(London: 1912)
Wakko (as Edward Malone) is looking for a good story for the Great Gazette. He is told by his boss to go to the house where Yakko (as George E. Challenger), a man who hates news reporters. Wakko goes to the Yakko's house. "Yakko" he calls to see if anyone's home. Yakko sees Wakko and warns him to leave. Wakko begs for Yakko's story. But Yakko physically ejects Wakko from the house and an officer (Ralph) sees it. But Wakko chooses not to press charges./p
Doing so, Wakko wins Yakko's respect.
Yakko lets him in and shows Wakko a picture of a mysterious mountain plateau in Venezuela. Then, he shows a picture of a guy next to a live Stegosaurus. "That man is the late Prof. Oak Black". The natives found him in the jungle all mangled and fever ridden. They read his diary and in his last breath, he was raving about dinosaurs." I tried to tell the world, but they all believed I was a fraud. Especially my rival, Otto Von SratchNSniff (as Prof. Summerlee)" says Yakko.
Wakko attends a meeting with Yakko. Yakko claims to ScratchNSniff that he's returning to Venezuela to find that plateau. Scratchy agrees to come along, just to prove him wrong. Dot (as Lord John Roxton), a big game hunter, looking for some more adventure also decides to come along. Wakko says he'll go too, but Yakko refuses for any news reporters to come along. Wakko changes his mind by funding his expedition.
The four go to Venezuela and begin journeying through the mighty Amazon Rainforest. Eventually, they manage to find the plateau. Yakko laughs in Scratchy's face, but he still denies that there's dinosaurs on top of that plateau. In the night, they kill a wild boar. and roast it over a fire. But before eating it, a Pterodactyl steals the pig. Yakko is certain it was some type of Pterodactyl, but Scratchy just thinks it was an eagle.
In the morning, they scale a pinnacle that reaches the summit of the plateau. They chop down a tree and use it to cross over to the summit. Yakko, Wakko, and Dot successfully get to the other side. But when Scratchy crosses, they log breaks and he nearly falls. But he grabs the edge of the cliff, and climbs back on. Now they are stranded.
While searching the plateau, Scratchy scolds Yakko saying, "You got all ov uz in huge danger! We'll die up here." But shortly after, they hear noises in the bushes ahead. A family of iguanodon has shown up. Scratchy ends up apologizing to Yakko. Dot randomly tries to shoot one with an elephant rifle, only for it to not hurt it. Dot then says "My elephant gun may as well be a bean shooter." Once the sun starts to set, they set up camp.
Scratchy gets a campfire going while Dot surrounds the camp with thorn bushes, hoping they'll keep the dinosaurs away. At camp Yakko is so excited while Wakko journal's down what has happened. But suddenly, a tree falls down, breaking the thorn bush shield. In the light, a Giganotosaurus is shown and it attacks. Scratchy is barely hit by it's claw and ends up on the ground. But before it can eat him, Dot throws a torch in it's mouth, causing it to run away.
In the morning, Dot tends to Scratchy's wounds. Wakko wonders what it was that attacked them. Scratchy says "It was a Giganot…" But Yakko, being the smartass he is, stops him and says "We're trying an authentic Early 20th Century style here and that dinosaur wasn't discovered yet, so we say it's either an allosaurus or a megalosaurus." Scratchy says "If ziss is zshe Early 20th Zentree, than what'z with zose jeeps?" and points to some jeeps in the distance.
(cuts over to the jeeps)
Driving the main jeep is Brain (as Ronald Tembo) and Pinky (as Peter Ludlow). "Perfect Pinky, we will now capture the dinosaurs and use them to build an army to take over the world!" says Brain. The jeeps come up to a herd of Iguanodon, and Dreadnoughtus. They have also hired a bunch of wranglers to catch the dinosaurs. Dot with binoculars looks from the cliff and sees what they're doing. Yakko says "Looks like the story has taken a major turn."
The story has in fact, taken a turn from The Lost World, to The Lost World: Jurassic Park.
In the night, Pinky and the Brain have a base camp with cages of Iguanodon, Stegosaurus, and Triceratops. "Looks like we have a change of plans." says Dot. The four grab some crowbars and metal trimmers, sneak into base camp, and free the dinosaurs. While Brain discusses his plans to use the dinosaur army for World Domination, the dinosaurs interrupt and destroy the base camp. At first, Brain bops Pinky. Later, he inspects the cages and notices they've been broken open. "Pinky, are you pondering what I'm pondering?" says Brain. "I think so, but another Jurassic trilogy? It'll never work." says Pinky. Brain bops Pinky and says "No Pinky. We're not alone up here.
Later that night, back at the other camp, the main four are questioning the script. "The writers must've gotten the two Lost Worlds mixed up." says Yakko. Suddenly, Brain, Pinky, and the rest of the dinosaur wranglers show up at their camp with their arms crossed. "You Fools! You destroyed all our camp equipment and got us all stranded up here, and thanks to you, we're stuck here together!" says Brain. "Woah woah woah! We were just trying to stick to the storyline!" says Wakko. "Wakko's right. Now, if we stick to the Doyle story, there should be a cave system on the other side of the plateau to get us to the bottom." says Yakko. "Looks like we have to cooperate." says Dot.
In the morning, the crew starts to journey to the other side of the plateau. Along the way, Pinky is obnoxiously humming the Jurassic Park theme until Brain bops him again. Dot hears something, tells everyone to stop. She looks through the bushes and sees two mammoths, two possums, a megalonyx (ground sloth), a smilodon (saber toothed cat), and a weasel with an eyepatch in the distance. Dot looks back and says "Just another wrong Lost World storyline."
As they keep journeying through the jungle, everyone except Wakko, Dot, and Pinky get ambushed and taken away by the plateau's apemen. In the night, they are taken in canoes, heading towards a tree with lights in it. They are put in cages made of sticks and are forced to wait until they are eaten. Wakko, Dot, and Pinky start to panic. But Dot reminds them to stick with the storyline and shows them the map of the plateau and points to where the natives village is.
Over at the apemen tree, the chief of the apemen, a giant yeti-looking ape wearing a triceratops skull, gets a cauldron boiling. Yakko, Scratchy, and the Brain are tied together and are boiling in the cauldron with apples in their mouths. They seemed screwed, but the native tribe, along with Wakko, Dot, and Pinky surprise attack the apemen and rescue the three of them. In the morning, they are brought to the village, where they are safe.
The six of them are ready to leave the plateau. But Yakko and Dot take care of one little thing first. They capture a baby Pterodactyl and bring it with them. But before they leave, the team of wranglers Pinky and the Brain hired show up with a tranquilized Tyrannosaurus Rex. Brain says "Go ahead. We'll catch up." and sends them on their way. Once they're gone, Brain begins his evil laugh.
Back in London, Yakko reveals the baby Pterodactyl and everyone now believes him. Yakko has gone down in history as one of the Great Men of Science. Afterwards, he sees a newspaper that says a T-rex is attacking San Diego. "Some people just can't stick to the storyline." Says Yakko.
