Natasha had gotten a hold of Fury, telling him about what had gone down and what they needed to do now. After she had called him, a team had shown up fairly quick. They came with building supplies and machines to help them build. As soon as they got there, foundations for the temporary houses were being put together, the concrete bases sitting in the sun to dry.

Once the houses were actually built, Natasha knew she would probably be the one who was chosen to deliver supplies like cribs, beds, ovens and everything else you would need in a house. Luckily, the houses weren't complete just yet, so she would have time to worry about all of that later.

As for right now, she was passing food out to the Asgardians. Every single one of them thanked her as she gave them food and water, telling her that they would be eternally thankful for her act of kindness. She just smiled and nodded at them, moving on to the next person or family to do the same thing.

Across the field from where she was handing out food, the Avengers were discussing whether or not to take Loki with them. They had been told the story of how he had saved his people and he was responsible for bringing the escape ship, but it still wasn't enough to completely convince them into thinking he was changed for the better. Thor had bluntly stated that he would not go back and live with them if his brother was not allowed to either, although he said that he understood their mistrust in Loki from their previous encounters.

Natasha decided that-for her own sake-it was best she stay away from the god of mischief and help the Asgardians instead of talk about and to him. She knew she would do something rash from anger, so she trusted Steve to decide what to do about the situation. She knew he wasn't stupid enough to let him live with them, so she wasn't stressed at all about this.

Finally, all the food and water was divided among the people. Brushing her hands off, she set another empty box down by the other ones that had once been full of food. She smiled as she looked over the crowed as they ate and drank, feeling satisfied that she had helped them all.

"Hey! You, with the red hair."

The voice she heard scared her out of her thoughts. Putting her hands on her hips, she turned around to see who was talking to her.

"The name's Korg. This is my good friend, Miek," He gestured to the thing standing next to him.

Natasha looked at the thing in front of her as he walked closer. He seemed to be made of rocks. And his friend, Miek, looked like some kind of robotic walking fish but weirder. So she couldn't quite say what Miek was.

"Hello, Korg. Can I help you?" Natasha asked. First, a huge ship comes to earth with all of Thor's people and now, a rock person was talking to her. Things could definitely not get any stranger today.

"My friend and I need some food. You see, we just escaped from Asgard with my other good friend, Thor."

Natasha nodded, handing Korg some food and water from one of the full boxes that were next to her. "Here you go."

"Thanks," Korg waived to her as he walked away, a bit of rock falling off of his arms. She watched him until he sat by a lady wearing some sort of female Asgardian armor with a blue cape.

Natasha turned away and walked towards her group, expecting to hear that they wouldn't let Loki live with them. She couldn't wait to see the look on the god of mischief's face when they told him he had to stay here. The only problem with that would be Thor not joining them at the tower. But he was better where he could watch his brother.

"What have you guys decided?" She asked Steve once she reached him, hopeful that he made the right decision.

Steve glanced nervously at Thor, then grabbed Natasha's arm and pulled her away from the group. "Don't get mad, please, but we've decided to let him stay. It's beneficial to not just us, but the whole earth really. Loki would be under the best security at the tower."

Natasha stared at Steve like he was crazy. "Who cares how 'beneficial' it is! I won't accept this!" She exclaimed, making quotation marks with her hands for the word "beneficial". "And besides, he would be better off with S.H.I.E.L.D under Fury's supervision."

"Last time he was there, he escaped," Steve said bluntly.

"So? I'm sure they've improved their systems by now."

"Clint and Tony are acting the exact same way as you. I thought you would be rational about this."

"I am being rational; I'm thinking about our teams safety. And if Clint, Tony and I disagree, that means you got outvoted."

"Not exactly. The vote is a tie. Thor, Bruce and I have decided it's best that he stays with us. That way, we can watch him the whole time he's on earth. We'll make sure he won't get into trouble or try to take over the earth again," Steve said.

"And what about his magic?" Natasha asked.

"That's not really something we thought about yet. I'm sure Thor will figure something out when I talk to him about it." Steve shook his head, closing his eyes and pinching the bridge of his nose. "Please, Natasha. Just trust me. I'm really trying to do what's best for our team and the world."

Natasha saw the point through this, but didn't bother saying anything. She didn't completely agree with Steve, and she knew what kind of pressure he was under. One wrong move, and the world they knew could be over in an instant. So, instead of arguing about, she walked away to go see if she could help more people.

"Is this not great brother?" Thor said cheerily, breathing in the not-so-fresh polluted Midgardian air.

"Not really," Loki mumbled, thinking about how fresh the air used to be in Asgard. Everything was better in Asgard compared to here, or anywhere really. He looked at everything before him with a disgusted look on his face, his nose scrunched as he scrutinized the scenes before him.

"Oh, come now brother," Thor put his hand on Loki's shoulder. "It is not that bad. You will learn to love it here, just as I do. It truly is a wonderful place."

"Just because you like Midgard does not mean I have to. So, stop telling me how 'wonderful' it is. If you think it is so marvelous, keep it to yourself and do not tell me every three seconds how much you love it."

Thor removed his hand from Loki's shoulder, slowly shaking his head at him. He turned away, looking out over his people. It was nice to see them all smiling. He had seen Natasha handing out food earlier, and to see his people eating made him happy.

After a long moment of silence, Thor spoke and broke the tense and awkward atmosphere that was growing between the two of them. "Well, you will just have to get used to it Loki. We will be here for quite some time, whether you like it or not."

Loki snorted thinking about how long "quite some time" was. There was no way to go back to Asgard, it was completely ruined and destroyed. No one would set foot on Asgard ever again, so "quite some time" was most likely going to be forever, unless they found another, uninhabited planet that was pleasant enough to live on-which was highly unlikely.

"I will be back shortly, brother. Lady Natasha seems upset, so I am going to go speak with her," Thor walked away, leaving his brother alone with his thoughts.

Again, Loki snorted. When it came to women, Thor became weak and gullible. Thor loved to give them his attention, and on top of that, he absolutely loved to show off for them, even if he ended up embarrassing himself in the end. It was probably Thor's fault that he and Jane had broken up because he was most likely trying to show off way more than he should. Jane must have been too annoyed with Thor to date him still. He laughed at the thought. Lucky for himself though, Loki knew that behavior like that was foolish. He would never be caught fawning over a stupid woman, no less a stupid mortal woman.

As Loki stood there deep in his thoughts, Thor was approaching the red haired lady he had called Natasha. Loki watched on in interest as they struck up a conversation, Thor initiating it and the women actually talking back. Surprisingly, the woman seemed like she was flirting with Thor. Loki had often wondered how someone could actually have the urge to flirt with his brother. In his opinion, Thor had no talent when it came to wooing women.

They kept chatting on, Thor laughing loudly and moving his arms in such a subtle way that he was "accidentally" flexing his muscles for her. Loki couldn't believe how pathetic Thor was around this woman (and any other woman on this wretched planet for that matter). Watching him was almost giving Loki secondhand embarrassment. Almost.

Loki eventually lost interest in watching his brother flirt aimlessly. Although the woman had been flirting back, it was obvious she was not really interested. Knowing his brother, Loki knew that Thor was too stupid to catch on to that.

As he walked down towards the Asgardians, he noticed that the red headed woman was suddenly upset at Thor. Loki sauntered towards Thor, putting a completely careless look on his face as he approached them.

"What is the matter here, brother?" Loki asked, giving the woman a full up and down look. After a second, Loki realized who this was. She had let her hair had grown out since he had last seen her, the length just a couple of inches past her shoulders. "Oh, hello, Agent Romanoff. It has been quite some time since we have seen each other, hasn't it? If I remember correctly, our last chat was...not quite so pleasant."

Agent Romanoff huffed slightly, putting her hand on her gun as obviously as she could. "We spoke to you and Thor when you arrived here, if I remember correctly," She replied in a cold, mocking tone, her hand still on her gun.

"Oh? I do not seem to remember this," Loki said, forcing a laugh. "It is wonderful to see you again, but I must attend to some other more important duties," Loki walked away.

"Brother! Behave!" Thor yelled after him as Loki slowly walked away, a smug grin on the latter's face.

Thor sighed as he watched Loki walk away, turning back to Natasha and scratching his short hair awkwardly.

"I am truly sorry about him. He will get better the more he is around, I promise. But it seemed to me like he does not like you at all. Perhaps if I may know, what did you do to him when he was here last?"

Natasha smirked at the memory, thinking back to how she out-mastered the god of lies himself. "I tricked him."

Thor looked suddenly serious. "Oh."

"Oh?"

"He absolutely hates it when anyone is more clever than he is. He is obviously not over it and I do not know if that will ever change. My brother is good at holding grudges, in fact sometimes a little too good. You damaged his pride, so he still holds it against you."

"Well, if he is still mad about that, it doesn't mater to me. I don't want to be his friend and he doesn't want to be mine. But I am warning you. Even though he's your brother, if he makes one iffy move, he's a goner. I don't want to loose my friends to that monster," Natasha said bitterly. She turned around and walked away to see if she could help more people.

Thor watched as she left. Even though he loved his brother dearly, he knew they all had a right not to trust him completely. He had done so much bad in his life that even Thor didn't trust him completely, which was pathetic on Loki's part. Maybe one day he could finally trust his brother and their relationship would be better. But until then, Loki would just have to try harder to prove himself.
