Beneath the ocean floor
Inside the deepest parts of the ocean were a large school of fish swimming around without any form of worry or care. Suddenly, the fish separate and swim away frightened at what they saw. What they saw was the face of the King of the Monsters himself...Godzilla.
Godzilla opened one eye lid to reveal his large orange colored eye looking across the ocean. Letting out a huge yawn, Godzilla swam towards the surface of the ocean and emerged. He began approaching a huge island in front on him before eventually reaching it's shores with each footsteps on the wet and slimy sand letting out a loud thud.
If looks can kill you can tell that the Monster King had went through a lot over the years now since his return from that magical world he almost called home. He had grown more in size at about three hundred and eight feet, he gained a lot of weight in both fat and muscle, his large sharp teeth shrank down, his skin color changed from dark shade of green to a greyish color, his dorsal fins were less jagged, and his atomic breath turned into a more bluish color and orange. At this stage of his life now it was time to face the music...he was old with lots of wear and tear throughout his body. With each step he was taking was both slow and painful...he didn't have the healing ability he once had as the scars from his previous battles was still shown. Every time he would use his atomic breath, it was almost like a poison to him now...like it might be the very thing that is killing him now.
Godzilla continued on until he came upon a large sight never before seen by man...it was a graveyard. Inside this graveyard were giant skeletons of other giant creatures that he would watch over ever since he defeated King Ghidorah to reclaim his title of King. Eventually, he approached the one skeleton he came to visit...a giant gorilla. Godzilla approached the skeleton and bent down to one knee bowing his head in sorrow.
It was funny to the once Monster King, at one time this giant ape Kong was once his greatest rival, but after their big battle in Hong Kong and the fact that Kong saved his life from that giant robot version of himself actually made them become good friends...even brothers. They even teamed up against a common enemy that started the whole war between their ancestors all those years ago.
The sad reality of all this was that Godzilla and Kong were the main ones that protected humanity from all these evil creatures...but now it was humanity that destroyed them. No longer being called Titans but now Kaijus...humans created these giant fighting robots and began killing any titan in site. There was nothing Godzilla could do as he swore to protect the human race but alas he needed to protect the ones he cared about. He began to have many thoughts tracing his mind of both anger and hate...but the one thing that had kept him from continuing with that mindset was the kindness of a human girl that cared for him and loved him no matter how deadly or ferocious he was...Melody.
Suddenly, Godzilla could hear a low roar as he turned to see two skull crawler sized Kaijus approaching him. These weren't the titans Godzilla watched over oh no, these were created by something not of this world. Godzilla knew they were not friends as he dealt with them before but there were a few close calls since he wasn't like he once was. With that Godzilla looked back a bit and picked up Kong's giant axe clutching it like a weapon and letting out a might roar ready for a fight.
Eric's Palace
In another universe, was a small little town near a gigantic ocean. This little town was filled with people wondering around greeting each over warmly and little children running around playing. at the back end of it all was a giant palace home to Prince Eric and his wife Princess Ariel along with their daughter Melody.
Inside the palace was Melody herself looking out of her bedroom window at the ocean that laid in front of her. It had been over a year now since the second Morgana incident and all had been well but the one thing she couldn't stop thinking about was the one good thing that came out of that mess...Spiny.
Yes it turns out Spiny this whole time was real...she never was dreaming. She was able to get that information out of one of her good friends Tip after he accidentally name dropped him one night when they were playing in the ocean.
Melody then looked over at her bag of sea shells and removed the one thing that stood out was the piece of skin she found a year ago. She stared at the piece of skin with tears streaming down her face wishing that her newfound friend was still here.
"Oh Spiny, I wish you were still here...we could have found a way for you to stay with us," thought Melody to herself.
Suddenly, Melody heard a knock from her door and turned to see her mother entering the room with a smile on her face wearing a blue dress and a blue bow wrapped around her red hair in a pony tail.
"Melody sweetie, are you ready to go visit Fredrick and his family?"
Melody turned away from her mother not wanting to talk to her after discovering about Spiny. Ariel took notice of this as her smile became a look of concern now on her face. Ariel approached her daughter placing her hand on her daughter's left shoulder and asking in a calm tone, "What's wrong sweetheart?"
Melody couldn't hide it anymore...the time was now to learn the truth. With a slight turn towards her mother, Melody gave her mother an angry look with tears streaming down her face and showing Ariel the piece of skin she found.
Ariel looked on shocked at what Melody had in her hand asking in surprise, "Where did you find that?"
"I found it a year ago...I thought this whole time I was dreaming about Spiny and it turns out he was real this whole time! You, dad, and Grandpa...you all lied to me! Why mom!?"
Ariel could hear the anger coming from her daughter's voice and it was understandable, she knew that this day would come that Melody would need to know the truth eventually as the short amount of time her and Spiny knew each other, they grew really close almost more than just a pet to it's owner...but like siblings almost.
"Melody, we agreed that if Spiny grew to big then he would have to leave the palace, we still wanted him around Melody but we couldn't find him after he faced off with the Kraken...it's almost as if that thing took him away somewhere."
"So you never even tried to find him!? For all we know now he could be dead now! Grandpa would have found some way to shrink him back down it's because of that amulet that Spiny grew to big!" lashed out Melody.
"You don't know that Melody, he could still be out there now and even if you did find him daddy wouldn't be able to shrink him...the power that came from that amulet was more powerful than the trident," argued Ariel back but in her still calm demeanor.
"How would you know if we didn't try mom!? He was apart of our family he deserved that chance! Now he's gone and it's all your fault!"
Melody then took off running crying out loud running past her father, who was entering the room to check out the commotion, with Ariel yelling out, "Melody!"
Ariel lowered her head in sadness as Eric approached her and hugged her before asking, "What happened between you and Melody?"
"She found out about Spiny Eric."
Eric let out a silent oh and looked down at the floor as Ariel continued, "She's right though Eric...we could have at least tried to look for him and try to shrink him back down after all he did for us."
Eric looked back at his beautiful wife and could see the small tears streaming down her face before pulling her in close. He too felt the same way as her, they should have at least tried to search for him he deserved that much.
"Don't worry, we can fix this...in the morning I'll begin a search party and we'll start looking for Spiny."
Ariel broke away a bit and grew a huge smile on her face before saying, "Yes! I'll send Tip and Dash to Atlantica and have them tell Daddy to start a search party as well. Hopefully this will help make amends with Melody."
Meanwhile outside the palace, Melody is seen walking on the beach lowering her head down in sadness. She looked out across the ocean wondering whether or not Spiny truly was gone or if he was still out there somewhere deep in the ocean.
"Oh Spiny...where are you?"
"I know where he is!" yelled out a voice nearby.
With a gasp Melody turned to see an elderly asian man, sporting a long white beard and mustache comb and wearing a green robe, walking with a cane approaching her.
"Who...who are you?" asked Melody suspiciously.
"My apologies miss...I didn't mean to frighten you it has been sometime since I last spoken to someone. I am called the Old Master and who might you be?"
Melody looked at the old man and didn't know whether to trust him or not...there have been times she had been tricked before and she wasn't gonna let it happen now. However, this man seemed friendly enough and less dangerous what kind of harm could he bestow upon her and if he did know where Spiny was then this was her chance to find out.
"My name is Melody...pleased to meet you Old Master."
The Old Master let out a warm smile to her appreciating her answer considering they have just met.
"well then Melody...I overheard you mention Spiny and couldn't help but mention that to you."
"So...so you really know where he is?" asked Melody curiously.
The Old Master let out a small smile before answering to her, "Of course! He's actually in another universe!"
The Old Master's answer struck her like a huge tidal wave...another universe? Does this mean that there are more universes out there? She had heard stories from an old mer-storyteller but thought all those were just tall tales.
"So it is true...there really is other universes out there?"
"Yes and in this particular one is a universe where giant monsters ruled the Earth and the one that ruled them all was the King of the Monsters himself...Godzilla or as you know him as...Spiny," answered the Old Master with that same smile.
Melody looked on shock she could hardly believe it...her newfound friend was literally from another universe and seen as a King! All that didn't matter though as she needed to find him and fast.
"How can I get to him? What do I need to do to get to this other universe?"
The Old Master stuck his hand out and Melody knew instantly what he was wanting. She handed the Old Master the piece of skin and with a flick of his finger a surge of green energy left his fingertip and surrounded the piece of skin. The piece of skin glowed in that green color until a surge of energy beamed out of the skin and opened a portal with an island within it's sight.
Melody was amazed by this and couldn't believe what she was seeing...a whole new world.
"This is where your friend is at...use my magic to shrink Godzilla and he can become the Spiny you knew."
The Old Master handed her the piece of skin back looking down upon it. who would have thought that now her second newfound friend knew magic as well but good magic. She looked back up ready to thank him...but he had disappeared. Melody then looked straight at the portal with a look of determination on her face.
"Hang on Spiny...I'm coming."
Little did Melody know that both her parents were just now exiting the palace to see Melody running through the portal.
"Melody!" They both yelled.
Tip and Dash came up from behind them as Ariel told them, "Tip, Dash, head to Atlantica and tell Daddy what just happened."
"You got it Ariel!" yelled out Tip with a salute as he and Dash headed straight for the ocean.
Ariel and Eric looked at the portal and then each other as they too then entered the portal as well before it closed behind them.
Godzilla's Island
Back in Godzilla's universe, Godzilla had just finished his battle with the two kaijus...he was tired and worn out from the battle. He sat down while clutching the axe by the bottom of the bone hilt. Godzilla wiped the blue blood from his face letting out deep heavy breaths.
Meanwhile, Melody was seen walking through a small section of forest amazed at the sight she was seeing. She arrived in an are that caused her to gasp at the sight. It was a massive graveyard with giant skeletons everywhere. Melody didn't know what she was seeing or believing and in a way it was making her very sad as she soon realized that Spiny was the last of his creature in this planet. However, the one thing that truly caught here eye was who she was looking for...Spiny! She looked closely at him and saw how different he was since the last time she saw him. He looked older and a lot worse for wear...but can tell that he was still that fierce fighter that would stand toe to toe with Morgana and Undertow. She looked down at the piece of skin and then right back at him before beginning her approach.
Back to Godzilla, Godzilla decided he was about to close his eyes and rest a bit...the battle really did where him out and was a bit longer than what he normally liked. As he closed his eyes images began going through his head of the other world he was at where all the guests were happy, dancing, and greeting him warmly. Eventually, he would run across the girl that showed nothing but kindness to him and convinced him to work and help with humanity more than so than destroy it...Melody.
"Spiny!"
Godzilla and Melody embraced each other as the two broke away a bit with Melody continuing to call him by the name she gave him, "Spiny...Spiny...Spiny..."
Suddenly, Godzilla awoke to actually hear her voice call out, "Spiny!"
Though it was low due to his size he could actually hear the voice. Was this for real? Was this a dream? There was no way Melody was here.
"Spiny!"
Godzilla then looked down towards the direction of the voice to see it was indeed true...it was Melody. Before he could even react, Melody raised up what seemed to be a small green rock to him only for it to blast him with a green energy beam. Before he knew it he began to shrink down along with his weapon where eventually he was back to being ten feet tall from when he was in Melody's world.
Godzilla looked around him to see the trees back to being bigger than him and then looked back towards the direction of Melody who stared at him with tears streaming down her face.
"Me...Me...Melody?"
Godzilla stopped himself for a second...did he just talk? This was the first time he ever heard anything come out his mouth besides growls and roars. Whatever magic Melody used on him it made him not only shrink...but talk as well.
All that didn't matter though as Melody immediately and without hesitation jumped towards Spiny and gave him a huge hug. She was letting out loud cries of joy deep in Godzilla's chest. Godzilla couldn't help but almost feel the same way and with a few strands of tears running down his face returned the hug without trying to crush her with his strength.
They soon broke the hug as Godzilla asked with his now newfound voice, "what are you doing here Melody?"
"I came to bring you home Spiny!"
Melody looked now more closely at her friend...he had indeed seen better days. She can see the scars on his body and can tell that he didn't heal as quick as he did that night after he fought the crocodiles. This gave her a new determination to bring him home so she can take care of him now like he did for her several times.
Before Godzilla could respond, he could hear two voices cry out, "Melody!"
Both of them turned to see none other than Eric and Ariel approaching them with both of them looking on shock.
"Spiny?" asked Ariel in shock and awe.
"Ariel? Eric?" asked Godzilla in surprise as well.
This was wild to Godzilla, first Melody came for him and now her parents who was next at this point.
"Melody...how did you find this place and how did you shrink Spiny down...and gave him the ability to talk?" asked Eric curiously.
Before Melody could answer, all four of them were then held by green energy rings. They all looked to see the Old Master approaching them boasting out a huge wicked laugh.
"Because of me."
The Old Master then changed before their eyes as he looked a lot younger clean shaven with long black hair with his green robe now sporting golden armor pads and chest pieces.
Godzilla growled at the Old Master demanding in a tone of anger, "who are you Sorcerer?"
"I am Shang Tsung and I have come for a special soul."
Eric glared at Shang Tsung lashing out at him, "If you want my daughters soul...your gonna have to get through me first!"
Shang Tsung let out a laugh. How hilarious it was to him that Eric was trying to threaten him.
"Save your bold statements Prince Eric...they mean nothing to me. You on the other hand Monster you truly are threatening. At least when you were still a threat...now your all alone with no friends...no family...no son."
Godzilla gave Shang Tsung the kind of look that showed nothing but pure rage and hatred as he snapped his jaws right at Shang Tsung that caused him to fall down backwards until he used his magic to close Godzilla's mouth.
Melody looked around until she realized that she was still clutching the piece of skin.
"Sorry Mom and Dad...I promise we'll comeback for you guys," thought Melody as she was about to pull the stupidest thing she could possibly do.
"That's where your wrong Shang Tsung...he has us!"
Melody dropped the piece of skin down to the ground as it's magic opened up another portal and her and Godzilla fell down through it.
"No!" yelled out Shang Tsung as Eric and Ariel also yelled out, "Melody!"
The portal then closed before Shang Tsung can jump through it. He pounded the ground down in anger letting out a loud yell.
Shang Tsung glared at Ariel and Eric before pointing towards them saying, "No matter what...that soul will soon be mine!"
