The scene when we arrive at the school was already extremely off putting. I'm an observer, so while everyone else was talking, I noticed a black camaro with the doors wide open, a blue jeep with the hood smashed, and the school doors wide open with a bolt cutter on the ground in front of the doors.
"Did they break in?" I said to myself but loud enough for everyone to hear. Allison completely ignored me and for some reason and hopped out of the car. I looked at her immediately. This was way too creepy. "What are you doing?"
"He said to meet him here," she said as if it was the most common sense thing ever. I swear she acts like this boy is the end all, be all.
Jackson got out of my backseat and stood next to Allison by the staircase in front of the door. "Do you need me to come with you?" He offered. That was super out of character. I glanced over to Lydia's pissed off face in the backseat. They were standing extremely close..
I decided to come to hopefully both Allison and Lydia's rescue; I reached in my glove compartment and pulled out a thigh sheath of throwing knives and strapped up. I got out of the car and stood between Jackson and Allison. "I think I've got it. Besides, I can probably do more damage than you." I flashed my leg forward and he looked down, immediately widening his eyes.
After gaining his 'composure' he said, "I heard throwing knives are not effective for self defense."
It was my turn to give the wide eyes, but I also turned up the corner of one my lips at his comment. "Do you want me to show you?"
I tapped Allisons arm and turned to walk away. She began to follow but Jackson stopped her by grabbing her hand. Shockingly she didn't pull away until after he said, "Hey, Allison."
She looked down and smiled up at him in the quirky way that she does. "You have this look on your face like you're about to say 'be careful'."
He smiled back at her in a way that made me want to throw up. "I am, what?"
""That concerned look on you, I've never seen it."
"Well, I am concerned."
"Well, that's a good look on you. Don't worry. I'll be right back."
Were they seriously flirting right in front of Lydia? And also while we were at this creepy ass school looking for HER boyfriend? I don't understand her at all right now. I made sure to lock eyes with my twin and raise a brow as she came to stand by my side. "What?" She questioned. Did she seriously see nothing wrong with that little interaction?
"Lets go, I'm regretting this already." We moved in unison towards the door. "I don't know what Scott's into, but once again, it's clearly weird."
We continued to walk through the school, Allison calling for Scott in every hallway. "I don't know why he's here."
"He's your boyfriend."
She ignored me and we kept walking. She led us to the pool that I wasn't even aware existed. I love swimming. I might start coming to school more often if I could swim during the free periods.
Allison's phone suddenly ringing both startled and relieved me. Pretty shitty of Scott to tell her to meet us here and then not say anything else. I really hope this is one big prank. Or do I? I feel like I'm going to be pissed either way. I planned to spend my night kicking ass and watching other people do the same.
"It's Stiles. Hello?" She said into the phone. She paused as Stiles. "Swimming pools. I'm with my sister. Okay. Okay! We're coming." She turned back to me. "Come on."
"Is Scott here?"
"Yeah, he said to meet them in the lobby." Off to the lobby we go, Argent sister explorers. Remember my social meter? How it filled at the party and then emptied over time? My social meter is actually through the roof right now, and I could do with not speaking to any of these people now for probably months.
Scott and Stiles were in the lobby waiting for us. Allison immediately embraced him as if it was okay for him to have blown her off and dragged us here. He grabbed her by her shoulder and said frantically, "Why did you come? What are you doing here?" He glanced at me, "The both of you!"
I cocked my head to the side, confused as ever as Allison said for me, "Because you asked me too."
"What?!" He shouted, completely out of breath and panicked.
"You texted her," I said dryly. I don't see why it mattered if he said invited her here or not. We're all together so lets go!
Allison decided to pull out her phone and show it to Scott, "Did you not send this message?" Scott shook his head no. Oh my god, this just got so much weirder. And I thought this was going to be fun,
"Who cares!" Stiles just read my mind. "Did you drive here?"
"I did. Jackson and Lydia are in the car," I answered, jingling my keys at him.
"Why are they here?" Scott shouted at me, making me curl my lip at him.
"We were going to hang out together, you're the one who stood up my sister, so calm the hell down."
Just as I finished my mini spazz, Lydia and Jackson busted through the door to the left, scaring all four of us. I'm not even the jumpy type; this place was just way too creepy!
"Great, everyone's together! Can we go now?" Lydia said, looking between everyone.
Before I could even speak, a loud, exorcist sounding creepy ass howl ripped through the ceiling, making us all look up. The tiles above us were creaking as if something extremely heavy was up there. Everyone shared a look before Scott shouted "RUN!"
He didn't have to tell any of us twice; everyone took off in a matter of seconds- right before there was a LOUD crashing noise of whatever was there coming from the ceiling. I glanced back and saw red glowing eyes on a dark figure. What the FUCK was that?
I followed Scott and Stiles into the school cafeteria, where the lot of us began to start barricading ourselves in the door. My heart was pounding so fast I could hear it in my ears; I was so shocked I was more than shocked- I was fucking flabbergasted! What the hell did Scott call us here for?
"HEYYYYY!" I stopped moving to look at Stiles who had just screamed at the rest of us. He had a smirk on his lips, and ran his hand down his face, "Okay, nice work. Really beautiful job, everyone. Now - what should we do about the 20 foot wall of windows?"
Before he even finished speaking I realized how we had fucked up, and dropped my head in my hands. I couldn't believe how helpless we all were at the moment. All I had to do was stay in the damn car. Or just stay home!
I glanced over to my sister who's eyes were watery. She was pacing with her hands at the sides of her head. In her panicked tone she somehow managed to get out, "Can somebody please explain to me what's going on, because I'm freaking out here. And I would like to know why. Scott?"
He looked between the faces of everyone in the room and shook his head. He was clearly overwhelmed, but in my eyes this was his fault so he owed every single one of us an explanation. Instead of delivering that, though, he just turned around and left us all hanging.
Stiles stepped forward instead. "Somebody killed the janitor." Thats where he's going to start?
"Somebody? Or some thing?" I questioned, looking between Stiles and Scott.
Instead of either of them saying anything, Scott sat down on a chair, not looking at any of us. Allison moved towards him and forced him to look at her, "What's he talking about? Is this a joke?"
Lydia started to act hysterical as well. "No, no, no, no," she whispered out, "This is supposed to be over. The mountain lion was killed–"
""No, don't you get it? That wasn't a mountain lion." Jackson shouted at her rudely.
Allison went back to shouting, "Who was it? What does he want? What's happening? Scott!"
Finally Scott had something to say, stuttering out, "I- I don't know. I- I just know if we go out there, he's gonna kill us."
That was where I draw the line with my quiet nature. "What the fuck is going on? Right now. You don't get to call my sister here, to get trapped in your bullshit, and then not tell us anything except that something or someone is out there trying to kill us."
"Okay! It's Derek. Derek Hale."
"The guy who me a ride?" Allison asked. I briefly remember her saying one of Scott's "friends" gave her a ride home after he ditched her at that party a little over a month ago. I don't think I've actually ever seen him, but if I did then I wouldn't have gotten a ride from someone that huge, with RED eyes?!
"Yes," Scott stated with some confidence, finally. "I saw him."
"But the mountain lion-" WHAT the fuck is with Lydia and this mountain lion bullshit.
"NO! Derek killed them all! Starting with his own sister," Scott yelled at us all. "He killed the bus driver and the guy in the video store- its been him the whole time. He's in here with us and if we don't get out now than he's going to kill us too!"
Jackson shot up from his sitting position, "Call the cops!"
"No!" Stiles said back. We all gave him this puzzled look. I didn't know Stiles too well, but he clearly is crazy as hell.
"What the hell do you mean no?" Jackson said menacingly, stepping towards Stiles with his arms out.
"I mean no. You wanna hear it in Spanish? Nuh." I snorted at that; I had to give it to him- he did make me laugh. He still needed to call the police. "Look, Derek killed three people, okay? We don't know what he's armed with. I'm not putting my dad at risk like that."
His dad must be a cop or something. He made a good point; I wouldn't call my dad over here even though we have a garage full of guns.
"Your dad is armed with an entire sheriff's department. Call him," Jackson said again, moving his hands to provide emphasis.
"I'm calling," Lydia stated, whipping out her phone. I held my breath as she dialed nine-one-one. If derek wanted to kill us we've been in here plottig for quite a minute. On the phone Lydia said, "Yes, we're at Beacon Hills high school. We're trapped, and we need you to- but -She hung up on me. She said they got a tip warning them that there are gonna be prank calls about a break - in at the high school. She said if I called again that they're gonna trace it and have me arrested."
"Okay, so call again- come on girl," I said obviously. This is all taking way too long for my liking.
"No, they won't trace a cell and they'll send a car to your house before they send anyone here," Stiles explained. He sat down in a chair lazily, dropping his head into his hands. Him and his best friend were way too nonchalant for my liking. That and the fact that the cops were notified beforehand- when he's the sherrifs son -made me extremely suspicious of the both of them.
As if she was sharing the same exact thoughts as me, Allison went back into full on panic mode, speaking in rushed hysterics, "so did Derek send me the text?"
"No. I mean- I don't know!"
Allison continued to question Scott, "So is he the one who called the police?"
Scott stood up abruptly, throwing his hands up in defeat as he yelled back at my sister, "I don't know!"
"All right, why don't we ease back on the throttle here, yeah?" Stiles said, coming up to place his hand on his friend's shoulder to ease him. I decided to do the same with Allison since this was lowkey like some type of lovers quarrell. Stiles decided to pull Scott to the side and have a very mysterious whisper fest. I hugged my sister, and she hugged me back, so I began to rub her back lightly. It felt nice to bond over us about to die.
"Okay, assheads," Jackson annouced, grabbing all of our attentions. "New plan; Stiles calls his useless dad and tells him to send someone with a gun and decent aim. Are we good with that? Jocelyn why don't you put those knives to use or are they for show?"
I raised a brow at him. I'm officially tired of the bullshit, "Like I said before, do you want me to show you? I am so far from being in the mood to want to deal with your bullshit. I will kill you for Derek." Leave it to Jackson to make me lose my composure. But I didn't care, I reached down to wrap my fingers around the handle of the knife, earning doe eyes from Jackson and Lydia.
Before I even pulled one out Scott finally decided to step up, "Stop! Okay, Stiles, call your dad- tell him the truth if you have to, just - just call him."
"The truth?" I said aloud, but the two of them ignored me. Instead, Stiles said, "I'm not watching my dad get eaten alive." He turned on his heel and walked away from us.
Did he just say eat? I couldn't even really process his statement because Jackson stormed up to Stiles, trying to grab the phone from him but surprisingly, Stiles spun around and right hooked him, making Jackson fall to the ground. I watched Lydia and Allison rush over to check on him- they made it look like a competition. It was weird.
Stiles pulled his phone out of his pocket with force and dialed a number. "Dad, hey, it's me. And it's your voicemail. Look, I need you to call me back now." Then, the doors we had barricaded started to rumble, shaking back and forth. Whatever was out there was trying to get in. The panic in Stiles voice began increasing as he said into his phone, "Like, right now. We're at the school. Dad, we're at the school."
A low growl ripped through the air and Stiles began pushing me and towards a door in the corner. "The kitchen, the door out of the kitchen leads to the stairwell." With that we all began to run to said door, following behind Scott and Stiles down the hall until we were in the chem room.
Scott immediately locked the door once we were all in and went back to pacing.
"Derek was growling?!" I shouted at him, grabbing his arm mid pace. He looked between everyones faces again. I noticed he had to do that all the time. He's been lying all night, I Swear.
"Look, it doesn't matter- we can go out to the roof and down the fire escape which means we can be out of here." I'm glad Scott is finally showing that he has a brain. I let him go and sauntered away.
Stiled moved to the door and pointed at it. "This is a deadbolt. The only person who has a key is probably the janitor."
Scott paused and glanced at my sister. "I can get it."
She immediately protested with, "Are you serious? You can not go out there alone. You don't even have a weapon."
Scott stormed towards the teachers desk and grabbed his pointer finger. Does he really think this is the time to be joking around?
"Stop!" Lydia said. "We're in the chem lab- all we have to do is make a fire bomb. A molotav cocktail." I swear she is much smarter than she lets on.
Jackson broke the glass to the chemical container and Lydia went to work mixing all kinds of liquids. I really need to start coming to school more. I want to know how to make a self igniting potion!
The whole time Lydia mixed her vanquishing potion, Allison was going back and forth with Scott. She was truly terrified that he was going to die, and I hated seeing her cry like that- but it was not my place to try to interrupt their fight. I would comfort her after he left, but it seemed like he knew the most about what was going on so it was right that he was the one to 'rescue' us all.
When she was done, Lydia handed the glass to Scott and before he left, he gave Allison a nice long cringe inducing kiss. As soon as he was out the door she came over to where I stood next to Stiles and dropped her head on my shoulders. She cried out, ""I don't get this. I don't get why he's out there, and why he left us. And I can't - I can't stop my hands from shaking."
I had never seen my sister like this and as she stepped back to show me her shaking hands, it made my stomach drop. I was trying so hard to keep my composure and the fact that she was so on edge was starting to affect me too. We are twins at the end of the day.
Surprisingly, Jackson came over and grabbed Allisons shaking hands before I could even react. He comforted her by saying, "it's okay. It's okay. It's gonna be okay."
We weren't super close, definitely not as close as Allison and her was, and even I wouldn't allow her boyfriend to touch me like that. Especially when Lydia herself was shaking, panicked as ever and probably had PTSD. Jackson was starting to piss me the hell off.
Again, a loud but somehow low, menacing, and fucking scary growl filled my ears. From the right of me, Jackson grabbed the back of his neck and fell to the floor, screaming out in pain. We all stared at him with pure confusion all over our faces. The fuck was wrong with him.
Stiles was the only one who touched him, reaching for the back of Jacksons neck where there were some markings. "What's on the back of your neck?"
Jackson got extremely defensive and jumped away fom Stiles grasp. Well at least he wasn't screaming anymore.
Allison was over him screaming too as she completely disregarded him by saying, "Where's Scott? He should be back by now."
Just as she finished, a key was put into the door and there was a click but the door didn't move at all. I pushed past everyone to try to turn the knob but it wouldn't budge. I looked back at everyone, and Allison ran over to me. I moved out of the way for her as she tried the door, shouting for Scott to no avail.
"Stop!" Lydia yelled at her. Allison sobbed but did stop and turn to lean on me for the hundreth time tonight.
"Do you hear that?" Lydia continued. "Sirens."
I don't care for this chapter. It's not bad but i can see in my own writing i did not want to write it. But havins a social bar is so me. I know you guys can relate?
This episode is lowkey wierd asf. No seriously, go watch it back and the pacing is bad and the amount of red herrings and things that really dont make sense are kind of bad but at least the writers werent lazy and somehow addressed them just in the next episode. Btw this is what i consider a long chapter the rest have all been under 3000.
