Wendy Tanner was sitting outside at the yard table, that her brother Danny had just bought recently for his back yard. Just enjoying her morning coffee at seven in the morning on a Saturday. As she took another drink of her hot coffee and lean back against the chair she was sitting in, Wendy brought her hand up as a huge grin spread across her face as she couldn't stop staring at her engagement ring. Yes after being together for nearly three years, Joey Gladstone finally had the courage and asked Wendy to marry him last night, over dinner. It was the most romantic thing ever.
When they first started dating three years ago, Wendy wasn't really sure if they were actually going to make it this far. Hell she didn't really expect her relationship with Joey to last this long since she never really stayed in a relationship for very long. Just like Danny told Joey once she's usually the one who ends a relationship before it gets too serious, which she almost did when her and Joey had reached their six months anniversary Wendy wanted out of the relationship. But Joey didn't want to give on them and he didn't want her to give on them as well. Joey had shown Wendy what true love truly meant and she would always love him for it.
" That ring looks good on you." Joey said softly as he leans down and kisses her cheek softly as he sat down beside her." Have you told anyone yet?" He asked as he grins at her.
Wendy shook her head as she looks over at him." I was waiting for you. I was hoping we can tell them together over breakfast. " She said with a smile as she looks at her engagement ring again.
" Well come on, we can tell everyone right now. Danny just got done making breakfast and everyone's is all sitting around the table." Joey answered as he got up from his seat and held his hand out to Wendy for her to take which she did. As Joey pulled Wendy up and out of her seat he wrapped his arm around her waist and walked through the kitchen with her.
" Hey, there you guys are." Danny said as soon as he noticed his best friend and sister walking through the back door together as he set a huge stack of pancakes in the middle of the kitchen table for everyone to take." I hope you guys are hungry. " He said as he sat down.
" We're starving. But before we eat. Wendy and I have something we wanna tell everyone." Joey announced as he took Wendy's hand and locked his fingers with her as he glanced over at her with a grin across his face.
" What's going on Joe?" Jesse asked as he placed three pancakes on to his plate.
Joey took a deep breath as he looked at everyone around the table." Well, guys. Wendy and I getting married." He announced with so much excitement and joy in his voice as he couldn't stop smiling as he noticed everyone was getting up from the table and walked toward them.
" This is the best news ever!!"Michelle said excitedly as she looked up at Joey." I now get to call you uncle Joey." She said as she hugs Joey as he got down to her level and gave him a kiss on the cheek. In secret Michelle always thought of Joey as her uncle and now that he's gonna marry her Aunt Wendy, he officially will be.
After the girls and Jesse congratulated Joey and Wendy on their engagement. Danny walked up to the happy couple as he stood in front of them as he wasn't sure what to say as he was still shock about the news. All his life Danny never thought his baby sister would actually get married. Let alone marry his long life best friend. When he first learn that they both liked each other like truly liked each other, Danny would admit he had his doubts first, since he was afraid that Wendy would break Joey's heart just like she used to other men in her past relationships. Danny just didn't want to see his best friend get hurt.
" So, what you think? Do you think you can handle two brother in laws now?"Joey asked Danny with a chuckle as he wrapped his arm around Wendy's waist and pulls her ever closer to his side as he waits for Danny's answer.
" Before I give you my answer. Just let me ask you one thing. Are you sure you really wanna do this? Because marriage is hard work and you both really gotta stay committed to each other." Danny said honestly.
Wendy moved away from Joey as she walked up towards Danny." Look Danny, I know in the past that I have always end my relationships with other guys before they've gotten started. Well that's because I always knew in my heart that they would never work out. So I broke their hearts before they could break mine. But now that I'm with Joey and I know that this relationship is gonna work out, I'm happy. For the first time in my life, I'm truly happy and it's because of Joey."
Danny sighs with a chuckle as he knew Wendy was actually telling the truth." Well, you know that I've always considered you as my brother not just my best friend Joey and you're already part of this family anyway. But of course this make it official. " Danny said with a smile as he gave the happy couple his blessing.
After Joey and Wendy hugged Danny and gave him their thanks. They all joined the rest of the family for breakfast. As Danny sat down and watched the two happy couple and saw how truly happy they are together. He started to remember how he felt when he asked Vicki to marry him, and now they are happily married and he wouldn't change it for the world.
" So, when do you want to have the wedding?" Becky asked as she was helping the twins with their pancakes.
Wendy shrugged her shoulders as she really haven't thought about it." Well, we really haven't talked about it since we just got engaged last night." Wendy admitted with a smile as she felt Joey lock his fingers with hers.
" Can we help with the wedding planning?" DJ asked as she couldn't wait to get start with the wedding planning already.
" Of course you girls can. Once Joey and I decide on a month and date. You three girls can help with the wedding planning." Wendy answered with a chuckle as she saw all three of her nieces faces light up with excitement.
As Joey watched Wendy and everyone around the table he started to remember how much he always wanted a family. Ever since his dad left after his parents divorced. It was him and his mom and Joey always sorta felt lonely mostly because he never had a real family until now that is. Of course this is his family and he wouldn't trade all of this for anything. It's just now that's gonna marry Wendy, he's officially gonna be part of this family and he loves it.
AN: My first full house story. I hope there's people out there that's still reading full house stories lol.
