Everyone else woke up in the middle of the night to see the fire has died. We decided to return back to the temple. We tiptoed quietly, when we came to the hall, before entering our sleeping quarters. Luckily, we haven't been spotted by Raiden, Liu Kang and Kung Lao. However, the one person I feared we be spotted was Kano. However, he was snoring and talking in his sleep. Which we didn't give ourselves away when we got into our beds. After telling each other "goodnight", I got onto my bed and pulled out my scarf. I closed my eyes to hear Holly's warm voice comforting me, as I laid comfortably and fell asleep.

In the next morning, Liu Kang immediately had us go to training. Since Kano had already achieved his arcana, he was able to participate training the rest of us. It didn't go well with me, because the flashbacks came back. As the result, it caused an easy defeat. Sonya managed to hold Kano off, but he than used his eye laser to injure her. Cole was next. Liu Kang sensed Cole wouldn't last long being here, unless he achieved his arcana. I hoped that my cousin could be able to do it. If not, I'll do whatever I can to help him achieve it. Kano snapped his knuckles and than his neck side to side, as he prepares to face Cole.

"We're running out of time, Cole." Liu Kang warned him. "Focus on what you can't deny. Find the truth in you. The pain. It's the ultimate catalyst."

Cole began to think on Liu Kang's words, but only to knocked down by Kano. I began to think on Liu Kang's words, if there's a clue or an idea. However, it was too difficult to think, while seeing my cousin being beaten up.

"Again." Liu Kang barked.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa,... hold on." Cole attempts to speak to Liu Kang. "Does it have to be him? I-" Kano continues on to punch, even at one point headbutting him, before tossing him to the ground.

"You know, I see a little bit of arcana there." Kano taunted at Cole. "Give me one more crack at it."

"Focus on the pain, Cole." Liu Kang advised him once again.

"I'm focusing, nothing's happening! It hurts-"

"Aww, stick with it." Kano mocked as he punches Cole again.

"Again." Liu Kang repeats.

Another punch Cole was given, as he was still on the ground. All the sudden, everything went into a stop. I looked around to see what was the cause of it. However, the voices came to me. First, was Liu Kang's voice that he attempts to give Cole advise.

Focus on what you can't deny. Find the truth in you. Pain. It's the ultimate catalyst.

Another voice came into my mind, it was Raiden's, when he encourages Liu Kang and Kung Lao to be creative on training us.

You must be more creative and eliminate all distractions. Find their weakness and turn it into their strength.

I than started to look back at Cole's night at the fighting rank, in which he loses, because he tapped out. And than finally, the last voice was from Kano's mockery of Cole on our first day of training...

You know, maybe your arcana is getting your ass kicked...

The present resumes and notice Cole is on the ground. Broken and defeated. Without any hope of achieving his arcana. "Yeah, you're right. Nothing's happening." Kano said. "You're as lazy, ya?"

It was the last straw of seeing Cole taking crap from Kano! I decided to cut in the training to have a word of advice to my cousin. Sonya attempts to stop me, but I kept going to Cole. Even Liu Kang and Kano noticed me entering the arena, while a training match was in progress.

"Uh, since when does another fighter but into other people's fights to tag them?" Kano questioned.

"You cannot enter-"

"You can thank me later." I dismissed them. I got down to Cole, as he sat up. "What's wrong, Cole?"

"I don't know what I'm doing wrong!" he complained. "I'm already about ready to give up."

"You can't just give up! You still haven't found your arcana yet."

Cole sighed at me. "Unless you have an idea."

I took a moment to think and remember what Raiden said to Liu Kang and Kung Lao. An idea came to me that I made a nod. "As a matter of fact, I do. Why are you here?"

He brought up the obvious answer. "To defend my family."

I gazed at his bracelet that his daughter made for him. I noticed something in my mind, that it could be useful. So, I decided to tell him what I recall. "Keep on fighting, even you get beaten up a few times."

Cole scoffed. "I tried that! Liu Kang told me to-"

"Forget what he just said to you." I advised him. "Try not to worry much of your family. Worrying about them causes too much distraction. However, fight for your family."

He shook his head. "It's not easy as it sounds."

"What do you do? You fight in matches to provide money for your family. You get too many punches and you always quit in your corner, only to get paid."

"So what is it you're suggesting?" he asked.

"Do not give up at your corner!" I told him. "No matter how hard you get beaten up, continue to get up and get back in the fight. Your family would not want to see you on the ground and giving up. Think of your daughter not wanting you to tap out, when you still have a chance."

He took a moment to reflect on what I said to him. He might have looked back at the fights he had. From his victories in his championships to his constant defeats on every Friday night matches to help pay the bills. He composed himself and decided to take my word. "I'll try."

I shook my head. "Don't try. Do."

"Excuse me, pretty boys... hate to interrupt your sweet fuckin' prep talks, I still got to beat up the cousin of yours up." Kano interrupted.

"Kick his ass!" I whispered to Cole, before getting up and returned to my seat.

"What did you do?" Sonya asked me.

"Gave him some advice." I answered.

We watched Cole getting back on his feet, dusted himself off and was ready to resume his training. Kano was about ready to proceed on.

"Focus on the pain, Cole." Liu Kang advised him.

Cole looked back at me, as I did too at him. He turned back to Kano and was ready for combat. Kano approached him and than the two started to combat. Cole was doing well, until again, he found himself on the ground. Kano shook his head. I whispered in my mind to tell Cole to get up.

"Yeah, you keep getting more lazier when you're on the ground." Kano mocked. Cole struggles to get up, but he was too much in pain. "Yeah, he's done for."

"Don't listen to him, Cole! Get up!" I shouted for him to get back on his feet.

"Hey, keep your mouth shut, pretty boy! I'll make sure to deal with your crazy-arse when I'm done with you!" Kano cursed at me. Cole started to get back on his feet and charges at Kano and again, knocked on the ground. Kano mocked again at Cole.

"Cole!" I shouted for him to get back on his feet.

"Alright about time to shut you up for good." Kano pulled his knife and he was about ready to combat me. "You got a death wish, mate?"

"You do that, you're only partially doing me a favor, you punk-ass momma's boy!" I cursed at him, before I got my first punch at him. He than tossed me to the arena. I was getting kicked and punched by Kano, until he turned me over to face him. He got down on his knees and had his blade right on my neck. "Say goodbye to your furry friends, bunny fucker!" I closed my eyes to see what death would do for me.

NO!

Someone shouted. I opened my eyes in a split second to see a blade that was blocking Kano's blade. I turned to my right to see it was Cole. His chest, back, and arms were all armored up, on what it almost closely resembles to his daughter's bracelet. One one of his under arms, he has a blade, while the other has a tonfa.

"Cole?"

Kano looked at him and got pitifully jealous. "Oh c'mon! You got an armor and weapons?!"

Without saying another word, he wacked Kano off his feet with the tonfa. The Black Dragon terrorist fell to the ground and unconscious. Out of no where, Katie showed up from up the steps to see what happened. Cole looked at his arms and than his chest to see he's armored up. He became amazed on what he finally achieved. I couldn't help it, but I was proud that he finally achieved his arcana. However, I know something was still in his mind, when his armor goes away. His dragon marking. Nevertheless, he noticed that the power came from his daughter's bracelet that made his armor.

The training came to an end for now. My sister and I were walking from the murals to find Cole sitting alone. As we approached, he was looking at his family pictures on his phone. He was homesick more than anything else, despite the fact he achieved his arcana. Perhaps the bracelet made him think of home.

"Cole?" We sat down next to him. "Are you alright?"

He nodded his head. "I just never thought I've been away that long without my wife and daughter."

"Did you try calling them?" Katie asked.

"Tried, but no signal. So, I could only do is to look through the pictures. To think about them." Cole stated.

I nodded, as Cole continues to search through the photos, until Sonya came and joined us. "What are you looking at?" Cole showed her a picture of his wife and daughter on his phone. "They're beautiful. You're a lucky man."

"Thanks." Cole thanked her.

She than turned to me. "Since how long you three knew each other?"

Katie, Cole, and myself looked at each other and decided to tell her our story. "Well for Katie, it was only a few days ago. Cole and I knew each other for a long time."

"Basically, you two had a reunion moment when you and Katie returned back to Earth?"

I nodded. "That was after we were sent back to the human world, following..." I went silent and Katie placed her hand on my shoulder.

"Were you two that close to everyone at that warren?" Sonya asked.

Katie answered. "We were family."

"How's that?" Cole asked.

"Since our parents and the rest of our siblings died, and not knowing about Katie's whereabouts at the time, Captain Holly took me in. However, after freeing Katie and the rest of the rabbits back in Efrafa, he and his mate, Hyzenthlay, took us in. As if we their kittens. And of course, the rest of the rabbits as family." I told him.

"Care to tell us who they were?" Sonya asked. Me and Katie were happy to.

"Hazel. He was the Chief Rabbit of the warren and described as a great leader. His younger brother, Fiver, had visions that he see things into the future or the possibilities of what could happen. Bigwig, the strongest and toughest buck of them all, due to the fact he served in the Owsla. He and Captain Holly."

"Not to forget, he's cute to snuggle to." Katie chuckled.

I chuckled along. "Yeah that's true. He does have a soft side. Because he might have been a Plump Rabbit."

Katie looked around quickly. "However, we're supposed to say that to him or whenever he's around. He would get cranky."

"The strongest rabbit, but has a cutie side?" Sonya joked that we laughed.

"Actually, he hides it. Because as an Owsla officer he expects himself to have the fighter personality." I answered.
