"Hey dad?" You said aloud, poking your head into your father's bedroom. He wasn't there. "Strange.." you thought.

You waltzed up into the training hall to see your dad and his other students training their keyblade skills.

"(Y/N), glad you could finally join us up here!" Your father, Eraqus, said, happy to see you.

"Yeah! Come to see me win?" Terra said as he flashed a rather smug grin. You playfully punched him as you went and sat near your dad. Terra always was the one who tried to act smart though his himbo-esque additude.

Eraqus laughed as well, knowing Terra liked to show off a little.

"Now…now.. I asked my son to come up here for a special reason. Now that he is sixteen, I personally believe he is ready to start his own training! Master Xehanort and I talked for a long while and my son needs to know how to defend himself if need be." Eraqus said as he firmly patted your shoulder.

"Are you sure? I barely feel secure holding my keyblade…" You said, summoning your Brightchest keyblade with a small flash of light. "Though..knowing the dangers of having something like this…some training would be ideal."

"Now, I want you and Ven to do the obstacle course we have outside before the meteor shower tonight. Should be decent practice for you before the exams tomorrow." Eraqus said as he ushered you and Ventus outside to the beginning of the course.

Ventus looked out at the course, confident he could complete this with you. It was small but honed on the very basic fighting skills any wielder should know. Ventus went first and completed all of the steps. "Hey, (y/n), you can do this! Just breathe and take your time!"

You took several deep breaths before summoning your keyblade and approaching the first obstacle. It was one single ring that could be hit many ways. You swung the keyblade, albeit clumsily, but completed the step.

Next up was a collection of 4 rings that spun around on a pole. You remembered what Ventus did and did your best to copy his motions.

You swung and actually got the entire pole to spin around! That made you feel extremely good about your skills.

Next up was a small jumping section which you passed with yomg colors. When reaching Ventus, he gave you a nice side hug and told you how proud he was that you completed the course.

At the summit, the two of you laid down on the ground and stared at the sky, awaiting the meteor shower you all wanted to see tonight.

"Wow!" Ventus said. "Why does this whole thing seem a bit familiar?"

You yawned and ended up falling asleep right there on the ground. Ventus decided to join you and went to sleep as well.

A short while later, you both yawned and looked up at the sky before aging back down for a moment. Though a certain blue-haired young gi had other ideas.. "Will you two stop snoozing in random spots?"

Hearing Aqua's voice made the both of you jump up rather quickly.

"But-Did I dream that place up? It really felt like I'd been there before...looking up at the stars…" Ventus questioned, looking at the stars again. Some part of his heart was telling him he had seen it before. "Hey, Aqua… Y'ever wonder what stars are? Where light comes from?"

"Dad always told me each star we see was another world..though I have only seen this world…." You mentioned as the three of you continued stargazing. Terra came up behind the three of you and agreed with your statement.

"Yep, hard to believe there are so many worlds out there besides our own. The light is their hearts, and it's shining down on us like a million lanterns." Terra said, sitting down on the ledge next to you.

"What? I don't get it." Ven said, confused as all hell. "What does THAT mean?"

The three of you laughed a little bit at how gullible Ventus could be. He has always been like that as long as you have known him. Ven puts his hands behind his head and starts laughing along. They sat there a while before Aqua got up and rummaged in her pocket for a moment.

"Oh, yeah! Terra, you and I have our Mark of Mastery exams tomorrow. I made good luck charms for all of us." She pulls them out. The star-shaped charms hang from thread. You, Terra and Ven stand up as well and she tosses the red one to Terra, who catches it in one hand. She threw Ventus a green one and she threw you a silver one.

"Somewhere out there, there's this tree with star-shaped fruit...and the fruit represents an unbreakable connection. So as long as you and your friends carry good luck charms shaped like it, nothing can ever drive you apart. You'll always find your way back to each other. Technically, I think you're supposed to make them with seashells, but I did the best with what I had." Aqua said, smiling as Terra slightly chuckled.

"Aqua, you are such a girl…" Terra said.
