As the hours gone by, I continued to lead them to Raiden's Temple. It would take a few hours, before the sun was beginning to set. We than found the three white hills, not far from we're standing now. I was able to hear Fiver's voice once again. He confirmed to me that this is the temple. I trusted his word and continued to lead them down the hill. As we're making our descent, I spotted a warrior on the top of small hill in front of it. He looked like, as if he was another warrior. He started to make his way towards us. We're near to the point, who the unknown warrior is. He seems to be a monk, as he has beads wrapped around his left hand. A red strap that was wrapped around his waist. I came to my mind of another fighter, who looks almost like him... Liu Kang.

Kano got ahead of us, as he was about to stop the warrior. "Okay, that's far enough, MC Hammer." Kano than pulled out his knife, but he was quickly knocked to the ground from the unknown warrior's fireball. It wouldn't be worth to make that kind of approach, like what Kano did.

"I'm not your enemy." the warrior said to us. "I'm Liu Kang from the Shaolin Order of Light."

"Is that the same Liu Kang?" Katie asked me in a whisper.

I looked at him and whispered back to her. "His name yes, but he does look somewhat different, but his powers are the same."

"You're one of the champions." Sonya said to him.

"Yes, from Earthrealm." Liu Kang answered. "Finally, you have come to seek Raiden's-"

Kano than cut him off with stuttering. "Fuck the temple. You just shot a fireball out of your hand. How did you do that?"

Liu Kang stood still, as he looked at all of us.

"To answer your question, yes, Liu Kang." I answered. "At first we seemed to lost our way, but we were able to find it."

"We didn't." Sonya came forward. "You did."

"What?"

"It's true, you did lead us there." Cole nodded his head.

"I did lead, yes, but to be honest-"

"As he was saying, I helped them find it." Kano interrupted me.

"That's not true! Fiver helped him find it." Katie stood up for me.

"Katie." I was surprised once again.

"Your sister, yes?" Liu Kang turned to me and asked me.

"Yes, she's my younger sister. She has the marking, but it was by accident." I answered.

"There are no accidents." he added.

"Alright, hang on. Hang the fuck on." Kano jumped right in. "Does that mean I'm gonna get superpowers at any point? It does, doesn't it?"

Liu Kang placed his left hand on Kano's shoulder. "There's much to learn."

"The fuck?"

"But not here." Liu Kang said, as he than took the lead from there to have us follow him to the entrance of Raiden's Temple. While we're following, Kano called him David Copperfield, at the same time questioning him on how was he able to use fireballs. It took a us little bit of walk, until we we're able to see a opening entrance to his temple.

"There it is... what you've been searching for." Liu Kang told us, as we looked at the entrance of the temple that almost seemed to look like a ruin.

"A ruin?" Katie politely asked.

Liu Kang lightly chuckled, as we began to go down hill and proceed on to the temple. "It wasn't always like this. For thousands of years, this temple was a holy place of worship."

"Of elder gods?" I asked him.

He turned back to me and nodded his head. "Yes." He than continued to lead on as we followed. "It is essential that we begin your training for the next tournament."

"This doesn't feel like a tournament." Cole had strong feelings that I could agree, so far what we have encountered from enemy warriors. "So far it feels like an ambush."

"I feel the same way too." I agreed with Cole from experience. "The last time I encountered enemy warriors, it was during an invasion."

Liu Kang stopped again and turned back towards us. Most specially, at me, before turning back and continue leading us. "We don't have much time. We will not see another full moon, before the tournament begins."

When we got to the dark part of a tunnel, he summoned his powers of fire to light the way. Sonya and everyone else, except me and Katie, stared at Liu Kang's hands, as flames were above his hand. "Come, come. Through here." We continued to follow him, until he stopped at a what it may appears to be a dead end.

Kano scoffed. "Now what? You're gonna make a door appear out of nowhere?"

After Liu Kang did some sort of magic, the dead end was revealed to be a secret door that leads to the actual temple. We were amazed from the magic that Liu Kang had to open a secret door. Even Kano whisper to us to admit it was pretty good on what Liu Kang did. When we got in, we were in a hall of mural art of past events that involved Mortal Kombat. Sonya especially was amazed to see them.

"I knew it. It's all real. These murals are the living history of Mortal Kombat." Sonya pointed out. There some that I may recognize from the games from playing them. I began to think it's becoming too real. Way too real.

Kano at one point found one of the murals that goes to his liking. "Now that one speaks to me!" It showed what appears to be Goro defeating an Earthrealm champion.

At one point, Sonya and I looked at one of the murals. I recognized the person in the mural... "That's Shao Kahn!"

"This is Outworld." Sonya added.

"Yes, the most brutal..." Liu Kang answered. "... and murderous of all realms. Our greatest enemy."

"It's that obvious for sure." I nodded. At one point, I turned to see Cole was looking at a mural that features Hanzo Hashashi being murdered by Sub-Zero. He was staring at for minutes, until I heard Katie's voice.

"Thomas!" I hurried over to her. She found a mural that features Hazel, Liu Kang, Captain Holly, and myself encountering General Woundwart, Shao Kahn, Sindel, and Shang Tsung.

"I remember this! This is where, Hazel attempts to make a treaty with Woundwart." I recalled of this mural that it actually happened.

"Cole, Sonya! Come here!" Katie called Cole and Sonya to see the mural. Even, Liu Kang and Kano came also. When they came, they gazed at the mural and spotted me.

"Thomas, that's you!" Cole was surprised.

"I know there was something about you, Thomas." Sonya figured. "According with the research, it was before you battled Outworld and Efrafa."

"Efrafa?" Cole questioned.

"An former enemy warren of rabbits that was once ruled by General Woundwart." I answered him.

"It was our latest mural that appeared on these halls." Liu Kang told us.

"But why?" I questioned him.

He stood silent. "Perhaps it has some significance of why you're here."

I looked back at the mural, while Kano laughed. "That's fucking, poetic! This wanker was with a full of plump rabbits that only eat each other's shit and than fuck-"

It was that moment that my wolf instincts kicked and I grabbed him by the throat and tossed him to the ground.

"Thomas, no!" Katie attempted to stop me.

"Don't you ever insult Hazel and his fellow rabbits, in front of me or Katie!" my hands tightened his throat, as I was making my point. "Got that. chief?"

Kano was somewhat startled and decided to listen to me, although he's sarcastic. "I guess I'll take your point."

"Yeah." I than let him go and he backed away from me. I stood and composed myself from the outburst.

"There's no time for arguing and destroying each other." Liu Kang stated, before we continued to follow. "Now, come. We must start our training now. Before, our mortal enemies from the Outworld come for us." We arrived at a hall, where they're number of relics on display. "The fate of Earthrealm is in our hands. There are not many of us with the marking left." While Liu Kang was talking, I noticed Kano snatched one of the relics that was in chains and stuffed it in his vest pocket. Liu Kang turned around, facing us and continued. "So you must train harder, and faster. Because if you fail to discover your inner power, you will never defeat your opponent."

He slowed walked towards, as he was still pointing out the consequences of failing to discover our own abilities. "They will ravage everything you hold dear..." Katie became frightened that she clanged onto my shirt and hid behind me. I placed my hand on her shoulder, as I kept her behind me, while Liu Kang approached us and continued. "...There will be no more mercy." He than continued as he walks to Cole and Kano. "You must fight without question. The Dragon has swallowed many before us."

Liu Kang sensed that Kano stole something that was a relic on display. "Now put that back."

Kano pretended to be clueless. "Put what back?"

I sighed. Went over to Kano and pulled out a relic that was in his vest pocket. When I gazed at the item... it was Quan Chi's amulet! The voices of Quan Chi were starting to come back to me. My eyes went widened, as if I was about to have a similar vision alike to Fiver's. The vision took me back to the battle. The Battle of Watership Down...

Flashback begins...

I recalled about Quan Chi using his amulet to control the revenant bucks like Toadflax and Scabious. Even at one point, Captain Holly. However, I was able to break the spell that Holly was under and his soul was released. When returning back to Watership Down, I encountered Quan Chi and battled him. After having Holly's aid to battle Captain Orchis, I was able to regain the fight and defeat Quan Chi and knocking the amulet off from him. When I picked it up, I sensed dark, evil powers that evolves inside the amulet.

The temptation was to use the amulet and kill Quan Chi. Another voice came, that wasn't his, but someone else evil... It seemed that Quan Chi wanted me to use the amulet, but if it wasn't for Raiden, I would have been possessed. I was able to control myself and tossed the cursed amulet to Raiden and he destroyed it. It was probably the last time I've ever encountered it.

Flashback ends...

I was continuing to hear voices in my head, evil voices. At one point, I was starting to feel pain on left arm. The same arm where it burns from Quan Chi's use of his amulet to burn my hand and arm. I than started to hear a familiar voice that wasn't from the same voice... it appears to be The Black Rabbit of Inle'.

Destroy the amulet. I heard the voice.

With too much voices and memories overpowering me, I could only do was that I smashed it too the ground, but it wasn't destroyed. At the same time, I don't understand. I was certain that Raiden destroyed it.

"The Sorcerer's Amulet from The Netherrealm was kept here, after being found." Liu Kang told me.

"You what?!" I marveled from his words in shock. "You're telling me, that the amulet wasn't destroyed?!"

"We were able to find it damaged, but were able to keep it safe here."

"No, it wasn't meant to be kept! That amulet is evil! It was used to possessed Captain Holly's soul and other fallen rabbits before him!" I protest.

"Perhaps whenever you're not training, you could express your concern to Lord Raiden."

After this revelation, I started to have a distrusting feeling about Liu Kang and his Raiden. I was certain from the Raiden I fought along side with was able to destroy it. However, if it's hear and The Black Rabbit of Inle' has given me the instruction to destroy it. I will must. Even if, it will cost my allegiance to Earthrealm and the warriors, but only to protect it and prevent it from being used again.
