It was now several nights later i had lost count days ago but Matt kept marking off his calendar. Life living by the Dixon's weren't bad we mostly kept our distance. I had began to teach Matt to shoot his bow and he was getting good at it. Sam was trying to learn but wasn't very go at but he tried. Ethan was getting used to not having less than normal food. I had ration all of our intake like the military did to make our food last as long as possible. I knew that I would have to get out eventually to get more food and even head into the city but I was hoping the longer I waited the walkers would start to clear out.

I was changing the boys into their night clothes when I got a knock at the Rv door. It was about an hour since I had made the offer to the hunters since they came back from their last hunt with another big deer and would have too much meat for the two of them eat before it went bad. I had offer to give them some spices and canned goods for a portion of their meat. I would also give them some rice, pasta, or beans depending on what kind of meet they gave me. This way we still got fresh meat and could save ours that was in freezer for winter.

I open the door to find Daryl standing there with a small portion of the deer meat It was about a half of the deer. The deer was small to begin with so this was a lot for such a small deer. i was surprised that they had taken me up on my offer. I took the meat from him taking it over to the freezer which was empty except the frozen juice that I had bought for Ethan to drink and a couple packs of ground deer that I was saving for winter.

I grabbed 6 cans of beans. 3 were chili bean, 2 was corn and the last was baked beans, and 2 bag of rice in it before taking it over to Daryl who was now joined by Merle taking the food. I thanked them and they happily took the food from me. I had gave them enough food to make a chili or stew or both to feed them for the next few days. I was feeding Ethan his night bottle when I heard Merle talking loudly to some guy who was barking out orders at a group of people pulling into camp. We had been here about a week now and this was the first person we saw since I joined camp.

I got a tap on the door and Daryl was there motioning for me to step outside. "Matt you got your gun shoot anyone who isn't Me who walks through the door." I told him before closing it.

I saw that it was Shane's group from the rest area the day before. "I met him a week ago when his group of men which was smaller at the time tried to take the Rv thinking no one was in it." I told him.

"what happen." He asked

"I kicked all three of their asses and told them if they came near my Rv again I would kill them and left at 5 this morning while their watch person was sleeping." I told which made him snort.

"I am military or was before all this happen served 6 years overseas before getting transferred to the military academy when I was pregnant with Matt. I had Matt 10 years ago. I have been teaching at the academy for almost 11 years now. I had Sam 3 years ago and then my husband was killed in action when i was 3 months pregnant with Ethan last year he is just now 3 months." I told Daryl who was surprised to hear this.

"Watch Shane he wants to be leader and kill who ever gets in his way. I've seen the look in his eyes he got when I took that power from him and that is look of a man who is losing control of himself one trigger and he will be of the rails." I told Daryl

Shane was now having people unload their food, water, and medical supplies into a couple bags he had telling them that if they stayed they had to piles their resources together in order to stay. Some people left to spend the night else were. I looked at Daryl before shaking my head. Ethan was halfway through his bottle now and I stopped and burped him before giving him the rest of it. Once he was done with his bottle I burped him again. I watched Shane and his group for about an hour and a half while they unloaded supplies and started setting up their camp.

It was another hour of watching them before they got some what settled in before Shane notice me. Now Shane was headed my way not looking happy at all. I was arranging Ethan in my arms so he could sit on my hip and still look around at the same time. I rolled my eyes this was going to be interesting to see how this plays out. I knew he would be mad that I had left that morning but I wasn't about to give him any of my supplies as long as I was alive that is. Shane had now reached where I was standing with Ethan who was mostly asleep.

"Hey where the hell did you go. I told you that I wanted to talk to you and you upped and left during the night." He yelled at me causing Ethan who was almost asleep start crying.

"First stop yelling your scaring my son. Second It not my fault that your watch guy decided to take a nap and 5 in the morning isn't night. Third I didn't want or have to talk to you." I told him trying to quiet him down again but it wasn't working.

"Mom everything okay want me to come get Ethan." Matt asked sticking just his head outside the Rv door.

"Everything is fine sweetie why don't you and Sam grab a snack and find a movie for us to watch. i will be in in a few minuets for us to watch it before bed." I told him looking over my shoulder as I called this to him.

"We agreed to talk." Shane said.

"No you demanded we talk and I told you to leave me alone that I wanted to nothing to do with you or your group." I told Shane heading back to my Rv.

He grabbed my arm stopping me and Making Daryl and Merle look up from where they were watch us. I guess me and boys made a impression on them after all. I tried to pull my arm from his grip but he just tighten it so that I couldn't at least not with Ethan in my arms. What made me madder was that he knew this and was doing it anyway he was trapping me. I focused and let my instinct take over annualizing the threat and trying to find a way out of it.

"Let me go" I demanded him raising my voice getting attention.

"Let me the fuck go now" I said louder making some of the group head our way as I tried to pull out of his grip again.

"What's going on here." asked Glenn.

"This bastard came over to me and started yelling, woke my baby up and now won't let me tend to my children who are waiting on me. That's what going on." I said to the group that had now formed.

"No your kids are just fine in that Fancy Rv. Now we need to talk about you leaving last night with out talking to me like we agreed on." Shane said not letting my arm go.

"No Now let me go." i said tucking Ethan into my chest and building up momentum before yanking my arm free from his grasp but it made me stumble and almost fall if not for Daryl who grabbed me I would have.

"Your apart of the group now honey so you need to give up all the food, water, and medical supplies you have for betterment of the group." Shane started but I stopped him by laughing.

"What's so funny" the brown hair woman he was with demanded loudly making Ethan start crying again. Just great I thought to myself

"Just a couple things is all. First you come yell at me make my son cry and then hold me against my will. Then you demand I had over the supplies that i worked for, paid for, and risked my life for demanding I'm part of your group when I don't know a single damn name of any of you. Why would I follow some man who demands what isn't his and likes touching when you ask him not to. ON top of all that we haven't even addressed the way you barged into my camp area and now is taking over with out even talking to me or the Dixon's first that's what funny." I told her rudely rocking Ethan in my arms.

"Shhhhh Buddy it's okay" I tell him softly as I tried to stop him from crying.

It wasn't working at all. I tried to give him his bottle while the group watch but he wouldn't take it. I tried holding him against my shoulder but that didn't work either and I could tell that Shane was getting annoyed with him still crying. He was making a good bit of noise but I was doing everything I could thank of to get him to stop crying but he just wouldn't. I was stressing out because I didn't know what was wrong with him. I tried walking him back and forth to calm him down and when that didn't work. I tried his pacifier and it didn't work either. Shane choose this time come over to where I was pacing with Ethan rocking him.

"Would you shut that thing up." Shane demanded rudely to me making Daryl and Merle head my way.

"Don't you think I'm trying to." I asked him rudely back.

"Don't talk to him like that." Lori demanded loudly causing Ethan to cry even louder.

"Thanks just want I need a loud mouth bitch telling me how to raise my baby." I told her rocking him more getting him to quiet down a little.

"Hey don't talk to her that way." Shane said grabbing my arm.

"Whoa Man let her go she holding a baby for crying out loud." T-dog stepped in and said.

"Fine." Shane said letting me go

"I'm going to take my son to my Rv and put my boys to bed so your going to leave me alone for the night." I told the group taking Ethan towards the Rv.

"Wait a minuet were not done talking" Shane said trying to stop me but Daryl stopped him.

"Yes we are now leave me alone so I can get my son to stop crying." I told him going to the Rv.

I went into the Rv shutting the door behind me and locking the door. I saw Sam and Matt still up waiting on me. I had been out there for almost an hour arguing with Shane and Lori the brown haired bitch he is with. Ethan by now was fussy wanting to go to sleep since it was past time. I notice that when I got in the Rv Ethan had quit whining and crying since I got him away from Shane. And now he took his bottle to so my guess was that he just was like me and didn't like him. I was feeding Ethan when I checked on the boys who were waiting patiently for me to finish with Ethan.

"Do you boys want anything before bed." i asked them knowing that I haven't been spending a lot of time with them since all this started a about a week ago.

"Can I have a snack before bed." asked Sam.

"Me too." Matt added.

"Sure go grab on and we can watch some NCIS before bed." I told them smiling.

I put Ethan in his moses basket and took it to the bedroom and changed his diaper before putting him back in. I laid him down and sat with him until he fell asleep. Which didn't take long at all since he was excused from all that crying earlier. I went and grabbed a snack too a bag of chips before joining the boys on the couch. I sat in the middle with a boy on each side. Sam lasted barley half an episode before he fell asleep. I picked him up carried him to his bed so that I wouldn't wake him. I made sure to cover him up and shut the door behind me. I went and watched two more episodes with Matt before we called it a night and went to bed. I tucked Matt in before handing him his hunting knife and gun.

"I'm going to do a patrol around camp before bed." I told Matt.

"Do you want me to stay up and wait on you." Matt asked.

"NO you can go to sleep if you want." I told him

"No i will stay up." Matt said getting up and grabbing a book.

"Okay I will be back soon watch your brothers." I said kissing him before leaving.

I grabbed my hunting knife, handgun, and bow an arrows before putting on my boots and flashlight. I left the Rv locking it behind me. I headed towards the woods behind the Dixon's tent. I passed Daryl who was cleaning his crossbow on the way. He looked at me with a frown on his face as I entered the woods. i saw that they had put up a sting of cans for a warning system and I stepped over them going deeper into the woods. I walked a good ways into the woods checking for walkers before heading back. I notice half way through I was being followed so it must have been Daryl since he is the only one I know that could walk as quietly as he was through the woods.

I stopped behind a tree and waited for him to catch up which he did. I grabbed his arm twisting it behind his back surprising him and making him drop his crossbow. I brought him to his knees before he realized what was going on. The military training did come in handy after all so many years later. i let him go after a minuet and let him up handing him his crossbow. Before walking back through the woods towards the Rv again with him following me now.

"Why are you following me." I asked him

"You were going into the woods at night." Daryl said.

"Yeah I was checking for walkers before going to bed." I told him walking out of the woods.

I walked back into the Rv locking the door behind me. i checked and made sure that everything was locked and turned off before going to tell Matt that I was back.I found that Matt was still up reading his book. When He saw that I was in he put his book down, turned out his lamp and went to bed. I kissed him and covered him up before going and putting my weapons in the weapons cabinet. I went to the bathroom and changed before going to bed myself. I woke up in the middle of the night twice to feed and changed Ethan and then went back to bed. I woke up late the next morning to find that the sun was already up and shining through the window.

I got up and found that it was already almost nine which was strange because Ethan usually ate around 7 and I didn't wake up to feed him. I went to the kitchen and saw that Matt was there sitting on the couch with Ethan's moses basket beside him and Sam was at the booth coloring with half a pop-tart on the table beside the coloring book. I went over and saw Ethan was back asleep already which meant Matt had not only fed him but changed his diaper to.

"Why didn't you wake me." I asked Matt

"You were tried and went to bed late so I watched Ethan for you." he said

"Well thank you. What time did he eat." I asked.

"He woke up early at 6:30 instead of 7 and wouldn't take his pacifier so I went ahead and fed him." Matt said.

"Okay so what have you and Sam had besides a snack." I asked him

"Nothing we split a pop-tart but Sam didn't want his since it was cinnamon." Matt said frowning at Sam.

"Okay so why don't I make some eggs for us just two each should tide us over till lunch." I told Matt.

I went into the kitchen and got 5 eggs out of the fridge and started cooking them. I was putting two eggs on a plate for me and Matt while Sam got one since he was younger and ate less. I set Sam's down on the table across from him making him clean up before eating. Matt and I joined him leaving Ethan sleeping on the couch in his basket. I was half way through eating when someone banged on my door loudly causing us to jump and Ethan to wake up and starts crying. I walked over and picked up Ethan to quiet him down and Matt opened the door for me. I saw that it was Shane and Lori.

"Yes" I asked rocking Ethan.

"We came to talk about supplies." Lori said like it was the most obvious thing in the world.

"Well next time wait until I come out of the Rv because once again my baby is woken up from sleeping because of you two." I told her

"Matt take Sam and get dressed please your clothes already laid out on the bed." I told Matt and getting a frown from Sam.

"Now leave. I will be out after Ethan gets fed and I get dressed Me and the boys are going hunting today." I told them shutting the door in their faces.

I made Ethan 5 bottles before feeding him one. Matt and Sam came out dressed and ready to go in their hunting gear. I handed Ethan off to Matt to watch while I got ready. I put on my hunting gear before putting on my boots. I grabbed Matt and Mine bow out of the weapons cabinet. We were going to get squirrel and rabbit hunting. I would kill a deer if we came across it but we were looking for one. I just wanted enough meat to make dinner for a few days then I would go hunting again. I was packing my military backpack with what we would need while on the trip. I didn't really want to take Sam and Ethan with me but Matt really wanted to go and It would go faster getting meat this way so It should only take a few hours tops.

I put diapers, wipes, change of clothes, blanket, lunch, water, snacks, extra ammo, extra gun, bottles for Ethan, and extra arrows for our bows. I was putting on Ethan sling and exiting the bedroom to find that Matt was getting lunch ready while Ethan sat with Sam on the couch. Matt was washing off some apples and carrots. I also added a can of peas and corn to the backpack. I was adding water bottles on top for all of us. I picked up Ethan and put him in his sling then put Sam on my back in the child carrier. Matt would be carrying to light backpack into the woods until we got deep enough to hunt then Sam would get down so we could hunt. I walked out of the Rv to find Shane and Lori both standing there waiting on me.

"Here go on and start hunting or we won't have protein for supper." I told Matt handing him his bow.

"What do you want I'm trying to get food for my family to eat tonight." I told them shifting Sam on my back.

"We have to talk about your supplies." Shane said.

"There is nothing to talk about my supplies are my supplies. They belong to me and only me. If you need supplies go find your own it's what I did." I told him taking Sam off my back for now and letting out of the carrier since I wasn't going anywhere anytime soon by the looks of things.

"Matt change of plans come take your brother back into the Rv while I argue with Shane about us staying here." I yelled to Matt who was at the edge of the woods.

"But Mom it's hunting day." He complained.

"Matt I know it's hunting day but Shane and Lori don't give a damn if it's hunting day or not all they want is for us to share our supplies with them instead of going out and getting their own." I told Matt bluntly.

"So don't give it to them their big girls and big boys they can get their own like we did." Matt said surprising everyone but me.

"Just take Sam in the Rv and watch Tv we will go hunting another day maybe Daryl will take you later." i told him opening the Rv door for Matt and Sam to go in.

"How about you do your group and leave mine alone." I told Shane.

"Who's your group." Lori asked crossing her arms.

"Me and my kids of course who else." I told her.

"We need at least half your supplies if your going to stay." Shane said.

"Well it's a good thing that I was here first isn't it." I told him before walking off to the Dixon camp where Daryl was sitting.

"Hey will you take Matt hunting he wants to get some meat for Dinner." I asked him nicely

"No" he grunted

"Will you take him in to the woods while he hunts. Hell you can even hunt to just make sure no walkers get him." I told him.

"Fine but I ain't no babysitter." He said grabbing his crossbow and getting up.

"Thanks I will go get him." I told him heading towards the Rv.

I opened the Rv and went inside to get Matt who was playing with Sam at the booth. I went into the bedroom and grabbed a change of clothes into the bag incase he stayed out over night or had to change he got blood on them from cleaning the animals. I also quickly packed him a small bag of water and can of peas with an apple for later. I added extra ammo and hunting knife into the bag. I went to the booth were Matt was sitting and handed him the bag. I knew that he could take care of himself but now the world was different so I was more worried then normal. If we would have been at our hunting cabin and the dead hadn't started walking I would have let Matt go out hunting on his own since Michael's family owned the land it sat on.

"Matt Daryl going to watch you while you hunt go on he is waiting on you. Take you gun with you just in case and be carful please. " I told Matt handing him his bow and kissing him on the head as he put on his orange vest before leaving the Rv to join Daryl
