I am sure Samus isn't aware of it but despite how stoic she can be, she was a good friend to all. The younger smashers especially wanted to be around her, which she never seemed to mind. When no one else would, she volunteered to read to them from their favorite storybook, and she even helped Rosalina take care of Luma, tucking it in for its nap. Zelda and Peach were Samus's closest friends, the three of them always hanging out, and Palutena…well, her idea of fun was dragging me along in her silly adventures. I was never any good at interacting with others. I suppose that's why I mostly kept to myself, but I sometimes wondered if I could be a friend in my own way, too.
The weather was nice today, the sun so pleasantly warm. I sat atop a tree watching the clouds drift by, letting go a sigh, but before I could lose myself to my thoughts I noticed Samus, Peach and Olimar tending to the Pikmin. I went to check it out. It seemed the Pikmin refused to bloom, but perhaps some music would perk them up. I played my most energetic song for them on my lyre and sure enough they happily bloomed, dancing around the garden. The Pikmin wanted to thank me in their own special way, offering me a flower crown. I was touched by the gesture, a smile finding its way to me. It's good to share happiness with others even in the smallest of ways.
