Chapter 2: The Breach, A Chance Encounter
REPORT LOG:
Item# SCP-7001
Object Class: Euclid
Description: SCP-7001 is an anomalous humanoid roughly around the age of eighteen, the subject's real name being (REDACTED). It is believed he is of Indian/Caucasian decent, though the entity's hair color is an unnatural silver-white color. Subject shows to be of a healthy and reasonable muscular physic, no signs of illness or deformities. At current the subject is being housed in Site-17 in (REDACTED). SCP-7001 is believed to be a Type Blue reality bender, though this could be changed if necessary. Thus far SCP-7001 has shown some psychic abilities ranging from telekinesis, to telepathy and other basic and common abilities, though after an incident leading to his discovery, it may be capable of much more. So far tests haven't awakened further developments. It has been shown that 7001 suffers from absolute amnesia only ever remembering its name, any attempts to help the subject reattain lost memories so far has failed.
Special Containment Procedures: Subject is to be kept in a 40 foot squared containment cell, and is free to make request that fall within reasons. The subject shows no hostility towards staff members and is shown to be polite if a bit introverted, though it has been shown to suffer emotional distress in certain instances during a few interviews.
Addendum: Ever since SCP-7001 had arrived on site various SCP objects have been acting erratically, and most of this has pertained to SCP- 953, who has expressed the desire to see this new anomaly. This request has obviously been denied. Studies reveal that it may be a psychic emission that is being pulsed from 7001 during states of great stress. It is imperative to keep the subject calm lest it may unleash more of its dormant power as what may explain the incident prior to its containment.
Incident Report-Clearance Level 4:
SCP-7001 was found on the 15 September, 2022 in (REDACTED), it was caught in a conflict between city law enforcement and an unknown terrorist cell that bombed the (REDACTED) at roughly 12:30pm. A Foundation agent was working under the cover of a policeman and bore witness to 7001's power, and fall unconscious after single-handedly disintegrating a falling skyscraper, though it is believed it was already out before activating its anomalous abilities. Subject would be retrieved by MTF Pi-1 (City Slickers) a half hour later and transferred to its current location at Site-17.
END LOG:
Roughly five days had passed since Alexis was detained by the SCP Foundation, though now he was referred to as SCP-7001, great, robbed of his only real identity. Ever since he arrived to Site-17, it had been primarily tests, the researchers would have him try to tap into his powers, but the most he could do was send a pipe flying or levitate it, and speak to people in their heads via telepathy. He had no idea what else he could do, but he honestly didn't care. All he cared about was figuring out the mysterious surrounding him, but he didn't know how to go about it. During the five days he already had made requests to have things for his containment room, a bookshelf with some fiction novels, a tv, and some art tools to draw or paint.
Alexis never really argued or had a problem with the staff, he even talked with some Class D personnel, though he kept it to a minimum, from what he understood these were people that were either life sentences or death row, not exactly a fun situation. He would be in for a surprise when he was introduced to two fellow anomalous humans, SCP-105 also known as Iris Thompson, and SCP-105C, a young Japanese teenager named Akira. It was nice to know that Alexis wasn't the only one in a precarious situation.
Night rolled around and Alexis was sound asleep on his bed, nothing to disturb him, at least until he was stirred by a faint voice.
"Hello?"
"!"
He jolted awake, looked around his containment room but saw nothing, who or what was calling for him? Judging by the echo like resonance, it was telepathic. He didn't know whether to respond or not but decided to take his chance.
"Hello? Who's there?"
"Hmhmhm. So you must be the newcomer to this dump."
Alexis noted that whoever was speaking to him was female and had a soothing voice.
"Who are you?" Alexis asked.
"Would you tell me your name first?"
"Alexis."
"Alexis huh? Well, you can call me Hei-Ran."
"Hei-Ran?"
"Yes."
"So, what do you want from me Hei-Ran?"
"I felt your psychic resonance and wanted to talk. It can get very lonely here." Hei-Ran said.
"Are you also an anomalous human Hei-Ran?"
"You could say that." Hei-Ran responded, though Alexis thought he heard a bit of edge in her tone.
"Hei-Ran, I need to get back to sleep, if you want to talk, we can do so at a better time, I've got a long day ahead of me tomorrow."
"You should feel spiteful that this organization has you locked up." Said Hei-Ran.
"I will admit I would rather be out and about trying to figure out my own past, but I don't think I can just live in society as I am, powers aside, I just feel, well, I don't even know."
"I see." Hei-Ran replied.
After that Alexis didn't hear anything else, so he decided to call it in for the night.
SCP-953, or Hei-Ran as she chose to call herself was mulling over her mental conversation with Alexis, she could trace a myriad of emotions in him, though the most prominent one was...sadness. Though she hated humans she actually felt pity for the young man. She would certainly take advantage of that should an opportunity present itself.
The following morning Alexis was being guided by Dr. Gracie to the testing chamber once again. It would be the same old routine of seeing if he could unlock more of his dormant power.
All was relatively calm at Site-17 and it was welcome to a lot of the staff, apparently it had been a good year since the last containment breach. Though that would spark rumors that it is building up to something insane. Of course that was just hapless here say. However that didn't mean complacency as that was grounds for trouble.
Speaking of trouble, unknown to anyone on site, the facility was secretly infiltrated by members of the Chaos Insurgency. An insurgent under the guise of a computer maintenance personnel was at one of the primary control rooms, much of which controls the containment systems. There ultimate goal, capture of the newest humanoid SCP.
"Alright, this is going to be a cross test, you will be introduced to SCP-343." Dr. Gracie said.
Alexis looked at the file regarding this entity as he read it close.
"So...this is supposed to be the Christian God?"
"We don't know for sure, speculation says he is just a really powerful reality bender with a god complex, so far he has shown no hostility and is open to conversation with staff members, but every interview we haven't gotten definite answers to the most important questions, I for one cannot trust this entity for any reason, I will not fall to potential mind manipulation."
"And if he truly is God?"
"If it is true, then you may just find what you're looking for if you're lucky."
Alexis shifted as he began to think, what could he ask a creator deity? 'Hey you mind restoring my memories?' That seemed to upfront.
"Step into the room, we'll be recording the conversation from an observation deck."
With that Dr. Gracie walked away. The large metallic doors slid open to reveal an open space chamber, there was a table in the center with two chairs on its ends, and sitting in one of the chairs was an old man, he had glistening white hair that passed his shoulders and a beard of the same color, his eyes had no pupils in them, he wore a very fancy suit and pants as he sipped on some tea.
Alexis was hesitant, this man had quite a presence to him. He wanted to move but he just didn't feel too comfortable.
"Come closer child, do not fear." The man spoke.
A wave of calm washed over him, and he began to approach the table, once he got to the table he sat down, thoughts constantly running through his head.
"I can feel your emotional state, you are stressed beyond belief, hungry for answers." The one called God said.
Alexis was briefly startled by this, but he had to take the opportunity for with the ice broken to speak.
"I know I'm here to ask general questions, but before we start can I ask you something on my account."
"Go on." God said in good gesture.
"Do you think you can help me remember what I can't?" Alexis asked with some sense of hope.
God was quiet with a look of contemplation on his face, he looked in deep thought.
"I am sorry to tell you that I cannot help."
"What!? But your God as you claim, how can you not help? Don't you know everything about your creations!?"
Alexis had jumped out of his seat with a look of complete anger. Just when he had hope, a way to figure things out, it was dashed just like that.
"You speak the truth child, I do know my creations, my children better then they know themselves, unfortunately, you are not one of them."
"!"
"You are confused?" God asked.
"How can I not be, it's bad enough I don't know my own past, it's even crazier to be told I'm not one of the creations of the supposed creator of everything."
"Alexis, I am truly sorry about your situation, I will say though that you are not the only one that is outside my hand of creation, but I have no idea who it was that made you, believe me when I say it even surprises me."
Alexis's shoulders sagged, he couldn't take anymore mysteries, he needed answers. Unconsciously he began to emit anomalous power. God seeing what was coming disappeared in a bright flash.
"Call off the cross testing! Get a containment team in there and sedate 6601 now!" One of the researchers.
The inside of the chamber began to get wrecked up by uncontrollable telekinesis, suddenly the systems of the facility began to go haywire, the metal four foot steel door opening on its own.
"What's going on?" Dr. Gracie asked.
"Something happened to the main systems! It's got nothing to do with the anomaly below-!"
The man was cut off when the intercom went off.
"Emergency evacuation of all on site personnel! We have been infiltrated by agents of the Chaos Insurgency. All online power systems have failed and containment breaches have begun!"
Down hallway 99, the containment chamber to 953 had opened up, it seems as though it was time to make her getaway. Shapeshifting into a full fox she bolted out, slaughtered three foundation guards and a scientist, and continued on.
She stopped for a brief moment to send out a psychic signal, she could feel it, the boy known as Alexis, smiling she decided to follow the trail.
"Come with me! We need to get you to a transport, we'll be going to another facility." Dr. Gracie said urgently as Alexis followed behind.
"What's the Chaos Insurgency?"
"Rogues who split from the Foundation, to put it short."
Rounding a corner they were intercepted by some armed hostiles. Two men with assault rifles immediately opened fired as Alexis ducked out of the way, Dr. Gracie was not so lucky as she was gunned down. Alexis would only look on as his therapist was still, wet red liquid pouring leaking to the floor.
"This might be the anomaly, proceed with caution, prepare for capture."
"Good thing we stole some Scranton Reality Anchors for things like him sometime ago."
Alexis dashed away with the two aggressors on his trail, it was all insanity, what was he gonna do, it seemed they had a way of subduing his abilities. He was passing by an admin room when he felt a hand tug him down behind a desk, a hand over his mouth.
It was Iris, and next to her was Akira. They stayed absolutely silent, they could hear the sound of the armed men getting closer. What followed next gave them a small startle, gunfire broke out followed by the sound of quick but bloody killing. All fell silent, the three of the young anomalous humans looked over to see the downed insurgents.
What they saw next made Iris and Akira's eyes widen, as standing there blood stained was a beautiful woman with nine swaying fox tails and ears, SCP-953, and she immediately registered their presence. With a savage smile she charged the three of them. Alexis seeing death approach felt something well up within him in his state of fear. He gave an instinctive command.
"STOP!!!"
953 found herself frozen by some powerful force, she tried to resist but struggled. Iris and Akira looked on in amazement. Alexis seeing he still had control gave another command.
"On your knees."
953 felt her body go down as her knees collapsed. Then a thought registers in her head as she recognized the voice.
"So you're Alexis, you're even more handsome in person."
"Wait that voice. Hei-Ran?"
"Ahahaha!! You can call me that if you want."
"Alexis you know this monster?" Iris asked snapped out of her stupor.
"She psychically contacted me last night."
"Alexis, if you know what's good for you, you won't associate yourself with this monster, she has committed many atrocities." Akira warned.
Alexis looked over at Hei-Ran, who had a neutral expression on her face.
"Is this true?"
Hei-Ran said nothing, Alexis simply thought for a moment and decided to trust his friend's words.
"Sleep."
With that Hei-Ran had fallen unconscious. Alexis and the others left, quickly looking to get to an exit.
"We should link up with the staff, we need to get to those transports." Iris said.
"No! I'm not staying with the foundation." Alexis said.
"What?" Akira voiced.
"Look, I don't think I'll be able to find what I'm looking for if I stay with them, I need to get away."
"Easier said than done, the Foundation always find ways of re contain escaped anomalies, your asking for the impossible." Iris said trying to deter Alexis from a risky path.
"Then let them, I'll take the fight to them to keep myself free, I need to find out everything I can, I won't let them hinder me."
With that Alexis left leaving the other two with wide eyes. It took a lot of twists and turns while avoiding drawing attention to himself. It was difficult, but he managed to make it work by utilizing his powers to subdue any opposition, and knock them out quickly. Oddly enough there weren't many in his way, he believed this must have been quite a large invasion if it kept most of the guards busy, though intercom announcements said there were a couple of MTF teams on sight so he had to be careful.
Out of pure luck he found a massive whole in the wall, it lead to the outside and he had to take it.
"Wait!"
Turning behind him to his surprise, was Iris and Akira.
"You guys?"
"We're your friends, if you're really gonna do this, you're not doing it alone." Akira said.
"I've gotten pretty sick of confinement anyway." Iris followed up.
Alexis was at a loss for words till a small smile spread on his face. The party of three proceeded to take their first steps to the outside world and proceeded to run like hell. The sound of guns and explosions going off as they gained distance making it grow fainter.
They did not know how long they were sprinting for as they finally came to a stop to catch their breath. They needed to rest but they knew they had to keep moving and lay low for as long as it took.
"Well, first ride on the road of freedom." Akira said in a joking manner.
"We'll have to trek on soon, foundation operatives will be out and about soon." Iris said.
"Oh? You would leave little ol' me behind?"
All three froze stiff at the voice they heard. Looking over at the direction of the voice, it was none other than 953.
"Hei-Ran. Or is that actually your name." Alexis said.
"Hostile are we?"
"I thought Alexis knocked you out?" Akira said as fear flows through him.
"He did, but the affects didn't last long, it was strong but not strong enough it seems, I woke up not long after to have some of those MTF bastards upon me, I quickly disposed of them."
"And you decided to follow us!?" Iris snapped.
"Mind your tone camera girl, I didn't come to kill any of you."
"What?" Iris said confused.
"I'm here, for him."
953 pointed at Alexis, who looked on with narrowed eyes.
"What do you want from me?"
"Call it curiosity. In fact I simply just want to be near you."
"Yeah so you could do what? Eat my liver at my most vulnerable?"
"I could. But I won't, your friends though."
Iris and Akira went on guard.
"Don't even think about it." Alexis growled.
"I'm joking."
"What's your game?" Asked Alexis.
"I want my freedom, and I think I'll have a better chance by sticking with your group. I won't harm any of you, and I simply want to spend some time with handsome here, plus you could use an effective scout."
Alexis said nothing but had a slight blush on his face. Iris went up to him with concern.
"You're not gonna consider it are you? Just subdue her again."
"I got exhausted using my powers. We'll have to accept her offer."
Iris bit her lip. But at this point it was all up to fate.
"You can come. However if you try to do anything, you will be subdued and left to be found and contained. If I don't kill you myself." Alexis threatened.
"How gracious of you." 953 bowed in mock manner.
"So are you coming or not 953?"
"I have a small little favor to ask before we go."
"And that is?"
"I want you to still call me Hei-Ran."
Alexis looked at her for a moment and said his response.
"Very well...Hei-Ran."
With that the party of four made their trek after the agreement but the air would be tense throughout.
"I didn't like this, if we get eaten, I'm beating your ass in Hell." Iris hissed.
"Duly noted." Alexis said.
