Weiss was nervous of what she was about to do. She needed to earn Ruby's trust, but she actually became friends with her. She knew her orders, so she had to do this.
She wore a thigh-length strapless dress with a faint color gradation from white to pale blue at the hem. A small piece of black lace sats in the front of her neckline and the hem of the dress is scalloped and stitched to resemble snowflakes, with layers of white tulle under the skirt. Over this, she wears a bell-sleeved bolero with the same color gradation as her dress from shoulder to wrist, lined in red and with a ruffled collar. On the back of the bolero is the Schnee Crest
She also wears a small apple pendant on a silver chain and thin, rectangular silver earrings. Her boots are white, wedged heeled, and higher at the back than the front. They have a small silver decoration across the top of the foot and are lined in red. A thin white sash is tied around her waist with a pouch attached to the back.
"Hey Weiss, you ready for this?" asked Ruby.
Weiss turned to her partner, and said, "Yes, I'm ready... bestie."
Ruby was wearing a black long-sleeved blouse with a high collar and red trim on the sleeves, over which is a black waist cincher with red lacing up the front, and a matching skirt with red lining. She also wears a pair of thick black stockings and black combat boots with red laces, red trims around the top, and red soles.
Her outfit is topped by a red hooded cloak fastened to her shoulders by cross-shaped pins. Her emblem appears as a large silver buckle on her wide black belt, which is slung around her hips on an angle. Attached to her belt are a pocket and a row of bullets.
"Did you just call me your bestie?!" asked Ruby.
"Come on," said Weiss, rolling her eyes.
Today was a special day. It was a partner day with Weiss, and Ruby wanted this to be perfect.
Soon, the two were walking in Vale, and Ruby was very cheerful, and talking very much, and Weiss was smiling, but hating herself on the inside.
Just then, the two turned to an alley, and Ruby asked, "Weiss, were are we?"
After Ruby said that, a group of people appeared behind them.
Ruby looked at them, and asked, "Um, can we help you?"
"Are you the customer?" asked the lead man.
"Um... no?"
"I'm the customer," said Weiss, stepping up.
"A Schnee?" asked the man, "well, that's a surprise."
"Weiss?" asked Ruby.
"Ruby, I'm so sorry about this."
"What do you m-"
Weiss held Ruby's arms down, and held a cloth over her mouth and nose.
The last thing Ruby saw before passing out was Weiss' tear filled eyes.
"I'm so sorry Ruby," said Weiss, "but it's for your own safety."
Later...
Ruby woke up with a massive head ache. She didn't know how much time passed since she was knocked out.
What happened? she thought, My head hurts. I don't remember what happened.
Ruby tried to stand up, but she couldn't! She tried to lift her hands up, but they were stuck!
What's going on!? Why can't I move!?
Ruby then felt her wrists, and her eyes adjusted.
Am I... tied up!?
Ruby looked at her body.
Rope wrapped above and below her breasts, and pinned her arms behind her back in a box tie.
Her thighs, calves, and ankles were tied as well.
She tried to call out, but all that came out was a muffled, "MMMMMMPPH!"
"Hey, she's away!" said a voice.
A flap opened, and Ruby saw a man with blonde hair and a woman with a mowak walked into view.
"Well well well, look who's up," said the man.
"Knock it off Shay!" said the woman, "You know her orders."
"Come on, no one's coming for her. Why shouldn't we have some fun?"
The woman punched Shay, and said, "Allow me to explain what's going on: you now belong to us. We'll take good care of you, especially since you were knocked out."
Knocked out? thought Ruby, Wait, I'm remembering. Where's Yang? Where's Blake!? Where's Weiss!?
Just then, it clicked.
Weiss, she thought, she... drugged me. She sold me to these people!?
2 weeks later...
Ruby laid on her side, and sighed. So many days of being tied up, and failed escape attempts. She had just given up trying to escape.
Living here as prisoner was hell. She was taunted, groped, and was used as target practice with apples. Thankfully, she was never shot. They were keeping her alive, and she just wanted this all to end.
She was just about to close her eyes, when they were slightly blinded by a light. She looked up to see a broken piece of glass. Ruby slowly slid over, and managed to get it with her feet. She then managed to cut herself free. She looked around, and saw Crescent Rose sitting on the crates!
Ruby grabbed it, and managed to get out.
Just then, she quickly ran out of the camp, and outside the gates. She was careful to shut them.
"I must say, I'm impressed."
Ruby turned to see multiple people behind her! She also saw a woman leading them in a strange mask.
Her outfit consisted of a V neck black and red wrap style top with a black pleated skirt that has black shorts underneath, with series of beaded necklaces. She also wears a red obi sash around her waist alongside a red tasset wrapped around her waist that carries her weapon's sheath. Attached to it is a long black object that is either fur or feathers, with a red and white bandana material like hanging from behind her. Her forearms bear red armored gauntlets that protrude outwards and black fingerless gloves. She wore black mid-thigh high boots, that had armor plating with red splatter patterns and black heels.
The woman took off her mask, and she looked very similar to Yang; they shared the same facial shape and long, bushy hair. However, the woman's hair is jet black, her eyebrows are a little bit higher, her complexion is significantly lighter and slight age lines are under her eyes. Her hair is tied by a red bandanna and loosely done up in a ponytail with the ends resembling curved black feathers. A cowlick can be seen protruding from the top of her head, similar to that of her Yang as well.
It then hit her, this was Raven Branwen, Yang's mother!
"Hello Ruby," said Raven, "You escaped. I must say, I'm impressed. Although, we can't just let you go."
"Please. I just want to go home," said Ruby.
"I'm afraid that's not possible. When we were asked to make you disappear, I was planning on killing you, but Yang would never forgive me if she found out. So, I decided to keep you."
"Why am I here?"
"Right to the point, good. See, everyone thinks you're dead. They even had a body made to look like you. The Schnee girl paid us to get rid of you."
"Weiss," whispered Ruby.
"Although, she seemed very upset, based on what my men have told me," said Raven, "But, enough, come, let's talk."
In Raven's tent...
"You're kidding, right!?" asked Ruby.
"I'm not," said Raven.
"Y-You want me, to become a bandit!?"
"Yes. We will help you us get supplies you need, and in return, you will have a place to stay, rest, eat, and even get back to Vale, if you wish to find out why you were betrayed."
Ruby looked at Raven.
"You all seemed to be so close," said Raven, "I never imagined that any of you would do this to another."
"H-How do you know about-"
"Allow me to explain. If you are to become part of this, then you need to know the truth: What's your favorite fairytale?"
Soon, Ruby knew all about the maidens, the relics, Salem, and the god brothers.
Ruby was in shock.
"So, what will it be?" asked Raven, "Just know, I'm sure you'll accept this rather than the alternative."
"Alternative?"
Raven gestured to a bandit holding a coil of rope, at the ready.
Ruby nodded, and said, "I accept."
"Good," said Raven, "for now, get some rest. Vernal, lead Ruby to her tent."
Ruby followed close behind, and looked at other bandits looking at her.
Soon, Vernal opened a tent flap, and Ruby walked in. It wasn't anything special, just a stand with a bed.
Ruby took her boots off, and climbed into bed. She slowly closed her eyes, and cried to sleep, thinking of the betrayal that lead to this.
