Lynn Sr stormed up the concrete steps and stood in front of his daughters.

This is where to begins.

Lynn Sr spoke up.

"Listen.." he said in a calm but stern tone. "..I'm not mad, I just want to know why did you all come out here to go find Lincoln without telling me first? I was worried sick about you all. I thought something bad happened to y'all and I just wanted you all to be safe."

Lynn Sr started to tear up a little bit after saying this and the siblings noticed this too.

"Dad.." Lori said. "..we don't hate you, we're actually trying to find Lincoln actually!"

"Wait you guys are finding Lincoln?" Lynn Sr asked.

All the sisters shook their heads yes.

"Oh my gosh! I can't believe it! That's why you guys were out and about! I'm so sorry girls for getting mad at you like that, I'm just very protective of you guys, that's all."

"We understand Dad, we love you." Lori said.

"Aww I love you to girls! Papa Loud is coming with a bear hug for you all!" Lynn Sr said, as he stuck his arms out wide and proceeded to group hug his daughters tightly.

"You know Pops, this is nice and all but aren't we forgetting about something?" Luna asked.

"Oh right! Lincoln! How could I forget? Silly me, hahaha!" Lynn Sr jokingly said.

Everyone sister stared at their dad until he realized the matter of the situation.

"Well what are you all waiting for? Let's go!" Lynn Sr said.

"Yeah!" All the sisters said in unison.

Once every sister was in the car, Lynn Sr started the ignition.

"Say Dad, did you borrow this car from Mr Grouse?" Luan asked.

"I sure did."

"Wow Dad, you gotta give me a break about this! Hahaha get it?" Luan joked.

"Oh I sure did. But can you give me a break with all these jokes? Hahaha." Lynn Sr also joked.

Every sister, minus Luan and Lynn Sr, groaned as the two kept making puns during the car ride to the city.

"Wow Ronnie Anne, I didn't know that skateboarding was so hard." Lincoln said.

"Ah, don't worry about it. I'm a little tired as well. Do you wanna go get something else to eat?" Ronnie Anne suggested.

"I sure do, I'll pay for it this time."

"No, no it's fine. I stole my mom's credit card so we'll be fine."

"Oh you naughty naughty girl!" Lincoln said with a little playful tone in his voice.

After they order their final meal of the day, Lincoln had a thought that was coursing through his head.

"Wait Ronnie, it's past 4:00 PM, don't you think your mom will be mad that your not home?"

"Eh, it's fine. Besides, she was on a trip to Canada for a little while, I'm sure she'll forget." Ronnie Anne assured Lincoln.

"Yeah I guess." Lincoln half-heartily responded.

"So, are you ready to go back home?"

"I sure am!"

"Alright hop on."

"Wait, we're riding back home on your skateboard?" Lincoln asked.

"Well, duh what else am I gonna use as a form of transportation. Now hop on my feet are starting to hurt."

"Oh o-okay." Lincoln stuttered while blushing.

As Lincoln and Ronnie Anne were skateboarding home, Lincoln couldn't help but hug onto Ronnie Anne tight as they cruised in the cool sunny afternoon.
