Auhtor's Note: Hi! So way back in April I was doing some fic requests on Twitter for the intimate moments meme. Three of those requests were Dimileth! I meant to post these a while back as I liked them but kept forgetting. I was then informed the Dimileth AO3 tag is close to 3K works(!), and thought I'll post these ficlets to inch the tag closer to that lol. For those that didn't read these on twitter, hope you enjoy them!

7- Smiling softly at each other from across the room (Dimileth)

For the past several days Dimitri went to Byleth's classroom for extra tutoring. Axes and Reason were two of his weaknesses, so they would stay after class ended and the professor helped him with any questions he had.

Whenever they sat together, Dimitri's pulse raced at how close they were and how warm her breath was as she explained to him the different uses of each axe and how much calculation is needed for thoron. At times their hands almost touched, and it took all of his willpower to not have his fingers intertwined with hers. He sometimes got distracted gazing at her whenever the late afternoon sun went through and spotlighted her face like a singer on an opera stage.

"And that's how much Axe skill you need for a Silver Axe," Byleth said, causing Dimitri to blink and be pulled away from his musings.

"Hm? Oh sorry, Professor, my mind drifted there for a minute."

The professor gave her a small smile. "A bit tired? We can stop here for today if you want."

Dimitri admitted that he was a little tired. Both the professor's extra lessons, studying overnight, and squeezing in his usual training routine took a toll on him. He rubbed his forehead.

"Yes, I think that would be best." Dimitri rose from his chair, stretched his arms, and his stomach growled. He let out a sheepish laugh. "I guess it is about time that I go to the dining hall and grab something to eat."

"Sounds like a good idea. I got some papers to grade, so I'll join you later."

"Not a problem at all, Professor."

Dimitri made several steps forward, but before leaving the room he glanced at the professor. She straightened the papers for a second, only to then look up and offered him a soft smile. Dimitri's cheeks blushed and his heart jumped in elation, her radiated smile dazzling from the sunlight streaming through the window once more. He gave a soft smile of his own and headed out, looking forward to the professor joining him later.

19 Reassuring touches (Dimileth)

The day before the Kingdom army was to leave for Enbarr, Byleth visited Jeralt and Sitri's graves.

The sun was just beginning to set with the skies bright orange. She gazed at their graves in silence, thinking about how her parents were able to lay in rest together. How it was nice that they found each other while they were alive.

iOne day, I hope you'll give this ring to someone you love as well as I love her./i

Her father's words rang in her mind like the monastery's church bells. She pulled out the ring from her jacket, which Byleth had been carrying ever since she returned to Garreg Mach from her long slumber. Her fingers rubbed at the jewel, the tiny crystals on it sparkling like flames.

She kept it close with her despite marriage being the last thing on her mind due to the war going on. Jeralt would've wanted her to be happy with someone like he was with her mother, and now with the war almost over she wondered if there was someone she truly loved...

"Professor?"

Byleth finched upon being called. Was that voice Dimitri's? She hid the ring back inside her jacket and spun around to see him approaching her.

"Dimitri," Byleth said in a startled voice. "What are you doing here?"

"I was trying to find you and thought you might be here," Dimitri said, giving her a warm smile. "Saying goodbye to your parents before we leave for tomorrow?"

"You can say that," Byleth said with a sad smile. She turned back to look at their graves. "To think that we're finally near the end of the war."

"It's been a long road but we've made it all this far." He sighed and gazed up at the sky. "Even then, there's no guarantee that any of us will make it out alive."

Byleth's face fell and she gasped. She wanted to reassure him that wouldn't be the case, so the first thing she thought of doing was touching his cheek with her palm and offering him a soft kiss on the lips. His lips were chapped and tasted like the fish sandwich they had eaten earlier, but she didn't mind. When she finished, their gazes fixed on each other and she rubbed his arm affectionately.

"Both of us and all of our friends will make it out alive, I'll make sure of it."

Dimitri's eyes grew wide at that proclamation, but he then chuckled. He gently took her hand with his fingers rubbing on her knuckles.

"Then I promise to you and your parents that I'll do my best to stay alive."

With a beaming smile, Byleth knew at that moment Dimitri was whom she loved and wanted to spend the rest of her life with.

21-Cuddling in the first morning light (Dimileth)

Whenever Byleth had to leave for Garreg Mach for her archbishop duties, she always wished for Dimitri's presence. She missed the warmth of his palm whenever they held hands, his soft lips against hers, and them quietly watching the fireplace together in the castle's lounge. His visits were always a delight with them unable to keep their hands off one another and let go during their private moments together.

After a good night's sleep, Byleth's eyes fluttered from the first morning light that streamed through the windows of her room. She yawned and stretched her arms, basking in the sunlight's warmth. Her shoulders jumped at the sound of soft snoring, and she gazed down to see Dimitri still sleeping.

She smiled, thinking how relaxed and peaceful he looked. Byleth didn't want to get out of bed just yet, so she snuggled up against him and planted kisses on the back of his neck. That stirred Dimitri awake, and he flashed her an open-mouth smile.

"Oh, good morning beloved," he said in a drowsy and sweet voice.

"Good morning, dear," Byleth said before sharing a small kiss with him. "Had a good sleep last night?"

"I did, it was the best sleep I had in weeks." Dimitri pulled her against his chest and rubbed her back. He gave her a teasing smile. "I would've slept a bit longer if you hadn't rudely awakened me."

"Well I couldn't resist, you're cute when you sleep." They shared another kiss, this time longer and more passionate. She flung her arms around his neck while Dimitri wrapped his arms around her waist. When their lips parted, Dimitri frowned and sighed.

"I want to stay in bed with you forever," he said while running a finger through her hair. "Unfortunately we have a lot of meetings later today."

Byleth's stomach rolled, and she pressed her lips. While she and Dimitri were able to make time for themselves, they still became extra busy with their duties as archbishop and king. She felt the same way as Dimitri right now, wanting to just be with him like this. Perhaps they could stay in bed for a little while...

"I know, and I'm not looking forward to them either." After finished saying that, Byleth beamed. "The first meeting doesn't start until a few hours from now. Why don't we just laze around in bed until then?"

"Are you sure? Even so, we need time to get dressed, have breakfast, speak with the priests and-"

Byleth interrupted Dimitri by giving him a deep kiss on the lips. He immediately returned the kiss with great fervor, his fingers tugging the fabric of her nightgown. Once they stopped to catch their breaths, a silly grin formed on Dimitri's lips.

"I think we can afford to stay here for a bit."

"Good, because I would force you to not get up otherwise," Byleth said with a mischievous smile, and their lips locked once more. They would need to start preparing for their day, but until then she would enjoy their time together under the morning sunlight.
