Hey guys, here's another MHA fanfic. Inko is such a loving mother and I thought it would be fun to write a sweet story about her and little Izuku. This is just a one-shot story, but I hope you like it. Enjoy!
Being a housewife and a mother isn't always easy. Inko Midoriya always had her hands full especially when she was taking care of her son Izuku. She knew parenting was hard, but it got harder when Hisashi's job sent him to work abroad. Inko never liked the idea of her husband working overseas, but he had assured her that the job paid well, and they didn't have to worry about struggling. Even though he has been away for a long time, his support kept his family in a comfortable, decent apartment.
One warm night, little Izuku was bouncing up and down on the couch with excitement.
"Come on mom! The movie is going to start soon!" he said excitedly
"Hold on, I'm coming!" Inko replied back
As little Izuku eagerly waited, Inko finally came out of the kitchen with a giant bowl of popcorn. She sat down on the couch and little Izuku took the bowl of popcorn. Inko started opening their cans of soda.
"Did I miss anything?" she asked
"Nope, it's about to start," said little Izuku
There was a new hero movie airing on TV that night and little Izuku wasn't going to miss it. Ever since it was announced, he wouldn't stop talking about it. Inko made sure that he was going to see it and she tried making it extra special with munchies. Once the movie started, little Izuku's eyes were glued to the screen as he stuffed his face with popcorn. Inko chuckled softly. It made her happy to see him like this. One of Little Izuku's favorite things in the world was superheroes and Inko knew he wanted to be one someday. Even though his quirk hasn't shown up yet, she kept hoping and praying that her son's dream would come true. About an hour and a half later, the movie ended and Inko turned off the TV. Little Izuku was jumping around with excitement.
"That was great! Did you see how the heroes took out the villains' mom?!" little Izuku asked excitedly
"Yes, I did. It was a great movie, but now its bedtime. Go on and fly off to bed," Inko replied
"Goodnight mom."
"Goodnight Izuku."
As little Izuku took off toward his room, making swoosh and pow sounds, Inko cleaned up the mess in the living room and carried the empty bowl into the kitchen. A few minutes later, Inko was done cleaning and she headed off to bed herself. The apartment was quiet. There was nothing but the sound of the ticking clock. The next morning little Izuku woke up and ran out of his room. He headed towards the kitchen where his mother would be making breakfast, but when he entered the kitchen, he was surprised to find it empty.
"Mom?" little Izuku questioned
It was strange that she wasn't up yet. Little Izuku went over to his mother's room. He knocked before opening the door.
"Mom are you awake?" asked little Izuku
"Izuku honey, don't come in," said Inko
"Mom what's wrong?"
"I caught a cold honey. I'm sorry I didn't cook any breakfast, but I don't want to risk getting you sick."
"Oh no, I'm sorry you're not feeling well."
"Izuku, there are a lot of leftovers in the fridge. You can eat that. I hope that's okay with you."
"Yeah, I like leftovers. Don't worry mom. I know how to use the microwave."
"Hopefully I'll be well by tomorrow."
"You better rest and feel better."
Little Izuku closed the bedroom door and then went back into the kitchen. He went into the fridge and found some leftovers he liked. Little Izuku was careful when he heated it up in the microwave. After breakfast, little Izuku was trying to think of what he could do for Inko. He felt bad that his mother was sick. He looked around the kitchen and started looking through the food pantry. Little Izuku eventually came across a can of soup and a box of crackers.
"Perfect!" he said to himself
He was going to make his mom some soup with crackers. He pushed a chair towards the cupboard and got out a bowl. He set it on the counter and grabbed the can. Thankfully it was the pull off top kind. Little Izuku did have trouble opening it at first, but he managed to pull the lid off along with spilling some of the soup from the can. He poured the soup into the bowl and then grabbed some napkins to clean up the mess he spilled. Little Izuku then carefully placed the bowl into the microwave, closed the door, and hit the one-minute button. While the soup was being warmed up, he found a lap tray and began to set it up.
On the tray he placed crackers, napkins, a spoon, and a box of juice. Little Izuku would have poured his mother a glass of orange juice, but the cups were out of his reach even with the chair. The microwave beeped which told Little Izuku the soup was done. He carefully grabbed the bowl out of the microwave and set it on the center of the lap tray. It was finally complete. Before Little Izuku carried the lap tray, he ran into his room and changed into his Super All Might outfit. He then carefully picked up the lap tray and walked to his mother's room. Once he reached the door, he set the lap tray down and knocked. When Inko responded, Little Izuku opened the door, picked up the lap tray, and walked in just a few steps. Inko sat up with a smile on her face.
"What's all this Izuku?" she asked
"I'm not Izuku, I'm Super All Might, and I made you some soup to help you feel better," he replied
"Awe sweetie, you didn't have to go through all this trouble for me."
"You're always taking care of me, so I want to take care of you."
Inko felt happy tears form in her eyes. It warmed her heart that her son would do anything to help her feel better. By looking at the lap tray, it looked like he put a lot of work into preparing her meal.
"Thank you, sweetie. Go ahead and set the tray down. I'll get it," said Inko
"But I could just bring it to you," replied little Izuku
"I know, but I don't want you to get sick, remember?"
"Oh right."
Little Izuku set the lap tray down and walked out of the room. Before closing the door, he wished his mother well. He then rushed to his room to play with his All Might action figures. A few days later, Inko was all better and that made little Izuku happy. After they had lunch, they went out. Little Izuku didn't understand why they needed to go into town for, but he just continued walking with his mother. About ten minutes later, they arrived at an ice cream parlor. Little Izuku's eyes brightened up.
"What are we doing here mom?" he asked
"I wanted to treat you to some ice cream. I had planned to do this sooner, but I ended up getting sick. Now that I'm better, we can finally enjoy some ice cream," said Inko
"Yay!"
Little Izuku jumped up and down with excitement before rushing into the ice cream parlor. Inko just let out a laugh and followed her son inside. Today turned out to be an awesome day.
THE END
Sorry that this one-shot story ended up being short, but I enjoyed writing it. I always love writing stories about little kids bonding with their parents or parent. I may write more stories about little Izuku and Inko. It's just so cute! I'll be writing more MHA stories soon and I need to post new chapters to my other stories that are starting to collect dust. That's all for now. See you later.
