Everything happened all at once.

She was suddenly confronted with a crowd of people, with more appearing with every passing second. At the forefront of the crowd was a man she could only describe as sunshine come alive in flesh. He had golden hair and bright blue eyes, wearing a cape laced with flames along the bottom. Behind him, at quite some distance she noted, were mostly men and only two women, one a red head like herself and the other had lighter blond hair worn in two loose ponytail's that hung down her back.

He, alone, moved forward until we stood within a few strides of her and introduced himself.

"My name is Minato Namikaze, the Fourth Hokage. What is your name Omega?"

She stared at him. And then stared longer. What was her name? Despair began to fill her; how could she have possibly overlooked such a thing. Name's hold great power and her own would not come to her. She saw him stiffen in front of her, panic added to her despair as she rushed to rectify her own folly for fear that she had angered him, perhaps even offended him with her silence.

"I don't know" She managed to bite out, shame filling her to her core. Desperately she tried to add "I'm very sorry Hokage, I don't know what my name is. I woke up not far from here in the forest but I'm sure I will remember it."

Unbeknownst to her, everyone around her could see her emotions as plain as if she had spoken them aloud, she was telling the truth. They could also see the rising panic threatening to grip her tight and not let go.

He smiled brightly and she let out a sigh of relief.

"It's okay" he reassured. "I must ask you to follow me to the hokage's tower and we can get this all sorted out." She nodded and made to follow him. The crowd behind him withdrew with every step as though they were afraid of her. Keeping their distance from her.

Am I frightening to look at? Are they wary of outsiders?

Her thoughts were cut short as the two women she noted from before stepped forward to introduce themselves to her. The redhead proclaimed brightly "I am Kushina Uzumaki, you know!"

"And I am Tsunade Senju" the blond replied with a smile. She couldn't help but give a smile faced with Kushina's enthusiasm next to her. "It is very nice to meet you all' she replied shyly. Minato looked over his shoulder and gave her a bright grin and they set off through the village. She looked around in wonder as they made their way, making note of other people, men and women alike, with headbands keeping normally dressed people at a distance from her while also keeping their own distance. She faltered slightly, uneasy and self-conscious. Tsunade was quick to answer her unspoken question.

"They keep their distance" She explained. "Because you are an omega surrounded by alphas. Minato, Kushina and myself are all beta's so we are the only people permitted to be near you until we can seal your scent so the alphas cannot smell you and you cannot smell them."

She stopped walking and stared at her. "I don't know what any of this means" she admitted. "I don't know what an omega is. What makes me one?"

All three of them stopped to stare at her. Really stare at her.

Like I just grew wings

Before hysteria could grip her, Minato urged them forward with kind words of this can all be sorted out in his office so once again, they continued moving. They climbed many steps at the foot of the mountain with the faces carved into it before she was led into an office with a large desk and a large window that overlooked the village. Minato gently ushered her into one of the seats opposite the desk with Kushina and Tsunade taking one on either side of her.

She leaned back and waited. It was once again Tsunade who spoke to her.

"I won't ask why you don't know what an omega is, as you expressed that you cannot recall your own name. You may be suffering from amnesia, but I will know when I get you to the hospital or to a Yamanaka." Shame filled her. "None of that" Tsunade admonished. "Once in this world, there were many omega. It is said that every omega has a soulmate." She stopped to bark a laugh out. "We can unfortunately only go off book's though as the last omega died hundreds of years ago to a mystery illness. Or they were purposely wiped out." She added bitterly. "The former holds more weight as no women has given birth to once since so where you have come from is a mystery."

She hesitantly cut in as Tsunade paused. "Why must this sealing business occur?" referring to Tsunade's earlier statement whilst they were walking. Kushina and Minato gave her kind smiles but did not butt in as Tsunade answered.

"It is written that there is a certain time of year where an Omega will scent the alphas in her village and find her soulmate. It can cause an omega a lot of pain to scent outside of this time as despair can fill them if they do not find them fast enough. We seal your scent, so you do not send every alpha in the village into what we call a 'rut', their time of mating. Ruts are usually controlled and the alphas know when to expect them, an impromptu rut can leave an alpha vulnerable to hurting those around him or himself." She finished.

She sat there, lost for words. Her eyes lowered to focus on a pen on the desk.

The pen makes sense, at least it's familiar.

" This is a lot to take in" she whispered. Three answering nods was her only consolation.

"I will put the seal on you myself" Minato declared quietly. Unease filled her. She didn't know these people.

How can I be sure that they're trustworthy?

"You're safe here. An omega is loved and protected above all else. No harm will come to you in this village or from out of it. I know you must be super scared, you know? But we can all help you and you can ask us anything" Kushina was practically bouncing in her chair. She did not answer her.

The pen on the desk was suddenly as interesting as...she couldn't recall anything as interesting. It was like her very first memory of life was the forest she woke up in. Despite that she could name items, their uses, she just couldn't recall where she might have seen them before or where she learnt to use them. For every item she recalled, there was an item she couldn't. She had seen weapon's she hadn't known the names of, their clothes were foreign, the images of food outside businesses mostly unrecognizable.

That's a nice pen. Maybe I can get a pen like that

She continued to sit there and wallow in self-pity. Fear and uncertainty mixed in with it. Thankfully the other three occupants of the room were content to wait for her to speak up. A burst of courage filled her as she turned her attention to the flowers embroidered on her dress. "Jasmine" she blurted out.

She stared at them. "I think that's my name."

She flashed them an uncertain smile. "I will choose to trust you. You may place the seal on me Minato. If it is what it takes to assure my safety and for those around me, I'm happy with it" Minato nodded, crossed around the table and gently drew something small on her neck. The ink was produced, seemingly, from nowhere, and was cold on her skin.

"Done" He proclaimed. She nodded, finding it hard to meet any of their eyes. Her stomach made a noise of distress as all the adrenaline rushed out of her and sharp pains began stabbing at her extremities once more.

I'm so tired. And hungry. Maybe they'll feed me

Tsunade got to her feet. "Let's get you a clean set of clothes and some food. I'm the head of Konoha's hospital and its chief medical nin so I also want to give you a checkup. We can sense that you're in pain so it's no use hiding it. I promise that I will get to the bottom of this."

Tsunade offered her hand and Jasmine took it.

Sense my pain?

She would think on it later. For now, she would follow Tsunade to the end of the world if it meant food in her belly.
