I woke up from the flashback to find myself in a plane. The plane that Kano was able to arrange with a pilot that he knows. Katie was sleeping beside me, while Cole slept on the opposite side of the seats. Sonya was on his side and noticed me waking up.
"You were quiet, even before you got on this plane. Are you alright?" she asked.
"I'm fine." I answered. "I just thought about needing a rest that's all."
Sonya wasn't sure, but she decided to dismiss it. "Well, we're about somewhere close to the drop point. You better be ready."
I nodded, as it was the perfect time to wake up Katie. Gently, I woke her up, as I unbuckled our seatbelts. When she woke up, she stretched and got on her feet to help her stay awake. "Are we there?"
"Yes, we are." I answered her, as Sonya gave us our parachuting bag.
"We're jumping out of the plane?!" Katie got a little nervous, because we're jumping from above the clouds.
Luckily, Sonya was able to find something that would help Katie. She found some equipment that would attach to us both, so we would jump together. "Don't worry, Katie. We'll jump together."
"You never say anything like this?!"
"I know. I'm sorry, but how we're going to do is this. You'll be in front of me and I'll be behind you. When we get to the point, we'll jump together, pull the chute to and we'll fly down. If you want, you could close your eyes, when we jump."
She nodded her head, before I gave her kiss and we prepared ourselves with the parachute.
"Don't worry, Katie." Sonya assured her. "I'm sure your brother has done this before, but just imagine you have wings. You'll be flying to the ground."
I nodded and looked back at Katie. "Just like that."
We than heard a gasp that came from Cole. He woke up from a dream. Sonya went over to grab another parachute bag for him. While she was doing that, me and Katie approached him.
"Cole, are you okay?" we asked him.
"Yeah... just another dream." Cole answered.
"You sure? Is it a vision like Fiver has?" Katie asked.
Cole sighed a bit and nodded his head. "You could say something like that."
"Hey, you're out of it." Sonya went to him and gave him a parachute bag. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah." Cole took some breaths before he answered.
Kano than came out of the cockpit, with his parachute bag. "All right. Thank you for flying 'Air Kano', I know you had fuck all choices. Afraid time's up. Time to jump out of this shit box."
While he was going off, I attempt to cover Katie's ears, until he stopped cursing. The both of us were lined up to prepare to jump from the plane. While Cole was slowly becoming anxious when the hatch door opens up. The five of us could see the sky as a new day was dawning. Katie was amazed to see the view, however Cole still has his tendencies for jumping out of the plane.
"First time?" Sonya asked him.
"Yeah. What gave it away?" Cole questioned.
"You'll be okay." she assured him. "It's even Katie's first time too."
He turned around and Katie waved at him, before he looked at me. "Don't say it."
I shrugged. "It's not my first. I only did it rarely though. It's really easy though."
"How's that?" he asked.
"You just gotta jump, count to three, and pull this side." Sonya gave him instructions on how to jump from the plane and how to open his parachute.
"And don't worry where you land too." I added. "We'll always find each other to regroup."
Cole seemed to understand it and nodded his head. "Alright. Simple." However, he did have another question, but he was than pushed out of the plane by Kano.
Sonya and I gave him disapproving looks at him. "What?" Kano questioned us.
"You're fucking kidding me." Sonya exclaimed, as Kano blow an air kiss to her, before he leaned out and fall from the plane. It was just me and Katie, and Sonya. "You two want to go?"
"Are you ready, Katie?" I asked my sister. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath, and exhaled.
"I'm ready." she shouted. In flash, I counted to three and than we both jumped from the plane, before Sonya followed suite.
We were descending fast, just as soon, we jumped from the plane. After a few seconds of counting to three, I pulled the pin and the parachute opened up. We than started to glide our descent from the air.
"Katie, your eyes still closed?" I asked her.
"Yes!" she exclaimed.
"If you want, you could open your eyes." I told her.
She than opened her eyes to see as if we're flying. She even had a good view of the sun rising. "We're flying! WE'RE FLYING!" I chuckled from her excitement.
"The hard part is over. Now we're just following the others to the drop point for landing." I told her.
We continued to follow Cole and Kano, as they're about to perform their landings. Soon afterwards, we're next.
"Katie, hang on tight." I instructed her, as we about to land. We than landed a bit smooth on the rocks. After our landing, we unstrap from the parachute bag, just before Sonya made her landing.
After she made her landing and unstrapped from the parachute bag. She asked the three of us, specifically Cole and Katie, if they're alright from the jump and parachute landing. Cole assured to us that he's alright. Katie, on the other hand, was more excited that she wanted to do it again. It even gave the three of us a chuckle.
Kano prepared his GPS equipment that he is carrying and than took the lead, as we followed him. After a few minutes, we were on the hills of a rocky desert. He continues to look at his GPS equipment, as he continues to use as a guide to give us direction to Raiden's Temple.
"How far are we?" Sonya asked him.
"Twenty-seven, twenty-eight K's." Kano answered her, as he continues to use his GPS.
"What?"
"Maybe thirty to be safe. Straight up to thirty-two, eh?" he added.
"Are you sure this is the right way?" Katie asked him.
"Well... we say thirty-five there'll be no surprises." Kano answered her, before he mumbled at his device.
"I don't think he knows where we're going." she whispered to the three of us.
"We'll know soon enough, Kaite." I said to her. "If we're lost, we'll have to take over."
"I wished Fiver is here. He'll be a better guide than Kano." she looked a bit down and thought about Fiver.
I patted her on her shoulder. "Me too. I miss him too."
As the day came from dawn, from the time we landed, to the noon that we we're still aimlessly lost. From the nearly six hours of walking, Kano has always been complaining that he needed a break. We would normally took a short break, before we continue our journey. Until we needed another, and than at one point, Katie was growing a bit tired that she has to stop. Cole and Sonya were mindful for my sister needing a few minutes rest, before Kano attempts to rush her, but I was able to have him back off from her.
When the early afternoon came, Kano was more of a drag. He decided to call for his own break almost every fifteen minutes. "Fuck this, I need a break." He grabbed a big rock and sat on it.
"You just took a break." Cole protested. "Too many beers, huh?
"Good thing, we didn't have to see those drinks, back at Watership Down." Katie recalled.
It was that moment, Cole decided it was time for Kano to step aside and have control over the GPS. "Give me that GPS. I'm taking point."
Kano stopped him. "Na, na, na. Let's look at the scoreboard, shall we?"
"Give away." I crossed my arms and stared at him.
"I got us the plane. I know how to find your... precious little mountain retreat or whatever it is. I killed the-"
"Reptile!" I interrupted and corrected him.
"-killed 'Reptile'. Any of you rip anyone's heart out?!" Sonya stepped in and took Kano's GPS from his hand. "Hey!" She gave it to Cole, as he's about to take lead. Kano laughed at us, as he was taking it out on Sonya. "I think I know what's going on here." He stood up and began walking towards her. "You're jealous, girlie, of me little marking."
"Kano, that's enough!" I was about to step in, but Sonya refused my help, especially after he pushed her.
"If you want it so much, all you have to do is kill me. Take it." Kano influence her to kill him, if she wanted the marking.
"Sonya, you don't have to do this." Katie tries to speak out.
Sonya took a deep breath, as she drops her bag and turns to face Kano. I had Katie backed away from them. "It's your blood." Sonya stated.
Kano smiled. "Attagirl." He simply chuckled, before he attempts to strike her in the face. However, Sonya was on her guard and took Kano's knife. He was able to stop her before she could stab him. The fight didn't last long, because Sonya was quick enough to tackle him to the ground and had his knife near his throat.
Cole was very impressed from Sonya's combat skills, as I will agree also. As she was contemplating of killing Kano, I began to hear someone's voice that I recognized.
Thomas.
I looked around and started walking away from the group. However, I didn't go to far, until the voice stopped me again.
Thomas. It's there. The temple, where you and your fellow warriors will train.
"Fiver?" I questioned.
Yes. It's me. I'm giving you my visions, so it'll guide you. I know you'll free us. We'll be there for you. His voice than disappears.
"Fiver, wait!" I shouted, as I attempt to follow his voice, but it was too late. He was gone.
Thomas! I heard Katie was running towards me, as Cole and Sonya were behind her. "What it is?"
I looked at another distance. I could see a bit of light that was visible, despite of the bright sun. "There!"
"What's there?" Cole asked.
"Those hills that are bit formed together." I told them. "That's his temple."
"Are you sure, Thomas?" Sonya asked me.
I than heard Fiver's faint voice, as he was my guide. I nodded my head. "Yes. It's that direction. And I don't think we would need the GPS from there."
Kano was than coming behind us. Sonya looked at the GPS and thought it was bit pointless, because the reception was weak. She tossed the device back at him, before I lead the way for Raiden's Temple.
